Worst service and they only care about the money over the wellbeing of animals. Dr. Rekhi did not care to do any check up on my dog prior to giving him vaccines. He was extremely unhelpful and avoided answering questions we had. When we asked about heart worm treatments, he merely answered "you don't want to know, no, you don't want to know". After asking the same question again, he then further answered "the disease is deadly and the treatment is fatal". It makes me really doubt his knowledgeability and professionalism. He also pushed us to buy medication that he did not bother explaining about. (The receptionist also made us stand there for 15 minutes, for her to finish her work with no other clients, just to make our payment) The overall experience was terrible. My dog was shaking tremendously after coming back from doing blood work at the back (we couldn't see what was done to him). We were also ignored for the whole 15 minutes when we declined to take the medication that no one explained to us about. In the past years, Dr. Kim took a good care of my dog and he was very patient to answer our questions. Not sure what caused this drastic change while he was not present, but enjoy the money and I will NOT be a returning customer.

Dr. Kim is knowledgable and empathetic to both pets AND their owners. We had 2 dogs and both were treated by Dr. Kim. The older dog previously was treated poorly by another animal clinic and Dr. Kim dealt with the transition professionally without criticizing the errors that were previously made and also comforting our worries. The younger dog has had some health issues, but were managed well, so is now in good health. We appreciate both his conventional and holistic approaches and being bilingual (fluent in English and Korean) really helps with our family. His protocols are reasonable, well-explained and with care. He attempts to diagnose root causes rather than over medicating.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kim. A couple years ago, my cat was diagnosed as diabetic and I thought it was a death sentence. But Dr. Kim taught me how to test at home and my cat is THRIVING and living without insulin now. If you think vets are trying to get you to spend the most money possible, Dr. Kim isn't. He understood how scary it was for me and offered alternatives, and now my cat is healthy and perfect. My dog recently had surgery to have four small tumours removed and his team was so gentle with my nervous dog. I trust them implicitly. Their prices are fair, they have the animal's well-being at heart, and they will work with you to give your pet the best care possible within your budget. They are non-judgemental. I highly recommend this animal care team. They are a breath of fresh air and I now travel to see them as I've moved away.

Extremely unprofessional and I would think twice before going here. Doctor (who was not Dr. Kim) kept pressuring my mother that she 'should' pay him $600 to clean our dogs teeth about 12 times in a row (literally, no exaggeration) then hid around the back to hear if she was going to do it or not. Wow - talk about an insanely rude and high-pressure salesman... that was the worst vet experience I've ever had. We will not be coming back here after years of good care from Dr. Kim. Do NOT go here if you don't like high-pressure salespeople.

Over the years I've tried a bunch of different vets, and Dr. Kim and all his staff just exceed expectations! I haven't had the greatest experience with vets (being really pushy with a lot of investigations, barely spending time with us when doing our dog's annual etc.), but everyone at this clinic have been splendid. They are friendly, patient, explain options thoroughly, and reasonably-priced - too bad we didn't find them sooner!

i have been coming here since 2014. i have to say Dr.Kim is the best doctor ever. My cat was injured on news years day...knowing that his office was most likely closed, i gave it a shot and called him to see if he would pick up..and he did and even asked me to bring my cat in immediately. He checked up my cat and gave him a cone With some meds. I got to say i owe Dr Kim a big one! He is attentive and caring..his staff members are also very nice and welcoming! therefore i highly recommend Dr.Kim to anyone looking for a vet!

The doctors and nurses here r just absolutely amazing-all vets r expensive, welcome to owning a furry friend, but I never got the feeling from them that they r out to always ask for a million blood tests and test a million things- so that they aren’t greedy whatsoever. I appreciate that the doctors give a professional opinion and based on his experience, recommend course of actions that are reasonable in price, I can’t and will not know what it is and has limited research and experience on what is actually going on, so I need to be able to completely trust them. I m glad I found this place on my run to Costco across the street and will be grateful to the nurse and the doctors advice and professionalism. My dog comes here for all his annuals checks and teeth cleaning once. I highly recommend this small vet practice.

Extremely unhappy with the vet (Wasn’t Dr. Kim, other doctor, he didn’t even introduce himself so I don’t even know his name). Went there for cherry eye surgery, he told me before surgery that 30-40% chance the cherry eye would come back. I took a chance and paid almost $700 for the surgery. The very next day, cherry eye was back. Kept taking pictures and sent them by email to ask if the eye was ok. Their response was “normal” “expected”. 2weeks after, went back to checkup, the vet said “still cherry eye and I told you 50/50 chance come back”. He said 30-40% come back first of all, and he asked me to do another surgery with 50% off cost, which is still $350. Clearly this vet doesn’t care about dogs, only money, so unprofessional and disgusting. I’m extremely unhappy with them, I will never ever going back there. I had so many dogs in my entire life, I’d never met any vet like him. Terrible place to take your pet.

I’ve been coming to this veterinarian for 5 years now for my Pomeranian for all his vaccinations and other medical needs. Dr. Kim is very nice and genuinely cares for your pet and addresses his concerns and answers any questions you have for him. I highly recommend going to this clinic for your pet medical needs. His prices are also reasonable in terms of the medical services provided at this clinic.

I've been seeing Dr. Kim for years, and have recommended pet owners - new and old - to him. He's straightforward and doesn't try to add unnecessary expenses. I spent almost $4,000 at another clinic on tests and overnight stays, then found Dr. Kim for a second opinion and he was able to assess my little guy was just dehydrated. He has my trust and has not failed us once. He is great at what he does and doesn't try to exploit any of his clients, which many (but not all) vet clinics are notorious for. I only wish his clinic was closer to downtown! :)

Best prices in town (at least for what we went in for). He does not try to upsell and seems to genuinely care about animals. For example, my cat's nose was a bit pink from him always trying to nudge doors and cabinets open, and he said some ointment will help. I thought that was very nice of him to care about such a little thing. I wish I lived in the area because I would love to have him as our vet, but we're moving to the United States. I highly recommend trying this place out.

He was treated quickly with injections and stitches. The bill was more than fair. I honestly can't ask for any more, this is the best vet I have even been to.

I have taken my dog to this vet ever since we took him home. For the first 3 years, Dr. Kim has taken well care of my dog and the service was extremely helpful. Last week, when I took my dog in for the annual vaccination, Dr. Kim was not there, it was another vet. He did not ask any questions about my dog or did any kind of examination(although he charged me for it), he just vaccinated my dog and tried to pressure sell me into different products at their store. I obviously did not give in because of the poor service and the fact that he treated my dog like a mere transaction. When I went home, I noticed that my dog was licking his right leg and I have noticed a bald injured spot. This vet charged me an examination fee of $79 + tax but he could not even spot the injured leg. At the end, I obviously paid way more for the vaccination and bloodwork. My suggestion is this, since they cannot keep up with their mission statement of "we always care for your pets" there is no reason to come back. if you love your pet and don't want them to treat you as a mere transaction, STAY AWAY FROM KIM'S HOSPITAL.

All I can say is, Dr.Kim and his team are amazing. I used to live in North York but I moved a year ago, so now I’m further away from him but I don’t bother looking for a new vet for my dog because I trust Dr.Kim. Dr. Kim cares about my kittens Pebbles and Mars. When Pebbles haven’t eaten for three days, Dr. Kim checked him. He explained well about the outcomes and the steps needed to be done. He gave Pebbles medication and educated me how to take care of him. Over the weekend, I followed the instructions and observed Pebbles, then I contact Dr. Kim. He told me that the things are going well, Pebbles didn’t need an explorer abdominal surgery anymore according to the situation. It’s a big relief since I was worried about all the complications and life quality of Pebbles after this possible surgery. I am really appreciated. Thanks to Dr. Kim and his team.

I am very happy with this clinic, they have always been very kind and patient in explaining everything to me. But I had consulted with them about a problem with my cat’s skin and the previous doctor made it a very long and expensive process. (I'm not talking about Dr. Kim) But right now my cat had urinary problems and I can say that Dr. M. Rekhi saved my cat's life! He immediately requested analysis and he gave us a quick solution! Dr. Kim is always patient with me and answers all of my questions. Staff are friendly as well. My dog went for teeth extractions and cleaning because her molar snapped. I was immediately put on waiting list and got my dog booked not too long after. I really appreciate his and his staff’s help. Although it seems the pandemic has impacted the price a bit, costs remain to be very reasonable compared to other locations.

I brought my cat to him for a consultation after reading positive reviews when two other vets in Scarborough and Markham ordered unnecessary tests and recommended >$1000 surgery for a broken nail. Dr. Kim provided alternative medication and advised that the surgery wasn't necessary. 4 weeks later my cat is back to perfect health

Dr. Kim and his associates are very professional. Dr. Kim is very professional and has excellent bedside manner. I can entrust my pet with him and answer him questions which he is willing to provide a detailed answer. I am giving it 2 stars because after seeing Dr. Mak, I was speechless of his horrible bedside manner. He was very condescending and answered things that with just "it is fine" or "it is normal". I was concerned with my dog coughing, with a small breed, it is prone to tracheal collapse. I told him that she coughs during eating and running. His answer was "that's normal" without any explanation, until I asked further is it an onset of tracheal collapse. He answered with a tone that is not very pleasant. This morning I received the wellness blood test report for my pet. There is one of the blood cells is abnormally high, slightly above the normal range. Instead, he called informing me everything is normal and proceeded to hang up. Before that, I asked him is that elevated level of blood cell indicative of anemia? I just want to know why it is elevated, is there a way to lower it, and secondly does this mean any underlying disease or an onset of disease given it is only slightly above the upper limit. He proceeded to lecture me for 30 seconds of Googling things and do not have any medical knowledge like him, people avoid paying $20 vet consultation (HELLO, I JUST PAID TO VISIT YOU and my pet does checkup twice a year instead of annual ones). These are all uncalled for. 1) being a vet, you should address anything abnormal range is found on the report (such as saying although that blood cell is slightly above the normal range, but given your pet overall condition, it is nothing to be concerned about), 2) instead of giving a one-sentence answer, maybe give people some context WHY it is normal, 3) without knowing people background, do not assume things. Instead of lecturing clients, maybe reflect WHY people need to Google things or finding a second opinion. Provide a better bedside manner, and more context. I understand that this is a very stressful trade given the surge of COVID pets; however, this should not happen at all. This is beyond insulting. Going forward I will not be seeing Dr. Mak.

I took my cat for neuter, the staff and the doctor were very helpful in answering all inquiries. I like their customer service. My cat recovered from surgery the second day. Also, most important part is that they have reasonable prices and they never try to push anyone to buy other services like other clinics I went to in the past. ????

Told me the price would be $18. for a booster if done with in 30 days as an additional exam would not be required (When told this the vet and I had a discussion about if they would remember and was assured they would). I felt pretty good about this vet, and told a lot of my dog walking friends. Went for the booster and oops the price is $76. not $18 and the vet says he never said it would be $18. Sorry I can't go back.

My pets have been seeing Dr. Kim for years now. Dr. Kim is not only an experienced and skilled vet, but he is also incredibly genuine and caring. I have only had positive experiences at this hospital. His treatment plans are centred around the concerns of the pet as well as the owner, his prices are more than fair, and the staff are all very kind. Plus, I have never met a vet who listens and answers any questions or concerns with so much compassion. I am very grateful to have Dr. Kim and his team take care of my pets.

A family friend recommended this vet to us after we were searching for a new vet for my dog. After our visit, I was not only impressed with the service but had an amazing experience with the staff members as well. Dr Kim and his staff are so friendly, attentive and you can tell that they truly care for animals. Now my mom has been recommending this place to all our friends and families!

My dog was under the care of Dr. Kim until earlier this year. My dog had continued diarrhea and they concluded that the cause was due to bacteria (after a $200 fecal sample). He continued to prescribe antibiotics, and when the symptoms continued to return, he did not change the course of action. I ultimately changed vets for a second opinion and transferred over all of the documents. My new vet let us know that the symptoms are highly unlikely due to bacteria (the case count was too low). We also determined that Dr. Kim did not order routine bloodwork which would have indicated that he has other more serious issues. As well, the documents provided by Dr. Kim's office is highly disorganized and difficult to read. This vet is affordable, so I think they are fine for annual vaccines. If there are more serious issues though go elsewhere.

The front staff are always so nice and smiling , in person and over the phone. The doctor is very nice and honest as well and charges are always reasonable.
