Called Friday night at closing about my sick cat(noticed she looked 'off' when I got home from work), they were super nice and fit me into their already packed schedule the next morning. (I'd called around to every nearby vet and they were the only ones willing to fit me into their already busy day.) Everyone I talked to were super nice and friendly. Dr. Day came out to show me x-rays and gave me her personal email to keep in touch over the long weekend. (Something that most vets don't do) If they hadn't been willing to see my cat, it would've been a trip to emerg at some point over this long weekend, as she would not have made it to Tuesday.

Dr. Day and her team are amazing!!! I have the utmost faith and trust that the whole team cares and loves my 9 year old Riffy (Yorkie Poo) and all the other pets that come in as well. Over the past few years Riffy has had a few mishaps and Dr. Day will stop at nothing until she gets to the bottom of Riffy's illness and makes him well again. All the while reassuring me and my family that Riffy should live to a healthy ripe old age. On another note, the clinic has been transformed to a lovely modern CLEAN place to bring our pets. Dr. Kostiner is my lovely vet and this office is lead by a team of amazing women. I’m so lucky to have found this place as my bengal has been suffering with skin/fur/laceration issues since June 2020. He’s been to the emergency clinic, another veterinarian office and now this vet clinic which I’m so glad I found and planning on staying from now on. Their availability, receptionist team, vet app you can download and ability to order food/meds online is super convenient. They are knowledgeable and the best part is my cat was comfortable enough to even eat food from them the first day he met them which is unheard of. I’m sure I voice a lot of concerns and had tons of question but Dr. Kostiner was so patient, kind, genuine and very caring. Thank you for all that you do!!

Pro: They care about your pets, and they'll take the time to explain things to you (Dr. Lauren Kostiner and Dr Day). I've had a cat have surgery there and they were very comprehensive and clear. The clinic is clean and the staff is always friendly and flexible. The turn over for the vets is pretty frequent however, I've only been bringing my cats there for maybe 1.5-2 years and i've seen one or two vets come and go already - this doesn't mean it's a bad thing. The vets that I saw go, I'm pretty happy they're gone. Con: The clinic is pretty expensive, about 1.5-2x more expensive than most other vet clinics, but they're super close to me and the care they take makes it worth it. Again, they put my cats before money, but they are a business and they do charge quite a bit more than others; still, I'll continue to keep bringing my cats there.

This clinic is only after making MONEY and DO NOT care about the pets!!! I strongly discourage leaving your beloved pets in their care. I definitely regret doing that after my experience with them.

Dr Day has gone above and beyond the call of duty for me when my dog Wicket had her spay. She was truly there for me when I was completely worried, like a parent of a sick/hurting child. She gave me assurance that made me feel like I was her only concern, regardless of the other families that she has under her care! A quality like these, from a medical professional who comes with a personal touch is more than anyone can ask for. Doncaster Animal clinic is outstanding with professionalism and consistent wonderful customer care. In addition, not just for me, my Wicket never feels scared when we come to visit. She wags her tail at the sight of all the staff when we walk in the door! That's HUGE for any pet owner! I had always gone to Doncaster Animal Clinic with every dog I have had in my family. I feel that Dr Day has brought so much to her practice. I wouldn't bring my pet anywhere else, especially now that Doncaster has Dr Danielle Day!

"I have been bring my rescue dog Casey to Dr. Ryder for years and moved with her to Doncaster Animal Clinic when she started there this spring. Casey suffers from bad allergies and arthritis and Dr. Ryder has really helped us with his comfort level. My parents also have a cat named Skittles that they were going to put down because she was peeing around the house but Dr. Ryder figured out that she had diabetes. She really worked with us to figure out a treatment that was simple enough for my parents could handle with minimal effort- Skittle lived an extra 3 years! It seems like the clinic has been going through a transition in the last year with new staff but I have always have a great experience when I go in with Casey. Dr. Ryder is amazing I recommend her to anyone- she never pressures you to do any unnecessary tests and works within your financial constraints."

The best team! Such knowledge and care is put into every experience and patient. My dog is a rescue and fear reactive. The team here is so accommodating to him and always calls to check up on us a few days after our appointments to make sure he is ok. I've never experienced a veterinarian team so dedicated. I have been taking my dogs to Doncaster for many many years now. The care that my dogs get is unlike anywhere else. Dr. Day and her team are kind, caring and incredibly knowledgeable. Dr. Day always takes the time to answer all of my questions and I never feel like she is rushing through our visit. Recently one of my dogs had an accident, and Dr Day literally saved her life. Both of my dogs get excited when they see her and her staff. They are all equally as caring as she is. I can’t recommend Dr Day highly enough. My dogs are important members of our family, and anytime they need care, I can take them to Doncaster being 100% confident that they will not only get the best care possible, but that Dr Day and her staff will go above and beyond to make sure they are happy and comfortable while they are there. GRATEFUL If you’re searching for a Professional & Caring Veterinarian, look no further than Doncaster Animal Clinic. My dog is 11 and after 4 veterinarian clinics we’ve found a SAFE PLACE. Our Maltese poodle Annie was misdiagnosed and passed along due to lack of knowledge of her skin condition. Had it not been for Dr. Day we would have had to wait 5 months to see a specialist, which in turn may have resulted in a negative outcome. After a long search we were finally at ease to have found not only a veterinarian by title, but a caring individual who will stop at nothing to give the utmost care and treatment plan in the best interest of our Maltese poodle Annie. THANK YOU Nick for the referral???????? Before any treatment was administered, a detailed conversation of what her game plan was took place, followed by a phone call to check in on Annie’s present condition and progress. We are ecstatic to report that Annie’s recovery has been AMAZING. We are so pleased and beyond words. THANK YOU to Dr. Day and her team !!!!!

I am so incredibly lucky to have found this clinic! My fur baby was vomiting profusely and coughing up blood when I called to schedule an appointment. They were fully booked but still made time to see me within an hour of my call. I was over a half hour late for my appointment and still couldn’t get my cat into her carrier, the staff were patient, supportive and tried guiding me over the phone to coax her in. When I arrived we were seen almost immediately, even though we were encroaching on another appointment slot. Dr. Day was so compassionate and so kind to my fur baby, and even though she was in pain, my kitty seemed fully at ease during her exam. Dr. Day even made my cat a little fort using a towel so she could rest and was comfortable as we spoke. Dr. Day explained our options patiently and did not make me feel judged when I was concerned about my ability to pay for the recommended treatment. She worked with me to develop a treatment plan that would help my fur baby and meet my budget. Dr. Day explained and prioritized my cat’s treatment needs and provided me with emotional support I’ve never seen in any other vetiranary practice. Dr. Day had even personally brought me water and cookies as I was feeling unwell. After leaving the office I received countless follow up calls as my kitty’s condition continued to deteriorate. Dr. Day and her colleague continued working with us and prescribed the right medications that allowed my cat made a full recovery! I would like to thank all the staff at reception, technicians, and veterinarians who worked tirelessly to get my fur baby back to herself again. I didn’t think she would pull through, but you believed in her and wouldn’t give up hope. Thank you for the many lengthy telephone consults, encouragement and guidance that made her recovery possible. I would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone who wants quality care for their pets and guardians alike :)

After 12yrs and 2 different bad experiences with clinics I finally found this place. Needless to say I was skeptical at first but from the front desk to the Veterinarians this is a really great place to bring your pet. My dog had an operation and the followup was better than I get from my own doctors. This place is comfortable, easy to get to and plenty of parking. The people are great. It really checks all of the boxes. I'm going to bring my other dog too.

Dr.Day and all the staff are Fantastic, I would recommend this clinic in a heartbeat! My Maltese, Dave, had stones removed from his bladder. The surgery done by Dr. Day, went well, Dave is fully recovered! if you can afford it pet insurance, it is the way to go.Thanks again Doncaster Animal Clinic.

I took my puppies to Doncaster Animal Clinic for their first shots/examination and had a great first experience. The staff is super friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I originally was with another vet who unfortunately closed down. The vet who I trusted with two of my dogs highly suggested Doncaster animal clinic. I was hesitant at first but then my beloved dog almost died from an attack and this clinic really did what they could to save her. They are kind, understanding and know the meaning of customer service. They always try and help. I’ve never had any issues with this clinic. I don’t live close by anymore but I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My dog (other one passed a few yrs ago) unfortunately has behavioural issues now and to say it Nicely is high maintenance. They always do why they can to keep her comfortable.

I recently had to put my baby down.. Probably the hardest and most devastating thing I have ever done in my life. My dog was 16 years old and began so show her age from one month or the next. I called different vets around because I didn't like her original vet. As soon as I called here, they were extremely sensitive and super nice towards my feelings (I called crying my eyes out). The girls at the front were extremely nice! They went above and beyond for me as soon as I got there with my dog in my arms... They immediately put us in a room and we filled out paper work there. The doctor.... there are no words to describe how incredibly nice, sweet, understanding she was. She took their time with me, held my dog with such love! Wrapped her in a nice blanket, talked to her and held her with such care. She said such sweet, encouraging things to my husband and I. I had been a mess for days! The thought of me putting down my baby was devastating.. However, she made the entire process for me, my husband and my dog a bearable experience. I couldn't be more thankful for their kind words, encouragement and overall nice gestures this entire vet had with me and my family. P.S. Dr. Day and her staff are the absolute best! I have always had a great experience here and their approach, size of exam clinic and general happy vibe around the clinic is definitely felt! I have visited other vet clinics due to proximity to where I have lived in the past and the experience has been stressful and the small rooms and tense environment made me anxious, and I can only imagine it would have my dogs as well! I noticed the comments about the price and yes it is higher than the average, but if you think about it, won't you want the best care and service for your loved ones ? Do we not sometimes pay a premium for something because we see the value in it? I see it like dishing out extra to fly 'business class' because that's how I feel about my experience at Doncaster Animal Clinic. A BIG thank you to Dr. Day and all the lovely staff at the Clinic for always going the extra mile ❤

Dr. Day goes the extra mile to come off as compassionate and sympathetic (you will fall for it if you don't go around to compare prices) but all she does is play on your heart strings to drain every dollar out of you. She will give you hugs and sad faces as if she cares. Her prices are almost triple that of the vets in the GTA! I brought my cat (with a urinary blockage) to 4 different vets and each one of them quoted $800-$1000, which included 3 days of hospitalization, anesthetics, and the unblocking procedure. Dr. Day quoted me $2500! I asked if there was anything else I could do and she suggested I could humanely put him down. For those who have been sent to Dr. Day because you were once with Dr. C at John Street Animal Hospital....find another vet! Dr. C actually was honest and truly caring. SHE is not! Beware!

Fantastic animal clinic! My poor cat had a little hole in her side, I was freaking out they calmed me down told me everything will be okay and all it took was stitches. They cleaned her up and she was good to go. I was shocked they are very good, kind and friendly. My cat usually hates going to the vets and she had no issues. First time at this vets and highly recommend them. Will def be going back. Great and friendly staff as well as prices are very comparable to other vets in the area.

I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about the staff and services at Doncaster Animal Clinic. I have a special needs dog and originally went to a different vet clinic due to proximity and prior use. My dog is deaf and experiences vision issues. With my prior vet, they would not accommodate his needs and he often left more anxious than not. A friend suggested that I bring him to DAC and I have never looked back since. I drive almost 40 minutes because the care we experience here is beyond anything I've ever received elsewhere. I have taken my dog there for emergencies as well as regular appointments and Dr. Brownell and Dr. Day have been nothing short of amazing working with him. Dr. Brownell is now our preferred vet as she specializes in behaviours with animals and takes her time every visit when my dog is extremely anxious and uncooperative to say the least. She makes me feel like I am not a burden at the clinic which is an experience I felt at my prior vet. DAC and their team welcomed us with open arms and are always the friendliest, welcoming team whether is a regular check up or an emergency. Regardless of the visit, their receptionist always follows up the same or next day with a text message to inquire how things are going. Without a doubt I refer everyone to go to DAC due to the ultimate care we receive. Dr. Brownell along with everyone else go above and beyond each visit !

I would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Danielle Day, Melanie and the rest of incredible veterinarians at the Doncaster Animal Clinic for their care of Nipsey this past week. On January 7th, our little man experienced his first (and hopefully last) seizure. As this was convulsion was unprecedented, we immediately phoned the clinic that had been serving him for the past two years (Nipsey was not a patient at DAC) for help who to our shock, failed to assist us in any way. We then phoned two more animal hospitals who were unhelpful as well. We recognize of course that over the phone, the hands of veterinarians are tied. But given that this was our first time assisting Nipsey through a seizure, it was quite unsettling to be reaching out for help from qualified professionals as to how to ensure that our dog was safe in both the moment during the seizure and afterwards, simply to be told that nothing could be done. By the time that Nipsey regained consciousness, we were incredibly blessed to have gotten in touch with Melanie who not only helped us in every way that she possibly could over the phone, but gave us the opportunity to bring him in to be examined despite how busy the team was at the clinic. The drive to Thornhill was 45 minutes as we live all the way in Mississauga, but it was completely worth it because of how thorough the examination was to ensure Nipsey was in good health (his visit lasted a few hours). With the restrictions set in place due to Covid-19, we were unable to be with Nipsey while he was being examined. This however did not stop the staff from ensuring that we were updated and involved every step of the way. I cannot even begin to stress the quality of care that our dog received while in the hands of the veterinarians at the Doncaster Animal Clinic. The team even went the extra mile to follow up with us the following day to find out how Nipsey was doing and to let us know that we can reach out to them if we have any questions or concerns without any hesitation. Thank you, Doncaster Animal Clinic, for taking the best care of our sweet Nipsey and for supporting us through this experience in every way that you were able to. It goes without saying that you exceeded any expectation that we had and going forward, will be the only medical care professionals that we trust with our pup.

I've been to many vet clinics and have had many examinations. This is the first time that my questions were thoroughly answered. Dr. C was extremely detailed throughout our visit. Half the things I thought I knew, were totally incorrect. Im so glad he was able to provide insight on things that I've been doing wrong (going by what other vets told me). He was gentle and very caring for our puppy. Didn't push us to do unnecessary procedures like my other vet clinics. Very genuine person. We will definitely become long term clients.

Everyone else, including the manager.... is too preoccupied to oversea the staff to ensure they are doing things properly. Great for expired products, Long waits, minimal care and unhappy pets. This vet clinic is half an hour from my house but I will continue to keep coming here with my pets because you simply can't beat the staff at Doncaster. They truly love your animals as if they are their own. They always go the extra step to make sure your pet is healthy, safe and taken care of. I trust them implicitly with my precious fur babies.

I have been taking my dogs there for over 20 years. Dogs of all sizes (Maltese shih tzu - labs - great dane). They have always had the most welcoming and attentive vets, assistants and technicians. They go above and beyond to make sure your pets are being taken care of. Can't say enough good things!!!

Dr Day and all the support staff at DAC are simply amazing!!! I love them all. I have been bringing my lil ones to this Clinic since it opened. Through the years I have dealt with a few different vets and have always been well taken care of. My furbabies are part of my family. So finding a vet that is superb is most important. Dr Day has been taking care of my Maxie for over 11 years and since, have added Rocky and Logan. She is gentle, sympathetic, caring, reassuring, loving and truly wants the best for my kiddies. Although I see Dr Day usually twice a year (for each of my babies) I feel I can talk to her anytime for anything. She is open and honest and wants what is best for my furbabies. If you are looking for a place you can go with confidence, DAC is it. Thank you so much Dr Day and all the girls... YOU ARE ALL FANTASTIC!!!! ( BTW.... all my dogs enjoy going to see everyone at DAC.... That to me speaks volumes)
