I have used the Bayview 7 animal hospital for five years. The staff treat my fur kid like family. Receptionist Sarah is welcoming and friendly. Dr Covant is really careful in treatment and assuring You with diagnosis. This visit a new vet Dr Kalish introduced himself and did her annual check up and vaccinations. He was caring and compassionate and very thorough. I highly recommend the entire facility would not go elsewhere. My canine Zoey goes there for grooming too.

My son’s rat, Rascal, started sneezing on and off, but was otherwise healthy. Then, all of a sudden, on a Saturday night, she was very sick. We gave her some fluids and some yogurt and other liquids things on our finger. She made it through the night but was weak and sneezing blood. Upon researching online, I found Bayview Seven to be open on a Sunday and took her in. Dr. Zeitoun told me they do not typically treat rats, but she would see what she could do, as no clinics that saw rats were open. The staff were all very loving towards Rascal and very supportive. When Dr. Zeitoun saw her, she had clearly taken the time to research how best to help her. She injected her with some antibiotics and fluids and prescribed liquid antibiotics to her. She also printed out information on a supplement to order online for her, to boost her immune system and provide essential nutrients to build up her strength. It was incredible to see Rascal totally bounce back from her respiratory infection and return to her normal self!! I can’t thank Bayview Seven staff for their love and kindness to our family and Rascal!

We took our 2 months old healthy puppies here for vaccines, they charge without explanation and we got advise to buy insurance and do castration and force that if we don't do our puppy gonna get cancer???? Horrible place. My dog was suffering with seizures. I took my dog there they did blood test they didn't even call me to give the result. I called them 3 days later and asked about the blood test result. the vet said the blood test is normal and there is nothing wrong with your dog. my dog still had the seizure her whole body was shaking and I didn't know what it was. a few days later I took my dog to another vet and I told them the story they did blood test and the vet said your dog has seizures and right away they put her on medication. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS PLACE CHARGE U SO MUCH AND TELLING ME YOUR DOG IS FINE AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR DOG

After spending a lot of money, I still didn't know what was wrong with my pet. I had to go to another vet for a second opinion... they told me my pet was fine even though my cat had lost 4 pounds.. Cats are not supposed to loose that much weight.. The other vet talked to me about all other possibilities that could have effected his weight loss and now my cat is back on track.... I am disappointed as these vets charge way too much with not enough exploration

If I could give negative stars I would. Because our families dog was a rescue we had to go to this vet clinic for our puppies neutering. A few days prior we had to go for an exam before the surgery to make sure our dog was healthy enough. They didn't note his weight down correctly, because when we showed up to drop him off the morning of his surgery they said his weight was off by 10lbs. But they quickly corrected it and I brushed it off as human error, things happen. I arrived surgery day at 8:30am signed papers to check him in, gave them our contact number to call us if theres any issues and we were told to pick him up between 3PM-7PM. We arrived at 3:50PM and assumed nothing was wrong since we received no phone call. When I arrive they told me our dog wasn't ready as they had only taken him in for surgery after 12pm. So you're telling me my poor dog was stuck in a kennel under stressful circumstances for almost 4 hours? What was the point of requesting he be dropped off by 8:30am? They said they had some emergencies that bumped him. I asked why I wasn't called to be told this as I drove over an hour to pick him up from home and they said I didn't leave a phone number. I did but they had lost the sheet. The staff began arguing with themselves in front of me, it was so unprofessional. I told them if he needs more time we will wait, but its unacceptable to lose patient info. They said don't worry about it he'll be fine. It was heart breaking hearing them wake him up, he was crying it was awful. It was the worst experience I've ever had with a neutered animal and they did not give him appropriate recovery time. I think he was bumped because he was a rescue and they don't get the full amount of money they normally would from "regular" animals. Shows the lack of care they have for their animal patients. Our dogs sibling was spayed here 2 weeks prior and they had the same experience as we did (They felt awful they didn't tell us before we dropped him off there). The staff were accusatory, rude, argumentative and highly disorganised. At one point they were suggesting the dog wasn't ours and that it belonged to the rescue. (Who are you to even ask that question? STAY IN YOUR LANE) I stayed calm during the whole situation as I just wanted to get the dog home because of how much discomfort he was in and it was over 30degrees outside. I've seen lots of dogs after neutering and this had to be the worst most disturbing experiences I've had. He cried for hours and I totally believe he was brought in for surgery well after 12pm like they had said and his recovery time was more than cut in half. I would not trust them with your furry family member. He cried for hours. HOURS. Our entire family was horrified with how out of it our dog was. With proper recovery time some grogginess is to be expected. But this was another level. Truly heart breaking experience for my family and so glad the rescue decided to cut ties with this animal "hospital". DO NOT GO HERE.

This was our vet for over 11 years. Luke our 11 yr old dachshund was vomiting and just not eating. We took him here and they did a blood test. I came back the next day. DR. WONG told me the blood test only showed a slightly elevated white blood cell count. She recommended a Ultra-Sound $750. We did the test. Later at VEC it showed the blood test had pancreatic levels off the charts. DR WONG either lied to get the $750 or is totally incompetent. Luke died four days later, we miss him so much.

The staff at Bayview Seven cared for my older dog with love and affection, during veterinary visits, while boarding and when it was time to groom. We always appreciated being able to do all three while going out of town for a few days. First rate staff from the vets to the techs. Care decisions were always made after clearly discussing all of our options, costs and the likelihood of success. When it was time to say goodbye to our best friend, they were compassionate, respectful, caring and sensitive to both human and canine needs. Their hard work gave our dog a few extra days to play in the early spring sun, for which we will always be grateful.

We have been their customers for about 5 months and had a few issues with the way they treat you as a client. We never said anything before but tonight they've done it. They have no respect for people's time. I know they close at 8pm on Thursdays so I walked in BEFORE closing time to get a counter medicine for my dog, who has arthritis, and was told that they couldn't sell it because they had already turned off the credit card terminal. I then offered to pay cash so I could get the medice to dog relieve his pain but that was also in vain. It was before closing time and the open sign was still up but I guess they were more concerned about hurrying to go home than take care of someone who drove all the way relying on their punctuality and professionalism. They could've even sold me the medicine and put it in the system the next day. It was a $40 medicine so it wasn't like I was gonna buy a Lamborghini and needed a manager approval!

This is a really good place to take your pet to. I have been searching to find a place that isn't too expensive and that I can trust to leave my kitten at to have spayed, and this is the place. Very caring, kind and professional people work there. Her surgery was well done and she was as active as ever plus no signs of pain or anything on her. Her doctor and surgeon was Amin Sabzevari, and he did a great job. Super trustworthy, all of them! They even have called a few times to ask how my kitten was doing after her surgery!

I was with this vet over 13 years with my two dogs, since Dr Bell and Dr Chark. Ever since these Doctors left, this vet is no longer trustful because all they care is money from their clients. We spent tons of money with our younger dog, and now with his heart problem, he takes a lot of pills, and when refill is needed, their receptions never calls back for pick up, they have bad attitude, and because of that we are trying to move to another vet and bayview seven animal is asking for $25 + tax per pet to have my dogs file transferred from them. I am very disappointed with their service, and i feel sorry for my dogs visiting this vet annually for over 13 years.

I came in because my elderly dog was in pain and the veterinarians there were so knowledgeable and understanding. They really cared for my dog and did all necessary tests. They even checked-in the following day. Some places try to take advantage of pet owners by charging you for anything and everything and this was not the case at all. They really listened and were compassionate. I will definitely recommend this hospital to anyone who needs one.

Dr. Covant is excellent- I've been bringing my dog, Luna, here ever since she was a puppy, and he always does a thorough job and answers my questions without any complaints and complete friendliness. He is in no way a grifter, the way in which some other vets/vet clinics are- when my dog had unexplained diarrhea, he straight up told me he could either write an expensive prescription to deal with it, or we could just drive to Shoppers and get a bottle of Peptol Bismol. He could have easily taken advantage of me, but he chose not to. Highly recommended!

They both take the time to explain things to you. Recently I had to take my cat to another animal hospital because I couldn't get an appointment here and it was a nightmare at the other clinic. I wished just waited to come here the next day. The receptionist here is great. When I told the receptionist my cat had bloodwork done at the other clinic she told me she will call them to find out which lab it was sent to and she will follow up with the blood work results. I did my research looking for good veterinary clinic in my area. Tried 2 of them(based on reviews) not going to name those. service was ok, but something was off. one was trying to max their profit on me(pushing services, not heavily overpriced but still expensive). Another - some crazy appointment dates, mess with veterinarians. This one was third. Like it a lot. Clear who is veterinarian, great atmosphere, attitude, "scheduling" experience, receptionists and technicians are friendly(not creepy friendly), pricing!!!. My cat had heat every two weeks. It was really bad. Veterinarian Amin Sabzevari unlike other veterinarians right away suggested possible reasons for that and I fixed the issue right away (steroid cream I was using cased it). Did there surgery, vaccination, checking. Happy about price, service, communication. I find one thing is too much is making pets pictures, certificates.., but I think some people like it.. And it wasn't annoying or pushy, so I didn't mind at all.

Buyer beware! I have been bringing my pets to Bayview 7 Animal Hospital since 2014. Although there has been a high turn-over in staff which is concerning, in addition to the overpriced vet food (which other vets do not charge as much), I always stayed because of the great care my pets got from the staff and vets. I paid the vet food price in support of a local business dedicated to the care of their furry patients. Over the past five years, I’ve never had an issue with communicating with the staff. Although there have been many new faces, I’ve always been able to communicate my pets needs and health concerns. At my last visit, however, I was charged for a fecal smear for my pets. I was *not* given the plastic tube to bring the feces in. I was charged for this service, under the understanding that I would bring in a sample. I was told by a staff member (which, surprise surprise, they are no longer there) that I would get this amount as a credit on my account. I was in the area this weekend (as I recently moved out of the area) and I was told there is no credit and that the fecal matter was tested, yet there was no follow-up and no proof provided of the test results. As well, the manager mentioned that if someone did not bring in a sample for a pre-paid test, we would be called immediately. This did not happen. My mother called in today, and was told by the office manager that there is no credit and to forward the name of the new vet we will be bringing our pets to. When I called today, I was met with the same hostility. I was cut off constantly and I was unable to explain the situation. I was told that there is no credit and the former staff was not allowed to offer that credit. I was then told that since I lost the tubes, they were a part of a prepaid package and it could no longer be sent out. My mother was told we didn’t use the credit on time so we lost it. This level of inconsistency is shocking. I did not want to switch vets but now I will be since I was told essentially not to come back. I recently rescued a dog, and I planned to bring him in for his routine care here, but that’s no longer happening. I would like what was owed on my account. If you’re looking for a vet, don’t go here. UPDATE: I was called back from the office manager saying I could now bring in the fecal matter for testing, but earlier they said that they wouldn’t do the testing because it’s been too long and the credit expired, in addition to the plastic tubes being lost and a part of the prepaid package and if they were lost they couldn’t send it out? Keep your stories straight.

My pet was there for a few years until an incident happened that changed our mind to go there again. As a matter of fact, there were two incidents that caused by the back end technician and staff. One of them is still working there at this point. My point is that the vet could give you the impression that you are in good hands. But, he can't do everything for your pet. He needs to delegate the work to the people in the back. Those are the ones that make a difference. To be fair, the owner/chief vet is likely very masterful with surgeries and diagnosis. Please be very attentive to the pet and how he/she reacts after you go home. Viewers can dismiss my claims or think what happened to my pet was just unfortunate. I was thinking of leaving the clinic after the last incident. What really accelerated that was the sudden turnover rates of staff and other associate doctors. Up to now, I have occasionally checked their "team" and found new faces almost every six months. The turnover rate was not like that when I was first referred to the clinic by my neighbor many years ago. What I want to point out is there could be something fundamentally changed in the clinic. Like every business, the turnover rates reflect something about the company. As a pet parent, you want to make sure that your pet gets the best attention as much as possible and is not subject to any unnecessary pain or suffering because of lack of skills or worse a cover up of a mistake. Therefore, I advise you to be very careful and don't simply trust the friendly and warm reception of the doctor. I know he has very good bedside manner but you need to account for everything else that goes on there.

Honestly, it's a good place, if they have no one. But they rushed us out on a appointment we made with the time they gave us. We were not late, our dog was really sick and we just needed tests to be done.. They told us the tests were not ready for us, well sadly our dog can't wait till you are ready. Very disappointed and unreliable, if you can go to another one, please do, it could get u a better opinion and vets that take the time for your dog.

I have been using this vet clinic for several years now for our 14 year old dog. While the care has been good, I feel there has been pressure to have blood tests and products added that were unnecessary. I agreed to have my dogs teeth cleaned under sedation. The vet called me to explain how the procedure went and the progress. She stated no extractions were required and that 2 canine incisors had come out cause they were loose. My bill still had 36.00 dollars for extractions, denials by the clinic manager, and excuses made not to allow direct communication with the vet. The communication regarding the medication was also poor. Doctor's orders stated 10 days of antibiotic treatment. Yet verbally I was told our dog had already received 5 days of antibiotic treatment, but was now receiving a medication for diahrea with only one dose left in the container. Not discussed at the time of discharge. Not documented on discharge paperwork. I called the manager to determine the time of the last dose as doses must be given 12 hours apart. Sorry but this is not acceptable practice. Time of next dose should have been clearly indicated on paperwork and length of medication treatment, ( five days) communicated by vet techs. I am truly disappointed.

Please take the 2 minutes it will take to read this. Your pet is worth it! Wish i could give it 0 stars. I went here for years with two previous pets. I started noticing that vet Howard Covant never knew what was wrong and would do test after test "trying" to find out what the problem was. As it turned out, all he was trying to do was find out how deep my wallet was. Ultimately(after a final appointment at Baview/7), I had to take one of my beloved cats to the Toronto Emergency Vet Clinc, after Howard Covant told me to, because, he again didn't know what was wrong. Turns out that 5 MINUTES after arriving at the Emergency Clinic, the new vets knew that my cat was terminally ill and suffering, and needed to be put down. The vets there (yes VETS, meaning several of them) collectively told me they had no idea what Howard was doing or why he was running the tests that he was running other than milking money from me. They also didn't understand why I had been sent to them and they noted all of this in the chart. So after all the tests and thousands of dollars in costs, Howard Covant basically sent me to have my suffering little cat put down (without telling me that's what I'd be doing) and placing me in the position of having to deal with the surprise grief, with complete strangers. To be clear, the vets at the Toronto Emergency Clinic were great and I'm still thankful for their professionalism and kindness. However, I still remember that long drive home with my newly vacant cat carrier. Now, most of the vets at Baview Seven Animal Hospital are probably good, dedicated animal practitioners. However, my experience is that Howard Covant should be avoided. Remember, ultimately those pets you love, regardless of what they are, depend on you for everything as their owners - especially love and care. This was our first visit to the vet with our lovely cat Mischief (Mitzi). We were so lucky to be seen by Dr. Covant who is a dedicated professional and takes great care of all the pets. He took his time to explain everything we asked and gave us alternative solutions to save our money. All the staff was friendly, the office was clean and quiet, the location close to our home. My puppy has been visiting this clinic since he was 2 months old and during every visit he is spoiled with lots of love and treats by all! He was neutered today and we were very nervous about the surgery but Lucy was a wonderful help and guided us through the entire process. She was very diligent in explaining what we should expect and she was also very open to answering any questions we had and took her time and did it all with a smile. Lucy really made us feel comfortable about leaving our puppy in her care and she was available to take our call several times and sent our pictures to make the process easier for us!
