Dr Jim is an upbeat, friendly, quirky but allstar professional and he's been my vet for the past 12 years. It's obvious that he loves his job, and his passion hasn't since waivered in the time I've been going to him. Front office staff is friendly. Prices on medications and services are fair, although the dog food they sell is above average cost, especially if it is specialty. Highly recommend this vet hospital to anyone looking for a low-stress, low traffic vet who only prescribes what it absolute medically needed with no fluff.

Used this hospital for our two cats since moving to LaSalle 7 years ago. It has been a few years since we were last there but our cats have been perfectly healthy. Now, before we move we called to arrange for medicine and it seems they no longer care for our business and since it has been over a year since last we visited, we have to find another vet. They’ve been taking care of our miniature dachshunds since we first brought them home, and they take such great care of the pups, and of us. They always make time for us when we need them, are courteous and comforting on the phone, and Dr. Jim takes as long as he needs to with the pups in order to come to the right diagnosis and treatment plan. They never make us feel like we’re overreacting when we bring our concerns to them, they listen fully to our concerns and help us find the best recourse. I really liked this vet.. for almost 20 years. However since my dog didn't have any medical issues that required a vet for over a year - we we're told that he was considered a "new patient" and would not be seen since the clinic was not taking "new patients". Pretty nice way to treat your loyal customers who have brought 5 different pets to you exclusively for decades - I guess my 9 year old dog who has been seeing Dr. Jim since he was born will now have to find somewhere else to go. Real nice.

Dr. McCorquodale has been my vet for 17 years and I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff! We have a 12 year old diabetic cat who goes in at least once a month (sometimes 2 or 3 times) and they always take excellent care of him. It is obvious that they all love animals and I am happy to have them take care of our pets. Dr. McCorquodale even ended the suffering of our little hamster who was having trouble breathing at no cost. They are all very caring and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a caring team for their pets. :)

This guy is a quack. Gave our dog dewormer a week after she already had it. When she became sick we took her back there and what does he do, gives her more dewormer. If you love your pet find and vet.

Dr. Jim and his team saved my dog's life. She was a puppy at the time that a large dog attacked her. They put her back together and she is now about to turn 9. His team is very caring and passionate about their work and will do everything they can to make your pet healthy and happy. Koji has been going through a lot with his health for the past few years and they treat him as if he was their own dog. They show compassion, share knowledge and advice and always have his best interests at heart. I would like to give a special shout out to, Zack. He, aside from Dr. Jim is the only one who I trust with my dog. I am a crazy fur mama with lots of questions and concerns and I know that I can be a bit much lol but Zack is always patient with me, reassures me, gives koji extra love and even calls us at home just to check in on him. He is amazing! Thank you Zack for taking such great care of my fur baby! I highly recommend Dr. Jim and his Veterinarian Office. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

This vet booted us from their service because we haven't brought our cat in within the year. We called yesterday to book an appointment for our cat's vaccinations and to have him checked out for a concern and they told us they couldn't help us anymore. The most frustrating part of all of this is that we buy prescription cat food from them every two weeks, spending a small fortune every month. They told us when we starting buying it that we had to buy from a vet that has seen our cat recently. They didn't stop us from buying from them, nor did they remind us we were due for vaccinations any of the many times I've called them. We communicated with them multiple times every month. I understand that COVID has made things complicated for many businesses, but using this as an excuse is unreasonable and unfair in this case. They lost yet another (as I'm reading other reviews) lifelong customer.

Dr. McCorquodale is an excellent vet. He really takes the time to look at your pet, listen to you, and thoroughly explain things. He is very knowledgable but above all he handles your pet with great care. The staff is equally as awesome. They're always warm and welcoming and very accommodating. The clinic is always clean; "accidents" are mopped up quickly. I would recommend Malden Road Vet to anyone; they are honest and dependable and I know my dogs are in great hands.

Unfortunately they only care about money and not the well being of pets. They would not take our second cat (first cat is patient) for an EMERGENCY because she wasn’t a patient, wanted to make an appointment two weeks out. Also, my friend’s cat IS a patient and had an emergency after 7 years of being perfectly healthy and she was told that 7 years is too long and she’d have to become a new patient, two week appointment delay again. Lots of other more caring veterinarians in the area that are more willing to help our loving pets.

The staff took great care to help me thru the decision of putting my cat down via phone calls while I sat in my car in the parking lot. They set up a "safe room" so that I could hold my kitty as he crossed over. Dr. Mc Corquodale and his staff are very friendly. They take the time to explain clearly, what is going on with your pet, and what, if anything, can be done to heal your pet. I highly recommend Malden Road Veterinary Hospital.

Been going to dr Jim for many years. He has a genuine love for animals and that it quite apparent! When someone loves there job the welfare of the animals comes way before their pocket book! Who ever wrote that last one ( anonymous )first cant spell and is a coward and clearly is a dunce cap! He will do tests in the appropriate manner or protocol as to find the correct diagnosis.. Dr Jim will always do the best option for your animal! He will never gouge your wallet. His clinic and staff are very professional and kind. I would recommend him to everyone! We brought in our beloved dog to have him put down. Our appointment was for 4 o’clock , but when we arrived they told us they were running late . They left us to wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes .They returned 10 minutes later to bring in our dog . After another 10minutes , they came to bring us in.. They led us to another entrance where we see our dog on the floor ,sedated with a blanket covering him. We were devastated to see him there on the floor. That was not the way the procedure was explained to us. Terrible experience, very unprofessional. Would never recommend this clinic to anyone .

Took my rabbit here to have a lump looked at. The vet was knowledgeable, friendly and fast with the exam. Exam fee was reasonable and they didn't push me to pay more for a biopsy. If the rabbit does end up needing the surgery, I will be bringing her here for it.

Dr Jim (and anyone he has had cover for him) is great with my pets, connects with them personally and establishes a great connection with us pet parents. He is extremely knowledgeable, never encourages us to do anything we dont need to, and makes sure we understand the pros and cons of anything we are interested in or he thinks they might need. He goes over so many details and I'm always very happy with the service my pets receive. They have been our go to for regular checkups/vaccines/flea treatment since 2013, provided an affordable emergency hysterectomy for my female with pyometra, and took a growth off my cats toe without taking the nail or leaving him with any debilitating scarring.

The care since Covid19 has gone downhill CONSIDERABLY. The front desk staff when answering calls/concerns are VERY rude, like you're wasting their time and they don't put your pet's needs first. I took my cats to another vet a couple years ago to try and Malden is now refusing to see my sick cat because of that, saying they're not taking new patients. She has been a patient since she was a baby. They also made a comment not liking that I took her to the after-hours emergency vet. She was very sick and it was late at night when Malden wasn't open. My other cat who was almost 17 yrs old when she passed away was also a patient at Malden for many years and I have spent a lot of $ there. Most times when I've brought my cats to Malden I end up spending alot of $ but never get a definitive answer of what is wrong. Your pet will not be placed first.

Dr. Jim and his staff are amazing I have never met a dog who doesnt LOVE Sierra she and her fellow Nurses leave your pets feeling the Love they make it easier to leave you pets with them knowing when you return they are going to have been loved and snuggled and cared for as if they were one of their own. Not to mention Jim is a TOP NOTCH Vet who I have yet to be able to stump and I have brought him some doozies lol. He is a brilliant Vet who genuinely cares for each animal he treats.
