New to town so I wasn't a patient of theirs. I needed medicine for ticks and they were incredibly difficult to deal with. Very cold when I went to buy them also very expensive compared to other vets I've worked with. They won't be my local veterinarian that's for sure.

We took our girls here for their annual check up and vaccines, we have been on the look out for a vet that gives us the time and information to best care for our dogs for quite some time. West Niagara animal hospital is wonderful! They are a small, cozy vet office where they make sure to give you and your pet the best care and service. Dr. Hardy is extremely knowledgeable, patient and cares about her patients health and wellbeing.

Can not say enough wonderful things about all the staff here. Doctors, technicians and administration all work as a team that seems more like a big family. They go out of their way with personal service. You'd be hard pressed to find a more down to earth caring clinic.

Called for an emergency appointment, since I was not a client the secretary decided sending me another 30 minutes further was acceptable. I did not. I wonder if the actual vet would have condoned this ???? I was clear my pet was unable to stand and was blacking out. I think or atleast hope most vets would not care if you were or were not a client and just said come in. Thanks but no thanks will I or could I recommend calling a place like this if your pet was in need.

Took my pup Remington there for the first time recently. The staff were very pleasant, and the vet was great when she called to discuss his appointment. The process was quick and ran smoothly (can't go inside due to covid), and Remington came back to very happy. Recommend this vet for any of your animals needs.

Sad to say, I gave West Niagara a second shot! Years ago I had a bad experience and never went back. Being local since 1988, I thought I would give them another shot! My current vet took a year off as he had medical family issues to take care of. So here I am in a bad situation! My pug Annie 14 years old was in need. I knew it was time to let her go! During a very emotional time, I called West Niagara to ask for help to have her put to sleep and cremation! In tears, I was given a quote. Then she asked me when I would like to come in. Told her today or tomorrow! Her reply. I'm sorry we don't have an opening for a week and half to 2 weeks. You're kidding me! You just asked me when I wanted to come, as my dog is dying! Sad that 5 MINUTES could not have been alloted for my dying dog! At a time that is very hard for pet owners, you would think 5 minutes would be accommodating! I breed pugs and I probably would have become a great customer. This was the worst experience ever! I'm sorry we can't lay your dog to rest! Annie passed away on her own at 1035 the following morning. So I was 100 percent right on her needs! Ty to West Niagara for another TERRIBLE experience! I would think your staff would be a little understanding when a pet owner is crying on the other end!? Lost my business and referrals! From a heartbroken pet owner!

If I could give 6 stars I would! We have been going to West Niagara Animal Hospital for about 15 years and it was always good - but it rose to Exceptional when Dr. Melissa Hardy took over! We've never had such incredible care for our dogs. Dr. Hardy is a very gifted and knowledgeable Vet who truly loves her profession and her mostly 4-legged customers. We recently had to say good-bye to one of our dogs and Dr. Hardy was there every step of the way - she went above and beyond to provide help during the illness and at the end when we had let our beloved dog go (and the love & care from the rest of the staff was exceptional as well); then beyond that there was a very thoughtful sympathy card from everyone at West Niagara AND they also made a donation on behalf of our dog to Ontario Veterinary College Trust Fund. We feel truly blessed to be able to take our dogs to West Niagara Animal Hospital!

I absolutely love the vet techs reception and vet at west Niagara. We have only been here for a short couple months but already feel at ease that our puppy is being taken care of. Especially during covid times they have been beyond accommodating and answered all my questions over the phone while my pup was with them.

We found west Niagara Animal hospital online.. we needed someone to come to our house as our dog is older and has seizures when he leaves our property. Dr.Hardy came out to our house with an assistant ( sorry can’t remember her name ) . They both walked in sat on the floor and started to play with our dog. The 2 ladies treated our dog like he was their own pet. He wasn’t just another dog in the day of work. They are the only vet I will deal with for now on for him. I would recommend this clinic to anyone any day.

Dr. Hardy and West Niagara Animal Hospital have been amazing. Dr. Hardy performed a complex surgery and saved our dog's ear from a coyote attack. We are planning to fly with our dog overseas and Dr. Hardy has gone above and beyond with helpful advice and current information on requirements for travel.
