i agree with Tony, be careful before getting into bed with Fronius. i purchased 15 machines and was not told the whole truth about pulse until they had landed at my business. im in western Canada and consumables take a long time to come and your also stuck to only buying them from them, so if theirs any sort of dispute or miss understanding about an invoice they can hold back shipping and shut you down. I’ve known about the Fronius brand for several years. Mostly thought of them as leaders in high end welding robotics, primarily with the automotive and industrial side of things here in North America. Recently I’ve been introduced to more of the company’s “portable” weld units, namely the TransSteel 2200. I have found that their portable weld units are incredibly advanced in comparison to competing brands. The staff at the Mississauga branch are highly informative and most importantly, friendly and always eager to help when I have a technical question. In the fast world of today’s welding industry, good service and great products are what keep me smiling. That’s what Fronius offers to me...thanks folks! Cheers!

After waiting almost a year I finally purchased the Magicwave 230i MV. The machine is nothing short of amazing. The aluminum side of the machine is the best money can buy (within its class). When I purchased the machine the setup was tricky, since I’m used to using the old school Lincoln’s. After reading part of the owners manual (it’s over 160 pages), I figured it out quickly. The torch IMO needs more RND, beautiful piece, just very bulky and some what heavy. I also had an issue with the torch, I called harald (fronius sales rep) and had a replacement free of charge the same day. CK worldwide makes after market torches and adapters for the magicwave, after getting my rig setup and dialed in I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you fronius for making this state of the art welder and for great customer service! I am now currently trying to get the company I work for to ditch the Lincoln’s and go fronius. DON’T bother with the China welders, I’ve used them you will be disappointed.

A big thanks to Ed Molloy and the staff at Fronius Canada. I ordered a Trans Steel 2200 on Monday and was welding with it Thursday night and why that so impressive, it was shipped from the opposite side of the country. I put the Trans Steel 2200 to work right away, was easy to set up and preformed flawlessly, It’s light and super portable. ( weights less than 50’ of welding cable) and very adaptable with mig, tig and stick options. No more dragging hundreds of feet of welding cable into these job sites for me. Awesome guys. I started looking for a multi process welder to replace my single function unit and came across this manufacture. Not familiar with the name I ignored it and continued looking at main stream blue and red brands. However after multiple online reviews I wanted to investigate the Fronius brand further for comparison in quality of weld. Made a call to the Fronius office and after a few questions they invited me to their training/demo centre to try out any welder I wanted. Man, was I treated like a prince by Schuyler (sales manager) and Ivan (welding tech guru) during my visit. I narrowed my choices to a Transsteel 2700 (without any sales pressure or hint of) and I'm super happy with the quality of welds I'm getting on different fab projects. If you can measure steel thickness (welder input parameter) and spread butter, this welder will pretty much do the rest for you. A big plus for me was the welder fan on demand cooling instead of the continuous noise I have from my blue brand. Another huge deciding factor was if I have issues with the welder it gets repaired at Fronius in Mississauga and I can talk to the tech doing the work. Overall after using it for a month and with the great tech/sales support from the lads in the office my next unit will be a Fronius.

almost impossible to get anything done. nobody will help you i've been trying to order a $62 dollar part for a month now. i have a very expensive welder that will not work without it. and frankly customer service here is an absolute joke.....

Solar division very helpful! Tech support on the ball and will do what it takes to get the inverters back up and running - superior service. Inverters can take it...have an inverter that has been running flawlessly since 2010! Highly recommended!

I ended up at Fronius because as a hobbyist I was looking for a machine that could give me a step up towards becoming a better welder. I was invited to an open house where I could try out the equipment and see them in action. I ended up buying not just one machine, but two - the TransSteel 2200 and the MagicWave230i. These machines made an immediate improvement to my capabilities, but even more important was the willingness of the team at Fronius to answer my questions and even give me some great training and demos at their facility. Fronius may cost a bit more (but not much more when you really compare) but they're worth every penny.

Been working with Fronius Products since the start of Fronius USA in 2002. The welding technology that the company produces, not only for robotics, but also for hand welding applications is absolutely phenomenal! My company (AWI) uses Fronius welding technology, not only as the preferred equipment for integration into our automated machines but also as the preferred equipment to manufacture all of our components with. We use Fronius Technology on all of our fabrications! In addition to the outstanding technology, working with Matt Bolger and his team (Fronius Canada) has been a pleasure. Matt is very professional and has that "sense of urgency" when responding to clients. Keep up the good work Matt!
