My regular vet was too busy to see my failing 14 year old shepherd. Could not see for 3 weeks, I called Markdale and understanding the seriousness came to our home for a house visit. Was a 35 minute drive. Needless to say I switched vets! Took my new pup for her 1st visit , like the fact they do not push dog food sales like my previous clinic.

Gizmo loves visiting the Dr and all his other human friends at Markdale Veterinary. He is a very friendly little guy and is always acknowledged by the staff and treated wonderful. They don’t pressure you into purchasing anything, they will answer any questions you have. As a furmom I’ve found them to be very supportive.

This seems to be a big veterinary practise operation with both large-animal and companion animal focused vets. We take our 2 retrievers here for all needs and have been happy with both the care and costs associated. Model of delivery still has us waiting in the parking lot while vet takes care of the dogs inside. I accept the need for now but really look forward to being with them and talking to the vet during the exams. Vet techs here are the friendliest and truly seem to like the dogs - though I bet they are very good to *all* their clients. I do get to talk to the doctor and always get a follow up phone call a few days after visiting. I think they are genuinely interested in my pooches health. Cost: This practise charges less than my last vet did for exams & medications. That's not to say it's actually cheap, but I don't know of any medical care that can be called inexpensive. I don't think they do any unnecessary work and they will discuss charges beforehand. Definitely recommended vets.

Great friendly animal loving staff!!! The vet they sent out to my place to fix my horses lacerated knee was the BEST...she was calm and knew what she was doing and another thing i liked about her was that i cud ask her any questions about what she was doung and wud explain it to me perfectly! Which i think is pretty cool!! So great job and keep it up!!

We’ve been bringing our dogs and cat here since we moved to the area in 2012. The office staff and medical staff are for the most part friendly and professional. Our English bulldog Emma required a tooth extraction and Dr Foot did a wonderful job. Emma has had many run-ins with porcupines and they’ve always been good about treating her, even during off hours. The only reason I’m not giving a five star is because of the last time we had to take her in to get quills removed. I did not recognize the person in the office and she required a large deposit before working on our poor hurting dog. I really had no problem with that but when I asked when they started requiring a deposit first she replied, “When people stopped paying their bills.” I found that a rather unprofessional response. The only reason I asked is because they’d never asked for a deposit previously and I found it odd. I always pay on the spot. Anyway, we will continue to bring our pets here. I feel they’re in good hands.

Markdale Veterinary Services provides much needed on call emergency services to animals in the area. Their veterinarians are highly competent hard workers that keep themselves available for 24 hours despite not functioning as an emergency exclusive clinic. Keep up the great work!

Staff are top notch and well trained. I've trusted them with my pets for five years, and the only thing that makes me hold back a star is it can get pricey very fast... but it's worth it to know your animals are well cared for. Would give 4.5 stars if there was an option!

I brought my cat here when he had a medical emergency, they were able to get me in same day and the care we received was phenomenal. Everyone at the clinic clearly cares about animals and I am considering brining my cats here for their regular care.

This clinic only cares about the money, and will not treat your animal until they see money. They do not care for the animals and I strongly recommend going to a different clinic, for your pet's sake.

Had to wait in my car because of COVID, but not their fault. At least my puppy was able to get her shots. Had to wait a bit because they were running behind, but it's to be expected, just like a doctor's office! They were very apologetic, courteous and friendly.

It was an emergency case and we not register in this office so they had no obligation to accept us on Sunday. Dr Fox was understanding accepted my dog. Great fast diagnoses, try to keep the cost low, did not perform unnecessary tests. Next day few medication afte my dog was 100% normal ( well normal means back being crazy) very pleasant and helpful. If we can ever we choose them as primary vet for my dog. Thanks again specially Dr Fox.

My dogs were taken for vaccines and bloodwork. They went happily with the techs and came out just as happy. These days you can't accompany your pet into the clinic but I know by how my dogs acted that they had great care while in the clinic.

Phoned Markdale this morning twice. Once to ask for an appointment to take a cutarebra(grub) from my bunnies neck. They said they DON'T TREAT RABBITS. I called a second time to bring to their attention their logo advertises a RABBIT! They need to adjust their logo- it is FALSE advertising. DON'T waste your time calling there if you have a bunny...

Took my dog to this vet years ago about a lump he had on his chest they checked it and told me that his breed gets lumps and bumps like this all the time they did nothing not even tests Just recently I have know found out my dog has cancer in the lump that was on his chests I had to take him to another vet in order to get the tests done and find all this out I would never recommend this vet to anyone with an animal they care about because all they want is your money
