I took my pregnant cat there, and they RIPPED US OFF, made me pay 114 for barely a check up, dodnt give me and estimate of how many fleas she had, or anything and made me pay 35 dollars for only 2 pills that DONT WORK, my cat still has fleas, i sprayed the whole house, and the pills where cheaper online getting a pack of 6.

A dishonest vet. Quite a few time, he has made up things about how my dog is sick. there is nothing he wouldn't say just to make a few more bucks. My dog had a lot of water and pissed on the examine table one time, then Dr.Branton tried to convince me that my dog's kidney is not functioning properly because the urine looked clear.

Edit: recently we added a new pup to our family. My first instinct was to go to Branton Animal hospital. I'm very disappointed with my experience over the last month and some. The care from the office staff has gone right down the drain (not providing true information, losing stool samples, giving expired medication, not providing vaccine records) Unfortunately, due to covid they are now only doing curbside appointments so you don't really get to speak to the vet all that you would like. I paid $60 for a test to see what type of bacteria was in my girls ears, I think after paying that the vet would call me to tell me the findings? No, I had to call and ask. Even then, the vet didn't even call me himself and the girl who I was speaking to (the only employee there whom I actually enjoy) she didn't even really know the answers to my questions. Extremely disappointing as I have referred them to many people and I think I'm done with that!!! Anytime I had brought my Yorkie here he was always well taken care of, prices were always fair. Most recently he became sick, I brought him in at the last minute on a saturday and Dr. Bidlon was very willing to do everything necessary to help him even when it was supposed to be his "off time". He only did treatment that he felt was necessary and I know this because the cost was less then he quoted. He called me on a Sunday afternoon to check in on my boy and see how he was doing. We brought him back in on Monday morning - he wasn't well. Dr.Bidlon presented all options of care. He was very honest and compassionate. All of the staff was very nice and helpful. After all was said and done they sent us a very nice sympathy card in the mail Thank you for helping my boy. To sum it up: office is clean, staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, doctor cares about animals over anything else.

We love this vet. He's very compassionate and caring. He really listens and does his best to to be cost effective without cutting back on patient care. He collaborates with colleagues and does alot of research. He made himself available after hours and on weekends when we needed him. He even called us to check in on our pet! We have cats and dogs and this is who we trust and rely on.

Great first visit today with my not so calm dog. Dr. Bidlon and staff are great, caring, patient and compassionate. My dog isnt the easiest patient as he acts out from fear of the vets office, but the Dr and staff gave him the best care and respect, all while treating the issue at hand. Not worthy of any star's but had to put one to post this . This vet is all about money and not about your furbaby. My pup at 3 months old had to be put down Oct 3 2016 for leptospirosis which he told me he did give my pup his" LIER" and when I went to him again today to show him proof that my new vet was pissed and my pup passed away cause this vet sucks and has no idea what he's talking about or just don't care. We need to trust are vet specially when it comes to are furbabies and you can't with him. All you see is dollar sign's in his eyes not love for your pets he for sure is giving Dr Branton a bad name with it still on the sign. Hate this doctor and will do everything possible to make it none to everyone I know. He says the shots for lepto will protect he's lying there are so many strains its impossible to protect them and us humans can get it and there is no shots here in Canada that gives them out. Oh yea one more thing his staff sucks as well not on the ball with anything besides sitting on their butt's

I've been bringing my 3 cats here for a few years and they're so helpful! My one cat has anxiety issues and they discussed options with me in depth. Another cat needed emergency dental surgery, but then due to him having a chest infection it had to be delayed for him to take medication. I was told his follow up appt would be free due to this being an unexpected expense, and the cost to put him under again would be covered when a future dental surgery is scheduled. all of this was explained to me so well and I was assured that it was for the safety of my pet. The vet also called a couple times for follow up, which made me feel good about them really caring. I've also been given discounts when bringing in multiple pets at the same time to get their shots.

I saw him yesterday. Brought my 11 year old dog in and I can tell he (the vet) was a very caring man. I’m so glad I decided on this location. 1 day later and my dogs knee n hip is already feeling better. I agree with other people who have commented he is not all about the money.

My cats are used to an American vet. Im married to a Canadian and moved my cats here. The doctor is wonderful with the animals. He talks on your level so you can understand whats going on and I felt, as a medical personal myself, he was quite thorough. Im not sure about cost comparison in the area. My husband has used this Dr for years and has always been pleased. The staff is pleasant. For the diagnosis and therapy I needed for my elderly cat ???? ♥ , I was content with all the service.

I have been taking my cat Baley to see the vet here for the last week or so and he has been receiving the best care. Everyone at this practice is very nice, and clearly love animals. I find the prices to be very fair, and the vet is very honest and will do his best to get you answers. They are very responsive and when I had to leave Baley overnight they called me with several updates before they left and called me first thing in the morning when his results came in. Thank you for helping me take care of my big buddy.

We got a puppy and 2 days later he had a very serious condition that needed emergency treatment within hours or sadly the puppy wouldn’t make it. I called around the city talking to multiple vets and he was the first one to take on this challenging operation within hours of me calling. He gave me his personal number if I had any questions or concerns during evening hours. Our puppy is fully recovering, happy and healthy as can be. Me and my family are beyond thankful. He was so kind, informative and very realistic about the severity and possible outcomes. He even called to follow up on the puppy multiple times. We are forever grateful to this amazing dr and staff!

Stepember 13 2019 my dog took her first seizure it started at night around 9 after she was done having it she was ok until about 6 in the morning on stepember 14 2019 as soon as they were open he told me to bring Luna we got into the vet & she went into a seizure he stopped everything he was doing to help her he ran some test he put her on seizure medicine I brought her home everything was okay we even took a nap and then as the hours went by she went into other seizure I called my best friend crying saying it's happening again she called the vet because I couldn't talk because I knew deep down in my heart it wouldn't be good his vet was closed he took the time to come to my house and MAKE sure Luna was ok because it wasn't about NOBODY BUT HER he showed up out of his kindness he sat with her for about 45 minutes before even thinking about putting her down he keept giving her medicine & nothing was working it keept turning for the worse he watched my heart break for the first time & when he said Sara it's time I was mad because I knew I would never be able to hold Luna again I went with him because I knew it would be the best thing for her as we got to the vet it was still about Luna because he didn't care about paper work all he cared about if me and her were gonna be okay I thank you for everything you done for us with out you I wouldn't be able to do it alone .

Brought my elderly cat here when she got cancer. Super friendly reception staff and the vet clearly cares about the animals. He explained everything very well, he made sure I understood everything fully when talking about treatment and surgeries and probabilities, he easily could have swayed me into more treatments and surgeries but was straight up with me. Unfortunately, I had a very terrible experience at this vet; it was my first time, and I will never be going back. First of all, the male vet was INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional; he very clearly did not want to be there, would barely answer my questions (kept trying to push me out the door), took one look at my dog and said then said she was “fine” but then I go to check out and the receptionist gives me anti biotics….He NEVER told me he was even giving me anti biotics, let alone HOW or WHEN to use them. The price was ridiculous, which is expected of vets, but at least give quality service if you are going to charge that much. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Never going back to this vet.

I have been a client of Branton Hospital since the previous owner. Quite recently, our beloved Sheppard Zion started acting a bit off. We took her in to see Dr. Bidlon He ran several tests and it was determined that she was gravely ill and quite possibly poisoned. She remained at the clinic that day with Dr. Bidlon and his crew and they kept excellent contact with me as things developed. He was sincerely comforting and straight forward with his findings and in the end, during after hours, he allowed my children and husband and I to come and spend some time with her before helping her to cross the rainbow bridge. This Veterinarian is doing exactly what he has been called to do. It is very evident that he is passionate about his work, committed to providing the best possible care for his patients and is not money hungry, but very fair and accommodating. We also have had other pets in his care and each time it is the very same. I will never take my pets any where else as long as he is still practicing. His assistants are very sweet as well. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new Vet. Thank you Dr. Bidlon and staff for all that you did for us <3

We are fairly new patients at Branton, but have already needed to see Dr. Bidlon several times due to a string of unanticipated health issues with our cat, rescued from a shelter in Dec. 2020. The Branton team have been very kind to us, and Dr. Bidlon is a very caring veterinarian. We will do everything within our means to care for our kitty, but we are students and just can’t afford all best options for her, as the cause of some of her symptoms remains unexplained, and further testing is expensive. Far from pushing for extra dollars like some vets do, Dr. Bidlon has been very understanding of our financial stresses. He has reassured us that we are still good and loving pet owners despite what we can’t afford, and had gone out of his way to make treatment affordable for us in the ways that he can. He is very good with our pet and has been transparent with us about all of our options. Although Branton is not a super cheap hospital, the prices are perfectly reasonable and are comparable to the costs at other hospitals I have been with for previous pets. I trust the vet and staff here (which is so important during COVID when you can not attend all appointments with your pet) and would recommend Dr. Bidlon to anyone who values integrity and compassion in a veterinarian and is looking to ensure that their pet is in safe and loving hands.
