This business makes money by extorting it from grieving families and I am absolutely upset with their profit margin. I placed a floral order through a local mortuary website. The flowers were $48, and when I got my statement, they had tacked on tax and a $19.95 service charge. That is 41% of the total cost. I called CFS and they told me the service charge was to cover the credit card processing. I cannot believe you charge grieving families $19.95 to process a credit card order for a $48.54 floral order. Do you think it’s reasonable for the person who runs the website to be tacking on an extra 41% to cover the cost of running the credit card and wiring an order to the florist? I spoke with the local florist. She doesn’t see any of that money. That is pure grift and I cannot believe you justify yourselves in profiting that richly off of people who are paying respects to the dead.

My first and last order with CFS. The flowers I ordered did not resemble the picture of what I chose from their website. When I complained, they offered a small token discount off what I paid when, in my opinion, I should have received a total refund. But they refused to further address my dissatisfaction and stopped communicating.

I see they are strong with building websites. Every single page of the online obituary and event announcement included "Send flowers" We didn't need any flowers. I wanted a link after the in lieu of flower please consider a small donation in his honor to his affiliated Mason lodge. This was done but the page was still cluttered with multiple "Send flowers" links and pictures. I asked for this to be removed or at least reduced to just one time but that feature wasn't modifiable? I see a charge from them yet I have no idea what it is for because we purchased flowers from a reputable organization .

Awful service! Please beware if you are thinking of using this company for your funeral home. They offered flower arrangements to be delivered and the flowers never showed up to the mass- not even a replacement! Nothing! These flowers were supposed to be a stand in for myself since I was too far away to be present at the funeral. My family was looking for these flowers and they just never showed up, and I'm devastated. What's worse, the company isn't even sympathetic. They offered a delivery to a relative- but the funeral is over and my relatives don't want a tripod of flowers in their house. Their other alternative was a refund, but that doesn't give me back the moment of flowers being present at the funeral. When I asked for the delivery to be made and a refund, they simply said no.

The folks at CFS have been nothing but professional, helpful, and able to respond to all our our questions and concerns quickly and efficiently. We wouldn't use anyone else for our funeral home website needs.

Absolute joke. I picked out flowers days in advance of a funeral that I could not attend and 2 days before the service they canceled my order because it "was outside the delivery area". They should have known this before and taken care of this important delivery.

I had to worse experience ever with this company. No professionalism what so ever. I've been in Customer Service for all 20 years which includes running a complete call center. The way I was treated today by the Customer Service Manager Page was horrible. First off I didn't receive a plant that was to be delivered to me at my mother-in-laws funeral on yesterday. After contacting several people I was finally told that this company is the person who handles the orders. They sent it to a florist that couldn't complete the order and they responded the very next day. However CFS continued to blame the florist and per the florist she actually did it correctly the first time. CFS manager Page continue to but all the blame on the florist. Regardless of who was at fault it was not my responsibility as a customer to do the tracking down of this and my friend should've been refunded plus a flower sent to us. This is a time of loss for my family and I had to deal with horrible customer service on trying to get money back that belongs to someone that I know. Next time allow the customer to talk. Listen then the customer will listen to you. Between the rep and the manager no one listened and that's not good business. I really hope you learn something from this because if you don't your customer services is going to hurt the business.

I wish I had read these reviews prior to using this service! We ordered flowers from extended family to be delivered since Covid 19 prevented us all from traveling. The website is impressive and professional looking and although the flowers were obviously overpriced I was happy. Until 7:30 pm the night before the service. I received the impersonal email from Erin Hensley saying sorry your order won’t be fulfilled in time. No explanation, no substitution, no flowers! I did NOT choose to have them delivered two days later to the HOME of my great Aunt’s daughter which was the only option other than a refund. What was my cousin going to do with a large funeral arrangement in her home, miles away from the gravesite two days after the service was over? I couldn’t even tell my elderly Mom that the flowers she so lovingly picked out for her last remaining dearly beloved aunt didn’t arrive. I called around first thing in the morning (2 hour time difference) desperate for any kind of flower delivery but there were no options because this was a small town. My impression is that this company is more concerned with setting up slick looking websites for funeral homes, but doesn’t prioritize the reliability of the floral deliveries. My subsequent emails with Erin were curt and not at all conciliatory. Reading through the responses to similar complaints, it seems the least they could do is be upfront about the fact that they don’t follow up with the florists they contract with. Do yourself a favor and call a local florist directly. You will be spared the exorbitant expense and irreparable disappointment.

We are a small town florist, I recently became aware of CFS. One of the things in the floral industry that we battle is "order takers". They advertise all over the internet. 1-800 flowers, AVAS, Flowers Sent Today etc, they operate by stealing an order when a customer does a search for a town, that otherwise would have went directly to a local florist and then sending it to that same florist minus a %30 cut for themselves plus a service fee. Small florists don't have the resources to advertise like these guys. Well CFS is another order gather, by providing a FREE website to funeral homes they make their money from whatever flower shop is associated with a particular funeral home. So the flower shop pays for the funeral homes website. They are just working another angle on the order gathering scam. A customer orders flowers off the CFS website and pays a total of about $100 and CFS sends the order to a local florist for about $65. The customer gets to the funeral service and wonders why they were cheated. Funeral homes are typically million or multi million dollar per year organizations and a flower shop is typically lucky to do 5-10% of that per year, many do a lot less. CFS makes the floral industry look bad and the funeral industry as well, when a customer orders from the funeral homes website and gets way overcharged by CFS.

I ordered a plant through a local Funeral Homes website which is ran by CFS. everything went fine with the order and delivery. The trouble I have with CFS is they charged me a 54.42% increase from the price of the actual product that was received. This amount of "service fees" is extreme! I will never use a website ran by them for this reason!

Don’t use this company! After paying and getting a guarantee that my order would be delivered before the 4pm services, it was a no show at the services!! After confirming that my order was never delivered I reached out to CFS 2 days after burial to find out what happened. I was told the florist was unable to complete the order...even thought I received a guaranteed confirmation that it would be there, but did I receive any update that they couldn’t meet their commitment? No, nothing till I reached out to them!! Now understand, they took my payment in full with a guaranteed delivery confirmation. The only option they offered was delivery to a house or refund the price. I requested that they give me both and was told it’s one or the other. I emailed them the following day(now 3 days after the services) to deliver the flowers to a family members house and to deliver it that day(Saturday) and requested a 50% refund due to inconvenience. No response from CFS about having flowers delivered and shocker...no flowers delivered over the weekend. So now it’s Monday(6 days after placing order) no contact from CFS... I email them again to find out what’s going on? I requested a phone call to discuss this matter. With-in 5 minutes I get the call. “Matt” informed me he doesn’t work weekends that’s why no one responded to my emails and the only offer I could get was a refund or to reorder and have them delivered. Still no apology from him or the company! I informed him that I just want the full refund now since it has been almost a week since I placed the order. I explained that this has been the most insensitive dealings I have had with any funeral service company, he responded that they deal with thousands of funerals every week and It happens! Really? That’s the response you have? Now to wait 5-10 days for my refund. And if they try to say this isn’t what happed...well I have copies of all the emails that I’ll be glad to add to this review and a record of the one and only phone call from them only after I requested they call! So please use a different company when you are dealing with the loss of a loved one.
