Xplornet sent me an email saying that I was close to my data limit and that my speed would slow down once I hit that limit. I have a home business so that was not acceptable. The email gave me a phone number but the first time I called it the wait time was 36 minutes. The second time was 28 minutes. I then sent a web request for a phone call and after 48 hours they still had not called. I then called back and had them call me back which they did. I was then shuffled around from person to person because they could not access my account. I was on the phone with them mostly on hold for over half an hour during my lunch break. In the end they could not resolve the issue. Horrible service. On top of that we are paying for the higher end package with higher speed and higher data. I wouldn't mind paying the higher price except that whenever we try to want Prime Video or Netflix it always buffers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Took 3 different technicians to attach the satellite to the house 2 months after we asked for internet and they overcharged for everything. Way lower speeds than advertised, stuck in a min. year contract with service that was constantly spotty and the best package isn't even unlimited. They tried to sneak expensive bills after ending the contract when they agreed to different terms (this was after being with them for over a year). Glad I finally have the option to leave they are the worst company ever.

Lately it's just worst than ever. They added a 125$ service charge when their equipment fails and needs to be replaced. I have a tower that is a little higher than average (anchored every 20ft by law) and I just had to pay 125$ service charge and the guy basically took pictures and left. Leaving me without internet (been out a week already). We had mentioned our tower more than once to every person we spoke to... how I this even legal. What if the next person decides they will not climb our tower even though it up to code, am I going to be charged again and again. The technician installed in there last year. A technician sent by xplornet...

God awful connection and speeds recently. I have better connection on my cell even though Im in the country, and there is a wifi tower literally down the road. You do work and yet its still horrid?? If there was something better out in my area I'd drop this in a heartbeat. Not worth even considering.

A challenging group to deal with to be sure. Their business model is simply slanted in their favour and they refuse to change until someone challenges them. This can be in general terms or minute specifics. I wait weeks for a tech to show up and when they do they are simply under qualified to troubleshoot and if there is an opportunity to pass the buck to the customer, that is what they do 9 times out of 10. The good news is that eventually this will change or they will go out of business. They simply can't meet CRTC demand for rural broadband. If you can avoid Xplornet I would strongly advise it.

If I could give them a negative 5 star rating, I would. They only exist thanks to a complete lack of competition, which enables them to milk their customers for maximum gain while providing service that would be sub-par for old 56k dial-up. Shameful business practices and non-existent customer service. They have a cozy monopoly in our region thanks to an ill-conceived government plan to provide internet to rural areas. They ignore the CRTC as a matter of course. Really a complete and utter fail at all levels.

I pay over a hundred dollars a month for essentially no internet. As I write this my internet is at 0.10 mbps, its supposed to be at 10mbps.

It took a couple of tries before reaching someone who knew what they were doing, but once I reached the 2 CSR's, they were AMAZING and got me up and running in no time- very grateful for them as I was getting frustrated by the other 5 that didn't know what they were doing....if all the reps had the knowledge as these two, I believe this company would get ONLY 5 star ratings- that's how great these 2 were!! Very pleased!! ????

No incoming calls for a month on the VOIP phone service. Have called service desk 3 times, 1 hour plus each time. Will take 6 to 7 days to correct the problem is the answer. Where do I send the invoice for my time? Still paying $120/month. Do you think a company will ever take customer service serious?

Terrible internet company..they can promise you everything and deliver you nothing...can't even give you 3 mbsp reliably...worst business ever..at this moment with only me on im getting .033 mbps...I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this joke of a company

Don't even come close to the speeds they promise. They sell you on download speeds of up to 10 mps but the key words are UP TO. In reality you get 1 to 2 mps. You have to call every few months because your service has stopped working and they say the same thing every time, "unplug your modem or maybe you need a new router". If there were other options for rural internet I would definitely switch.

Been a customer for about 5 years now, and it started out service was great, We were getting what we paid for and then slowly over the years we've been throttled constantly a long with many other users i know. Really just poor everything with the service they supply. constant throttling depending on how much you use in about 15 minute intervals

BEWARE this is the worst rural internet offered. they advertise "up to" speeds that you will never see. to get our of their contract costs 450 dollars.

Slow speeds prior to COVID. Post COVID speeds have dropped significantly. 1 mb/s to 3mb/s on average. Unbelievably slow even at non peak times (midnight on a weekday). Not worth 100$ a month. Can't wait for Starlink.

The worst company I have ever dealt with right here. If your considering Xplornet but have other options, I encourage you to go with any other company! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We didn't have a choice when we purchased our home but even after two years I'm still constantly emailing to inquire with different companies in hopes of ANY other provider offering internet services.

Xplornet is a good rural internet service provider. They take the time to explain things on the phone in their office. They have good technicians that will come out and service the equipment that you have for your wireless service. The prices are fair and they are always helpful and making your plan a little bit more easier and beneficial budget-wise.

You will be lucky to get 30% of your transfer speed for two to three times the price of cable or dsl. Currently in a rural location looking for better alternatives.
