Just ok. 2 and 1/2 stars. Store selection is similar to most other Bosley's we have visited, which is good. Their staff is rather lazy though, based on our first impressions of this place. The two clerks working there on Monday the 1st of April, young guy and girl, seemed "glued" to their locations, by the register. Didn't ask if we needed any help etc... We are big fans from Bosley's in Nanaimo, where we moved from, and there, the customer service was always first rate. They could work on it, here in Victoria. We also noted that they have their "sampler" bags of dog and cat kibble for sale here, not free. These were always a giveaway for customers, at other Bosley stores we've visited, as they don't pay for them. This seemed really cheap and rather tacky. First impressions last. We might be back for the products, but not expecting much from staff, unless they have others who are more customer oriented.

Bosleys has lots og good quality options like cage free grain free treats and other quality wet foods too. Would get 5 stars except sometimes out of stock on what I'm in looking for. Otherwise I'd recommend them over all other pet stores :)

The most uninformed Bosley's location. Not able to keep product in stock or tell when it's coming in. Have had multiple bad experiences with staff, at only this location. I avoid going here unless I have no other choice. All other Bosley's are great.

I had the best experience at Bosley’s this morning in Chantelle’s store. She and her employee were hospitable, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I found exactly what I was looking for, was greeted immediately as I entered the store, and the dynamic of the store was warm, inclusive, and inviting. I also really appreciated both of the ladies enthusiasm and genuine passion for Bosley’s advocacy efforts for the Koala Bears who have been displaced and effected by the wildfires in Australia and their consistent efforts to raise funds for this philanthropic cause. Thank you for a bright start to my morning ladies. You are doing an excellent job and put a huge smile on my face!! Keep up the amazing service and hard work.

I have been shopping here for about 4 years, and I honestly don't think I've ever seen a better pet store. The people working here are extremely knowledgeable, both about the foods they carry, and about pets (at least cats, I'd assume the same is true for dogs). They are also very friendly, and always happy to answer questions. The store has a great selection of premium quality cat food, priced competitively, as well as a good variety of litters. One thing I appreciate is that they often make a habit of steering you to those products that offer excellent value for their money, rather than attempting to upsell. Very highly recommended!

Came here to get some cat litter last Sunday. The customer service rep I had (Annalise?) was unpleasant from the get go, bad mouthed other pet stores for selling filler foods (thanks for shaming low income pet owners in doing so) and when I mentioned in passing that my brother had worked at that store, she told me he faked having COVID symptoms to get time off and then quit. I was very taken aback considering I personally urged my brother not to go to work after having a fever, and furthermore, in what world is that okay to say to someone’s family member, or to anyone? I decided to leave my items and told her I’d go somewhere else, at which point she waved me away, “You’re free to do that.” I brought this up to the young woman at the door and she was equally flippant. I just wanted to buy cat litter, but I will not be returning without an apology from this store manager. Regardless of what the communication was between them and my brother, you don’t throw around those accusations in a polite conversation, and you don’t badmouth past employees to the public.

Decent selection and very clean store. Helpful staff- but almost...too helpful? Well-meaning but every time I have gone in, I get unsolicited advice about something I didn't even ask about, and during this pandemic when I ask for an item they always seem to suggest something else. Not being able to shop by myself makes it difficult to just get what I came for without feeling redirected. They might need to remember they are selling pet supplies, not registered veterinarian advice.

It depends on when I go to Bosley's. I do not like going there on weekends, as the music is always blaring and the staff "sings along with whomever" and out of tune!!! However, the selection of food that our cats need is excellent and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The best time to go is during the week -- not Saturday or Sunday. UPDATE!!! The situation in this store is greatly improved on weekends . The manager now works on Saturday and the previous staff is no longer there.

The only thing I would say about Bosley's in general is that the rabbit supplies are pretty limited. It would be nice to see a larger range of rabbit structures and toys, and some local hay or at least brands other than Oxbow.

Amazing! I can not stress enough that yes the prices and selection are awesome but the staff provide probably the best customer experience I've had walking into any retail store. Unfortunately my chip was damaged in my card, and unfortunately my bank wasn't helpful outside if issuing me a new card. Of course I was picking up food for my kitten so it was a very stressful/embarassing situation. But the staff were very patient, kind, and in the end offered to pay for my kittens food. After just getting horrible news about my health it was such a gruesome day. So the staff showing that bit of kindness really made my day in a way they'll never realize.

As a concerned dog owner, I asked the clerk at this location how to tell grain free dog foods from non-grain free. The clerk immediately tiraded against the recent news publications of links to dogs suffering from heart failure due to being fed grain free diets dayig "oh those aren't even scientifically based" ... etc. I told him I simply wanted to find non-grain free dogfood, not get into a debate. But for what it's worth, we fed our dog Ziggy grain free Go brand dog food for years. He was diagnosed with DCM (Dialated cardio myelopathy) at age 8 and died at age 10 due to his illness. We had to put him down since his heart was twice it's normal size. He was a chiweenie and weighed 12 lbs. Wont be buying dog food from bosleys again and definitely switching to non-grain free do foods for our other 2 dogs. Boselys is losing my years of business. And for what it's worth, the news about DCM and grain free dog diets is conducted by the US Food and Drug Administration, and is ongoing. The warning has been issued to preemptively let pet owners know of the risk they are clearly finding before the study is complete to save dogs.

Unusual for a Victoria business many which seem to have never heard of good customer service. Well done boys and much appreciated.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our dog after 11 years quite suddenly about 2 weeks ago. We spent thousands of dollars at this franchise (and much at this location). When we tried to take 3 unopened bags of treats back for a credit / refund, we were told that without a receipt (not sure who keeps receipts for their ongoing resupply of dog treats), we could only receive a credit, which seems reasonable. When I asked how long the credit was valid for, I was told that day - we had to pick something else. Not sure how that makes any sense at all since it will likely be a while before we get another pet. I wrote an email to their head office as they track all purchases in their inventory system and I had another issue with the Oak Bay location, but have not heard back from them in over a week. Our next pet will not be receiving anything from Bosley's or the Pet Valu group.
