My parents ordered a Tremclad rust paint specifically asking for Tremclad,when they picked it up from the Home Hardware that have been going to their entire lives the sales associate switched product to a Home Hardware brand.Apparently after noticing this issue quickly the purchaser requested the actual product that was ordered being the Tremclad Rust paint and the clerks refused stating no refunds until the end of the pandemic.Now it is notable that my parents are seniors and too appon good faith that the representation of the store and it's associates would not deviate from an ordered and specifically requested product.It would appear that because the lack of understanding and proper corporate policies that the request was not meant and an exchange of words was given.The associates then followed up with the ending conversation of not only not coming to a reasonable solution of the matter but proceeded to follow up with making a police call after they left distraught over the transaction.It appears that they are now banned from the store for life! Now since they are not tech savy I am writing this email along with correspondence on their behalf to corporate in regards to the sales associates behavior and Home Hardware's values and policy breach.It is notable that the paint could not be returned but being long time valued customer because of the sales associates mistake a credited can of the requested order should followed. Doing work on my Jet Pump and broke a piece that goes to the housing of the pump. They have a similar pump in the store so I was able to explain what I needed it. I believe it was the owner of the store that was in on a Saturday. He was able to find a similar part to replace the broken part and was able to get the pump running again,

This is a true north home grown hardware store. You won't be disappointed visiting. The staff are friendly. The costs are good. I would highly recommend this store for everything hardware. They manage to fit in the stuff you can't find anywhere else! It would hurt if they went out of business that's how good they are! They even have the stuff the local mennonites need! Absolutely a historic hardware store that is a big plus to the area.
