Picking a vet is a super tough decision, finding a vet that will truly tell it to you like it is every step of the way and be there when your dog reaches old age (almost 16), tell you, you are a great pet parent and reassure you constantly this is what happens and help you through a difficult process, all I can say is Dr. Hanna and her team are amazing! They are with you from the start right through to the end. During the good, the bad and absolutely horrible times. It takes really special people to do this and this team is absolutely the very best. I swore when I lose Tiger, I won't get another dog but they might change my mind just because of the above and beyond care they have provided my wonderful best friend over the years. This vet is incompetent, she gave my sick kitten a vaccination and killed it! Please stay away! Both kittens had fleas that they did not see that were sucking the living daylights out of him I had to go to the 24 hour emergency vet clinic on Eglington they were wonderful there, the sickly one died 15 minutes later!

I have been overall very happy with this veterinary office to date and I have had to deal with a number of medical emergencies and issues with my cats there. I have had many cats and many vets over the years and this office and it's Vet's especially Dr. Hannah stand out as one of the better one's and I am picky having been let down by others in the past. Dr. Hannah has always avoided unnecessary tests based on her experience. Always able to get an appointment, especially when it counts. They also makes sure to cover all the bases.

We took our dog to see Dr. Hannah after noticing some changes in our little guy. After a complete examination, we were told that our little guy has diabetes and he would have to be on insulin. You can only imagine how heartbroken we were to hear our dogs diagnosis. However, Dr. Hannah and her staff took the time to explain what Maxx needs and showed us what we will have to do. She provided us with everything we need from insulin to the right type of food. During these difficult times and both my husband and I being out of work, we were so worried about how we would be able to move forward with the cost of Maxxs' treatment (it's a lifetime commitment). However, Dr. Hannah was so helpful and did what she could to help save us on some on the cost. We have seen Dr. Hannah and Dr. Scalzo throughout the years and have always been happy with them both. They truly care about their clients and furry friends. The whole staff is very kind & helpful. We thank you again Dr. Hannah and staff with all our hearts. Franca, John & Maxx ????????????

This review is 12 years overdue but after stumbling upon some of these negative reviews I was shocked that their talking about the same office . In all these years Ive been taking my cat here I’ve always been treated with respect and my animal has always been cared for in The most loving way. I never felt pressured into buying any of their products, and I feel Dr. Hannah Has been very conservative in her treatment planning and has never prescribed anything to my cat that was not needed. I never felt rushed during a appt and always left with all my questions answered and staff are amazing. Honestly Reasonable prices, very clean office and I noticed they are always updating their clinic with new technology to Better provide the best care for their patients for example they now have a separate cat only area. I have recommended them to my friends and they also have had great experiences there. In regards to one of the reviews here saying they were quoted a big amount for dental and told a lower amount elsewhere as someone who has had their cat go through this procedure twice i appreciated being given a higher estimate so I can better prepare myself for a worst case scenario vs being given a low amount and be surprised later and both times the fees were lower than expected at the end Hope this review helps someone be put at ease honestly try them they are great vets .

We are so happy we chose to bring Fozzy to St. Clair Vet. Dr. Hannah is wonderful and Fozzy loves her and the entire staff! There must be something about this place, because I have never seen someone (Fozzy) so excited to go to a doctor ever!

Dr Hannah is undoubtedly, an experienced vet. However, her business practice is questionable. I was charged a 100% markup on a medication that's available at PetSmart with a Rx for half the price. I was also charged for a phantom – and unnecessary – urine test that never took place (the container sat in front of me during the visit and was not at any point moved off the table). I was spoken to like a kindergarten student, and left the clinic with a $425 bill. I will join a few others in my neighbourhood who've had similar experiences with Dr Hannah, and say that this vet is not exactly humane in her treatment of pet owners.

I brought my dog of 8 years to St.Clair Veterinary Facilities however, things turned for the worse. My dog was scheduled for his routine annual check up (rabbies, worms, etc.) and in the room, he was squirming and very uncomfortable with his interactions with the vet. I have brought him here for 8 years and he is fine with going to the vet. It was different this day. 24 hours later, he is laying around, unable to walk, doesn't have an appetite, breathing problems and heart failure. I called them for another appointment as his (my dog) world was turning upside down on him. They agreed to see him the next day. The next morning, he was laying almost lifeless and I drove him immediately to the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. Just as I pulled into the lot, he passed away in my car. The VEC let me know he had a heart failure. I am in full confidence it was from an injection from the vet. I lived the last 2 years with the loss of my boy. I now bring my dogs elsewhere. I should've listened to my instincts when my boy was not acting right that day with his injections. I can never take back going to this clinic. I can never take back losing my boy.

Terrible ! I came in at 4:45pm for my dog to have a shot and waited till 6:30pm to see someone. Mind you that they were not busy they called my name to come in a room and I just waited and waited. I also got a parking ticket because I didn't think a shot would take more then an hour.

Was not at all a fan of this veterinarian. Anytime I would take my cat there I would never receive a straight answer or diagnosis from Dr Hannah. In fact, it almost sounded like she was constantly being sarcastic and beating around the bush, prescribing nonsense without really assessing the issue. This happened during each of my visits; finally I decided that despite the proximity and extended hours it was not worth it. I absolutely did not feel comfortable bringing any of my pets back there.

We recently moved to the area and had to unexpectedly put our cat to sleep last week. We dropped her off to get a diagnosis, and shortly after, we received a call from Dr Hannah. She told my boyfriend that our cat was very sick with cancer, and had very limited breaking capacity. She spoke in a very casual, almost joking tone, not one you’d expect to hear when you’re being told your cat is dying. We got back to the vet, and the girl at the front desk who greeted us was kind and empathetic. We went to the room where our cat was already strapped to the IV. My boyfriend and I were devastated to say the least, but Dr Hannah kept using this playful, sarcastic tone while showing us the x-rays. We had mere minutes to say goodbye and no warning before our cat was falling asleep, while Dr Hannah continued to throw out clever quips about how she was going to drink wine and eat cheese that night. I couldn’t even muster a response through my tears. We get it, she’s been doing this for a long time and it’s not as emotional for her, but this was soul-crushing for us. We would have appreciated some compassion and understanding on this really difficult day. Again, the girl at the front was very kind, but we will not be returning.

Took a friend & his cat. However once lived near by 30 yrs ago & used their services. Dr Hanna owns the practise. While very serious in nature upon the 1'st meet, you will quickly find she is knowledgeable & explain options to treat your pet.

The service from Dr. Hannah was bizarre at best and harmful at worst. She lacked professionalism and continuously sang about my kitten's testicles instead of answering my questions clearly, and sent me home with Royal Canin Kitten Development wet food, which I found out after has questionable by-products and wheat gluten. This change in diet made my kitten lose 10% of his weight in 2 days through vomitting and diarrhea, to which she casually said "well I like that he's not dead" despite my obvious state of stress. This weight loss cost me hundreds of dollars in tests, medications, subcutaneous fluids and more rounds of deworming, all of which revealed that there is nothing wrong with the kitten once we changed foods. My kitten is happy, gaining weight and passing normal bowel movements with another veterinary clinic. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone.

My dogs have been going here for 5 years. Entire staff (vets, tech, counter) all friendly, helpful, compassionate. Prices fair. Entire clinic reliable and flexible. I generally get along with people who tell-it-like-it-is, and Dr. Hannah manages to combine a no-nonsense attitude to her business with a warm and friendly attitude towards her patients and their people. Very easy to find free street parking on nearby residential roads.

I called today to inquire about fees. the receptionist was very polite. I asked about the fee for my kitten's FVRCP Vaccine and i was told it would be $160.00. The vaccine was $28.00 and the remain would be for consultation. I called around and found other veterinary prices from $109.00 - $90.00 tax included. I still don't know why we have to pay so much to keep our our pets healthy. I still remember when being a veterinary was not just a way of making money....

Dr. Hannah is the most unprofessional veterinarian I have ever dealt with. Interrupted me multiple times while I was asking questions until I had to raise my voice to finish a sentence. Added $100 worth of pain killers for my dog without even consulting me. When I asked her to explain why this was added, she responded "half of it for now, half of it for after the surgery" even though we never confirmed the surgery. Moved to Wychwood Park Animal Hospital and received great service there.

So iv never had much faith in the vet, but my cat vader was suffering with heavy ear mites.witchwood gave me a quote of $400+, but this place said $190 +\- meds. Just to clean the mites! Brought vader in, the doc spent 3 min max on him. Dident clean nothing and on top was gonna charge me $399 with the meds. I said no to the $200 extra for some 2ml of gel. I left $210 out and no differents with the cats ears. The doc charged me $210 dollers for 3mins, gaze opon his ears and use 2 quetips, gave me 5ml worth of ear drops and sent me on my way!

We all love our pets immensely. Since living in Toronto for the past 15 years, I have had pets and they have been treated by vets who were sometimes blazee. Such is not the case at this facility. I have found them to be very caring, very professional and affordable. If the service ends up being pricey, they have payment programmes to help with that astronomical cost of living. I really, very much highly recommend this facility and I encourage pet owners to come here.

I would not advise going to see this veterinarian. Arrogant, pushed selling something from the clinic every time I went in with my puppy (even when I declined), gave me false information about the food she was recommending (which they sell). In every appointment I was made to feel that I had no voice in the care of my pup, despite having put a lot of work into seeking out specialist information for his breed. The vet also recommended nose surgery that our new vet said was not at all necessary for my boy. I cancelled having my puppy neutered here when they didn't give me any instruction ahead of time for how to prepare him for surgery. The reception staff here are lovely, and they are probably the only reason why I returned more than once. Switched to Queen West Vets and couldn't be happier with the care there.

These guys are absolute crooks of the worst kind. Absolute crooks. And believe me, I don't use that kind of language often. Here's what happened: Took my dog in for a dental estimate, and the doctor took some time out to take a look. Nice, I thought. No appointment necessary. Then, she proceeded to tell me that the dental work would be $1200 to $1500. I was stunned! But she went on an on about how "expensive" it is, etc. As I was walking through the door she said, "Er, on second thought, that'll probably be $1500". So, cool. I figured that was the price. But just to be safe, I called a couple of other vets (and brought the dog into one as well). ALL of the vets quoted me between $500 and $700. A little disparity? You bet! These people should really be ashamed of themselves. Worst con artists ever. Avoid these guys unless you're allergic to your money.

I didn't like Dr.Hannah at all. Talks over you, doesn't allow you to say a word during at appointment. I took my 21 year old cat to her, they did blood work, zero examination. So I noticed my cat had a bit of a bump on his leg. So when I called them to complain about that, reception says that is up to the owner to bring it up. Why do we pay for an examination fee, didn't lay one finger on my cat. Then she calls me over the phone to ask if I wanted an additional test run, I said sure. But of course communication isn't always clear on the phone, and this was asked after I paid an expensive bill. So they called for 4 months saying I owed them for the test. Said if I don't pay it then interest is added. Well I am not paying this as it was a sneaky tatic plus the bill was taken care of when I left. I don't like the clinic. Front staff are warm, friendly and professional. But Dr.Hanna needs to understand she will never know our pets better than there owners, and should encourage us to be proactive and ask questions. But then she wouldn't be able to hose us for the upsene amount of money she charges.

Dr. Hannah has been treating our pets for more than 30 years and we are very happy with our experiences at St. Clair Veterinary. Yesterday, Dr. Scalzo operated on Mitzi, our beloved beagle, to remove a growth on her leg. We can tell Mitzi was well taken care of. Dr. Hannah and the clinic staff have been wonderful in supporting us through this very tricky time. Since the doctors treat their front end reception with such a lack of respect it makes me wonder how my animals would be treated. This clinic was recommended to me but Dr. Hannah Dr. Miller and James cannot even show any manners or politeness to their receptionists. Do they not realize the front end help will make or break their business? Shame on you! I took my dogs elsewhere.

I received a call around 11:15 or so about some pills I have to pick up and the person that called me informed me that "it's been a month". She was short in manner and extremely rude. When I hung up because her behaviour was so uncalled for she called back and left a rude message. I called back to speak to someone else and told her that behaviour was rude instead of apologizing for her tone she preceded to rush me off the phone. I asked for a call back and for my files to be transferred somewhere else. I have NEVER received such atrocious behaviour and after spending thousands at this clinic and have been going to them for YEARS I am disappointed. We are all impacted by Covid and if she had bothered to inquire as to HOW I was doing she would know that due to PERSONAL financial issues I was unable to purchase because you know what we are in a PANDEMIC. Oh Update. I spoke to the Veterinarian and she stuck up for her employee. And said that she is Trinidadian and that she had an island pleasantness. As a Jamaican I have no idea what that was suppose to imply. She also interrupted me and didnt let me finish explaining what happened. I said I have been coming for years without an incident so I am not a difficult person. She brushed me off and was even MORE rude than her secretary. Trust me DO NOT GO. You can find a vet that is consistent These guys just want money and treat the animals better than the parents of the animals. I will NEVER spend another dollar there. This also could have been solved with a simple apology and some acknowledgement of my feelings. I work in customer service and I would never speak to someone like that. Especially in a pandemic we all need to be patient with one another. I am not working right now and on EI. Have some understanding and be kind.

We used to bring our dog to this clinic. That is until they prescribed medication and gave us incorrect instructions for how to administer it. When we returned to follow-up as we were concerned for our dogs deteriorating health they blamed us for not following their instructions. It wasn't until we showed them the instructions provided by them that they relented. But, did they apologize? No. Dr. Hannah couldn't even be bothered to speak with us directly. They treated us terribly and demonstrated they care only about their bottom line. We decided to no longer use this clinic as we felt they showed no remorse, only hubris. And then today, our dog got loose from her walker. A good Samaritan found her, contacted us immediately, as they were close to the clinic we suggested they take our dog over there and ask if they could hold her for ten minutes while we made our way over to pick her up. The clinic refused because "she's no longer a patient." Talk about spiteful. For people who claim to love dogs it's very obvious this clinic is more concerned with their bottom line.

Been a client of Dr Hannah for 30+ years. Not only has she been the most compassionate Doctor towards all of my animals (presently Jake and Jerzee Button, who adore her) she treats all her staff and clients with the upmost respect. I would not continue seeing her if this wasn't the case. Highly recommend anyone to her clinic. It's extremely hard for me to believe some of the bad reviews. I'm assuming there must have been some sort of misunderstanding when they went in for their visit. Anyone looking for a vet, please see Dr Hannah. Staff is caring and attentive and have never pressured me to buy anything or to spend money if unnecessary. I recently had to put my cat down and they went above and beyond even sending me a condolence card signed by all the staff with individual messages and a print of my baby's paw. Cannot say enough good things.

I first met Dr. Hannah when she joined St. Clair Veterinary Facilities approximately 30 years ago. Since that time, she has demonstrated her outstanding veterinarian/medical expertise by providing the very best of care for my current Yorkie (Maggie May) and past poodles (Ginger and Scruffy). It is her kindness and compassion towards my dogs, and us, that make her special to me and my family. And, in the event that we should unexpectedly need her services, we know she will be there for us. A special shout-out to the clinic’s wonderful administrative staff, veterinary technicians and other medical personnel including Dr. Scalzo and Dr. Miller.

Took our cat there who didn't have much hope. We had x-rays already done a few days earlier but Dr Miller kept trying to get us to commit to testing that was very expensive knowing that he wouldn't make it. We did have more x-rays done showing the same thing. Needless to say they seem to prey on our sensitivity and wanting us to spend over $1000 on even more testing. As she said to try and find out what has caused him to get sick. We didn't & took him home only to euthanize him the next day. Very unfortunate that they are so callus, $$$$
