the staff at cambie animal hospital are exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable, i'd definitely recommend them to any pet and pet owner
Staff is amazing! So friendly and understanding. You can feel their love of animals and how they really want to help our little friends. I was so happy to learn that one of the staff speaks french too!! The fact that I just moved in from Montreal and that the medical file I had was in french made me anxious that I wouldn't be able to translate it well enough for the team to understand what kind of care my Shteeve got before. So far so good.. big boy seems to be doing better and better every day. Thank you SO much for your help! Definitely recommending you guys to everyone around!
thank you for the care and assistance Dave and the girls up front have provided for my little guy, Diego. I was happy that I was allowed in the exam room, finally. Dave answered all my questions and was very kind to both Diego and myself, not rushing me out the door.
Professional veterinary, kind and welcome front desk and assistants. This animal hospital is very helpful and trustworthy. I feel safe while my kitten has issues with this hospital.
Dr Ubi and Dr Febbo are knowledgeable, compassionate and genuinely cares about the well being of my dog. The vet tech and front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Julie, Anna, Tess, Jordana and Jasmine for taking good care of Mojo ❤️
Great service and staff
Everything was perfect and went smoothly. The ladies were great with cooper and we couldn’t have asked for anything more! The vet was very informative and answered all questions. Will definitely be making this my dog’s regular vet.
Staffs are very professional and have a great sense of humour.
A giant money-grab masquerading as a Vet clinic. The way they micro-gouge you is all the proof you need.
Took my Cat there and felt that they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I’ll be returning for sure. Truly professional
They usually have my cat's food, friendly and easy to get on the phone
Great and friendly staff
Really nice people, I was able to feel comfortable and and also learnt so much while I did my practicum there. They take good care of fur family.
Was so happy and relieved to have found a vet that I am very comfortable with and could trust. The staff here are very friendly and professional. You can really tell they love animals. Not only do they have compassion in treating your pet, they also empathize with the owners as well. It is always a good feeling to know things will be okay with your pet.
I choose Cambie at first because it was the vet my friend goes to all the time. They have helped me a lot with my kittens! Their price are very reasonable and the front desk is super nice. After my kittens gone sick; they dealt with it right away and their diarrhea has now stopped and their eyes are no longer red. I am extremely happy with the result. I also love how they would call and frequently check up on your pets just to make sure they are well. I truly recommend this place to all pet owners! They have really helped me and I am truly thankful!
Every staff member I've met at Cambie Animal Hospital is so kind and patient and caring that I couldn't ask for a better vet clinic to take my pet to! Thanks for being so incredible!
I absolutely LOVE the Cambie Animal Hospital. I tried several different vets and was never completely happy with the service. It's hard to compare Cambie Animal to everywhere else I tried because it's honestly just so much better. You can tell everyone who works there sincerely loves animals. Dr. Ubi is so kind and always answers every question I have. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my critters.
Dr. Anderson has been our vet. for a long time. I trust his knowledge and staff. This does not change even though it is no longer his clinic alone. I have never been mislead or, in my opinion, over charged. Their staff is knowledgeable and caring. Their covid protocols are on point and I respect that. Thanks for everybody here keeping my animals in good health.
Dr Kwan is going to ruin your business. She is mean and ill informed. She blamed me for my dog having bladder stones, stared at me coldly while I wept because I could not afford more surgery, which she said was the only option.. a second opinion from another vet and a few months later and the stones are gone with $60 worth of antibiotics instead of $1200+ worth of surgery... I did see two other vets there last year and they were excellent... but unfortunately my experience with this one soured me against the whole clinic.
Very nice experience.
We love Cambie Animal Hospital. After searching for the right vet we found Dr. Ubi by chance. He's kind, compassionate and listens to your concerns. He doesn't push treatments but instead has a harm reduction mentality which we've always appreciated.
Dr. Ubi and his staff are professional, caring, courteous, and thorough. They have taken good care of my dog for many years.
This place has restored my faith in vets. The receptionists are always friendly and very informative if you have questions about the products they sell. The vet assistant who was handling my kitty was very gentle and kind when she saw how nervous my fur baby was. Dr Susie did everything she could to make sure my kitty was comfortable during the check up and testings such as blood work, and she never pushed for any unnecessary procedures. I was pleased to find the prices weren’t outrageous like a certain other vet I used to go to and that they didn’t look for reasons to inflat my bill. And the best part was being told that my kitty is an excellent patient. Thank you Cambie Animal Hospital for easing all the anxiety that I got from the last vet I went to and for being so good to my kitty!
Amazing staff! My dog has anxiety when he is away from home but the staff here were very caring and loving. They took care of both my cat and dog, and provided very thoughtful and honest insights. All the shots/vaccinations and recommendations were well explained before proceeding. Thank-you! I'm so glad we finally found the perfect vet. Also, the location is very easy to find because it's right on 59th and Cambie and there is free parking right in front.
Dr Kuan was amazing, glad we went to her for help.
Staf is great! They make every effort to accommodate my crazy schedule. Dr Suzie is very competent and kind to our dogs. Reccomend 100%!
This bag has always been an incredible and treated my little fur babies incredibly
Exceptionally friendly and caring staff. I’ve always felt our let has always received 100% attention and care from the staff and doctors here.
Everyone at Cambie Animal Hospital are so nice and I can tell they truly care about the wellbeing of my pet. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent care of their pets.
Good front staff but poor communication between the vets lead to poor diagnosis which lead us to come in for a paid appointment every 2 weeks for over a month before another vet in the same clinic saw us with a viable treatment. Unfortunately when we confront them about the wrong treatment the blame was just pushed to the other doctor in the office. He let us know the treatment he prescribed was more effective then the one she prescribes yet that was the one we repeatedly came in for. Our other family members had a similar situation there. I would recommend this place because of the good front-end staff but because of the vets seemingly working individually and not sharing best practices I would advise that you should take your loved pets elsewhere.
I found the staff extremely helpful with clear and expedient communication. I felt my dog was in extremely safe hands and that he was cared for sincerely rather than being a client. I felt lots of diligence was done in communicating the process of his surgery (teeth extraction) and caring for him post surgery. The cost seemed very reasonable. I would highly recommend this clinic. Be well.
Dr.Kwan remained calm, cool and completely professional. She was reassuring and positive and had several suggestions for what could be done to help my senior dog who had severe kennel cough. I like how she gave me a full picture, what the risks were, and the benefits. Both my partner and I are so grateful for the support and help! We will definitely be going back in the future - It was a fantastic experience!
Love this vet! They are so kind and caring here, even during COVID.
They took care of my dog as My Husband and I do and as We were expecting! Loved it
Great service and informative staff.
The doctor did not put the stamp of the rabies vaccine on the dog's card, nor did he give us the badge that the dog must carry saying that it has already been vaccinated. Then I asked for the bill twice and they forgot. Apart from that the service was good.
Always love the hospitality this vet clinic gives. They always find a way to accommodate me in their busy schedule despite my late requests. The vets here are very knowledgeable and gives diagnoses best to their knowledge as they don’t push you to do testing/ procedures you don’t want to opt-in. They let you know your options and that’s what I respect. Unlike, some places that require you to do testing and mandatory boarding, where you end up paying such a high price and at the end of the day not even be able to give a proper diagnosis to know what’s even wrong with your pup. I find their prices reasonable as I’m getting quality services for my fur babies. They are very detailed and will explain to you step by step on the pet’s medication. another thing i love is that their receptionists are top notch as I don’t even have to mention that my dogs have insurance, they immediately send the invoice to my insurance. Not to mention, they don’t make you wait forever, which is a big pet peeve for me, they get straight to your appointment time.
It was a very nice experience, all the people working there are very charming and willing to help! Once I come back to Canada I'll request their services again to keep Arty healthy and with his vaccines up to date.
At first we found them to be attentive and good with follow-up, and had used them for vet care after moving into the Marpole neighbourhood. We then needed to have a couple lumps removed - from his front leg and his hind quarters. Both were found to be benign - a cebatious cyst and one other kind. This was a $1600 procedure. We were initially a little put off by the apparent quality of the suture and incision. Our dog is susceptible to lumps and we'd had a couple removed by other vets, with very small tidy incisions and a few sutures. By contrast, the one on the front leg is about 2" long and the hair regrowth shows that he'll have a permanent black 2" scar permanently visible. This one, did however, heal. The incision on his hind quarters was over 3" long with pretty sloppy stitchwork. Of more importance though was that it wouldn't heal properly. Kept watering and weeping and we ended up recently with two holes remaining, 4 weeks post-surgery. We've followed all post-surgery instructions carefully, kept the wound clean and it simply wouldn't heal. More distressing is that, at one end, a new hole opened up after apparently being healed. Our research has indicated that this kind of thing usually occurs when sutures are poorly done during surgery. So, we arranged to bring him in for a couple new sutures to see if we could get these final two holes to seal for good. We felt that, given the initial surgery never healed properly, that this should be part of the follow-up. We expected to pay for the service but not be given a $500 estimate for a couple sutures under local anaesthetic with a mild sedative. They were steadfast that this was a net-new procedure and they would "need" to charge us the whole amount. We would have even happily met them halfway, but there was no budging and seemingly no willingness to admit that this should have been considered follow-up on their original surgery, given that it never healed. We won't be returning. ------- EDIT: based on response from vet At the time the vet said they felt it was healing well and claimed that the skin underneath was good, it was literally open and weeping. We were not in agreement with that assessment. And, if you do surgery on the hind quarters of a dog, how exactly do you stop them from lying/sitting on it and rubbing against furniture. We'll state it again for clarity. The quality of the surgery was substandard and the sutures weren't great. It wasn't healing properly and this second surgery should have been part of the follow-up and not quoted at another $500.
The staff and doctors are kind, informative, efficient and care deeply about your pets and your education related to your pets. I love the non-holding/trapping approach to treatment (when needles are needed) for my cat. It is stress free for all of us and has changed my entire perspective of vet care. I highly recommend Cambie Animal Hospital for total pet care, preventative and emergency.
The love, care, compassion through check ups, palliative, and sadly end of life visits have been nothing but amazing. My kitty Moo was very lucky to have been treated here. She seemed to adore Dr Jennifer and Mat, and it was sad meeting for Dr Ubi, but all of the staff who work here have been nothing short of amazing. I thank you, and Moo thanks you. ????????????????????
I've been bringing my dachshund to Cambie vet for many years now. Both Dr. Ubi and Dr. Kwan are very good at recommending the correct treatment without breaking the bank.
Ever since I adopted my little Pomchi, Tobi, 8 months ago I've searched all over Vancouver area for a reliable vet. After reading numerous reviews of several Vets online and making several calls to inquire, I decided to take Tobi to Cambie Animal Hospital. Unlike some other places, the facility is not a 5-star and is not glamorous; however, the welcoming feeling provided from all the members were comforting that I knew my little guy is in good hands. Dr. Ubi and Dr. Kuan were thorough with their explanation and took very good care of Tobi when he was admitted. On top of their friendliness and level of professionalism, their price is also very reasonable. I would recommend anyone who needs vet services to visit Cambie Animal Hospital!
Always punctual with really professional care for your best friend!
The staff are helpful and friendly. The vets seem very competent. I have been there several times over the last year, and I have always been impressed.
Great staff and amazing doctors
Caring staff and veterinarian. Our kitten was well taken care of during her visit and procedure.
I gave this place 5 stars a while ago. Now I am kind of disappointed with the services, after they changed the name, the quality went down. My wife had an emergency with one of cats, we got there and they said no vet was available, hence we had to go to another vet in the last minute, what is the purpose of having a vet, if in an emergency they just say, no vet is available and good luck. Not only that but the prices start to went up, i used to buy cat food from here, but now the price double it. I questioned and they mention i have been buying the wrong one for months. I called another place that i use to buy from and the price was still the same. I will be looking elsewhere for vet services.
Lovely and kind staff Trust matters especially during these times when you cannot come in with your beloved pets.
The staff at Vancouver South Animal Hospital are very caring and gentle with my anxious little senior dog (and very nice to this anxious dog mom too!). The vets are patient and thorough, and take the time to listen and answer any myriad of questions I may have. They saw little M-Jay through a recent health scare, and she is doing great now! I am glad to have the team at Vancouver South Animal Hospital looking out for M,-Jay, and grateful for their compassion.
My first visit was pleasant, very friendly staff and all were happy to help with any questions or concerns I had with my kitten. Would recommend!
I initially chose Cambie animal hospital because it is so close to my house, however after having taken my dog there for over a year now I am so glad I did. The staff is incredibly, kind, generous, patient and considerate of myself and my dog who is a very hyper energetic little monster. The doctor's have taken great care of her and taken every step to make sure my questions are answered and I know what else to look out for to take care of my dog. Their staff also consistently calls after visits to make sure my dog is getting better and never pushes me to come in if I don't have to. Many times if it is a minor issue i have been only charged half the usual fee. I recommend Cambie Animal Hospital to all my friends.
Can't get over how quickly my animals recovered after surgery.
Great Vet, everything can be done online, they have their own app. Very easy and straight forward, they take good care of our little guy.
Dr Ubi and all of his staff are amazing. The past October the 7th, we had to say good bye to our beloved cat Romi who was struggling with constipation and arthritis and at the end, with cancer. During the time Romi was in treatment, Dr Ubi always made sure that he felt comfortable. The day we said goodbye for the last time, Romi went peacefully. Today we received a sympathy card with a print of Romi's paw, and beautiful words from Dr Ubi and all his staff. It was an incredible and unexpected gesture. Thanks Dr Ubi and all your amazing staff for be there for him and for us. With all our love, Fam. Carrington Tornel
We’ve been attending this clinic for years. We travel from North Vancouver to this clinic at Cambie and 59th for the excellent care, transparent pricing, and good service we receive from CAH. Dr Ubi has been our vet for over 10 years with different animals and he is so kind, very respectful, knowledgeable, and caring. Recently he sold this practice, but he still works there. The other vets we’ve encountered, when Dr. Ubi is away, are also solid. This clinic is the best animal care I’ve ever gotten. And it’s always at a fair price.
They're organized with their business and schedule but I wouldnt bring my pet back here again unless I really had to. After a couple of questionable and negative experiences I feel like their priorities may not align with mine. Proper assessment and care is important...
Daisy is back to normal in just two days after her spaying. The Incision is healing nicely. She wants to run & catch her stuff toys but I end up throwing it to her. Great job on the surgery!!! Staff are amazing! Thank you!!!
Vancouver South has an amazing team. Dr. Alan truly cares for the animals. He’s taken care for our Golden Retriever since he was a puppy. One time we had to come 3 times for the same issue because the medications would work then stopped. He didn’t charge us for an appointment because we had come in a few times. We were so grateful especially with money being short during covid. I highly recommend!
Super nice staff, we just went there for a consult and for sure will come back for all future consultations and vaccinations. I really liked how the veterinarian suggested solutions based on the needs and lifestyle of my kitty, rather than thinking on securing the money with unnecessary vaccinations and procedures.
Dr. Ubi has been our Vet for over 7 years. We adopted Shea and I remember our first visit as it would be today. Dr. Ubi was very gentle with her. I know Shea trusted him the moment she met him. After every vet visit we receive a follow up phone call to inquire about Shea’s well being. There are times we just go for a visit and they always have a dog cookie waiting for a "smiling" dog. Thanks Dr. Ubi and Staff!!
I’ve been taking both my dogs Luke and Niko to this clinic for almost two years now. The whole team is amazing. Doctor Ubi, Allan and Jennifer have been taking care of my boys with kindness and respect every time we go there. I highly recommend this clinic.
(Translated) When a family member is sick, the medical team is indispensable. Today I chose the right one. There are very good medical care available in multiple languages. I believe you will feel the same way too! (Original) 當家庭成員患病時醫療團隊是不能缺少,今天我選擇是正確的。這裡有很好的醫護還有多種語言提供,相信你也有同樣的感受!
They always take extra care of my pet. Cambie Animal was a recommendation from a friend, and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to bring their family member somewhere that truly cares.
I have always have a positive experience bringing my cat here. The staff really care about your pet and they are in good hands.
Amazing! They were very friendly. I felt very comfortable as my dog was really on good hands.
Very friendly and caring staff.
The best vet in the city. Kind staff and great drugs. Luna reports the best trip of her life
Very friendly and caring staff, good prices as well. Will definitely keep taking my dog there. ????
Once again the Hospital Team treated our cat with such care and professionalism. Thanks!
Kind, knowledgeable vets and staff. Very trustworthy.
We are very impressed with the service we got from all of the team at Cambie Animal Hospital. Especially, Rene & Dr. Ubi. We have happily & luckily had our dog (Milo) for over a decade and have had little/no, need to bring him to a vet over the yrs. But, a couple weeks ago, he started yelping when he made certain physical movements. It lasted more than 24-hours and I asked a neighbour for a referral. They recommended Cambie Animal Hospital. On my initial call (Rene) was informative on the process of having Milo checked out, the costs and availability. When we showed up we were kindly greeted, everyone had empathy to our concerns and Dr. Ubi's approach, patience and thoroughness impressed us. He was also understanding to our budget constraints and ensured we got a generic brand of the anti-inflamitory to save funds. Since our visit... the team has checked up on Milo's condition a number of times and thankfully he has recovered nicely.
Dr. Ubi has taken great care of our ferret over the years. Highly recommended.
I’m a loyal customer of this Vet. They have great customer service! One upsetting thing I’ve encountered this visit is how dirty exam room floors were.
Everyone was very helpful and I was glad to know that, even though he's overweight, he's in good health. Hope the new food helps. Thanks again!
Dr. Kwan was able to see us during an emergency visit with very little notice. She were upfront about the costs, compassionate during a time of extreme stress and went above and beyond to provide immediate care for our most important family member. We very much appreciate the care that was provided.
First of all the girls up front are very nice! Great customer service But the main issue I had was the communication between the vets. I had taken my dog to the vet on a Tuesday since he has not eaten any food since the previous Saturday and has also had issues with his back the previous 2 weeks. They did some blood work and urine tests. The blood test and urine test came back the next day Wednesday but because Dr. Ubi had Wednesday and Thursday off they did not voluntarily tell me about the results. I had to call 4 times on his day off and it took a little bit of anger and frustration from me to get the results told to me by the other vet. Now this other vet has no clue about the issues going on with my dog, which is understandable because she is not the primary vet of my dog. But mind you my dog is now 5 days without food and is very ill. I had to take my dog to another vet in Richmond. They were able to find out what was wrong with him within 2 days. Everything was done in house and I was very pleased. All in all I think the level of compassion from him was not so great compared to the vet in Richmond (Raps).
We’ve had an excellent experience bringing our puppy Bo here in the 6 months we’ve had him. Each visit, the staff are friendly, thorough and take great care to explain everything we need to know. Dr Jennifer in particular has been wonderful to deal with! I highly recommend this clinic.
Great staff and great vet. Very helpful, especially with getting rabies shots and titer test needed to fly to China. At the moment, only two people allowed in the reception area at once but I've never had to wait more than just a few minutes.
A wonderful place for you and your cherished fur baby????????????????????
The staff here are really nice, and incredibly dilligent about following up with you after you've brought your pet in for an appointment. Our dog is not easy at the vet and they take it in stride.
Probably the friendliest staff I have ever encountered at a vet clinic. My dog was so well looked after. I'm very happy with the visit!
We've always seen Dr.Ubi. Staff is great Recommend to other owners
Been going to Cambie Animal Hospital for many years now. Very pleased on how they treat and take care of my furry children. Gladly will always visit them when ever I have any concerns and they are also just a phone call away if I am unable to make the visit. Thank you so much Cambie Animal Hospital. I highly recommend there services.
Just had vaccinations done here and they're pretty thorough and gives lots of useful information! Lots of front staff working and so it was super efficient
The best.
My ferrets have been clients of Dr Ubi for many years. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.Dr Ubi always tells it like it is and never pushes unnecessary procedures. They always follow up with us to make sure everything is going well.. Thank You *****
Me and my two kittens have had a very good experience the past 2 visits! Every staff member I've interacted with have been so pleasant and lovely! Would definitely recommend to any pet owner!
The Cambie Animal Hospital, under the amazing leadership of Dr Ubi provided our dog Bagels with caring, professional services for more than 9 years of his life. Bagels was able to live till the ripe old age of almost 15, which is very good for his breed. We don't think this would have happened without the excellent care and treatment Bagels received as a patient of Dr. Ubi's. When it came time to put Bagels down, the Cambie Animal Hospital professionals and staff were extremely empathetic and supportive in helping us make and go through that difficult decision.
Great follow-up and reasonably priced!
I brought my doggie for spay procedure and all went great. Very informative at the moment of release and great after release follow up on my doggie status. Thanks!
Normally I love this place. Booking online - go multiple appointments made and when I pointed it out, was told a system issue. However, the first appointment actually listed everything I had added while the second one did not. Ironically, the first one included something's that I now need to make a second appointment for. Unfortunately, Dr Allan today was abrupt and I felt was speaking down to me. Service drops from a 4 or 5 star to 1 because of all of this.
Staff are really helpful and friendly. Appts are on time. With covid, we aren’t allowed inside so a technician will come outside to bring your pet inside. Not sure if it depends on the veterinarian or if it depends on the reason for your visit, but the vet will either call you to give you a report or will come outside and talk to you in person. Have never had issues finding parking right in front along Cambie. Prices seem reasonable. We switched over because we needed our dog to be seen ASAP and our previous clinic couldn’t accommodate us (they were booking for one month later!)—so glad they were able to see us the next day! We are very happy with the care we received and will continue using Vancouver South Animal Hospital as our vet clinic.
Very prompt, courteous & easy to park at. Would recommend this business to any new pet owners as Dr Ng was thorough.
Good doctor and friendly staff.
Staff are patient and friendly, and my puppy recovered perfectly after her spay - no issues or complications at all.
The top notch patient of the top notch service @Cambie Animal :)
Very happy with our experience. They were quick to fit us in, accommodating, friendly and on the day of our dogs surgery not only did we get calls from the admin, but the Doctor too. Thank you for the fair fees and exceptional service!
Dr Jennifer Ng and the staff are so amazing! They were patient, caring and very eager to assist me with any questions and concerns I had leading up to my dog's dental surgery. I finally found a vet I trust.
Always friendly service and things are in stock
Always helpful with detailed information on caring for your loving pets.
Friendly staff, and decent prices for shots. I took my 3 month old pomchi puppy there and the vet was knowledgeable and didnt try rush us out, he asked a few times if we had any questions about anything, the secretaries and assistants were all super nice.
This hospital has been my furry baby's saver every time he's not feeling well. They have taken very good care of him. I moved quite far but I still bring him up to Cambie animal hospital because I trust them and I will continue to do. Thank you for always making me feel better when I'm desperate.
Excellent veterinary care. The knowledgeable doctors are very reasonable and they provide sound advice without pressure to spend money on unnecessary tests or treatments. I fully trust them with my pets.
Dr. Kwan is always nice and I am very satisfied about the way she treats and examines my dog. Definitely going back to her next time!
All of our pets have been patients here since we moved to Vancouver in 2012. The staff and care are always amazing.
OK, always nerve racking finding a new vet. Especially when its COVID and you dont get the same in house meetings to be with your beloved pet. HOWEVER, this place is AMAZING. From the first contact through email I was met with a kind, friendly person on the other end. My booking was seemless and they even have an app to manage all your appointments, medication and such. YES! I arrived and was met with the same warmth and care, in a covered tent area, where they took time to learn about Suzie's current concerns, Suzie was wisked away and then after a quick period of time, the vet, Dr. Ubi came out to talk to me and was also very warm, real and genuine. Its so refreshing to go somewhere where A. They love what they do and it shows in their approach, B. care about your pets wellbeing more than making bank, which sadly, the latter is all too common in this city.. I will be transferring both my animals to this hospital for their future care. Highly recommend. Thank you for the great service and compassion. If you are in need of a great veterinary practice, call them!
We have brought our ferrets (and cat) to Dr Ubi for over 10 years. He's the best vet around for ferret care and I believe he genuinely cares for their well being. I also appreciate that when it comes time to have to say good bye to them he comes to the house to make it less stressful. The support staff at the hospital are also very friendly and knowledgeable and good with the animals.
Dr. Ubi and the staff at Cambie Animal Hospital are so friendly and caring. Their passion for animals and their health really show in the way they greet and care for all the pets. We found Dr. Ubi to be very knowledgeable, gentle and thorough during our check-up. We highly recommend Cambie Animal Hospital to everyone who is looking for excellent care for their fur children! Our @hectorharveywonton highly approves of this review :-)
Super friendly. Helpful, clean and attentive to our furry friends, and humans too.
The nurse is friendly and beautiful
Great service! They really take good care of your pet.
They are punctual and thorough when it comes to my pets needs.
Wonderful nurses and doctors! Really helpful over the phone and in person. Would definitely recommend switching to Cambie Animal Hospital!
We had a very positive experience. The technician was patient and caring and the Dr was wonderful. We wiill recommend this clinic to our friends :)
Dr. Ubi is the best vet I have ever had the pleasure to work with. When I had a cat that had been suffering for years with Kidney disease, he helped me keep her alive for much longer than anyone thought she could live. He warned me that when the end came, it would be very obvious, and it was. He made a house call so that he could put her to sleep in my arms. --- He attends the top veterinary conferences in North America, and tells me the latest info in issues that concern me (a hobbyist breeder of cats). He has literally saved a failing kitten, and when I am expecting to have a litter, I can call him 24/7 if I run into problems. Recently my queen had to have a c-section. He and his staff worked harmoniously together, and the 3 vet techs literally breathed life into the 3 kittens that were born. Without them the entire litter would have been lost. When it was all over, he bought us pizza and pop so we could see the end of the hockey game. Absolutely TOP RATE.
I love this vet hospital. They are all animal lovers and Dr. Ubi is very kind to my pets. We have been there several times and are very happy to recommend these guys to everyone.
Every one i encountered was kind and caring and was very sweet and reassuring about my cat. It was our first time there and even though it was under the covid restrictions I felt really comfortable leaving my cat with them. I have two other cats and will be bringing them there as well in the future. Thank you
Nice front desk, good service.
Dr. Jennifer and the vet tech were very gentle with my dog as he was shaking with fear visiting a vet. We went for an annual checkup and inquired about our dog’s limpy early arthritic hind leg. Dr. Jennifer suggested a treatment plan that is significantly less costly and invasive than surgery since it is still early stage of arthritis. We will definitely consider this for our dog.
My cat had an urgent issue that needed attention right away, and even though VSAH was fully booked, they squeezed me in between appointments on the very same day. It was our first time there, and Dr. Jennifer Ng took the time to understand my cat’s history and any underlying conditions. The consultation never felt rushed, and I genuinely felt she cared for the animal. I’ve been to enough vets in my life to know she was head and shoulders above many others. The staff there were also super helpful and empathetic. Because we didn’t have an appointment, I had to wait a while outside the clinic for the consult (due to covid safety protocols), and the staff at the front desk was apologetic for the wait kept me informed of the timeline. Anyway, I’m very impressed with this clinic and will bring our cats here from now on. Highly recommend.
I took both my cats to SVAH in a week because they started sneezing and were very stuffed up. The receptionists were very sympathetic on the phone, very responsive to emails with questions I had, and made sure I knew what I needed to bring before my appointment. Then, after Dr. Allen examined them, he explained what the possible illnesses that my kittens had were, why he thought the most likely one was the most likely, and how he wanted to treat them to help. He even explained what the next steps would be if he was right and if he was wrong. Finally, when I was going, they only gave half the amount of medicine I needed so that of Dr. Allen was wrong, I didn’t have to pay for 2 full amounts of meds I wouldn’t need. He wasn’t wrong, though, and my cats started feeling better just 2 days after I started them on their meds :). Highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for a vet in Vancouver.
I am so happy we brought Toby to VSAH. It's been really good so far. Not overpriced but even most important I can see that drs and staff have commitment and love for our fur-babies :D
The staff here are very helpful and friendly and made the registration process really simple. My pup had previously seen a number of different vets and had developed a fear of the previous place, and VSAH contacted each provider for me to obtain the records. Yay! Also, they use a great app that reminds you of appointments and when to administer medication (plus other stuff). Really happy to have found a place my pup likes and somewhere that cares about my pups health rather than just symptoms. Would definitely recommend. Looking forward to covid being over so I can go inside and meet her vet face to face. I find phone consultations difficult to follow sometimes but that’s due to covid measures, not the quality of conversation!
Great staff and clinic. Very happy with their service.
100% positive experience from reception, booking, communication and the surgery/skill of vet and vet techs/assistants. very caring and professional clinic. highly recommend.
We came from Vancouver island to get surgery for our Rottweiler called TPLO. The staff was very knowledgable, friendly, caring and professional. It was well worth the trip over
Good experience with Drs Susie and Ubi for my dog - both were very caring and understanding towards shy dogs.
The entire team at Vancouver South Animal Hospital is amazing! I really appreciate how accommodating the team is by allowing me to swing by everyday to have eyedrops done for my dog because my dog isn’t cooperative at home with me. Thank you for the above and beyond service!
Very friendly staff! It was our kitten’s and ours first vet visit and we didn’t know what to expect as many places online had very mixed reviews. However these guys made us and kitty feel very safe. Our kitten was very relaxed the whole time and we felt truly cared for. Great service; we’re glad to have found a long term place for kitten’s care!
Dr. Alan has been super courteous and professional throughout the entire experience so far and has made sure my Frenchie, Thor, is happy and healthy!
Cambie Animal Hospital has been our Vet since we got our puppy 12 years ago - Dr. Ubi is very professional, caring and compassionate - and the staff are all very kind and caring as well. We have moved away from the area, but still travel to Cambie Animal Hospital whenever our dog needs to see the vet.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Ubi and his team. Always caring, calm and gentle with our dog Mo. Very clean clinic, everyone is friendly and they are very knowledgeable and thorough. Early this year Mo had an emergency and I was blown away by everyone's expertise from the time I made the call until his recovery a couple months later. Treatments were explained, costs were laid out so no surprises, they never pushed anything, and were patient and understanding. Dr.Ubi helped us explore options to make sure Mo received the best treatment and recovery plan. He liistened to our concerns and our plans and respectfully brought up options that made more sense. Dr. Ubi and his team truly care about the well being of the animals in their care. Thank you so much!
Doctors and nurses are very nice and detail, follow-up on the case by calling you up. Quite expensive.
Very helpful people here
Everyone at South Animal Hospital were very helpful, responsive and professional :) . Thank you
Careful diagnosis. Great explanations. Friendly staff. Thankyou for taking wonderful care of my two cats.
I have been going there for many years. All the staff are nice. The doctors patiently spend quite some time explaining my cat's health condition. They also have doctor available 7 days a week. Very convenient.
You guys are amazing. Keep the good work!
I've taken my dog to Cambie Animal Hospital for the last 7 years, and they have always been welcoming, polite, and professional. Our dog has certain issues that need to be worked around, and they've always been understanding and accommodating. The people there are very caring, and you can tell that they really love animals. I've been extremely happy and satisfied with the care we have received there, and I recommend this place to all pet owners! It's also easy to park there, and there is green space outside - an added bonus!
At Cambie Animal Hospital, we are always made to feel welcome and special along with our dog. Dr. Ubi and his staff are the best: kind, caring, knowledgeable and ready to help you and your pet in any way. From regular check ups to ear infections, to teeth cleaning, our pet has been handled with tender loving care. Great follow up calls/Emails too. I would not trust our dog with anyone else! 5 stars !
Good service and the best vets.
Took Kida in for her yearly vaccinations and asked Dr. Ubi about dental care and cleaning. Instead of selling me on having to bring 3 yr old Kida in yearly to have her teeth cleaned (like someone else did), he told me that Kida's teeth were in good shape and that scraping, etc. of dog's teeth isn't required until much later in the dog's life and as needed. I appreciate his knowledge, honesty, and no up-selling and more importantly how comfortable he made Kida feel during the examination and vacination. Also, the staff are always very polite and accommodating. Thanks so much!
41/2 Stars. Dr Ubi has been a patient and caring vet for my dog, Bogart. I have been taking him since he was a pup even after we moved away from the neighborhood . He has reduced his time at the clinic quite a bit so we adjust our schedule to be sure to see him .
All the staffs are very friendly, responsible and professional. I really appreciated Dr Susie took care of my pet who had diabetes. I also needed to order many things for my pet from this clinic. They all arrived on time.
Very good and friendly staff!
Honestly the best vet in the Greater Vancouver area. The staff here are very professional and have great attention to detail. Unlike other vets who make you perform every examination possible, Dr. Ubi is highly experienced and always gets his prognosis correct without costing you a fortune. We have been to 5 other vets in Vancouver who simply care about your wallet instead of your dogs (especially Canada West Veterinary). This is the only place anyone should be bringing their pets to!
The clinic is very accommodating with their appointments. Front desk staff are helpful, wonderful and very friendly ???? I love that the staff have their dogs up front! They always take good care of my Coty when I come in and very informative! The doctor are gentle especially the VA who showed me how to put drops on my dog’s ears and was gentle when she gave Coty her shots! Great location too - don’t hesitate to take your pets here.
Caring and knowledgeable staff! We were relieved to have Emma back to her own self, have all our questions answered and a plan to move forward!
This vet office is the worst!!! Terrible service, complete incompetence and absolute crooks. Stay away!
my puppy had an ear infection and i called them in late afternoon. They were able to schedule me the very next day early in the morning. when i got to the clinic the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. they know what to do right away. my puppy is now happy and active again. thanks!!!
Dr.Kwan is one of the worst animal doctors we have visited! She diagnosed our dog incorrectly and tried to pressure us to take X-rays when they weren't even needed. Our dog was vomiting every hour or so, so we took her in. The meds prescribed by the doctor made things worse... to the point where our dog was throwing up every 5 minutes and struggling to breath and walk! She prescribed a syrup which wasn't available at any pharmacy due to it being a controlled drug and we had to order it in which pharmacies were advising us it would take 2-3 days to get! By the time we gave up looking for the syrup, the hospital closed and our dog was getting even worse... We took her to another hospital where they said she appears to have gas due to eating something she shouldn't have. The doctor at that hospital gave her a shot and our dog didn't even vomit once after! She was jumping and eating normally. Save your money and do not visit Dr.Kwan!! Then when we told Cambie Animal Hospital what happened, they refused to do anything about it! Never taking our dog back here again!
Thanks for everything . U guys were excellent. Especially ur professionalism and caring attitude. Will recommend u come.
Do not go near dr Anderson. I had dogs teeth cleaned told him nothing more unless utmoost emergency. I got a 5000.00 bill. I was warned about him should have listened. In my opinion a crook
Dr Ubi is our much loved dog's vet. We like him a lot and would always choose to use him. Our girl adores him....despite the injections, various procedures and indignities he, at times necessarily, needs inflict upon her. 100% recommended. A friendly, humane practise. Reasonable pricing.
Dr. Ubi has been dealing with our dog for over 8 years and he is an incredible vet. My dog has extremely high anxiety as well as a bit of aggression but both Dr. Suzy and Dr. Ubi do such an amazing job easing my dog in. Dr. Ubi will do anything he can to help you and your animal. My dog recently developed idiopathic facial paralysis and Dr. Ubi was following up weekly to see if everything was ok. The level of care and professionalism Dr. Ubi shows is impeccable. We have dealt with other vets before and none of them have followed up and cared the way Dr. Ubi has. Dr. Suzy is also an amazing vet at this location. I highly recommend both of these vets, they really know what they're doing.
I've always dealt with the Cambie Animal Hospital for all my pets but sadly this time with my new puppy the experience was less than professional. When I called to make an appointment to have my puppy spay I asked if maybe my puppy was too young the reception put me on hold to check and came back on the line to inform me that it was okay only to find out when I picked her up that she was too young. If that was the case why did they not call me to inform and ask. Instead they called to confirm that I was still going to go ahead and have her hernia taken care of as well. They then called to inform me that my puppy will be ready for pick up at 4:30pm. I have inform them that a family member will pick up for me and gave my credit card to charge. Reception even confirm my credit card information only to have them collect payment from my family member. Will have to consider if I want to bring my pet back here.
Dr Ubi is most excellent!
They took good care of our puppy when he broke his tooth. They booked us an emergency surgery and the bill was much less than anticipated. We greatly appreciate the staff at Vancouver South Animal Hospital.
Amazing great staff! Very knowledgeable people who love animals as they all own animals themselves. Front desk ladies are delightful! Great for returning clients.
Professional and friendly service with great follow-up!
Everyone is caring and helpful!
Wow! The whole team goes above and beyond. After a terrible experience at Atlas, the doctor carefully examined our puppy, and since he was aware we were in a tight budget he consulted us before any charge was going to be made, he was patient to listen to all my questions, noted every detail of my pup's medical history, asked relevant questions to our routine to discard a few sicknesses, gave us OTC medicine our pup can use, and has been in contact to hear how our Bruno is evolving. Thank you team for helping us make our baby feel better during this difficult times. We have found our family veterinarian!!
A great place for your pet to be treated for their ailments ! I would recommend this pet hospital to others. AKA Stella
The staff here are superb. The love they give Boo, Punch and Minnie while they are in their care is top notch. Thanks for always being so kind to us, and our furry little companions.
We had excellent service for our first visit of a recently adopted dog. Staff were attentive, friendly, professional and it seems our little guy enjoyed his visit too.
Great animal hospital. The peaple are fantastic and the place is clean. Highly recommended!!!
It went a-okay and I would recommend others
Great and friendly
Nice Vet trying to help
My family has been bringing our pets to this clinic for generations now, this time it was my turn. We were immediately made to feel very welcome and a part of the family when we arrived for our first appointment. By the time we left, we felt very secure and cared for, assured that my kitten/cat will be very well cared for from here forward.
My cat was very ill and they managed to squeeze her in to an appointment at the same day. Although we could not go inside the hospital due to covid, doctor Jennifer called us several times to give us all updates and recommendations.
Great service, this medical issues were thoroughly explored and all my concerns were discussed. I was provided with a ton of info to help ensure my dog was being fed a proper balanced diet. Highly recommend!
Always very attentive and caring, very fair pricing. I’m happy to be a return client and also highly recommend.
The Staff were great and Dr Ubi had a great manner with our dog who was slightly nervous in the check up room. I really appreciated that they did a follow up call to see how he was after his vacinations.
They take fantastic care of our cats. Including our most vicious cat, which they handle with ease and professionalism.
They made a HUGE mistake on my dog vaccines. No attention at all about something so simple! They say the DHPP is annual, but they didn’t give this one in 2018. I asked in December 2019, and the receptionist told me my dog was only due to two vaccines instead of 3. All this time my dog was not vaccinated against DHPP! The veterinary missed! Then again the same veterinary (a woman) wrote down Rabies 3 years to 2021, but she did the vaccine on 2017! I mean how can I trust them? Don’t take your dog here or if you take pay attention on what they are injecting in your dog and for when they say the next one is due.
(Translated) My 11-year-old dog was diagnosed with heart failure and ascites at the VCA. The doctor recommended euthanasia or transferred to another emergency hospital for ultrasound and monitoring. The cost is 5000+, but the dog can walk when he enters the hospital, but he comes out Shi can only lie on the cart, and the doctor keeps suggesting or even stating that he might die on the night if he doesn’t transfer. This makes me see that this hospital only cares about money, not pets and owners at all. We insisted on taking the dog home to take care of it, and the spirit improved significantly the next day. Two days later, on the recommendation of a friend, we came to VSAH. The nurse Carie here can speak Chinese. With her help, we communicated well with the doctor and determined the treatment plan. After several inspections and taking medicine, whether it was Alexa, Rachel or Stephanie who received us, they were very friendly to us and the dog. I found the vets and receptionists at this Animal Hospital very friendly and caring. My only complaint was that the front door and window glass was dirty, but maybe I'm a bit of a clean-freak. I'd definitely go there again.
Brody is a new patient at Vancouver South Animal Hospital. He can be anxious in certain situations but he was completely at ease with the staff and Dr. Jennifer. While we brought him in for a specific issue, she reviewed his medical history and conducted a general exam as well as checking on existing health conditions. She was very informative, provided recommendations and was open to answer all questions. The initial consultation was fine but things went south after the surgical procedure. To keep it short, we're month in after the surgical procedure and the incision is not healing properly even after diligently following the post surgery instructions. First there was one point at one end of the incision that reopened and then a few weeks later, another at the opposite end of the incision. After some research, this happens when the sutures are not done properly. It was recommended we bring the dog in for a few stitches but weren't expecting a $500 estimate after already paying $1500 for the original surgery. Instead taking any accountability, they justified the cost because I happened to mention that he rubbed his back on the furniture and that's what caused the incision to reopen. To me that suggests the suture weren't done properly in the first place allowing anything that brushes up against the stitches would cause it to reopen. Just how exactly do you prevent a dog from keeping his backside from making contact with anything? Very disappointed that there is no accountability and it's just a cash grab. Not even any effort to come halfway.
Cambie Animal Hospital is my go to be place, I wouldn't go anywhere when we need vet support!!!! I have total trust in Dr. Ubi
I always have a positive experience with all doctors and staff. Dr. Brian and Dr. Ubi have been great with my dogs. Alexa at the front desk is super nice and helpful. Thank you!
Honestly I think this was the best vet I've ever been to. Every single person greeted me warmly and treated my cats with care and affection. The vet tech even helped me carry my cat carriers out to my car!
Prompt, professional, and courteous service!
Always good to our cats!
Southvan has kind and caring staff, I take my cat here exclusively and I love Dr. Jennifer.
Great staff
I've been taking my dog here for 10 years now and they've always treated me fairly and my dog loves coming here he never wants to leave
Very caring and amazing vet office...Dr.Ubi is a very compassionate individual. I gotta say I love how the office calls you a day after your visit to check up on your pet...Nyla and I appreciate everyone that works at Cambie Animal Hospital ????????
Very gentle and caring, mostly all female staff - love this! I can get very anxious and worried - asking a lot of questions etc. and the Vet was very patient and kind to me making sure to answer every question even if she already answered it. My kitten was cared for very well by the Vancouver South Animal Hospital team and I would highly recommend their services.
After a bad experience at another office, I was really apprehensive about trying a new vet to get a second opinion on my cat's irregular blood test. Right from the beginning, everyone I interacted with here was absolutely amazing. Dr Brian was the vet who looked after my cat from beginning to end. He was sympathetic to my previous experience, helped explain all processes clearly without fear mongering, made suggestions as opposed to telling me what needed to be done, and didn't move forward with any treatment without ensuring I knew why it would be beneficial to move forward with. He tentatively diagnosed a very rare disease in my cat and ended up being correct. I had to move my cat for further care to another vet at his rescue's request but once he gets better I will 100% be making Vancouver South my regular place for checkups. Also thank you to all the Techs, especially Alexa, for being so wonderful and kind through a difficult process.
We’ve been seeing Dr. Ubi and he is very knowledgeable, caring and calm. He’s very gentle and doesn’t push anything you don’t need. He neutered our puppy and did a very good job. There were no complications or concerns post surgery and the staff took the time to explain everything even calling mid surgery when they found a tooth that needed emergency care. We will continue to see Dr. Ubi at Cambie Animal Hopsital for all health needs for our 1 year old puppy as he grows older.
Nice and attentive staff, would recommend
Great, going to be coming back!
Everyone at Cambie Animal Hospital are fabulous. I wouldn’t trust Seamus’s health care to anyone else. I left our previous vet because of the constant “upsell”. There is none of that here and they genuinely care about your pet and not how much $$$ they can charge you.
BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I took my dog for his 3rd shot, and the veterinarian was SO gentle with him, his experience was the best. My puppy had a bad experience during his 2nd shot in a different place, and i was so scare about the reaction to the needle this time, but the doctor was the best, my dog didn't even notice it or cry. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED & the front desk staff is really helpful, knowledgeable and nice too!
Nothing to improve, you guys have ALWAYS been extremely professional and VERY KIND. and Love that you have on-line appointments if you want. Dr Ubi has always been my ABSOULTE FAVORITE!
I have very good experience since my first time there. We adopted a cute Kitten first time in out house and went to CAH for first inspection. There is no push at all. Nurse/assistants are well trained and super cooperative. Good experience with Dr. Ubi and Dr. Susie. They are friendly, passionate and very caring. Love everything there. You will be happy too.
Great vets
We have been seeing Dr. Jean Hsu, veterinarian , at Cambie Animal Hospital since adopting our Australian Sheppard dog, Harry.
Immediately upon bringing Harry home he needed urgent surgery for an infected rectal mass which thankfully turned out to be benign.
Dr. Hsu and the clinic staff have been very professional, informative and caring towards Harry and ourselves.
We would definitely recommend their services to anyone looking for excellent care for their companion animals.

Vancouver South Animal Hospital has wonderful staff and vets. Dr. Ubi is our vet for our Labradoodle, Lucy, and we are so pleased with the excellent care, vigilance, and skill. Highly recommend.
The doctors at the Vancouver South Animal Hospital are very knowledgeable and professional. They resolved my dog's limping problem which was not able to be diagnosed by my previous vet. The staff is always so helpful and nice whenever I call. I feel I can rely on them for my dog's health. Fair pricing is a bonus!
Dr Ubi and his staff have cared for our Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers for 15 years. I am very appreciative of their competency, professionalism and sincere concern for our dogs. Dr Ubi and his colleagues are empathetic vets and they are not alarmists. I have never felt that they recommended unnecessary services. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the hospital is clean and bright. Each visit is followed up with a telephone call to enquire on the wellbeing of our dogs. I can honestly say I have only had positive experiences at the Cambie Animal Hospital.
