Our family are first-time dog owners, and this place was the best. I did a lot of research beforehand, decided on this clinic based on reviews and testimonials from friends, and we had our first wellness check-up this past Monday. We met with Dr. Kathleen, and she was so knowledgeable, so friendly, I asked a billion questions, and not once did I feel rushed or that I was asking too much or anything negative. She was so lovely with my new puppy, and most importantly in my opinion, I felt like I had a new support system for our new furry family member. What a relief. Shout out to Chelsea as well, who has greeted us a few times now as we come into the clinic. What a good feeling to be greeted so incredibly warmly. I am extremely happy with my decision to come here and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a vet and a wonderful system of support.

Walked in and asked to have my cat put down immediately. They agreed we needed to. Charged me a $250 "consultation" fee on top of the euthanasia charges. Total cost was $400.

We have four pets that see Laurelwood. One cat who requires regular visits for diabetes. The staff are all wonderful. They go above and beyond to care for the animals. When we lost one of our cats suddenly the staff were all super supportive. You can see they care for the animals and their human clients. Definitely recommended!

Their service and staff here is amazing. We had to put ourdog down and they handled it amazingly. There is a comfort room where the euthanization occurs and a separate exit so you don't have to go thru the lobby after the event. Will continue going there for my other pets.

All the staff at Laurelwood are professional, kind, compassionate and genuinely care about animals. I have been bringing my dog since she was a puppy to them, and she loves her visits. Angela in grooming is awesome, and does a great job on nail trims on my skittish dog. Dr Knight delivers honest and straightforward feedback, and is gentle and sweet with my pup. The staff in the boarding service take good care of their canine visiters...with cute updates and lots of play time, I know my dog is in good hands while we are away. I am really grateful for the team here and the service I've recieved over the past several years!

The staff at Laurelwood are wonderful. We've been with them with 3 dogs, and they've done a great job with all of them. They were with us when we had to have our first dog put to sleep, and everyone was exceptionally respectful and compassionate. Our current pair of dogs are well looked after, and the staff makes a point to try to make them comfortable in an unfamiliar situation.

Both of kittens go here for check ups. Also had good experience and highly recommend this place NEW Updates... I have very mixed feeling about this place after my neutered cat made our female cat pregnant after the surgery. I have called the place after suspecting our female cat was pregnant and asked if it’s possible for a newly neutered cat to impregnate a female cat. The vet claimed it’s not possible since they have removed everything. And claimed it must happened before the surgery or our cat got out. We know our female cat didn’t go into heat before the surgery and our cats don’t go out at all.... Now we are with another Vetarinary clinic and the vet here claimed there is a very small chance that a newly neutered cat could still make a female cat pregnant.....

This place is amazing. Two months ago exactly, my boxer Lola passed away. Unfortunately it was on a Saturday night very late that we figured out we had to put our baby down and they couldn't do it and we had to go to the emergency vet. Even though it wasn't them who put her down, they sent a lovely hand written card signed by everyone saying that they knew how much she meant to us, etc. It made me tear up. Lola hated her vet before this one, even though we only went to them for a year before this vet. Lola LOVED Laurelwood's vet, they would give her a treat for everything good that she did, she would pull me in the door when she saw where we we're. They treated her like royalty and did amazing for the surgery's that she needed done. We currently have another boxer as well named Luke. I just took Luke to them a little bit after Lola's passing to get his shot updated. They put treats on the ground for him and he didn't even notice the needle whatsoever! Please please please go to this vet if you're trying to choose between vets right now. They're warm hearted, kind and greatly priced! They actually care so much about your animals and it's not just all about the money to them! Thank you laurelwood vet for being so kind to my two precious babies!

My experience at Laurelwood has been fantastic. Two of my cats have been treated there, one of them in a life-threatening situation, and the staff's genuine concern and attention really impressed me. They've gone out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and aware of everything and to ensure our furry family members recovered fully without our wallets taking more of a hit than necessary. Additionally they are in a gorgeous location, far away from commuter traffic routes.

On October 16th 2020 I brought my dog in because he became very ill and presented clear problems that something was very wrong. Not knowing what to do I relied completely on the vets recommendation to do a urine test only to find out after the fact from other experts that they should have also performed a blood test with his symptoms. By not performing a blood test my dog lost 2 vital days that would have showed he was in acute kidney failure. On the Sunday when he was not improving I got him into Cambridge Emergency Vet who immediately performed the blood test to confirm his diagnosis. Later on the Sunday I transfered him to University of Guelph OVC where he held on being treated for 5 days at great expense to myself to try and save his life. He had contracted leptospirosis so those 2 days lost not getting the proper treatment really could have made the difference. This is the second time I have felt Laurelwood vet mishandled a treatment for my dog with the first being a series of bladder infections as a puppy. If you care about your pet find another vet. I lost my best friend, he was a 4 year old lab mix who was has healthy as he could be. As an edit I would like to add that the vet followed up with me with a call after this review and tried to downplay my dogs symptoms stating he was walking fine and wagging his tail so it must not have been that bad on the Friday. This is so far from the truth

Top notch all around service! Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Even when we do not have an appointment Zeus and I are always greted by name and he knows if he goes to say hi to them there is treats waiting for him. We have all our Veterinary needs taken care of at Laurelwood anf they have always beem very accommodating of my schedule. They always take the time to ensure we understand the procedures, home care, and they are always a phone call away for any questions or concerns. Angela always does an amazing job with grooming Zeus and she is just as excited to see him as he is to see her. They also have a great, clean boarding facility and Zeus always comes back tired from his stays. Very satisfied with the amount of love and attention they give him which is included in the costs. Will continue to come back and continue to recommend people to Laurelwood for any Veterinary /Grooming /Boarding Services!

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I've never met anyone on their staff that hasn't been extremely kind. The doctors AND front desk staff give their jobs 110%. Whenever we pull up, my dog starts crying in the car from joy, begging me to go inside already - that's gotta be a good sign! Plus, whenever you call with a concern they tend to give you a call a few days later to follow up and see how your pet is doing - I appreciate that so much. Thank you guys!!!

I've been dealing with Laurelwood Boarding for the past year. Each and every time I walked in there with my dog they greet us by name. These past 2 weeks, Brick has been in and out of there because of last minute changes in our schedules and random people filtering throughout our house due to to renovations. Could not love this place more!!! My puppy was neutered here and treated for a parasite and all of his care has been exceptional. The staff are so knowledgeable, friendly and kind - you can tell they sincerely love their jobs and care about animals. My cat went through a massive life-threatening health ordeal last year. Laurelwood was incredible. They were so supportive and answered any questions I had. I am very happy with choosing Laurelwood Vet hospital to be my Rottweiler's vet. He has been going there for few years since he was a puppy but more recently he got diagnosed with Epilepsy :( Laurelwood Vets have been great for providing advice and care and making me feel better about the whole situation as well. Dr. Sean Roberts has been the primary vet that my boy has been seeing and he has been great! My dog is a big boy and can be a bit difficult to deal with but Dr. Roberts has been great in understanding him. Also, have had consults with Dr. Knight who has also been great and put my mind at ease. If you're looking for a good vet hospital, Laurelwood is highly recommended!

Laurelwood vet have been taking care of our dog and two cats for three years and the care has been fantastic. We recently boarded our dog here for five days and she was clearly loved on and cared for. She came back extremely happy and bouncy and in a great mood. We also get her groomed here and she always comes back smelling and looking lovely. Everyone who works here, from the admin team to the nurses to the vets to the boarders to the groomers treat my pets like their own and you can't put a price on that.
