You have the feddbacks of people who are purchasing the products and services of Lauzon Veterinary Hospital (Veterinarian) around Windsor area (Canada).
At the present this business gets a rating of 3.9 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is really positive, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Veterinarian.
Dr Reiss is excellent!
All of the staff are professional and compassionate. The 24 hour schedule is very welcome, and the prices are reasonable.
Was decent but staff could've been a bit more compassionate...
Very good place, just a bit pricey... But, they treat you well.
Took my dog there he couldn't walk on his front leg so for 600$ they wrapped his foot with a tensor bandage and a few pills ,didn't help the dog still messed up foot and when the vet came to get him he was pulling him like dragging him I had to actually say to him he can't walk do t pull him like that.so I would never take my animal there.
Very unprofessional. I checked in 5 minutes before my appointment, no one came to get my animal for over 30 minutes. This has happened every appointment I've had with them. Find a better vet, literally anyone is better.
Outstanding service, both in quality and speed. But be prepared to pay high rate for their service. Also they have the best groomer in the city.
Very caring
Honest about what procedures are necessary and what ones can wait, mitigates stress and the finances. The vet here is awesome and directly communicates to you as well. My cat had a bad reaction to a vaccination from her regular vet and I ended up bringing her to Lauzon very early. She was seen and taken care in under 30 minutes. The techs were so patient and understanding from me calling them throughout the night with questions as well.
Helpful and caring. Open 24/7 walk ins welcomed.
Very caring professional service
Great customer service and low prices
Dr.Malovec is the best Doctor on this planet! His superb knowledge, care, compassion and dedication towards improving the lives of all living creatures is beyond excellence!! I am forever grateful and a true die hard client. Keep up the great work Dr. Malovec ! This world is a much better place just because of YOU! Thank you for your loving care.❤
yup...owner raised all prices....and now they seem like they don't care about their customers. Was a 20 year customer there, and I'll be bringing my pet elsewhere.
Thank you to Dr Reiss and staff for taking exceptional care of my dog Caesar. A surgical procedure was completed to assist him in retaining his mobility. A large mass was removed which was impeding him from walking . We are very thankful to all staff and Dr. Reiss for their kindness , compassion over the years for all of our animals. I would highly recommend Lauzon Veterinary hospital to anyone !!
Dog food is good!
Very nice staff.
Dr Branton is sooooo beyond amazing and caring!
Things have obviously been very different due to the Corona virus, but I don't like to just let a technician take my dog inside, I prefer to stay with him, to be there for my dog if he needs me. Even though I made an appointment time, and I got there a few minutes early, they only came out to get him like half an hour later than my appointment time. Then I had to stay in my (hot!) car and had to wait for him whilst he was inside for over an hour! Aldo, my dog has a huge lump on his behind from the injections they had given him and he seems to be in a lot of pain today (the day after).
Really wonderful staff!
ONLY REQUEST DR DRAGON. I’ve used lauzon vet hospital for many many years and only ever trust Dr Dragon for various reasons and past histories. Other vets at this location never seem sure of what the situation is, rush your appointments , or skip straight to a thousand dollar surgery or amputation. This has happened unfortunately on more than one occasion. Only reason for a 3 star is because Dr Dragon was phenomenal with my dog. A previous vet at this location wanted to amputate my dogs leg for $2000+... on another visit the next day with Dr Dragon, he applied an antibiotic to my dog leg and my dog was perfect in ONE week. Imagine if I went through with the first option. Always always get a second opinion!
Helped my mother and I through a very tough situation (euthanized my mom's dog). Very kind receptionist and veterinarian. Definitely recommend, even though we'd rather never do this again...
Awesome staff and the best groomer in Windsor paws down!
Wonderful, knowledgeable staff. Compassionate and sympathetic to all needs.
Great service they took care of us
Thank you to Dr Paul and ALL the staff. Are friendly, informative and will answer ALL your questions. Thank you to Emily and the male tech, (sorry I forgot your name), that was working with her today. Although we couldn't go in with our 2-9 week old Rottweiler puppies. We were comfortable letting the techs take care of them. I knew they were safe and being cared for. We have been with Lauzon for at least 25 years.
Found an injured baby duck, it broke my heart. I brought him in to the Lauzon Vet Hospital and they took him in immediately. So nice!!
Hate this place. Bad communication, very little compassion. Never going back. It's all about the $$$ for that clinic.
Loving and caring people run this place. The Vets are fantastic.
Helped save my kittens lives.
The groomer here is amazing. So kind and has years of experience. I’ll definitely be coming to groom my shihtzu here again.
Delightful
Absolutely outstanding emergency service! Dr Malovec and Dr Branton worked extremely fast taking my dog to surgery when he needed it in an absolute emergency last week. We could not be happier with their service and their care towards our boy. Thank you Sooooo much! We had never been to this hospital before and they took us in without hesitation.
Friendly service
Polite and helpful. Clean facility. Little wait.
We went here with out very sick little chihuahua at about 3am. I've had bad experiences with the other 24 hour veterinary so we decided to take the longer drive here. Absolutely worth it! The staff was very caring with her made sure she didn't cry, if she did they talked to her how I would have. They gave us a range of options as to what they could do to help her as far as price and if we wanted to leave her there or bring her to our regular vet in the morning.
Dr Boris saved our girl a few weeks ago with emergency surgery. He's a very kind man and skilled surgeon. Everyone there was so compassionate. And they were happy to see her (with her tail wagging) for our follow up visits. You have a great team there! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
As an animal owner who considers my pet a part of the family, I was very pleased with the care my cat received at Lauzon. She ate a cleanser out of my bathroom sink and became really sick. Lauzon's after hours staff brought her right into a room to access the situation. Everyone was calm and quick treat her. I had to leave her there for a couple of days and the daytime staff was just as great! Not only was I happy to find out that their fees were the same night or day, I was thrilled that my cat made a full recovery. I would recommend them 100%!
They made us wait over an hour and a half in the parking lot for a scheduled blood check that was supposed to be taken exactly six hours after her meal. Our dog was so stressed and obviously after an hour and a half wait the tests would have been useless. Today I called because my dog was having a seizure and they had me on hold for 20 minutes, I used my cell to find another vet while I was waiting. I am done with Lauzon Veterinary hospital...no care here
They were quite busy but still got my dog in within an hour of the appt time. Great place to take your pet.
Very organized. Very compassionate as they had to put our sweet dog down. Thank you for helping us at this difficult time
Although I can't believe my sweet Kitty is gone, this team made the transition smooth and compassionate????????⬛???????? thank you!
All of my furry friends receive excellentcare and treatment from truly compassionate veterinarians and staff.
Blows my mind that anyone even goes here.
It was a sad day for me, having to say goodbye to a beloved furbaby who was around 10 yrs old. But even with the storm that knocked the hydro out for about 10 min. everyone was calm, checking in with cell phone flashlights and making sure we were all ok. They were lovely and truly sympathetic in making Ethel's final journey as painless and as caring as they could. I was very impressed, and grateful to all the staff who cared enough to inquire and allow me to share my knowledge of my beloved Degu.
Absolutely the best place for any type of care for your pet.
They all truly care for all the fur babies! 24 hour care and very fair prices.
Great vet. Good prices
The vets there are very good at there job. My dogs had surgery there twice and they did an excellent job both times. I trust them .. I don't care what it costs..
Friendly staff
The doctors and nurses are great
They were very helpful.
Dr Reis is the best. 24 hour Vets.
Amazing staff and open 24/7 and works with wings. The doctors were great and staff too, bloodwork on-site. Food available for purchase and other items for sale. Honestly it's quite overpriced they said for having a dog just to get blood work and urine test and a few sedation's was $500 if we wanted to have her overnight it was a thousand, save your money and go to Walker Road Animal Hospital they are 24 hours as well and much more affordable our doggo got her medicine through IV and watch for 6 hours as well as the examination fee and medicine for the next few weeks was all under $300 on Walker Road. There is no payment plan options so in an emergency you are looking at a 400-1000$ bill right away.
Amazing staff.
My girlfriend brought our cat in to this place because he was sick. Long story short we waited almost 4 hours. The vet gave us a few pills that I was told were antibiotics and they ending up being muscle relaxers. Gave them to my cat following the instructions on the bottle. Needless to say my cat was on the verge of overdosing from muscle relaxers because they screwed up on the meds. They almost killed my sick cat. After trying to call they stopped answering my calls. I will be looking into legal options because this is absolutely unacceptable. DON'T BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!
Lauzon Clinic's first and ONLY priority is making as much revenue as they can. Policies surrounding ROUTINE prescription refills vary per doctor: this not only signifies inconsistent medical treatment, but stands as an obvious ploy to charge per visit, whenever and wherever possible. If you want a personal touch from your vet, stay away. Lauzon veterinary let our family down multiple times, having to pay hundreds of dollars for rudimentary veterinary help, yet failing to compensate this with professional service.
I took my dog there to be checked by the vet and then the admin staff came out with the bill that I have to pay $435 for check up and medication. Just like that and without informing me in advance! Not to mention that regardless of your appointment time you need to wait with your pet for another hour in the heat or the cold.
I had to take our dog in on a Sunday. He was very ill. Dr. Branton took him on and I cannot say enough about this man. He truly has a passion for what he does and cares about the animals. I felt like I was in good hands from the moment I met him and I truly was in good hands. There were no questions left unanswered, his follow up was amazing. My only wish is that he could be my vet moving forward but the hospital is quite far from where we live. Thank you, Dr. Branton. I can't say it enough.
Absolutely love the staff, Dr. Reiss, and Dr. Malovec. They have always taken such good care of all my girls, especially Bellina and Jojo.
They take good care of my Bengal cat.
Alright.... this place has very nice receptionists BUT horrible doctors AND ITS DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY THERE WAS BLOOD ALL OVER THE FLOOR WHEN WE WENT IN FROM ANOTHER DOGS NAILS I COULDNT BELIEVE IT (i forgot to take pictures because my dog was getting restless from them being unorganized).. We have only received 1 good doctor out of the 3-4 times going with our puppy who is a boxer/ pitbull mix.. He is 1 year old and has been going here since we got him BUT I will be making the change ASAP because of our experience today with Dr. P Branton (the older larger white male). He made myself, my boyfriend, and dog highly uncomfortable because he was terrified of our big puppy.. I am sorry but you should not allow people who are afraid of big dogs to practice on animals.. I feel my dog did not get a thorough examination today because he was so highly afraid of him for no reason making us put our dog in a head lock and such.. We basically did ALL the work other than giving him the needle for the allergy... I( am pissed that we paid $159.95 for a VERY VERY UNORGANIZED Vet who was scared to even let our dog SMELL HIM!! I do not feel comfortable bringing him back here as he wants our dog to be sedated to look at his eyes because HE is AFRAID to get close.. WILL not be getting my dog neutered here as the Doctor is afraid of him (wouldn't even fully come into the room until we told him its okay??) Why practice on dogs if you are afraid? HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANOTHER VET!! More money wasted on yet another unorganized visit..
Great service..
Do not waste your time and money. Afternoon "Vet" is uneducated. My question was simple on why my 1 year dog has not started her heat cycle yet. And he said he doesn't know and he said he is not familiar with my dog's breed! What kind of vet are you?!! 2 days later my dog started her heat naturally!. Not recommended as vet has no knowledge about pets plus his lack of English words makes so hard to understand what he is trying to express. Too bad I wasted $100 for nothing.
They always take great care of my dogs. I appreciate the 24 hr availability.
I brought my cat in to get surgery and the surgery was done great and he was well taken care of, however, it was very difficult for me to get someone to come out and go over the risks with me. Whenever I had questions I would get different answers from a bunch of people working there and didn’t know which to follow. When I picked my cat up he was covered in urine, which was very disappointing. A lot of the people on reception were unhelpful, but Delilah was very pleasant and great to speak to.
By
I would give Dr Gord Reiss zero stars if I could.....very unprofessional, upon questioning him regarding charges on a quote for surgery, he states "do not question my work, this is what is costs to get the job done, if I hire a plumber I would not question his work" ???????????????????? I guess I have no right to question what I am paying for.....terrible manners, he also said we were lucky it was not any other Vet, that they would have charged more, extremely unprofessional
There in it for the money, not the animals.
Saved my baby's life
I brought my sick cat in and the vet was the most unprofessional vet Ive met. Came in singing and did not introduce himself. Basically refused to answer any basic questions unless we ordered tests and labs from him. Came off as completely arrogant and disrespectful. We ended up going home and took out cat to Walker Rd animal hospital where we were treated with kindness and compassion. Avoid Lauzon Vet at all costs!!
I dropped my dog off for boarding for two nights. I was told she would need an exam and a vaccination. Seeing as I paid $80 for the exam, I expected a full exam, and was happy to pay the fee. I picked my dog up and brought her home to find she has a huge, severe ear infection, one that NO ONE mentioned to me. I called the vet office and asked for the notes the vet had taken during the exam. The only thing he had written down was her temperature. Also, I put a down payment for boarding, like they ask at the beginning of her stay, and when I went to pick her up, they tried to charge me the entire fee all over again, disregarding the $150 I had already paid. The receptionist are polite and kind, but the service is completely disappointing. My dog will definitely not be returning.
They got the job done but was very expensive.
Thank you so much for all of your help, care and advice tonight. I didn't even get the Dr's name but he was very kind and easy to talk to. Great experience. Thank you again and Natasha thanks you too!
Love the special treatment we receive.
Wonderful staff and a great environment for my dog!!
Alway had good experiences when I brought my kitt there.
Dr. Gord is the best!! They are all so kind and helpful. Everyone in there is friendly and so loving . I love this place and would never take my pets anywhere else!!
Receptionist was cold and brusque. Despite advertising 24-hour emergency service, they all seemed very annoyed that I wanted to come in at 6:00 in the evening. The vet kept arguing with me as he examined my pet. I was trying to explain that my pet was exhibiting unusual behaviour, but he kept telling me that it was normal compared to other animals he's seen. I know what "normal" is for my pet that I've had over 15 years, but the vet just kept arguing with me and telling me that I was imagining things. He was very clinical and rude. Then he presented me with a breakdown of how much everything was going to cost that was way more expensive than other vets in the same neighbourhood. I will definitely not go back.
Great staff great vet
Great staff. They are organized and they give you the prices up front. But please give itemized and ONLY itemized bills/receipts from NOW on. The doctor had a bad attitude at times on the phone with me, because I am not a layperson and because I knew what was going on with my son. So, that was NOT appreciated AT ALL!!! That NEEDS to change. That being said the prices are high (too high) but I appreciate that they called to check up on him and sent me a card. They seemed to care about my baby. There is no price on that. Just, doctor please be nicer with parents on the phone, parents who know what is happening and just want to participate in their child's medical care! ????????♀️????????????
The grooming I always come back for due to how comfortable the groomer makes my dog. But I've been to other doctors and this one is way overpriced without offering any payment plans
Incredible service. My 5 month puppy was constantly scratching her ears & shaking her head, called this office & was able to get her in within a few hours opposed to weeks at local shops. Found out she has an ear infection & was given drops to help with her infection. Was very fast, about hour and half in total. Very detailed on what was going on with her & her medication. I’d give 5 stars however would like to see if this stuff works before I give the full 5. Amazing people to work with!
After a horrible experience at Walker Rd Animal Hospital we brought our cat in in the middle of the night and they gave her excellent care. The vet was honest about the fact that the extra tests were expensive and said if it were his cat he would bring her home for observation first rather than pay hundreds of dollars for additional tests. The assistant was kind and clearly loves animals.
I had to do what most pet owners have to do sometime, say goodbye to the best little friend a man can have. They treated me and my dog with the most respect possible during the most difficult day of my life. I would highly recommend Lauzon Vet.
Can’t take care the bird. Only do dogs and cats
they are good but so dame expensive but what vet isn't?
Not bad, 1 insensitivity dr. though
Okay story time, so I had to take my dog here because her normal Veterinary office was close and I had no choice to take my dog here, but the veterinary technicals are nice but the doctor wanted $684.94. Okay 1 I don't that kind of money, 2 my veterinary would have never charge that kind of money. And this why I'm rate them at a 1 star. And when people come to you for hope! DO NOT BE A HOLES!
Bad doc
Saved my dog's life Major surgery, great follow up, manageable cost!!! Thank you very much Dr. Reese????
Ask for Dr. Malovec—you will not be disappointed. My cat, Mrak, had a slim chance to live (kidney failure, ruptured bladder) and, despite the odds, the doctor did everything he could to give him a chance. He kept me informed at every step of the process and communicated information clearly. He also stated the facts—he didn’t instill false hope. Mrak has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but he’s alive and at home with me thanks to Dr. Malovec.
Like most Vets, they do their best for all of us animal lovers. But one specific surgeon at Lauzon Rd. went above way his call. This outstanding gentleman took matters into his own hands, by way of taking our ailing family member, examining and did what no other vet. in this city was willing to do! he preformed emergency surgery.without question.this hero of mine asked nothing of cash nor did he until our little big guy was back home resting comfortably. This fantastic doc not only did what was needed, he preformed an extra procedure at no cost, after all was said and done, the final tally was half of any other vet in this city!!!!! This veterinary hospital is the very best, bar none that this city has ever had.
Terrible place. The only good thing is the vet tech named Kate that helped us through a terrible situation.
Very good service and very professional doctors up their great job
Good qualified staff
Excellent staff & service! They took our baby in right away! After the Doctor assessed her he came out and explained everything to me. He gave me the options, I told him I was working with much and he helped me fined the most basic financial solution while still assuring me she was ok
Wonderful and caring staff
Had to take my cat in for an emergency this evening and we had such a great experience. We were warned that there would be a wait when we called prior to going, but in total we were only there for about an hour and a half, which really isn’t bad! The vet that we saw was thorough and really listened to what we had to say. He answered all of our questions and did not run any unnecessary tests. The other workers present were polite and helpful, and their system of having us wait in the car was efficient and safe! Overall, I would definitely recommend going here and I will make this my go-to place for all of my cat’s medical needs.
My puppy got stung by a bee on his back paw and was really lethargic/dehydrated. We were out for a walk and he stepped on it. I had to flick the bee off. It swelled up really bad. The vet tried to tell me that he fractured his foot and that I was going to need an x-ray. He claimed that bee stings don’t cause feet to swell up like that. I felt like I was being taken advantage of and they were trying to get more money out of me. The ladies at the front desk were wonderful, empathetic and brought my pup out some water. Aside from that, I’ll be going to a different vet from now on.
More concerned if I had the money to care for my dog
The drs are caring. The staff love the animals and are extremely helpful. Recommend them highly
Very good grooming service friendly staff.
I found their prices above average relative to other vets.
We had an emergency with our cat who had a distended bladder and was unable to pee and in huge amounts of pain. Dr. Malovec and team did an absolutely wonderful job of taking care of our li'l furball for a week and regularly kept us updated and even called us in to show us scans and progress. While the initial diagnosis was not good, they went above and beyond to help our cat in every way they could. We're happy to say our cat is back home and doing well so far. Can't thank the staff here enough for all their help and support.
Terrible place all they want is your money and will charge you for unnecessary procedures and drugs for your pet, while putting them at risk with no regard for your pets health or safety at all. They just want all your money avoid this place like the plaque.
Treat your animals well and very thorough in their attempts to get to the root of the problem.
Fantastic location
The guy at the check-in desk/reception seems to have little experience with customer service. Very little communication and lack of customer/pet care. The vet that was working was pretty good overall.
Great vet and people who care
Great place to take your fur babies
This animal hospital has cared for all of our dogs since they opened. I have never had a complaint with their services. In difficult times they were supportive and handled the euthanasia of a couple if our dogs with an enormous amount if caring and respect and treated them with dignity.
Called with a question. They answered with a little more information which was great. I am a regular customer and they are fantastic to deal with. Recommend them to any animal lover!
If I could give this no stars I would. I have a 2lbs 11 week old kitten who's very petite. The second the doctor took her out he was very aggressive with her. When we asked what was going on her didn't give us a complete answer. All he said was that there are many possibilities to our situation. Then at the end he tried forcing us to book an X-ray for her. I would NEVER go back here again. The way he treats the animals and talks to the patients is horrendous. Also, EXTREMELY over priced. He also kept bouncing back and forth between clients and not once did he wash his hands. One word for this place... DISGUSTING!
Fair
Very caring dr and staff
Always top quality care.
They take good care of your pets as if they are there own
Do not under and circumstances go here. There is only one competent vet in the building. They do not know the first thing about talking to customers, and I felt more like I was talking to sleezy sales people. Go to anywhere else. If you are off hours go to Walker.
They take very good care of our fur babies!
Compassionate, caring, detailed and thorough. If your fur babies deserve some of the best care in East Windsor, head over here.
Great place, the older veterinarian with accent is always so good with our dog!!
Our little buddy went in for stone removal from the bladder... While expensive tuw work and the employees were amazing. We are very happy with the care and the service.
They are awesome, open 24/7 with no appointment necessary.
Nice patient staff
Booking appointments have been better with your team for my cats and I like they answer questions
Very caring people and a great place to bring your pet too when in need of help or care for your pets.
Expensive, but convenient
We have gone a few times, they have never diagnosed properly, and recommended putting down our cat that is now going on 3 weeks and appeared to have vestibular disorder. He's super old, but a second vet have us some meds and said to give it a week and see. They are 24h which is convenient, but that's about it.
Very kind, caring, professional and reasonable fees
Glad that this Veterinary clinic is open 24 hrs. Comes in handy if faced with a late night emergency. My dog has had two operations at this clinic and she survived both times. Thank you.
Like the dr. Very nice. Easy to get into.
So a kind man brings in a cat that he saw hit by a car and you try to make him pay over $3000 to save its life? That’s ridiculous. You should have referred him elsewhere or taken care of it through the kindness of your heart. So sad.
Thanks a lot to all the staff at this place specially to Dr Bernard and Gaby they were in charge of our Dog!! They did help us a lot!! And they were really nice!! Want to remind costumers that this is a busy place and I can tell you that is because of the good service they offer so just be patient remember you are not the only one in need of been taken care of!!! It may be people with bigger problems than yours!!!
This place is nice to there customers
Love and trust this place Dr malovic is the greatest vet I've come across
I called ahead to tell them my cat had a broken tooth. I asked them how many people were there and if the wait would be long. I was told the wait would not be long because there were not many people. I showed up to a parking lot full of cars and a long wait time. The building says 24hr EMERGENCY care. I was deeply disappointed at the response I got not to mention a crying cat with a broken tooth in the background the whole time doesn’t make the situation any easier
The only place I trust with my best friend, Pepper.
Very friendly. Open 24/7 even Christmas my dog passed on a Sunday they where very sweet. Always take my pets there.
Dr Reiss did a phenomenal job with my service dog Piper, went above and beyond..will never go anywhere else for Pipers care..
I don't use this veterinary hospital but ... The fact that they will take in injured squirrels, owls etc. They rate a 5!.
Wrong diagnosis with a very serious situation and consequences! So called dr. wanted to have a surgery on my dog's intestine after having a bad x-ray over there. The x-ray machine is not digital, images are not readable. Let's forget about that it costs about 3K + tax. But just cutting an alive creature without a proper diagnostics is a crime! You won't do that to a human. Our dog just had a constipation, not a blockage! What he thought was a blockage was a dog's poo! You offered to cut my dog because of a constipation with NO foreign body or substances inside! There are clinics in Detroit open 24 hours with modern equipment and reasonable cost, very professional and are able to use medical terms to explain, show, prove. Save your pet, stay away from them!
Recently had to put our beloved German Shepherd down. The experience was made tolerable by the kind staff. Before that our regular visit was always caring. Much respect.
First off, we are from Ohio. We were in town for the weekend visiting family for Thanksgiving. Our dog became very ill late Friday night/early Saturday morning (10/06/18). We drove to Lauzon Veterinary Hospital around 2:00am (maybe earlier) and waited for the tech to acknowledge us. Not like someone coming in at that time would be an emergency or anything – no big deal (hopefully you can sense the sarcasm here). After about a 10 minute wait for him to finish on the phone talking about boarding a dog with another customer, we finally were able to check in our dog to be seen. Which that took way too much time. First off, this place is filthy and just smells like garbage. Secondly, the veterinarian that we saw had zero bedside manners and zero compassion. Once we finally were able to tell him what was going on (our dog was vomiting/bloody diarrhea), he just kinda looked at her and then us with a confused “I don’t know what to tell you” face. He hurt my dog trying to take her temperature (which made her throw up) and then all I could hear was screams from her while they were trying to draw her blood for the blood tests. We were the ones having to recommend doing blood work and suggesting medications for her. After being there for 3.5 hours, we left with being notified she had hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, got her on some antibiotics, anti-vomiting medicine and something to calm her tummy down. I was not about to leave her there for 24 or more hours for IV fluids. 4 hours later we went to Clearwater Animal Hospital and they were fantastic, and that’s how it should be (got her on fluids and anti-diarrhea meds). Lauzon Vet Hospital has no business seeing animals and should be shut down or a whole new staff take over. What a horrid, dirty, unprofessional vet I’ve ever been to. And what they charge you is completely ridiculous for the crummy half-assed service you receive. I would’ve walked out within 5 min but I really needed to find out what was going on with my lil baby.
I had to put my cat down, staff cares about animals an the people who were part of their lives.
Dr Gord is Kota's favourite Doc ever!
Sorry for my rant ahead of time. Ok so, I decided to take my dog here because my original vet was closed since it was midnight and it was one of the worst experiences. The receptionist was extremely rude over the phone, and Dr. Abdel- Mesih made it seem like he hated that he had to help. He is completely heartless and very cold towards owners and pets. He does not care about the animals AT ALL. All he sees is $$$. He made it seem like the job was a chore he has no interest in doing. Not only that, they had to retake an x-ray THREE times because they couldn't get the machine to work correctly (they are not readable as they are not up to date with technology). After leaving my dog overnight (which I didn't feel comfortable doing but needed more tests done), they said they would call before 9am to let me know what was going on, didn't hear from them until I called at 10:30. Surgery was needed in my case and I decided I wanted to do the surgery with my own vet, because Lauzon wanted to charge me over 2x more than my own vet ($3000 vs $1140). I took the x-rays with me and they forgot to give me half of the x-rays needed for proof. My vet had to redo all the tests (free of charge) because the employees at Lauzon are so disorganized!! The next day I met with another doctor at the Lauzon location and he introduced himself and was very very nice, but my experience with the overnight doctor was a nightmare. They charged me over $600 for 3 simple tests to be done.. absolute BS. Ridiculously overpriced. I could go on for DAYS about how horrible this veterinary hospital is. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Walker Rd is also 24hours. Oh also, the room was disgustingly dirty. Rant over.
So so friendly and they helped my baby!
Most caring staff and great place
We called for advice about our cat who suddenly started dragging her legs and had a numb tail. When we googled it it seemed as if it could be a million different things so we were wondering if it was an emergency or if we could wait a day until our vet opened on Monday. The woman was extremely rude and cold. Instead of telling us if there was an emergency she said, "you know your cat." Are you kidding me? So if I called saying I was numb in my arm and wanted to know if it was an emergency they would say, "you know yourself better than I do." This is ridiculous. Where is the compassion in this industry?
We're very good when I brought them a dieing stray cat very grateful for their caring service.
Friendly staff
Prices keep going up, and I wish they would follow up with their customers like other vet hospitals do. Make it a bit more personal to the customer
Dr. Kaul is so personable and so good to our puppy dog!
Open 24 hours and awesome service for your fur babies!
I wouldn't trust bringing you're pets here at night people.
Saved my dogs life. Great staff!
They truly saved our cat.
Went at night (Sunday) and the vet and staff were really great- very kind, considerate, patient and helped with the problem, also providing detailed steps for checking my pet periodically at home.
Very compassionate staff
Awesome place for your fur buddies
Great vets. But some of the rest of the staff is less great. I had to give them my new phone number 5 times before they updated my file and only because on the fifth time I told them I would wait while they did it now! Also have had a vet tech trying to diagnose my cat's problem and giving me advice instead of just booking me an appointment like I asked him to.
Dr. Reese is freaking awesome
One star only because I can't give no stars. I recently visited this vet hospital because my beloved family dog had to be put down. The vet was disorganized, not compassionate and rude. I would never go there again.
Took my 23 year old cat Gemini there 2 years ago thought I was going to have to put her down turned out she was constipated ,she's still licken and kicken, great start staff and Doctors. Thanks????????
Watch out for Dragan Gunj. He's extremely disrespectful. He made rude remarks about the big dog cage my cat was in, when I was bringing her in the vet. He said, "You're lucky that your neighbors didn't see you, or else they would call the humane society and you would go to court." He implied that I'm mistreating my cat. Another incident was when I was on the phone with my husband to discuss about the situation while Gunj was in front of me. He scolded me and said that he can sue me cause I didn't tell him I was on the phone and he thought I was recording our conversation. The doctor that perform surgeries is incompetent. He did the stitches for my cat. The next day, the stitches came undone and he blamed it all on my cat. He charged me an additional $100 for the anesthesia because a second surgery needed to be done. This time he stitched the wound from the inside. So why wasn't that method done the first time? He also informed me that my cat's belly was three times bigger than normal and said she could die from worms. So he prescribed my cat worm medication. My cat gave birth to 7 kittens a week later. Not once did any of these doctors mention she was pregnant or even suggested the possibility of pregnancy. I asked the technician to demonstrate how to syringe feed kittens. The technician taught me how to feed my kittens the incorrect way, which possibly led all my kittens to have aspiration, since I heard them all struggling to breathe. All of my kittens soon passed away. Read my detailed review on Yelp.
Great vet !
Good service, they provide options and are open 24 hours.
Super slow, I think all 3 times I've been there I've had to wait maybe 1 - 2 hours for a simple vaccination.
Awesome people
Very poor. Appointment for rabies shot for my dog. 12:30 appointment and it took until 2:30 to get shot. Vet happened to come to vehicle looking for someone else and I explained the situation and he took my dog right away and apologized. No other tech or clerk that I expressed my concern to earlier or accepting payment apologized. Not cool.
I called at 11pm on Saturday to put my guy down cause he couldn't breathe and was suffering. They told me they were too busy and for me to come in at 8am. Ya 9 hrs later. Well my guy passed about 6 hrs later. This place has no compassion at all. How they can turn down a dog suffering. Totally unprofessional.. ????????
Amazing and caring doctors and staff.
Literally the worst veterinary experience I’ve ever had. Brought my car in for a booster (had already made an appointment for 6:00PM) - they didn’t even bring the cat in until 6:30. They told me to wait in my car - so I waited... and waited... 8:00 Rolls around (yes I literally waited there for an hour and a half) and I decide to call them. They mentioned that my car had been ready for some time. They told me they were trying to call me. This is simply not true. They have my number on file and I’ve received calls from them in the past, but not on this day. I’ve never gone there and waited less than an hour, even for simple things. The people there are totally unapologetic and will continuously make excuses for their poor service. Worst vet in Windsor, will not be back...
They where very nice and the Vet was the Best One I have Ever seen. Rhino was so Good.
Dr. Gunj and staff were quick, professional and very pleasant. Very happy with the quick care they provided for Titan on superbowl Sunday during a pandemic. Thank you for everything you did for our pup tonight
Amazing care for our cat mystique who somehow bit her tongue and needed stitches. Thank you does not say enough.
I highly recommend Dr. D. Gunj. He helped me with my cat & the issues he was having. He was honest the entire time, and very good with my cat who is skittish around men. I will always go back to Dr Dragan. Thank you!
Avoid at all costs. All about money and could care less about animals!
The Sikh that works thereVery rudeWe asked him how long it was going to be after waiting an hourHe said if we didn't like it we can go somewhere elseThis will be the last time I go thereI recommend if you wantCourteous people this is the wrong place to go
Vets are too rough with animals. Reception staff is great. KAITLYN was amazing to deal with. Very polite and helpful ????
Great vets. feel very good about taking our dog here. have recommended them to several others Have our Lab groomed here too.
Taking a great care to my dog
one of my friends brought her dog to get trimmed, they proceeded to do what they liked and shaved her against my friends wishes. the dog is now unevenly cut and her ears and tail are not even touched. this is absolutely disgusting and ridiculous as to how you can let your customers leave that way. she was there for about 5 hours. poorly treated and beyond poor quality on the person who did her hair “trim”
I like Dr. Reiss, he's very knowledgeable, but working for the wrong clinic. Very overpriced and the staff are very disorganized. You have to continually phone to make sure they got it right. I had to unfortunately have my cat euthanased, cost me $700.00. When I had to do it a second time unfortunately, went elsewhere and cost me $300.00. Not recommended.
They helped me with all my issues regarding my friends pet and told me what to do and what not to do.
dr gaurav kaul and the staff are incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. There were two of us there in the clinic, we waited three hours, they claimed the wait was because the other dog was in surgery but the owner said she didn't elect to get surgery (So what were we waiting for?). Our vet recommended a home remedy so we were in a rush to get home to do this; but we of course had to wait three hours just to pay and get our dog back. They wanted to charge 4500, then reduced the price to 2000. I personally believe this price drop was a tactic to get us to do surgery despite us saying no. I am left feeling terrible after this experience of being ignored by staff, staff told me they have no idea what is going on. Save yourself and go to another clinic if it's an emergency. I will provide an update on puppy in a few days if anyone is interested.
Bring my dog there
caring staff , great veterinarians and open 24 hours.
Very helpful . Vet came outside to show me X ray of my dog and what procedure they need to do. Very professional
24 hour service and helpful staff. Have not used as regular vet. Family members have brought their animals here in the past without issue
I really like the service here although its not the fastest due to emergencies and being compassionate to the unfortunate people who loose their loved ones. Dr Reese was exceptional with dealing with very hard decisions and keeps it real.
Good Vets but pricey
Had a special for car vaccines great service
I had a wonderful experience here. The vet tech was very kind and loving to my cat. I appreciated that Dr. Nizamani was very transparent about the cost for surgery, and was helpful in finding the most affordable treatment for my cat! :)
Euthanized a rabbit I dropped off, couldn't clearly explain why. Disorganized and story wasn't clear.
Absolutely amazing people. We could not be happier. Karen and Cornell (along with the rest of the staff who are kind and comical) are both so helpful and friendly this will now be our go to vet! The Dr was friendly and knowledgeable.
Conveniently located in my neck of the city, Lauzon veterinary hospital does everything they can to take care of my pets in an expeditious fashion. We like Gord. He has always been very straightforward with us regarding our options and pricing.
Very rude and unorganized office. Tried to charge my family 3 times the amount our regular vet charged us. Called us on three different occasions stating our dog was one of there other clients dogs they must have had there. My dog did not enjoy the vibe the office and staff had and she was uneasy the entire time. I do not recommend anyone to bring their animals to this location. In a sensitive time such as an emergency you need a place you can feel comfortable and competent with and we did not feel that in anyway
I would like to thank Dr.Dragan on the excellent care given to my cat Nelson. Always seems to happen on a long weekend, but thanks to Lauzon being open. Nelson had surgery and is recovering well. I would definitely recommend this hospital.
Very very caring staff!
Unprofessional. Constantly making mistakes.
I came in for an annual wellness visit for my cat and because of concerns I had about symptoms that looked like asthma. After waiting for nearly 2 hours (with an appointment), we finally saw the vet. I consented to have his rabies vaccine updated and became pretty skeptical about other vaccines that I was being told my cat needed because it would be 'cheaper ' and because I would already be paying for the vet exam. After going through the risk factors, we determined my cat did not need the FVRCP booster shot, When I went home I noticed on the invoice that I was charged for this vaccine and my cat was in fact administered something that he did not need and is strongly associated with much more severe health complications. I called the office to complain asking what would be done to ensure that these vets are held accountable for providing unnecessary veterinary medicine to animals who don't need it just to make some profit. I was told that "it's your word against the doctor, he said you consented. This is false. Your vet is legally and ethically responsible to provide appropriate care to your animal, if you do not provide verbal assent to treatment, they are liable. Unfortunately we lost a cat a few years ago through this same vet due to heart failure during a procedure to remove a lump likely due to a sarcoma (which are common in cats that get frequent and unnecessary vaccines). At the time we came to terms with the fact that the cat was older and he could not handle the anesthesia, but after the way this case was handled with our new cat, I'm appalled that this place is still open, and his death was most likely a case of poor vet practices and negligence. We will definitely be filling a complaint with the board.
Terrible experience. Staff very rude and uncomforting to people coming in with sick pets who want a proper diagnosis and not just subjective opinions. Go elsewhere if you want proper care and a friendly environment because from my experience here these staff members should not be in this line of work.
I took my dog in at 6:30pm because she was disoriented and unable to walk. I called ahead to give them my information and have her checked in. Upon arrival, the tech at the front desk had no idea who we were and started the admission process all over again. After that, we sat and waited for over 30 minutes while other people went ahead of us. I finally decided to go in and see what was going on and another tech fully admitted that she didn't see our paperwork and skipped over us - all the meanwhile her condition was seeming to decline. Once the tech came out to grab her, we told said tech that she couldn't walk and needed to be carried in. She brought out another tech to help and they DROPPED HER as she was being carried. The vet came out shortly after and told us whatever was in her system had passed and she could come home. We then waited another 40 minutes before going in yet again to see what they were to doing to our dog. They forgot that she was even there, leaving her alone in a room for lord knows how long. I will NEVER be going back to this animal hospital - absolutely ridiculous.
Very kind and knowledgeable. Super friendly staff. Karen's amazing!
We had a very positive experience and will be returning.
Great place friendly staff.
Had to put my dog down here. They were very good to my dog while she was there. Nice doctors. Only real. I'm not giving 5 stars is they wouldn't send my dog out to be cremated until the bill was paid in full... which after tests etc came to 1300$. I would reccomend bringing your animal here.
Dr. Gord Reiss is the best and the staff is wonderful.
Very great staff, and took very good care of my baby kitten.
Great vets
Worst experience ever!! Sat in the parking lot for over 2 hours. We called to find out our place in line and were told they had 3 doctors on and we would be next. Then we watched 3 pets go inside before us after that. They called me 3 hours later and I told them that we left hours ago and got ignored while others were taken in who came after us. Never again will I take my pets here!!!!
We have been dealing w Lauzon for many years. The personal attention by all the staff has been nothing short of amazing. We consider Dr. Bernard more than our vet but a friend. This doesn't mean to say that the other doctors have not met our needs but we have shared some very personal moments with Dr. B. We highly recommend this clinic for your pets veterinary needs.
Helped us though a very tough time.
Loyal to our babies
We are from a city that has a severe veterinarian shortage and nobody would help my dog. He had mouth pain for months and n matter how many times I begged for help, they would not help him at all. Money wasn't an issue. His health was. When I called LVH, while visiting a sick family member in Windsor, they were able to get in my dog within 3 hours and after assessing his problems, they performed dental surgery that same day!!! I cannot thank them enough for helping resolve his dental issues. The cost was reasonable and the care was phenomenal. They have restored my faith in vets.
Expensive but they got the job done and they do help with wildlife so I'll be back
Pricing is fair. Very nice and caring. Thorough.
No body cares. Uneducated vets from outside Canada with a hard accent to understand. Wasted my money. If you care for your pet DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS DEADLY PLACE
Loved this place once I met Dr. Gunj. We saw one doctor here Dr. Malovec and I was not super impressed with his care for my dog. He seemed more concerned with smaller issues instead of getting the important issues dealt with. I brought my dog back in here for a recheck after Dr. Malovec has supposedly fixed him and Dr. Gunj was the one who saw my dog. Words cannot describe the amount of gratitude I have, Dr. Gunj actually spent the time with my doggy and took xrays and went right to the root of the problem, then he spent 9 hours working on my dog making sure to do the best job he could. I am forever thankful to Dr. Gunj. Definitely a good place to take your animal you just have to beware which doctor sees them, that's all. Thank you Dr. GUNJ
I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else ..
I've been here multiple times and I am always happy with their service .
Just another vet looking to make money by giving excessive shots. Made our dog bleed everywhere when trying to give him a shot. We asked about nail clippings and the vet told us we shouldn't do it ourselves because we could cut the nerve. Vet tech comes in and does exactly that and makes our dog bleed for the 2nd time in one visit. NOT IMPRESSED, won't be coming back
Fast and efficient!
always great experience they truley care about your pet
I do not do reviews often, but this clinic saved our 12 year old cat's life. He had 5 teeth pulled, one was badly infected and his cheek was swollen and was affecting his eye. Within 2 weeks he made a recovery, eating soft food only. Within 6 weeks he was eating hard food only again and back to the same cat he has always been. Thank you very much.
Thanks for helping our Fibi
Made an appointment for our cat because she had a large amount of blood in her stool. The appointment was at noon, so we were there 10 mins early to check in to which the receptionist said the vet would be out shortly. We waited 30 mins after our appointment to 12:30 and no vet. Called back to check in and they said another few mins. Waited 15 mins and still no vet. Called back a third and fourth time with the same response. We ended up waiting almost an hour and a half until the vet came out as we were leaving, we asked why it took so long and his response was "some people wait 3-4 hours for an appointment, if you don't like it go somewhere else". We won't be returning here ever again, I'll gladly spend my money somewhere else.
We had an appointment for 1pm for my husky and they made us wait for 1.5 hours. Had a really bad expression won’t recommend this place to anyone. They don’t know how to manage time and they try to scam people as well.
Way overpriced
They care about your pets, open year round and 24 hours with out the cost of emg 24 hour service. No appointment is required, but it's best to call ahead to see if they are busy and if so book a time slot.
I appreciate the care and the professional people. I wish prices could be lower but that's hard to do when they have the overhead they have.
Docters and staff are amazing
We made an appointment for surgeryon our cat, called when we arrived and they couldn't find anything about it. Waited 15-20 minutes and they really didn't end up finding it in the "system " even though they had examined the cat twice already. The previous visit they forgot we were waiting in the parking lot for about 45 minutes and the surgery was almost $ 800 just before Christmas and the vet said that we easily can wait a few weeks with out any issues because it was not urgent. The only reason we went back was so that we didn't have to spend another $100 on an examination at another veterinarians office.
Receptionists were completely unprofessional. Do not risk precious time coming here if your dog is ill.
Would like to thank everyone at Lauzon Vet. For taking such compassionate care on the passing of our precious dog Molly, and special thanks to Dr. Reese.
Horrible customer service and almost killed out dog. I will never ever go back.
Seems they charge top dollar to do the bare minimum. Brought my cat in because his eye looks awful and was given drops & told If they don’t work come back. Of course I can come back, that’s another 80 dollar exam fee for you guys. Took him to my regular vet and he was able to find the problem within 20 minutes & give what’s needed. When you are in the business of caring for animals maybe put what’s best for them above your greed. Waste of 160 for absolutely nothing.
Most desensitized place you could bring your pet. Completely cold and numb to owners feelings and make absolutely no connection with your pet. Our 3 consecutive visits left us feeling robbed of our money all while resulting in absolutely no answers and zero results for the animals well being. The hospital charges wat too much for simple/unnecessary procedures all while using no good; outdated equipment resulting in no relief for your pet or answers for the owner. Place takes advantage of the love and dependency of people to their animals to make profit; making you feel like you have no other options or alternate avenues.
Very insensitive and unkind. The staff was laughing Very loudly and goofing around while I was in there to have my cat put to sleep so we had to listen to their laughing while I cried over my cat. They let a dog run into the room while I was in with my cat right after she died. They didn't rush in to get the dog out or even apologize. We had to get the dog out ourselves. The vet was cold and uncaring. I contacted them on their website to let them know about my awful experience (so they could use it as a learning experience) and they didn't bother to respond. They made a sad day even worse.
so far so great.. better than walker road Animal by long shot
Great doctors and front desk staff. You can tell everyone truly cares about your pet. They never push you to buy their products or spend more than you need to. In 20 years I have never had any thoughts of switching vets.
Not much of a wait for the only people there at night. The vet did try and give us more meds then necessary, and at a higher cost then usual as "the owner raised their prices" ????????♀️ Changing my review as well as my vet for my cats now. Agreed on a price to have my cats neutered. When we showed up for the appointment they gave us a much higher price. When we talked about what was quoted and prices, they said they would give us the price we were quoted but we would have to buy additional medicine that was $80+ tax so we’re still paying more! I would much rather go to a vet even if more money, that won’t change the price once we show up to gouge us for more. I get these things aren’t cheap, but don’t change the price when we show up and only do the procedure if we pay more. This is awful business practice especially when we budgeted for one price and now can’t get groceries this week
Best staff!! We would never bring our fur babies anywhere else!!
I was put on hold and made to wait when parking lot was empty. I was just there to buy animal food.
Staff extremely polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Also helpful was the facy that they were participating in this year's reduced fee of $50 for vaccinations.
Not friendly
Very helpful and knowledgeable
Well, when I had to bring in my puppy for shots, dewormed, xrays and whatever she needed... I'd have to say I'd definitely go back for their rates
(Translated) Bitter experience on this site ... total misinformation. Bad time we have spent there with our dog. (Original) Amarga experiencia en este sitio... desinformación total. Mal rato que hemos pasado ahi con nuestra perrita .
My 6 yr old shih tzu had excruciating pain for 2 days. I called the Walker Rd clinic but they said it would be at least a 4 hr wait and sent me to Lauzon veterinary Hospital. I brought my dog in and was rushed into a room. The vet came in and knew exactly what was wrong with him. He treated my dog so gently because he could see how much pain my dog was in. He then gave him a 14 day antibiotic injection as well. I asked if my dog would need an xray done and he replied "no why spend extra money! The vet's name that did the procedure was Dr Bernard Malovec"
Only place i will take our dog!! Great staff and doctors
Don't bother . Brought my 8 year old cat who had bloody stool to be examined , I was very worried about her . He examined her and told me he "felt something " DIDNT say we're or whatid could be. gave a long list of things he could do that would cost 800 dollars. When j for upset he said if you can't afford it don't bother. Then walked out and slammed the door . not to mention he speaks VERY POOR English . I left and brought her to my regular vet next day. If you want you animal alive . Don't go here
They were not professional at all, completely disorganized, I feel like they didn’t explain anything to me and I felt like they were figuring it out as I go. Not somewhere I feel taking my pet again
Had an appointment for 4pm we called at 4:45 and was told we were next. We left at 5:15. Poor time management skills. And still no service.
They were so nice to me on such a bad day. I don't have a car and was standing in the rain and they gave me an umbrella and was so understanding when I was such a mess. Thank you so much. ????
just want to thank Dr. Kahlon for being amazing with our Ruudy! my boy scratched/ ripped a piece of his 3rd eyelid and my regular vet is on vacation. when we tried Walker Road, they were estimating 12+ hour wait and I wasn't okay with that, so we came to Lauzon and only waited about 2 hours to see the vet, where Dr Kahlon was extremely nice and understanding and explained everything. as someone who has been through the ringer with sick cats in the last year, he was very comforting and reassuring. he took him in to surgery THAT NIGHT and my baby was home by 10pm. can't thank you guys enough!
They held my cat for over and hour and a half and tried to charge me $300 for an x-ray to detect if she was in fact pregnant, but the doctor had informed me if she was pregnant she wouldn't be far enough along to see on the x-ray.. they tried to tell me that if i didn't let them x-ray she would die... They wanted $179 just to feel her tummy.. They don't communicate and speak over you when you're trying to talk. Rudest most unprofessional vet i have ever saw. They shouldn't have their license!!
Immediately took my kitten who had an injury and didnt get annoyed when I called them all through the night asking if she was ok. Also did an amazing job on my dog's surgery. They are always very accommodating to our needs. Their groomer is also wonderful! Overall a great place to take your pets.
Lauzon Veterinary saved my dog, no ifs ands or buts. She was bitten in the face and had a very hard time with her eye, filling with pus... we were convinced it would have to be removed. Dr Chaudhary assured us that with TLC and time spent at the hospital she would recover. A surgery and a scope later and not only was our dog able to keep her eye, she recovered marvelously to where you almost can't tell she was in danger! The staff were warm and caring on the phone and it person, and every time we visited you could just see how comfortable our dog was. The staff took her out for walks and even played with her. When it was time for her to go home, all of the technicians came out to say goodbye and give her hugs. Truly a wonderful hospital with a fantastic staff of warm folks. They were happy to attend to my every concern and not once did I feel I was being a bother (and I called daily, sometimes twice a day, to check on my dog!). Highly, highly recommend these fantastic folks.
Great experience! They are amazing people! So good with the animals.
I have read many reviews about birds in this, but when I called for an EMERGENCY the lady was very rude and told me that they don’t take birds and hung up in my face.
I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of professionalism and communication with this place. I had made an appointment at 3PM, I arrived 5 minutes early and checked in on the phone. They said they would come out and get our dog when the room was ready. At 330PM we were still waiting so I called, they said they were a little behind, no apology issued. I called back at 4PM and the response I was given and I quote "well it's better than an 8 hour wait at Walker". Well I have no clue what that has to do with me. It was -7C and I understand it's during covid but at least have the courtesy to call and give us an update rather than leaving is in our car, we would have gladly taken a ride to Timmies. I asked for them to print my file so I could find a new vet, the clerk that came out was nice and said she understood but once again quoted the 8 hour wait at Walker. She offered for me to call the owner. I found out they had multiple appointments for the same Vet at 3PM and a person who pulled it 10 minutes after us got in before us. We will miss DR Reese but this treatment is completely unacceptable. Never again!
The staff was friendly and the veteran was really thorough.
Very friendly and patient when I asked a ton of questions.
Good service. Nice staff. Kept us informed in a timely manner. Thank you
Good professionals work there. Your pet will get proper care from them.
My cat receives an injection every few weeks. This past week, I was shocked to see that the cost for this short visit has more than doubled. When I questioned the bill, I was informed that the business is under new management. Lauzon prices used to be quite reasonable. Pet food prices by Hills and Royal Canin have also sky rocketed. The industry has become greedy. As for wait times, I've waited on average an hour. Scheduling was different Pre-Covid, with limited indoor waiting space. I've dealt with a few of the Vets, and find that Dr. Reiss offers the best care for my cat.
I've never had an issue with Lauzon Veterinary hospital, the staff has always been amazing with my fur babies. The doctors are knowledgeable kind and caring.
Have only went once in an emergency situation. The way everything was handled was amazing. They take the time to make sure your animal/s feels safe in there care/presents. Only thing I wish was better would have been the vet explaining things better (more to the point).
.......DR MENA IS A PUPPY KILLER...... I brought my 9 week old puppy only to spend $600 for them to turn around and tell me to .... euthanize.... my puppy... I could not accept it I got a second opinion from Walker road only to find out it was a simple infection ...... PUPPY KILLER
Thank you Dr.Tail for your care of Scout. 15 years young, maybe Scout has 9lives, truly thankful, ????????
I love that this place is all hours, although it's quite a bit more expensive than other locations. The staff was all very Friendly and helpful and treated my kitty super well and took her quickly. I'm very happy with their service so far. :)
Dr.d gunj doesn't care unless he is getting paid took my sick puppy in to get checked out wouldn't help or tell me anything unless i paid 232.58 and this is after payn 66.16 just to tell me somthing i already knew. He made me feel like poop cuz i didnt have the 232.58 what a Dr. Plz fire this man he dont care unless you have money right away...... Boo this man
Great service, friendly staff.
AWFUL. brought my cat there to get fixed and they charged me and afterwords said my cat had a fever and couldn't get it done that day....made another appointment maybe a week later and they said that i did not pay the taxes??? i had to screenshot my payment from the bank just to prove i did pay it. They also said i had charges on my account from like 2014.......... but i never even owned an animal until 2 years ago. My cat came back fixed and sick and now gave it to my other cats and they refuse to give me any advice for him. they want to charge me to bring him again LIKE THE WORSE VET IN WINDSOR. not professional at all.
Awful experience. 1 star is being too generous. The "vet" told us that he THINKS our dog has a shoulder fracture based on XRay but needed us to spend another $225 to find out, we said no and that we were leaving to bring him to our own vet the next morning when they open. They then proceed to WALK OUR DOG OUT. Which is dangerous because 1. He has a "fracture" or so you say, and 2. He's 9 weeks old and this is an area highly frequented by other animals. We then ask for a copy of the XRays and it took them over 12 hours to send them when they said they'd be sent within a few. We bring him to our vet the next day, she says he does not have a fracture, he extends and flexes with no reaction. Maybe there are good vets who work there, but when you hire someone who only has an undergrad and claim that they're a Doctor? Never again.
Amazing.
Do you love your pet? Care about their treatment and care in the slightest? Well, if you value your animal in any capacity DO NOT bring them here. My experience was consistently awful from start to finish. The administrative side was disorganized and did not communicate with one another, causing delays and misinformation. The vets had conflicting advice and did not explain what was happening clearly. It was a greatly upsetting experience for myself and put my pet through unnecessary pain and discomfort. I would not recommend Lauzon Veterinary Hospital.
When I boarded my dog there for 2 nights they charged me for giving her the medication when they didn't do it. I also paid for nail trimming and the nails were barely touched! When the technician came out she was super rude and said this is the max that she could do. I asked to speak with a manager, after 20 minutes of standing someone came to say I have to wait for another 10 minutes so I gave them my contact number for the manager to call me. It has been 6 days and no one called, I know for sure they will never call. Certainly a negative experience with them more than once. They never cared to acknowledge people's reviews as if they are untouchable!
It was not a happy day for us......but the lone bright spot was the Dr and vet techs:) What an amazing Veterinary hospital???? We can not say enough good things about how we were treated:) thank you, thank you, thank you????
Very happy with the service they give my pup!
The wait wasn't bad the veterinarian was actually very nice and took the time to explain. My only issue is the staff that comes to you in parking lot needs to be more aware of the situation were in currently. never wore a mask and comes right up on you should be more considerate of customers.
I ended up there under unfortunate circumstances. Dr. Kaul was very supportive as were the rest of his staff.
Amazing vet!!! We went to walker first and they were cold and very difficult to deal with- complete lack of consideration. We went to lauzon the following day and I have only great things to say about the team there! Very compassionate and very helpful!!!
Very polite staff. Clean facility. Little wait time. Went in to get our new little puppy her 2nd booster shots and the Dr. Actually took the time to teach my teenagers how to trim the puppy's nails.
Long wait for emerg but got in and dog attended to. Very very friendly staff and vet.
My dog fell ill suddenly, and his condition changed so quickly and drastically. The primary emergency vet we took our dog to was on Walker Emergency Hospital and they were swamped with more acute serious cases. His vitals were checked, some labs drawn, and they suggested I took my dog home, and waited until he could be seen by a vet! Little did Walker Emergency Hospital know his CONDITION WAS SEVERE !!!! They were unable to assess my dog and Lauzon did and it was severe as he was bleeding internally, with start of organ failure. When I called Lauzon and explained my dogs symptoms and decline, and they got me in as quickly as they could. They examined him and determined his status was critical and required testing. Upon testing it was found that he was suffering, declining rapidly, and his chances for survival was grave. We made the tough decision and decided to put our dog down. Dr. Mena thank you for your honesty, your empathy, care and expertise for my dog. It was a very stressful and heart breaking experience and situation. Your vet techs, and team who worked today, I just want to say thank you. The kindness, empathy, concern, and overall excellent care you provided Tucker in his final moments, will never be forgotten. My dog was given the best life, and received the best care in his final moments. I can't thank this emergency Hospital enough for everything they did.
Staff and veterinarian were very friendly and informative.
Good place
I recently had to put my two baby's down. Everyone at the hospital were so caring and understanding. Thankyou all staff
Liked the examination of my cat, however waited 2.5 hours in the parking lot with a 1:30pm appointment. That was disappointing!People were served first come first served. Not fair to those who have an appointment. Otherwise I would have given 4 stars.
Absolutely amazing team, Dr. Branton went out of his way to make sure my dog was okay and answered all my questions. After a few stressful days I truly appreciate his work and compassion!!!
This is the most amazing veterinarian clinic I've ever been to. They saved me a ton of money they don't gouge you for extras and they're completely honest. The staff is incredibly friendly and I would recommend this to anyone who owns pets. Do not bring your pets anywhere else besides here. They are incredibly knowledgeable. If I could rate them more stars I would.
3.9 is ridiculous this place is great
We brought our 7 week old puppy to Lauzon bc we had an emergency where our puppy had to have surgery due to a foreign body object ingested. After several tests to determine the cause ($400 later) they informed us that the surgery was our only option ($1800). They made us pay half of the money up front. They kept our puppy for 5 days after surgery and told us we had to pick her up bc "they couldn't handle her crying". They made us pay the remainder of our bill even after we pleaded with them to make payments (because we couldn't afford it all) and would not allow us to pick her up until we paid in full. We brought her home and after a couple of weeks of nursing her back to health we had our baby back and we thought she was going to be ok...that is until all of sudden (out of nowhere) she became lethargic, whimpering in pain, shaking, and showing signs of discomfort when we brought her to our vet (not lauzon) and we were informed that the surgery was not performed properly and that we would have to keep putting her through surgeries to correct "this mistake". Unfortunately we had to make a decision & we did not want our baby to suffer anymore. She passed away on March.23/2016. We can't help but think if we had brought her somewhere else maybe this wouldn't have happened. We are heart broken bc of this and needless to say, we will NEVER EVER bring any of our pets there again!!!
I do not recommend this place only if you like waiting 2hours and talk to unprofessional lazy people. This place just wants you’re money!
Great clinic! Staff very friendly! 24 hours! Cats are kept separate from dogs...very good!
Very compassionate in a difficult time
Please go somewhere else if you are able to. Staff at the front is very nice and friendly, but vets seem to be uneducated and care more about their money than the health of our pets. We took our cat here multiple times within a month and the vets could not tell us what was wrong with him. They kept suggesting different things, made us pay for a few shots that only temporarily helped and gave us specific instructions for feeding and said if we do exactly what they say he should be fine. He ended up dying at home. After one of our visits, we were in a hurry and left the bill for a family member to pay but he had forgotten to pay before he left and was going to come back in the morning. The vet called us the next day and pretended like he was checking up on our cat post-visit but really just wanted to know where his money was. This was just our experience with them, I don't believe all of the vets here are this way or that they meant for our cat to pass, I know it is a vet's intention to help every pet, but we couldn't help feel like there was more that could've been done for him.
We're never disappointed with the care our companion gets at Lauzon Veterinary Hospital!
We have been going to Lauzon Vet now for over 14 years. The staff here are compassionate about their work and treat the animals as if they were their own. They are open 24 hours a day which is helpful in case of an emergency. We will continue to being our dog here.
Need more compassion male vetenerian .
I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies.
The vet here overcharged a lot of the clients and doesn't do anything helpful to the ailing pets. It's no wonder why the vet was suspended multiple times! Avoid this place if you want your beloved fur babies alive and well
Arrived at the vets with an 11am appointment booked. Needed shots for 1 cat, 3 dogs. It wasn’t until about 11:30 that the cat got first taken in. 15 minutes later, they came out to the parking letting us know the cat had the beginning of an upper respiratory infection starting and needed antibiotics and already had a cone on the cat. Advised us that the cat would be promptly returned. Fast forward to 1:15 and the lost vet tech came to the window with another animals medication. When he was politely asked what the long wait time was for he tried using the excuse that they were really busy. I then explained to him, again, politely that there was only a max of four cars at any time and that they have all been cycled through at least twice while we remained waiting. The vet tech then told me to “calm down” even though I was very calm and polite about this. He told me I would have to call the office to get more information. Fortunately for them, the lines remained busy through the duration of our wait here. Reading other online reviews, this seems to be a persistent problem with them not being able to manage their caseload effectively. Staff friendliness also seems to be consistently not as professional as they should be either. Would consider going elsewhere if you don’t have a free day to waste.
Horrible Horrible Horrible
Came in tonight for the second time today for a hot spot on my dog. The nurse was so rude over the phone, talking over me constantly, wouldnt let me get one word in. She told me they would look at the wound and give us a pill to have him sleep as he is irritated.I asked if id be charged for anything if i had brought him in, i was told "no, nothing at all". Sure enough after our visit with the vet, they charge us for the pills. After i politely asked her again why she did not explain this over the phone when i asked, again was belittling me and so very rude talking over me constantly. Even after my boyfriend had to tell her to let me speak she still spoke over me. Very disappointed in this care.
Amazing people that care and it shows! Went in on a Friday evening because my baby girl Bubbles had a broken DU claw... The care she received was great! They are now her new go to vets! Thank you everyone!
Being my first time here in an emergency situation the staff and Dr. Reiss were world class. They made me and more importantly Hailey feel as we were family. They looked after Hailey as if she was one of their own. There are not enough adjectives to describe how we truly feel about our experience and about Lauzon Veterinary Hospital. I have no reservations about ever having them look after Hailey nor would I have any reservations about recommending them. Thank you seems so small of a phrase for your care of Hailey but "THANK YOU"
If I could give a 0 I would, I have had many problems from this vet hospital. Most of the staff are rude and unprofessional. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place over 2 years for the care of my diabetic dog, and this place lacks customer communication skills, and treat animals poorly. I had a 24 hour glucose test for my dog and I get a call they need to extend his stay because they forgot to feed him and give him his insulin in the morning. Another time I put my dog in boarding there for 2 days while I went out of town, when I went to pick him up I discovered they had not feed him properly because half of his food was giving back to me and his meals were measured. They gave him full doses of insulin meanwhile he had not properly eaten. It took me a week to get him back into routine and his sugar levels back to a normal range. I also had to take my dog home and bath him because he was covered in urine. Their response to this was that next time I board him I must pay for a boarding bath too. I am sorry but in 2 days of boarding my dog should not be covered in urine if he was properly cared for during his stay. I would call this a form of animal cruelty. The only good thing at this place was Dr.Reiss, he is a great vet working at the wrong clinic with very unprofessional staff. Avoid this place at any cost if you have to they will neglect your pet. I have since switched my dog to clearwater animal hospital and their level of care and professionalism is much better.
I gave this page a review a while ago. I wish I could give 0
In an emergency situation recently, Lauzon Veterinary Hospital was able to help our 7 month old puppy quickly in resolving the issue he faced. This situation with our boy's concern was fatal and the possible treatment was time sensitive (less than 2 hours from onset.) The team at Lauzon Veterinary Hospital was HONEST, genuine and accommodating. The staff onsite was willing to discuss our pup's condition over the phone to prevent worst case scenario and quickly advise of next steps related to treatment while we were furiously on our way to see them. (Perhaps we were fortunate that there was no wait time?.....as this is unlikely for most after hours clinics..)....OR that the staff onsite at this hospital are proficient and knowledgeable to diagnose and treat our loved ones in a timely manner, especially considering emergency situations?? ABSOLUTELY!!!! All and all they are 100% the ONLY 24 hour clinic emergency room to work with in Windsor. Cost associated with the emergency procedure was fair. Moreover their demeanor/consideration/respect for the pet parents dealing with an already tough situation....is second to NONE!. Feeling blessed. For those wondering WHICH 24 hour emergency to go to in Windsor when your pet isn't well.....please trust me. Go to Lauzon.
Very kind
Vet was honest and kind.
Appointment was for 9am at 945 still no one came out. Several people after myself were taken in. Called again put on hold. Never returned to phone . 10 am still nothing. Left at 1010 still no phone contact. Apparently dogs are more important than cats. Would not recommend this place. 2 hours in a car carrier for a cat is way to long.
(Translated) Excellent service (Original) Excellent service
I have been twice with our German Shepherd Max to this hospital and I was very surprised buy the kindness of stuff especially the high expertise of their doctors. Thank you very much to all and you will be my only place in Windsor to visit how long I have a dog.
