I brought both my cats here and had a predominantly pleasant experience with the service and the care shown to my pets. I chose this place initially because of its lower prices compared to other animal hospitals, and then continued to come after a series of overall good experiences. The cleanup after back to back client visits could be better, I’ve often found a lot of animal hair on the tables and chairs and even wetness on the chairs for clients. That’s why I didn’t give it the full 5 stars.

This was once a five star review, however, after taking my dog in-who was acting out of the ordinary-they cost us $1000 in blood tests, x-rays, etc & told us we needed to give her a leg surgery immediately. I felt forced into doing this, and I couldn’t help but feel that the vet was trying to make me feel guilty just to get money. I got second opinion at a different vet & they advised that my dog is NOT in need of a surgery. This happened two years ago, but still bothers me to this day, and I want the word to be out there that you don’t have to take the opinion of one vet. Do not sign any papers until you feel comfortable doing so.

I appreciate businesses using appropriate safety protocols. However this is the only business that makes you stand outside, all wearing masks, to explain the kind of cat food you need...when you are not positive and it would be easier and faster if I could just pick what I need, pay and go ... frustrating. I was the only person there so I just felt it was unnecessary. Probably go to another vet next time.

My grandmothers dog should have been put down 6 months before we did. The autopsy of our dog told us that she had fluid in her lungs for the most of the past year. My grandmother believed the vet when he said that she was fine but clearly looking at this dog, she was NOT ok. He kept running test after test - all pointless when she should have been put down. I'm sure my grandmother spent more than 7k on the dog just in tests in less than a year. This vet will run your bills without telling you what the test are for and what the treatment plan for your pet will be. Don't come here, it makes me so mad thinking about the suffering my dog went through.

I have a cat with an intestinal complicated situation, she was almost dead. They hospitalized her 4 days and with a lot of patience care and medical support she is recovering, I really appreciated their work and the dedication. It was not cheap but is there somewhere in Canada were you can find a cheap vet and also good vet?this is s good team and have the best specialist going there to support special needs.

Had to bring my boy, Aiden, in to have a lump on his paw examined and eventually had to be surgically removed. Dr. Sidhu performed the surgery and did a great job. The staff here was awesome and took care of him very well even though he was a little difficult. They even called to follow up and check up on him afterwards. Great place to bring your pets if you are in need of a vet.

Have been taking my cat here for years but when I picked him up from his dental cleaning he had been sitting in his carrier soaked in urine and when I picked him up yesterday from his lion cut which took 8 hours he had two cuts on his tail. There was one receptionist when I arrived and one person ahead of me so I sat and waited for my turn but then another client came in to pick up prescriptions walked to the front desk and was attended to first despite the fact that I had been waiting my turn. The level of front service has gone downhill. The one blonde front desk assistant had attitude with me and I was ok with driving out from Maple Ridge because I didn't want to have to change Vets because I liked Dr. Sindhu for my cat but I can't allow him or me to be neglected by his staff. Changing Vets now!

I have used this hospital for 19 years and Dr. Saran has looked after all my cats. They are caring and thorough. The ladies are super nice. It is a bit expensive but then, all vets here in BC are. A lovely and caring place to take your cat and dog. I totally trust them. Your pet will be well looked after for sure.

Getting information about my dog's condition was difficult. When I did get some, it was a technical article instead of an explanation so I could understand. I did not get to speak to the vet at all and was led to believe this was super serious and potentially life threatening. I went elsewhere and received fabulous service with loads of information that was easily understood. My dog's condition is not that horrifying. I have had all my questions, that this place could not answer, answered by my new vet, directly from my new vet! Even the new vet didn't get all the information needed but these people somehow came up with 8 pages of 'history' from 1 visit. I felt like a wallet and an annoyance to these people. I did not like this place or the people and couldn't wait to go elsewhere. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone and will warn against based on my experience. They aren't even worth a one star rating.

The receptionist, vet, vet tech, and clinic kitties are all so friendly. They also carry a bunch of vet certified products (Royal Canin and Hill's) for dogs and cats.

Met with Dr. Harpreet Sran for our first visit to Kensington Animal Hospital and was pleasantly surprised. He was very gentle with my senior cat, explained everything to us, listened patiently to all our questions. Over the years of vet visits, I have always found Vets to be a little 'disconnected' from the humans but Dr. Sran was very engaging and positive. I am happy to be a new client.

I put a picture of my black lab Monty, I thought it would go with my post at first. Dr. Sukhpinder is the most caring guy you could ask for. He saved my dogs life who 20/25 minutes before had eaten a box if rat poison. This was Oct. 12/16 so Monty has a few weeks to go to be clear. The office floor was covered in puke and it appears most of the poison came out. On top of a relief to be in skilled and most importantly caring hands, the bill was under $250 which included 3 injections and a prescription K1 that I'm presently administering. I have a lot of gratitude to the Dr. And all the staff. Thanks.

First visit for vaccine was catastrophic, they took my cat at the door waited 30 mins when she said 10, then hand me the cat and ask me to pay, didn't even tell me what they did how the exam went, did only 1/3 of what I took the appointment for, it was a real mess, wasn't professional at all ! I checked my cat health book, was hand written and didn't do leukemia, so I asked her to do it, she said he is too young since I insisted she went ask then cane back took the carrier and disapeered for another 30mins then handed him back made me pay. felt like I was poorly treat me and my cat.Called days after to know if they checked my cat, they said of course they did with an arrogant tone and everything was ok. 2nd time was more professional, but can't trust this hospital with this very bad experience. though they are cheaper than others but for poor service.

Got us in very short notice on the Sunday of a long weekend, when our regular vet was not available. Staff are exceptionally friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Rates are much more reasonable than our regular clinic, and both our dogs left very happy. We have officially made the switch, this is our new vet clinic!

Don't go here!! Dr Sukhpinder is a greedy crook who could care less about the well being of your pet. He doesn't see your pet as anything but dollar signs. Because if his geeed he almost killed our Bulldog puppy by suggesting invasive procedures and putting her on all the wrong meds. He never even called to check in. Meanwhile 3 vets later who were all appalled by the steroids he put her on and informed us to stop them immediately she ended up being admitted into critical care for 3 days on IV antibiotics. It was kennel cough which led to bronchopneumonia. All he had to do was a repeat chest x-ray to diagnose it and swab her and put her on the correct antibiotics. He didn't he ignored it for 2 weeks. Beware he doesn't deserve the star i gave him.

A year ago I brought my 14 year old cat in with jaundice. I rushed him to this hospital because it was on the way to the home we just bought and it was moving day. They charged me $700 to tell me what I already knew was wrong and then wanted to do more tests and keep him there and to eventually put him down? What would be the point of the tests then? Plus liver failure does not mean death if you treat immediately. I have raised many animals on a small hobby farm since childhood. I got mad demanded IV, medication and other supplies and got a lot of crazy looks. I paid them, brought him home and aggressively treated him myself over two weeks.I also had to buy liquid food and electrolytes on my own since they gave me bare minimum of what I would need to keep him going until the medication has time to heal the liver. He is now doing even better then he was before my now regular vet says he is shocked with how well he has recovered and he has no further health issues! These people are all about money and should be shamed!!!

They told me one price over the phone, then produced a quote at the time of the spay that was double and included a lot of extras I had said multiple times I did not need. Even without the extras, it was nearly $300 more than I was told. Even my friends with larger dogs did not pay that much. Lesson learned, get them to email the quote before you book.

The price for teeth cleaning were not accurate. It was quoted as $250 CAD but actually it didn't include IV treatments which was mandatory treatment when a dog was under general anaesthetic.

I called on a Friday & explained my dog's irritated skin, Ashley was extremely nice & cheerful. She also explained that the visit could be roughly $100. She booked me in for a Saturday. We were seen by Dr. Sran. At 1st glance, he thought it could either be mites or allergies. He explained that he'll be recommending some mite shampoo + ointment. There was some hesitation for the mite test, but he went ahead & performed it & as we suspected came back negative. I was then sent to pay the bill... When I received it, I was quite shocked. The bill was almost $280! This means they are charging $180.00 CAD for 60ml of Mite shampoo, and ointment. I'll never go back!

First time there, one member began the check up, I explained everything assuming it was the vet. He wrote nothing down... and left . Then I had the actual vet come Later and perform a quick and inadequate exam. Didn’t check the mouth or throat. I don’t think the statements I told the assistant got communicated. I took to my pet to emergency 1.5 days later and lost her. Makes me wonder if it could have had a different outcome if things were done better

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We took our cat here to be spayed as the SPCA had already set up the appointment for her. Her incision came undone a week later and took her back here to fix it. The vet told us they would take a look at it and you could hear from the back that our cat was clearly unhappy. She then comes back with her incision stapled without us being consulted or giving consent, AND without giving our cat any anesthetic!!! This is so incredibly wrong and immoral. I will definitely not be bringing my cat here for further visits and I strongly suggest to avoid this place.

I took my 1 year old cat here to get deworming and shots less than a week ago, completely healthy as per the vet. Today he is throwing up and acting lethargic as well as hiding and crying like he is in pain. I called the clinic as I feel this is an emergency as past pets of mine have HD things things as blood clots etc but I was told that this hospital has 0 time for me and that they are in fact NOT an emergency clinic so even tho it says online that they take emergencies during clinic hours that is INCORRECT. They told me to go elsewhere and they would send over his. Info
