I am a retired registered vet tech who work critical care/emerg medicine so i know the good bad and ugly with vet medicine. Yesterday my boston terrier went in for an eye enucleation and I am very impressed with the level of professionalism and care by the vets and staff. This was a surgery that couldn't be taken lightly and I received a call from the attending veterinarian that the blood work was clean and asked if I was still positive that i wanted to proceed with the procedure. (the surgery might have been able to be delayed for a couple of weeks but no matter what the surgery needed to happen )There was compassion and honesty from all the staff. They had nothing to hide at the clinic. very happy and will spread the word. thank you for the follow up call and letting me know that your clinic is here for me if need be

I only got as far as the phone call... Receptionist bombarded me with questions and wouldn't let me answer before throwing another one at me. I laughed and asked her to gang on and let me answer. She then put me on hold WITHOUR NOTICE for 5 min. I called back and she put me on hold again. I don't mind being asked to hold, but her rudeness was unnecessary. Going to make the drive to Loyalist Veterinary in Belleville. Higher prices, but better service.

This vet place is incredible. I dealt with Dr. Patel with my kitty who got into lillies over the Easter weekend. He showed compassion, as well he remained optimistic, gave me paperwork explaining the effects of lilly toxicosis and all around cared for her. The staff there was also very friendly. I am really grateful for him and his team, helping save Sally. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Cost for 2 puppies at 7 months to get fixed. $1301.76. My wife was quoted $900.00 ... They forgot to give us the cones. And we got billed 45.00 x 2 for OFFICE CALL/ Exam...they gave a 50.00 discount on the Canine Spay but not on the Canine Neuter...?? Complimentary ear cleaning...our dogs ears were not cleaned.

First of all .. I would like to say that I have been going to Tweed for years (15+).. even before the switch over to the new vet. (Dr.Patel who has been there for 6+ years) (WHO I LIKE!) I have always found that their prices are fair and that they treat all the animals with kindness. (Which is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO ME) Dr. Patel was very nice and explained treatments to me and if I had any questions he always takes time to explain things again. As for the wonderful office staff ... I have never had any of them speak to me with any type of 'tone' or ever use bad manners. Which makes me wonder .. how are people treating the staff that the staff would get upset?!?! I wonder ... if people are not taking the advise that the doctor recommend in the first place and this is causing added heartache??? In the end .. I would recommend Tweed (as I have for the past 15+ years) to anyone who likes their pet treated as if part of their own family.

If you were allowed to give 10 star reviews we would because Tweed Veterinary Services 100% deserves it. It's such a pawsitive environment and nothing could have made our experiences any better! They treat the animals like there own family and with nothing but love. The staff always makes sure you know your options and they are thorough with all your questions before even scheduling the appointment. Hazel has no issues hanging out with the staff here for a couple hours and we feel safe doing so, she's always just as happy if not happier when we pick her up. We love your services and would recommend them to anyone we know with pets. Huge hugs from Hazel until we see you guys next time!

My experience with Tweed veterinary services has been wonderful. I moved into the area recently and it was easy to transition my animals over into their care. Dr. Dev and his staff are very friendly and professional. I'm always able to get in to see them when I need and his entire staff are very knowledgeable. Their covid protocols are reasonable and it doesn't take away from the kind of care that they give to your animals. I will continue to bring my animals here and have nothing bad to say.

This is a rant/ warning to everyone not to take your furry friends to the Tweed vet. On August 14, 2015 we had to take out cat to the vet because he had a ruptured blood vessel, the veterinarian Dr.Patel said that the cost of what had to be done would be around $300 and at which time we could not afford so we went with the cheaper option hoping it would work. The cheaper option was to have the fluid drained and for us to do more treatment as well as antibiotics which we did, this was a cost of 165.50 and the next day the ear was starting to swell and fill back up again so on the 20th we went back in for a re-assessment and at this time were told we would have to go through with surgery. Now since we love our animals and don't want to see them suffer we agreed to have it done, we went to pick the cat up and unfortunately the money we to have didn't come through so he threatened to send our cat to the humane society which he can not do. The fortunate part of this is that a good friend lent us some money to get the cat back once we got him back he had to keep the stitches in until Tuesday the 1st of September, once the stitches were removed and we got the cat back home we noticed the swelling was coming back, now originally when Dr.Patel told us of the surgery he didn't say it could reoccur so we got it done and we took the cat back in today telling him to fix it and that we would not be paying for it because he didn't do what he had said he would to this he said we would have to pay to put the cat under and for the antibiotics which I was not okay with it is not my fault he didn't do his job. Currently the cat is at the vet and we pick him up at 1:30 we will not be paying for this visit and will not be returning other than to get the stitches back out, on this note Dr.Patel said he would not do any other veterinary services for us after today which we do not want anyways. Everyone please be aware of what he does he is not a good guy. Oh ya and the surgery cost was 272 so in total it actually cost us $437.50 when originally promised no more than $300. Please share this so no one else gets into this type of mess.

This breaks my heart to have to write this review because so many people have been affected by this vets client Jane who along with her family sells hundreds of dogs on Kijiji to unsuspecting people who just want a pet for their family. My niece bought a Yorkie from this woman that was so sick it died within a month. It was found later to be to young to be taken from its mother and had liver issues. I spoke to this vet at that time and he assured me they would look into this so called breeder. This vet sees all the dogs this lady sells and has been told her methods but has no regard to the countless lives he is impacting. It’s all about money. I’m not sure how this operation works but the dogs all seem to come from Tweed and sold in East York. Janes sister lives in east York and there seems to be others in on this puppy mill. Please don’t buy dogs on Kijiji go to a good breeder who cares about their animals if you have been scammed by Jane and you see this clinic giving the stamp of approval please write a review. Let others know. Vet need to help stop these people. Not just turn a blind eye to this situation. I see this vet seems to have a lot of good reviews so I’m confused why they would involve themselves with this scum bag and her family. Shame on you. Remember money is not everything Dr

Cheap prices, but the customer service is horribly lacking. Sometimes the staff is super friendly, sometimes they aren't. The doctors have thick heavy accents. Sometimes it's really hard to understand what they're saying. I've been going to Tweed Vet for over a year now, but I'm done with them. I have quite a drive to Tweed, and this past weekend I went on a Saturday to get some Revolution for my cat. I called 4 times, nobody answered, but the voicemail said they were open on Saturdays. I drove all the way to Tweed to find out they were doing a rabies clinic ( which was not mentioned on the voicemail ), and they refused to take 4 minutes to sell me the Revolution. I drove back there two days later, and the staff rudely informed me I could only get one tube of Revolution and that I'd need to make an appointment for vaccinations before I could get more. I paid for my tube, and got stiffed on my change. Like I said - you get what you pay for with this place, so beware.

I took my cat in when it was closings, ( emergency ) and the vet took us right away ( even though he was helping someone else ) the staff and vet stopped everything they were doing to see to our attacked cat, even though he was howling in terror and they weren't sure if he would attack them. ( we weren't sure either ) but the staff put pertective gloves on and went to work, as did the vet. They put our cat's tail back together and calmed our nerves lol and they've been our vet ever since lv them we bring all our pet's there.

Tweed Veterinary Services are very good, staff and doctors always excellent, we've never had a problem with them in the past. Prices are the best in the area, we would recommend this clinic to anyone. We've been to the Rabies Clinic several times in the past, including last year and it was very well organized ( as always) and we had called first to see what the hours were and yes, there WAS a recorded message about it and no, they do not have the clinic open for regular business on rabies clinic day...without wonder! (If you've been then you know why). I really think that people should think first before they voice their clearly disgruntled opinions.

Last week I contacted Tweed Veterinary to get a quote on a surgery for my dog on his ear. When I spoke with an employee over the phone I was told they don't do payment plans but they have financing as an option. I then said " ok thats awesome, how much would everything cost me in the end?". The employee then proceeds to tell me surgery is $450 but to ask for a loan of 600 minimum because that should over the after care and visit. My husband then drops the dog off on our scheduled day for surgery. He goes in hours later to pick him up to be brought home. When my husband arrives they then tell him $720, without the follow up. My husband called me to inform me. I then called them to try and understand how it can go from 450 to 720! They then tell me someone must have quoted me wrong.... I got very upset but kept my cool. Once I ended the conversation with the employee on the phone I then call my husband back asking how everything went. He then informs me that the male vet said that we are "trying to have them over" and that "we arent even on the same level so clearly they are lying". They SCAMMED me and then proceeded to blame ME for THEIR MISTAKE. I suggest you stay far far away from this veterinary clinic at all costs! This will be one mistake that will cost you!!

This vet deals with a person called Jane who has a puppy mill. The vet is certainly aware of this but the $$ takes preference over the health of the puppies. Jane sells her puppies in kiiji and sells them when they are too young to be taken from their doggy mom with a health check from this vet. The vet is well aware of this yet continues to deal with her.

Incredibly rude woman answered the phone. Made me feel like a complete bother for even calling. She was short and snappy . This is shame as I have been a client with this clinic for many years and even through the owner change. The new veterinarian there has been great in the past with my 2cats so I was not expecting to have the receptionist make me feel like this when Icalled today. As with any such conversation the individual answering the phone is the first to make an impression on service to be expected and this was terrible. I will be seekinh services closer to my home as this lady is definitely someone I do not want to have to speak to again. I hope the doctors there soon realize that this woman is not portraying a positive business nor giving a very good impression

Best vet ever! Knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, and excellent with all of my animals. Also a great team of technicians who really care about my animals and provide excellent customer service. I've been an animal owner for many years and lived all over Ontario and this is the best vet clinic I've been to. I will never go anywhere else!

Moved to tweed today ,and our very loved bulldog died on the porch as we unloaded the truck.Called the tweed veterinarian service and we took her straight there.Good service and understanding.

I just phoned i expressing my pug was not doing well and they told me they were not taking any new patients due to the covid shut down it not right I have not heard of one dog having covid, he is sick and he needs help.
