The staff are really sweet and kind. I took my dog there for a second opinion and saved money. They are reasonable. I would recommend them. I am happy. Dr. Malhi takes care of my pets and I trust him! The only thing is I’d like to see a federal program or loyalty program. I go every two weeks for my dogs nails and I’d love to a value added service like this done for free when your dog gets allot of other things done. Just a suggestion.

I have been a client for almost 7 years. I have never missed a scheduled appointment with my dog, accepted all of their recommendations and paid for services before Emma and I left the building. Emma was bit by a big dog and needed the puncture wound looked at. I called for an emergency appointment and was told that the earliest she could be seen by the vet was in 5 days. I guess having a big puncture wound is not an emergency. I was told that they are not operating an emergency clinic and I needed to go to a clinic that offered those services. I pressed that I was a loyal client and was basically told that they would not accommodate Emma. So what kind of service is that? I am very confident that any pet owner who had a routine appointment scheduled would be happy to re-schedule so an emergency can be handled. Poor service, non professional, doesn’t care about clients. I will be asking for Emma’s records so we can go to a vet that cares about animal welfare

WORST PET HOSPITAL EVER. They added insecticide to my bill when I only brought my pet there for rabies. They refused to give me a refund cuz medicines are not allowed to be refunded under the law. I ended up paying for much more than I was supposed to. They don't care about the health of the pets and would fool their clients for money.

South Point Pet Hospital has been the Pet Hospital of voice for our two cats Copper and Onyx since we adopted them in May 2009. The first appointment that we booked was with Dr. Grubac and we hit the JACKPOT. She is the most knowledgeable, carrying, professional doctor you could ever meet. She looks after our cats like nobody else could and loves them like they are family - and after 12 years they have become a part of her patient family. Even so our cats don't like leaving the house or going on car rides, they are very comfortable when getting to the clinic and being looked after by Grubac and all the Hospital Staff. We have referred friends to South Point and the feedback that i got from my friends was as positive as can be. If you look for a place that is 100% dedicated, loves animals, has faire prices, is able to see you most of the times on short notice and gets the diagnosis right, go to South Point Pet Hospital.

It has been a few years now that we've taken our pets to this location. It has been nothing but positive since dealing with Dr. Grubac (hope I spelled that right, my wife usually takes the dogs in). She has been open and upfront during every interaction. She actually emotes caring for our pets as if they were her own. Even when she could have taken advantage of us because we didn't know what was medically needed, she told us the truth and saved us money by suggesting the less expensive alternative - which was truly the best decision. You really don't hear that very much these days. I wanted to take a moment to leave a review about her service and care. She is authentic and very kind. If you're really considering a new veterinary then she is one you will want to visit and then pray never ever leaves the city once you realize what I am saying here is true. Thank you for helping us with out pets Dr. G!

I am not completely impressed. I have been a few times and I often get the feeling that if you aren’t too knowledgeable about your dog’s needs or condition ( most people aren’t) you will pay dearly for it. I went today and my check up fee and meds were completely miscommunicated. I was told that it would cost approximately $39.00, for a check up, $19.99, for a vaccination and $19.99, for a prescription by the Vet tech. That would have been approximately $80.00 + taxes. At the end, the Vet tech made an error on the med cost and I got charged for a consultation and not a check up. I left with a $140.00 bill. I know that my dog needs her meds and her shot, but being charged a consultation charge to listen to her heart and look into her eyes for $60.00 instead of the check up price is just cheap, especially when it is not communicated. Plus the bet pushes pet insurance and the carrier that the Vet is suggesting “trupanion” has a terrible reputation. I want to find a Vet that I feel more comfortable with. I have visited them a few times and this is the second time that they have pushed financial boundaries. One time they gave an estimate for $800.00 to see what was making my dog sick. I know what made her sick as this has been the case for her for years and the reason she gets ill is when she eats rotten meat( found on the street or in garbage). That visit they tried to push several test and lab cultures on me. I put my foot down and said “no” and insisted on antibiotics. Within a day she was back to normal and the meds cost $15.00. Beware, it is not comfortable to feel so hyper vigilant when you are already feeling valunerable.

Incredible vet! The doctors and staff at South Point Pet Hospital are extremely caring and knowledgeable. I have been coming here for years to ensure that my aging Labrador retriever was healthy all the way through. When it was time to say goodbye to my dog a few months ago, the staff took all the steps to ensure the process was as smooth as possible. They even sent a card with a personalized message after we had put our beloved dog down. They truly care. 1000% Recommend✅✅✅✅✅

Sorry this will be bit long to explain the story. I am not one to leave poor reviews but they way the receptionist behaved was a bit too much for me. It was my first time coming to this clinic after recently moving to the area. I called to set up our first exam and also told them on the phone I was bringing some government forms I needed signed by the vet so I could fly my dog to Costa Rica. I had my appointment at the government office in abbotsford right after the appointment with them. I arrived at the vet 15 min early to fill out all the paperwork and asked the receptionist if we could finish the exam within 20 min so I could make it to abbotsford on time. The receptionist said she was not aware of the paperwork that I needed signed and told me "ah well no its supposed to be a 30 min exam" so I asked if they could make an exception and cut it 10 min short. I have worked at vet offices and have NEVER heard of a 30 min exam time. I continued to tell her if they couldn't finish it in time I may not make it to the government office on time and would not be able to take my dog on the trip. She wasn't willing at all. The vet came in examined my dog for FIVE MINUTES and said he would fill the paperwork out and send me on my way. So I don't know what this lady was talking about for this 30 min exam. Anyways, continued I arrived to the government office and the paperwork had been signed in the wrong spot! I obviously was frustrated and called South Point Pet Hospital to tell them what had happened. They said I had to come back that day and they would fill out the form again but I had to go to work and couldn't come back. It was friday and I said I could come early monday morning before my flight. The receptionist proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay another $60 exam fee and see their other vet. I said that was ridiculous I wasn't going to pay again when it was their mistake for signing the form wrong?! I asked to speak to the veterinarian because this receptionist had been passive aggressive from the start and I was almost in tears of frustration.The vet never called me back. After a few hours the receptionist called back and told me they would not charge another exam fee but it was already too late. I made an appointment at South Surrey Veterinary Clinic and they were amazing, had all my forms ready before I even got there. I went back to the clinic and was going to tell her how unreasonable she was being, but of course, she wasn't there and I informed the other staff members I wouldn't be back. Everyone else there was so sweet including the vet, but I was not about to deal with someone like that on a regular basis because we travel with my dog a lot. So ALL IN ALL I ended throwing that money in the garbage and had to pay it all again at a new clinic.

Usually our go-to for pet food because it’s close to our regular restaurants. However, trying to go through a complex (and extremely arrogant) process to try to arrange payment from outside (without a wireless payment machine) was more than a waste of time...not to mention their willingness to take my credit card or phone out of sight to tap for me. I have been to a number of vets and retail pet stores (and am fully averse with COVID risks and procedures) but this was a ridiculous application of safety protocol.

We have travelled from downtown Vancouver for over a decade just to see the same veterinarian here. We wouldn't consider using for a more convenient-to-downtown location as her consistent level of care, compassion and 'bed side' manner are absolutely wonderful. Support staff retention also says a lot about this great business... They have known my 14 year old dog since her first shots and always remember her when we come in.

I am a Chinese mom theirs old Client, A lady manager was dishonest about the truth of a wrong bill, also she was Rude short patient even did not let me explain, the front desk was not speaking the truth either, then manager kept saying to me ( in front of my 4 years daughter “just leave I don’t like you Leave! Leave here! just leave here!” My little girl was scared we had no choice just sadly left. my girl cried and scared after She Out of the door. We contacted South Point Hospital as our dog was very ill. I conveyed that we were clients and that our very elderly dog (almost 18 years of age) was not well. We were not sure if it was his time but were very concerned. I was very upset and in tears during the call and was informed by a staff member that the vet on duty was leaving for the day but she would speak to the emergency vet coming in for another client. She promised a call back. We never did receive a call back. We were very upset and needless to say disappointed with their lack of compassion and client follow up at such at such a difficult time. In the future we will take our family pets elsewhere. It is truly a shame that South Point Pet Hospital has responded in this manner, stating that we were never clients. We have the paperwork and the paid invoices providing confirmation that we were clients - and for many years. I posted this review 10 months ago and South Point Pet Hospital has only made a pathetic effort to respond in the last week. Very disappointed.

Jan 15 .In to purchase urinary s/o Royal canin cat food. There cost including taxes was $55+. 3 yrs my cat has been needing this and I have picked it in various vet clinics and they all charge the one tax because it is a perscription. My vet has retired and thus far have not found the clinic I want to use for my 4 pets. I did not take it went to All Creatures on Croydon across from PetSmart. This is where I usually go and their cost was $47+! That is significantly less. South point said because I do not use their services, though my name had been put in their system in the past by a staff member.
