I absolutely love this vet!! Everyone at this clinic is delightful and they care so much for the animals. We recently switched to Green Lane Animal Hospital from Willowdale Animal Hospital. The genuine care they had for our cats were unbelievable. My kitty, Tyson, had a terrible ear infection, the veterinarian diagnosed Ty, showed us an image of what was wrong, prescribed ear drop that he thought would work and in one week, the infection cleared up!!! The to top it all off he ensured the costs were fair to the treatment. When we got the bills, I literally got teary eyed. The vet at Willowdale just kept giving us the run around and we would be paying $200 (minimum) per visit for Tyson and his ear wouldn't get any better. We thought it was hopeless and couldn't afford to keep bringing him to the vet. Tyson LOVES having his ear scratched now. THANK YOU GREEN LANE ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!!

Hands down the best clinic I have been to. The staff go everything they can for their clients fur babies, the doctors explain everything to you and will work with you to help your pet without breaking the bank. The staff from reception to techs to ACAs are fantastic, like a well oiled machine and they seem happy and that they truly love what they do. Highly recommend

Love Dr. Tara Sermer who is a true lover for dogs. I bring my dog, Dooloo in for examination and she also checked my foster dog and removed some stitches for her (which were left from previous vet) for free. Honest vet who doesn't overcharge and gives honest recommendations.

Booked an appointment ahead of adopting my kitten (less than 2 mo this old). The first day I got her I noticed she was squinting. Over the next 2 days her condition worsened (increased sleep/no playing, sneezing, eye discharge). I called the hospital to move up my appointment and they said it wasn't dire. They said keeping my appointment 2 days later was fine but to keep them updated if her symptoms got worse. She then started to sneeze blood and I called and they still wouldn't squeeze her in for an appointment. I ended up calling another clinic and they saw her right away. This was the ideal vet for me as it was close to home, but the service level did not meet my expectations as they did not put the health of my kitten first. Would not recommend.

Phoebe, our 12 year old Pointer has been taken care of by Dr. Sermer at Green Lane all her life. Because of her age, every time she gets sick it seems to hit her a little bit harder and most recently it was definitely worrying. Dr. Sermer has always diagnosed problems very well and has given us confidence in the treatments. Never have we felt that our pet was over-diagnosed or that billing was unfair. Like with all vets I wish they’d be more transparent about the costs of procedures up front - I don’t want to have to chase the costs or be surprised - but they’re no worse than any other vet I’ve been to in this regard. All I can say is Awesome! Awesome! The Green Lane Animal Hospital is made up of a professional veterinary team of forward thinking, caring, knowledgeable individuals. I use this vet for my pets and would definitely recommend them to my friends and other individuals with pets. My story: When I brought my 5 year old Maltese/Chihuahua dog in because she had a lump on hind area of her back I was terrified it was something ominous. We were early to our appointment and we were welcomed and acknowledged by the front staff team in a very caring way, while we waited for Dr. Tara Sermer and her team. We were initially assessed by a vet technician then Dr. Sermer. Dr. Sermer was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Sermer explained in layman terms what she thought the problem was and explained how to address it with a plan of action in the event the fatty lump did not resolve or got bigger. Overall I was relieved and was reassured by her assessment of my dog. During this time when Dr. Sermer was assessing my dog she was interactive and calming to my dog in a very kind manner. The office was clean, presentable and appeared to have up to date technology and most importantly treats for my dog which is always the best part of my dogs visit.

My Saint Bernard has been with Greenlane Animal Hospital for the past 6 years. The clinic has phenomenal customer service; the atmosphere is very joyous and I get greeted by multiple people at every visit! The receptionists have excellent phone manners and are very friendly. The veterinarian technicians are truly compassionate about what they do! Dr. Sermer is amazing! She is patient care focused and listens attentively to my concerns. My Saint has a very rare condition and Dr. Sermer worked through it with me to make sure that I was comfortable with the treatment. She always suggests a few options and wants the best for my dog. Dr. Sermer really takes the time to listen and answer any questions that I have. She has a true passion for what she does and I wouldn't trust my girl with anyone else!

very bad experience with us and our dog!!! not sure what they did to my poppy, but when i took him back there the next day they say he is fine and just leave him, and that was a Saturday morning when they said that....well, 2 nights of not sleeping and crying all night and $400.00 of emergency after hour clinic bill and my dog still not completely back to normal....!!!! they did very little or nothing to help him, he still has itchy bum and drag himself soooo harddd on the floor that makes you want to die for him :( bunch of incompetence and inexperience people there doing what im not sure!!! never go back there again!!!!! they damaged my dog :( !!!!!!!!

My Mother and I have been following Dr. Tara Sermer for over 20 years with our pets. There isn't a high enough rating I can give for her and her clinic. The level of care Dr. Sermer has for her patients (and their parents) is genuine. The reception staff (especially Sharon and Sonia!) are helpful and welcoming. The vet techs are knowledgeable and caring, we are delighted that Courtney is there as our "go-to" for everything Poodle related! My beloved 14 year old Siamese is thriving, a huge part of this is the care she has received throughout her life from Dr. Sermer. I trust the advise she gives and the treatments Cosette has needed are adding years on to her life. This is exactly what I want and need for my pets! The flexible clinic hours are an asset, especially for Leaside dwellers like us. . We have never found the prices at Greenlane to be any kind of deterrent for the care that is provided to our pets. Prices increase over the years, my grocery bill certainly reflects that, I understand that my vet bill will as well. We travel over 15km, passing many other vet clinics on the way, to see Dr. Sermer and her staff. Could we spend less at any of these places? Maybe. Are we looking for a bargain with our pets health and well being? Most certainly not! Dr. Sermer is worth her weight in gold, and the staff she brings in to her hospital reflect this. I can't even begin to say how happy I am with Green Lane Animal Hospital. I recently located my 2 cats here as I was not happy at all with their previous clinic. When I went by the clinic last week to discuss moving I had time to observe while a waited. They are just outstanding!! The staff checking you in to the technicians clearly love what they do. Went with our cat for the first time. They were extremely professional and welcoming with thorough COVID precautions in place. They called us to follow up the next day and answered all of my questions so patiently. My cat was happy after the visit. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

The main practitioner told us in other words that our puppy had a form of an anxiety disorder and she would never be "the golden retriever that loved everyone" AS A 3 MONTH OLD PUPPY. She had a negative attitude and made our puppy's first visit more about her "honourable career" and experience and less about the actual puppy. She was extremely judgmental and 100% incorrect about her 30 second observation. Months later after this terrible appointment and our dog is in fact that "lovable golden retriever that everyone loved" proving this doctor doesn't know squat. Never again will I take my animal to this clinic.

So professional, knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. His advice is always sound and answers questions patiently, presents options, and listens attentively to his customers. Just when we were about to leave staff came she's all our he should thought it was cute she brought it into the staff room and then after when she came out she told us that she was gonna squeeze an appointment for us and so we got a quick appointment and it was just really nice of them to give us some time.

I'm writing this review after 3 1/2 years , I will explain why. Our family adopted a beautiful male Russian Blue cat named Bernie from a pet valu adoption clinic. Bernie was approximately 4-6 years old at the time and we were told he had a clean bill of health ,Bernie got his clean bill of health from Green lane animal hospital. We noticed Bernie had bad breath ,not having a male cat before we thought it was normal ,but then noticed he wasn't eating. We took Bernie to our vet and the first thing she did was open his mouth. Bernie had bad gum disease and we were told he's had it for awhile and would have to have his teeth removed, we also had blood work done to see how his over all health was .We went back to Green lane and they said they would remove his teeth, no charge .When Green lane did blood work before Bernies teeth extraction, they told us his kidney levels were to high and he probably wouldn't make it through surgery and asked us if we wanted him euthanized. We were shocked ,we told Green lane we did not want him put down and we would pick him up. Our vet was surprised when we told her that green lane wouldn't do the extraction because of his kidneys. Our vet told us his kidney values were were above normal but didn't think it was life or death. Bernie went on a 24 hour iv for his kidneys and his levels were good enough to have his teeth extracted at two later dates. We just had our big bear put to rest as his kidneys caught up to him. We had 3 1/2 memorable Years with Bernie . It cost us a lot in vet Bill's for Bernie, but we loved him that much. Green lane dropped the ball on Bernie from the get go ,not noticing his teeth and it always left a bad taste in our mouths, just like Bernie had 3 1/2 years ago.

Greenlane animal hospital is not only amazing, they are beyond that! Anytime I have any issue with any of my fur kids they are extremely quick to help and always have my pups interest at heart. I have a passion for adopting dogs with orthopedic issues and couldn't do it without the help of the amazing vets here. They are very kind, gentle and loving, the techs are super! Trustworthy animal hospital! First time having to take my cat in for an acute issue and I highly recommend Green Lane for anyone addressing a cats health concerns for the first time. My cat had bladder stones. I did a bit of research regarding my nearby vets, and Green Lane was the hospital that got him in quickly and took fantastic care of him. They were very clear with me about what he needed and what it would cost. I really felt as though they loved animals and wanted to do the best they could for both animal and owner. Very caring and fair animal hospital. Staff are great! Dr. Sermer was amazing and took great care (and patience)!

Only pretend to care initially then the vet does not return calls period. Has administrative assistants dealing with actual health issues. They do not research the products they recommend to you. At this practice you have to double check the vet. Not the place you want to go if you are interested in serious reliable care.

There is no other place that I will trust with my dog. My dog has been seeing Dr. Cooper for the past few years for dental cleaning and extractions. Dr Cooper has always made recommendations in lucky’s best interest, including salvaging teeth when possible. It’s always scary when your pup goes in for surgery, but the staff at Green Lane has always put my mind to ease by entertaining all of my questions. My dog has multiple chronic issues that require frequent visit to the vet (routine checkup every 6 months at the minimum). I switched from another animal hospital located in Unionville to Green Lane Animal Hospital which I have been a long-time customer 3 years ago and I'm very happy to say that I've make the right choice. The primary reason why I decided to switch was that the previous animal hospital has grown over and they hired a lot of technicians to help out. I found that the vets were always busy and I ended up spending more time discussing my concerns with the technician than getting face time with the vet. In contrast, Dr. Tara Sermer and her staff members genuinely care for the well-being of my dog above anything else, and the cost of the service is actualy cheaper than the previous animal hospital. I like the fact that Dr. Sermer spends time to listen and understand your concerns and will take as much time as required to make sure you understand the situation and procedures involve. She also always tries to find the most cost effective way to treat my dog. Green Lane Animal Hospital truly surpresses my expectations.
