The whole team at West Boulevard Vet Clinic is excellent! Always professional and thoughtful while still being fun, friendly and endlessly helpful. We miss Dr. Potter but Dr. Rurak is AWESOME - she's taken care of our dogs for many years; she's extremely intelligent, an excellent veterinarian, and a ton of fun. We have just seen Dr. Salomon a couple of times with our Sheltie and she's been terrific too - detailed, diligent, caring and thoughtful. Really love this clinic and everyone there.

Saw Dr. Salomon, she handled my sometimes nervous and aggressive pup wonderfully. My golden retriever is a 5 year old grump and although nervous during the physical exam, he did wonderfully with her. She has a calm and understanding aura that relaxed him, something very few people have been able to do. Would definitely return for her services, and 100% recommend this clinic and Dr. Salomon. This clinic is everything you want for your rabbit. Not only they were among the first ones to have a RHDV2 vaccine ready after the outbreak, they have been nothing but compassionate and caring. Archie was neutered a few days ago, and even though I was really worried about the surgery, everything went so great. They kept him there all day and when we picked him up, he was fully awake and already eating and pooping. His recovery is going as smoothly as I could ever imagine. They even called us the next day asking how he was doing, which proves they truly care about the animals they treat. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

WBVC has been taking care of our pets ever since the seventies. That includes four dogs and six cats. We've never had anything but the best experience with Janne and Sarah and the rest of the vets and staff who we've gotten to know over the years, most recently Erin. Last week, on Christmas eve, our Yorkie Lizzie gobbled down a spoonful of potato salad heavily laden with raw onions, and we were very worried. I sent an email on Christmas morning to the clinic and within a few minutes Sarah replied with helpful information and got us through the "crisis" AOK. What she told us was far more helpful than anything I found posted on the web. I don't know why, but these kinds of crises always occur around holidays. It was so kind of Sarah to help us out.

The Front Desk Staff is very friendly and easy going. They don’t make a fuss if you are running a few minutes late. They try and accommodate you as best they can when that happens. These guys are my long-time vet for my three dogs: a 15 year old granny eskie, a 2 year old male samoyed and — the newest addition the the family — a 10 week old female samoyed . They don't fuss about and they dont rush you. I've called them while panicked many times and they understood my worries as a pet owner. They only have one brand of petfood but they dont push you into buying it. Also I have heard that many vets dont recommend raw carnivore diet for dogs but these guys are a-ok with it.

Honestly this is the best vet in the entire city. I take my bunny Finn here and they are incredible with him. For reference, rabbits are considered "exotic" pets so a typical vet normally doesn't know how to treat them but they have bunny saavy vets at West Boulevard and it shocked me how knowledgable and thorough they were with Finn the first time they met him. My last vet would have me in and out within minutes and I always left feeling less confident than when I went in despite them being "rabbit saavy". Dr. Rurak is gentle, knowledgable and patient. They go out of their way to be as accomodating as possible which is awesome for me as I work excessive hours (16 hours, 3-4 times a week) and they are not in it for the money. When I contact them and ask if something warrants an appointment, I get an honest answer. I couldn't be more thankful for them.

My partner and I had a 3 year old pomchii of which he had a nasty cough that was reoccurring over his 3 year period. We brought him here 3 times, each time we were told he had kennel cough, so we spent roughly 200$ three times to get him into a vet and to get his medication, totaling around 600$. Well he still had a horrendous cough that wouldnt go away no matter what medication was prescribed by the vet. A Couple days ago, he was taken to a different vet and we found out that he actually has an allergy to pollen. So out of the 600$ that we spent, it cost 100$ to find out he has an allergy, opposed to the 600$ this place milked from us for medication our dog DID NOT NEED. Do NOT recommend. Do NOT go here. Get a SECONDARY VETERINARY OPINION ELSEWHERE before following any recommendations from this veterinary clinic.

Every single person at West Boulevard is exceptional! Dr. Sarah is amazing - I swear our pet rabbit actually likes vet visits since we started seeing her :) By fluke we found this place when a mini emergency ocurred on a stat holiday and almost all other rabbit specific vets were closed - now I can't imagine going back to our previous vet. I never feel rushed, or silly for coming in even if it turns out I've been overly cautious in booking an appointment. Everyone at WBVC has shown genuine interest and compassion when it comes to Buster's well being (and mine for that matter) and that alone makes such a huge difference. When it comes to specific treatments, diagnosis, prescriptions, etc. there is always a myriad of options and considerations and a willingness to discuss and answer any/all questions and concerns. WBVC is a top notch clinic all around! If you're searching for a vet, don't go anywhere else - this is the best team you could hope for!

Cats have been a part of our household for more than 30 years, with this clinic providing care for all of them. Four of the six cats required no more than vaccinations and an annual routine check-up, but two had significant health problems. All our cats received individual attention and health care from the veterinarians and all staff. The clinic provides medical expertise, love for the individual animals, and information for the animals' human families about options available - this was true for us and other families. As new vets and staff joined the clinic, they honed their skills in delivering the same approach to veterinary practice that originally brought us to the clinic. We have no hesitation providing an "exceptional" review. For the past year and an half, we have been looking after an older dog while the owner recovers from serious illness. The clinic welcomed the dog as a "long term" visitor and provides monthly shots for the dog and advise to us. Very much appreciated!

Thanks to Dr. Sarah, other dedicated doctors and staff, every visits are my furry kids and my joy. Every time, we are in the medical emergency, though they were super busy and fully booked, always found the way to accommodate my kids with loving and tender care. The most wonderful vet clinic!!! Here is an example of how wonderful they are, they were not my regular vet (they are now), my dog got really sick recently with high fever and all. So I called the family vet, but the receptionist coldly told me they are fully booked two weeks, couldn't see my dog. THAT'S IT??? Didn't even suggest any solutions (they are always like that. No sympathy) so I called West Boulevard Veterinary Clinic next, as they are very popular vet, they were also booked up that day. But what a difference! The receptionist told me that she would make an effort to see, if anyone cancelled, they would see my dog on the same day or following day. Sure enough, as soon as she figured out the little time a vet was available, she squeezed us in. What a professionalism and compassionate people! Thank you very much for your wonderful loving care to our furries.

The doctors and the team are very friendly and family oriented. My Shasta has visited the clinic twice for different issues. The second visit was bit of dramatic as I was prepared for the worst. Dr. Potter did not give up on my little Shasta. Both her and her team performed an experiment and saved my little furry friend. Took Frida the Cat here to have a checkup because I was concerned about her appetite and thought she might have worms or something. Well they very patiently explained all the things that might cause an increase in appetite in a cat (none of them are worm FYI) while the vet examined her and very kindly told me that I was just giving in to my demanding cat too much. Lol she had gained almost half a kilo since her last vet visit. Well thanks to their advice I was able to get her begging and her weight into control. They really did a good job of giving the tough love. We used to go to the Granville Island veterinary clinic and like that clinic and received excellent care, but it is a bit pricey. I suspect that the facility may not have as many resources here. I have been enough to comment on prices yet.

I rarely (if ever) write online reviews...BUT....I want everyone to know that the team at West Boulevard Vet is hands down, the best Vet clinic team I have ever had the pleasure of bringing my pet to. Dr. Salomon is the primary Vet we see there and she is personable, understanding and thorough. She takes the time to explain to you what is going on in a way that you can understand. She discuses the treatment options knowing that your pet is your family and you want to do the very best for them but also with the understanding that sometimes money also plays a role in what you're able to do. I am currently in the process of getting my senior dog ready for our new life in Australia and the team at West Boulevard have been so understanding and helpful every time I call and need yet ANOTHER document (it's a big process). We'll definitely miss them all once we move.

I was looking for a vet with experience with rabbits and decided to take my two rabbits to West Boulevard Veterinary Clinic after reading a lot of good reviews on the clinic. Dr. Kutney was extremely kind, patient and observant, and she spent over an hour examining my rabbits. One of my rabbits has multiple complex health issues and she asked a lot of questions to determine how to best care for her. I have seen a lot of rabbit vets over the years and she was by far the best one that I have encountered so far. The price is also very reasonable and I believe a lot cheaper than other vets based on some of the reviews that I read online and some of the vets that I've visited in the past. Dr. Kutney is highly experienced with rabbits (over 25 years) and I would highly recommend her to other rabbit owners.

Really and truly the kindest and most caring clinic I've visited. My poor old puppy has been through the wars a bit since I moved to Canada last year and all members of staff have been so welcoming, supportive, and willing to help in any way they can. They have gone above and beyond a number of times and have always been very understanding, which is something I'll always be grateful for. You can being your pet here in full confidence that he/she will be treated with the utmost care. For those of you whose purses are not bottomless as much as we would like them to be when it comes to our pets, another important point I've noticed is the cost of care here is much more reasonable than other clinics I've been to.

Many dogs, a cat, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, and birds have all been treated with expert and loving care. They have always taken the time to answer all my questions and carefully explain treatment options. I have never been unhappy with the veterinarians or the rest of the staff. Great clinic!!

There is not a better clinic for treating rabbits in all of Vancouver! We have been thrilled with the level of care that we have received from everyone at this clinic over the years. I've been going to West Boulevard for a very long time. They're the best vets in the city. I maybe wouldn't say my dogs run in to the office, but that's no reflection on the office, my dogs have issues. Dr Potter and her team have always given them incredible care. They make us feel like we are valued and appreciated. That's a good way to feel. Parker is large. Well, fat really. Stanley was really fat. They're really well fed. Most vets would have given up on me, but Dr Potter and the whole office continue to believe that I will learn. We shall see...

My cat has always had excellent care at West boulevard Vet Clinic. The staff members, from receptionist to veterinarians, all are totally professional in their care for our cat, Quatsy. He is diabetic so he needs to see the vet on occasion to check progress. Although he doesn't like the test for blood sugar and sucrose levels, he is calm in his cage for the appointments. In between appointments when I go in to buy his special food, the receptionist always remembers him by name to ask about his health. I recommend their practice to every one I know.
