We offer you the reviews of real people who buy the products of Beddington Trail Animal Hospital (Veterinarian) around Trail area (Canada).
Now this firm gets a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is really positive, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we may say that the rating is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Animal hospital.
The staff are great, doesn’t take “forever “ to get your pet in to see them. Fees are good- especially yearly shots. Thought Stella’s annual check up could have been a little more thorough this time- I noticed there were a lot of patients coming in at the same time- that could be the reason for it, but overall my favourite vet office since Transcanada/Dr Torrance retired. ????????
I take my cat here to get soft paws claw caps on, and they're always done beautifully! I have also brought him in for check-ups and bloodwork, and they are always kind and gentle with him. The staff are amazing, quick, and very nice to me, and I personally think the prices are much more reasonable than most other vet clinics/hospitals! I'd definitely recommend people to bring their pets here!
The vet was good. He was very caring towards my pup, explained everything well. The staff were lovely, the cost was better than I expected. The space was kept very clean. We are happy to stay with this animal hospital in the future.
About a month ago or so My Mitzu ended up with a severe eye infection, tried defferant medication with any result the attending Vet recommend Human medication and was expensive , tried many places to get this medication and found a pharmacy that was able to make this special medication, within a week Mitzu made a full recovery, and I was stress out but the Vet's at Beddington were proffesinal in every way and understood my concerns and reassured me , so in closing I highly recommend Beddington Trail Animal Hospital
I was most impressed with my visit to this clinic to get vaccination done on my 3 pets. The doctor and assistants were professional, friendly and thorough. They were very flexible too as I went back and forth with each of my pets. It was also a very relaxed atmosphere with a cat on a scratching tree who didn't bother anyone and it was kinda cool. I will be happy to return there if I have any questions or other pet problems.
Old Review: I've been taking my pup here for a while now and have had nothing but positive experiences with this clinic. There are about 25 clinics closer to me that I could take her to but this vet clinic is fantastic. They treat her with care (she is very little) and they are reasonably priced. I have since had questions about her shots and required some help for her pet insurance. They not only respond extremely quickly but they are kind, courteous and always have any questions resolved within one email. I believe I have a very short patience with companies due to being in customer service myself and this clinic goes above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for a new vet. Updated Review: We've decided to change vets. I had an incident with my dog which required an emergency visit (she was attacked by a neighbors dog). We were told to take her back to her vet to have her drains and stitches removed. We booked an appointment for the drain removal. When we got there we found out there was no appointment made (this was following being catechized by reception for being 15 minutes late for a teeth cleaning, as well as being chastised again for being "late" for a vet appointment I was not late for- I showed her the email confirming this and they 'rushed' us through our appointment). We were lucky that they fit her in though. We then made another appointment for stitches removal. We brought her in, the stitches were removed (very quickly) and they brought her back out to us with a huge gape in her back. They told us to go back to emergency as it would need to be stitched up again and they didn't have time to do this until October (nearly 3 months away). We rushed her back to emergency to find out that, no, she did not need more stitches. They cleaned up the drain, re-dressed her and sent her back home (with a $300 bill). We realized from this experience that Beddington, though great with accommodation, isn't really a vet. It's definitely an animal hospital (as per their name). I realized after I'd left I had left in such a rush to get her back to emergency that I forgot to pay them. I called asking what I owed and they said nothing. It was fine, as long as she was ok. As I said, there's some flaws for sure and if you are looking for a very inexpensive teeth cleaning or an emergency visit- these guys are the best. But not really great for a regular vet.
I always have a good experience when I bring my pups in to the Beddington Trail Animal Hospital, even when I’m there for difficult reasons. I especially appreciate that I’ve never felt pressured by the staff or medical team to accept a procedure or treatment that was outside of my capabilities. They’re always trying to balance what would be the best case outcome for our loved ones with what we can afford. I also appreciate that, while it’s obvious that they are an extremely busy clinic, I’ve never felt rushed or like I couldn’t ask questions. Thanks for taking such great care of us all!
Was able to fit our appointment in very quickly! They were incredibly helpful and the price for our cats medication was very reasonably priced!
Our vet is truly a professional. She cares and trust me I would rather go there than the other expensive vets. Don't waste your money. Loved it there.
Very friendly place to bring your fur baby, I had been going to a different vet for a while and paying far to much for my cats medicine a friend referred me here and it is unbelievable how much less it costs for my cats health care. I will also attach a pic of a picture they had about house plants!
This vet used to be okay, just okay....After my visit yesterday I can tell this place has gone down hill. I had the worst experience at my appointment with Dr. Atal Bahadur. Who apparently is the owner. This "doctor" and I use that term lightly, was the most insensitive, abrupt, rough and inconsiderate veterinarian I have ever brought my pet to. I went in for a concern for my cat's sore leg, he had been limping for a few days. The Dr. walked into the room, didnt pet my cat or take his time with my animal, like most decent vets do. He just walked in and said, "what leg?". Then hits my cat's sore leg with a reflex HAMMER!This examination could have easily been done with his hand, instead he chose to inflict unnecessary pain on my animal. After the reflex hammer my cat immediately hissed and hid behind my arm. Instead of having any sort of patience or experience he immediately says, "your cat needs to be sedated so I can examine him"......WHAT? I am so very disappointed to say this Doctor sincerely does NOT care about your animals wellbeing. He is either lazy, has very little experience or he is scared of animals. I declined the suggestions and will take my cat to a more experienced vet, like I should have in the first place. I would stay far away from this place. This doctor will not treat your animal with the kindness it deserves. The Doctor had the audacity to charge me $45 for an examination when he didn't even touch my cat!I can't express how horrible this vet is. Save your money and go to a real vet like Mcknight, anything but this place. The office staff is great but unfortunately that holds no merit when the actual vets are awful.
This was my first appointment with my one year old cat, Mona. The entire staff, as well as the on call veterinarian, was friendly, professional and were quick to answer any and all questions I had. It was a great first experience. For anyone who is nervous or wary about finding a credible veterinary clinic for your new pet, I would sincerely suggest Beddington Trail Animal Hospital.
I’m a pretty big advocate of this clinic- I send all my friends here because of their extremely reasonable prices (my Pomeranian was put under and lost 6 teeth for $650- most clinics would charge $1200+). This visit, though, wasn’t a super positive experience. When I took her for her teeth cleaning back in January I was 15 minutes late not realizing it (I put the appointment in my schedule wrong) and the receptionist sort of chastised me for it and told me they probably wouldn’t be able to complete the teeth cleaning. They did not call to see where I was, they just assumed I wasn’t coming.. Luckily they got me in but considering the amount that I’ve spent and how long I’ve been a client at this clinic it just seemed a little inappropriate to be chastised by reception. This time I was there on time but was told I was late. They told me they didn’t think that they could get me in. And once again, they didn’t call to see where I was. So, then I showed them emails from the clinic with confirmation of the time and explaining I was there on time. So the reception told me that they would have to “hurry” through my Pomeranians appointment. The vet came in and that is exactly what happened. I wasn’t in the room longer than five minutes. I will say that the vet did a decent job. The vet was friendly but I definitely felt like I was rushed through. They gave my Pomeranian the shots that she needed and looked at her ears and took her temperature. Then essentially pushed me out the door. I asked a couple questions and the vet didn’t seem super pleased to answer them. I am taking this as a one off though. I have had really positive experiences with this clinic in the past, however, if there seems to be timing issues or if I am push through an appointment again I will probably be switching clinics. I don’t live close to this clinic so driving all the way and being threatened that the “appointment might not happen” multiple times is stressful, add this to the fact that my Pomeranian is 11 and bringing her all the way over there is stressful enough for the both of us. One big positive I will say is the shots and medication and the appointment were all $94. Upon reviewing my receipt it looks like they didn’t actually charge me for the appointment itself. I am guessing that is because I was rushed through.
Dr Atal doesn’t care about your pet at all and he is incredibly rude. Very unhappy. The rest of the clinic staff and doctors are nice but will not be returning Just because of dr Atal
Don't believe all the hype/reviews. The adage you get what you pay for couldn't be more true for this clinic. This clinic came highly recommended to me via multiple friends and acquaintances for being cheap. After checking out the reviews I felt safe to take my girl here. My 5 minute visit was definitely cheap but the bill sure wasn't.. I am very thankful for the bad experience I had here for many reasons. Mainly to steer well clear of this place in the future. Not so thankful for the regular influx of emails regarding my dog needing to come in for this or that when she had passed away. Thankfully elsewhere under the care of imho, hands-down the BEST Vet in Calgary. I'll add more re my experience here asap however please think twice before coming here period.
They did everything that they needed to and my experience was good.
My 8.5 month old pup had been limping for 4 days and I needed to get him to a vet. Beddington was the only one available immediately without being an emergency, every other Vet was a 1 or 2 week wait. The staff was so kind and friendly. They explained Kylo's issue to me. Gave him 4 days worth of pain meds and very cheap. Thank god with everything going on right now, a big expense would be horrible. Cheers.
The service at the Beddington Trial Animal Hospital is usually super great. I have been taking my pet there for many years. Yesterday I called ahead to pick up the prescribed pet food in an hour. I got there at 12:37pm and just noticed they were closed from 12:30-1:00pm for lunch hour which the lady on the phone didn’t advise me about it. She might have forgot to tell me that they are closed for lunch at the time I got there, but it is a bummer that I had to wait until 1:00pm for them to open just to pick up the prescribed pet food. Everything else is great.
I have seen and heard mixed reviews about this clinic but I have been nothing but happy. It’s affordable and in all honesty it lessens the stress when your loved pet needs help. Each doctor I have seen has been upfront and treats me well. My dog is treated well and you know the saying, ‘if my dog don’t like you....well...’ I recommend this vet regularly.
I can't say enough about Dr Atal and his wonderful staff - I have been going to this clinic for several years and my dogs have received excellent care. I recently lost one of my dogs to bone cancer and everyone was so kind and compassionate when the time came to say goodbye. They were able to make a difficult and heartbreaking situation a little bit better.
My dog hurt her leg and I was worried about taking her to a vet due to COVID restrictions. The staff at Beddington Trail Animal Hospital made the process safe and easy for both my dog and myself. They are going to a lot of extra work themselves to keep everyone safe and our pets healthy. This is one of the most reasonably priced vets in Calgary and they have always been extremely helpful and competent.
Excellent vets, excellent staff. I take my 3 adult American Bulldogs and my litters of puppies to them. Costs are always reasonable and best of all there's no upselling. These are our pets, our family and upselling shouldn't be a thing for medical care. Either you need the care or you don't and they recognize this here and treat you fairly.
Great place, and didn’t overcharge us! It’s a little out of the way, but the vet closer to our place was charging nearly 3x what Beddington does. And the dogs love it there. Works for me!
I went in with my 18 year old cat at the end of her life. She was being put to sleep. I wish it was not done in the exam room and it seemed like they said I can take the time I need but they came in to remind me of that making me feel they were rushing me out. I also had to walk back out with her empty carrier through the lobby. This is not the first time I put a cat down, last time at a different vet I was in a calm room separated from the exam area and with a back exit so it was a little more calm transition. I don’t know if beddington can do something like that but just a suggestion. Other then that they were great, supportive, understanding and kind.
I have been to this vet hospital twice for routine checkups for my cat. I find the staff very friendly, on time, and competent. Their fees are considerably less than VCA. I haven't had any specific problems so can't comment on their handling of serious health issues but from what I have observed, I would trust that they would handle it competently and with compassion. Both times, the hospital was clean and bright and had a cozy feeling. I am comfortable recommending their services to pet owners.
Absolutely love this vet and recommend it to everyone I know. Prices are great and very reasonable! Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, they explain everything and really care about the animals they see! Our vet explains everything and lays out the options for us, no pressure for expensive procedures or pressure to spend a lot of money unlike other vets I have experience with.
What can I say!! This place is amazing ???? I took my dog Roxy for a visit this morning I was so nervous but the staff made me feel so comfortable and assured me she would be ok. The doctor that seen my dog was amazing. He did not push extra charges on me like previous veterinarian's. All said and done my Roxy received the best care ever and I will be making this place my number 1. Thanks again so much ❣️
Excellent pricing but customer service/knowledge was questionable. I brought 10 yr old dog in because she's having issues with peeing in the house. On the phone,I was told they could do blood work and a urine sample. I was told they could collect urine with a cysto if I couldn't get a sample. They couldn't get a sample the day of and then told me they didn't have the equipment to do the cysto. I spent 1.5 hours driving for this appointment. I now have to take her to another vet for a urine test/sample. Their prices are great and I would recommend them for blood work and dental but anything else, I'd find someone else maybe.
I have been a pet owner for most of my life. This veterinary clinic is one of the best. It is clean. The office staff are friendly and kind. The Veterinarians are professional, knowledgeable and caring. The prices are reasonable and affordable. Highly recommended.
I've been going to bettington trail animal hospital for many years now, They are very professional- the ladies are super kind to all animals who come through the door. The pricing is super reasonable, And they're very fast and efficient. Definitely recommend checking them out.
Unbeatable pricing. Front desk staff are super friendly and kind.
We brought our new pup Nugget to Beddington Trail Animal Hospital to get his second set of vaccinations, the receptionist was very welcoming, friendly and proactive in getting us to see the Vet right away, the Vet was extremely nice and informative and put Nugget at ease, we will be coming back for the next set of vaccines and to have him neutered.
This isn't the first time I've been here, however recently my cat snuck out and was attacked by somthing, I called this vet and they were able to get me in for a same day appointment and it was perfect. They took quick, amazing, affordable care of my cat, such good care that my cat acts like nothing even happened. I love this vet and will always return with my fur babies as they are very caring & welcoming.
So far so good. We have been using this clinic for about 3 years (only have had 3 visits) and thus far the service is friendly and effective. After arriving we are put into an exam room almost immediately, on one occasion I then waited almost 30 mins for a vet to actually come in. Mostly it's been 15 mins or less. They have a couple staff doggos in the front room that are always overly friendly and enthusiastic to greet you so if you have antisocial pets please inform them before hand (one of my 2 chihuahuas is not pumped about seeing them but one is, lol).
I would 100% recommend this vet clinic to any pet owner. They are great fitting you in to see a vet promptly their prices are amazing! Not to mention their vets are knowledgeable and very kind, you can tell they love the patients they work with.
The vet techs and vets here are caring, knowledgeable, and share an obvious love of animals. The prices are the best in the city and the professionalism, care, and knowledge of each team member I've interacted with is top of class. My dog is a nervous nelly at the vet and the staff here are so gentle and patient with her.
I looked for a veterinarian since I came to Calgary seven years ago. A friend recommended Beddington Trail Animal Veteran’s and I found them to be really professional and reasonably priced. I use them for my two Yorkies and my cat. I am very pleased.
I took my puppy there for the first time and I would never take him there again. The staff was really friendly but I can’t say the same about the vet. When I went into the office he kept saying “grab your dog”. I was so confused because all the vets that I have been to would be saying hi to the puppy and petting it. He didn’t introduce himself or was welcome. Right away he give me the feeling he didn’t want to be there or he didn’t like dogs. He seemed really scared of my 4 months old puppy, he kept asking if the dog bites and telling me to hold him. (To all the vets I have been it’s the first time a vet ask that and seems like he doesn’t know what he is doing) He didn’t seem to want to connect with the dog or me. He was rude and overall make me never want to go back there. If you want someone to care about your dog, show love and that he cares stay away from this place.
I’ve been coming to this vet now for 10 years with my baby Chihuahua and they have been doing a decent job of taking care of him. I like that they give him attention and sometimes will accommodate him even when it’s not that comfortable for all of us. These guys are good people and they have good prices overall compared to some of the other vet offices that absolutely screw people over in Calgary. There are some very Greedy veterinarians out there but NOT Beddington Trail office! these are good people here that understand values and they can be trusted and relied on to help you with your pets needs affordably & decent. Ill be back with my grey hound next.
I always receive great service and my dog receives good care from the vets here. I find they take a reasonable approach to care (not jumping to a bunch of expensive tests for small issues) and have very good pricing overall. The office is alway exceptionally clean and they are efficient with appointments, no waiting around.
I have been taking my dog here for years. I love the setup of this location, I love the email reminders they send about my dog's checkups, and I love how quick, friendly, and professional they are.
Amazing service and reasonable fees. All the vets here are amazing and COMPASSIONATE! They are an amazing group of people that truly serve their community, (of pets!). Thank you for your terrific care of our dogs!
I had to get dental surgery for my cat and the price I was quoted was amazing - $650 max no matter how many extractions. What they didn’t tell me was they wouldn’t extract any of the back teeth and that is where my cat had the most problems. I paid $550 for cleaning, extractions and medications thinking she had gotten the care she needed. 3 weeks later I found her gums were bleeding and brought her back. This is when they said they couldn’t actually get rid of those back teeth because they are connected to the jaw so she needs to see a specialist. They didn’t tell me this before the surgery and they didn’t tell me this after the surgery because they forgot. Now I’ve booked an appointment with the specialist they referred me to and the consultation alone is $200. The surgery wasn’t just a waste of money, this was putting my pet under (always a risk) for something that didn’t even fix the problem. I wish I had known all the information before the surgery. In short: their $650 dental work max only covers front teeth but they don’t tell you this.
Great vet clinic. The staff are friendly and the vets are caring, and prices are fair. I wished they had evening hours as someone's an emergency happens, then I would have given five stars Otherwise they are a terrific clinic.
The staff treated my beloved cat with utmost care, kindness and respect. Dr Sam was very friendly, and professional. I drove all the way up to Beddington from the SW to this clinic, because they are so good, and so very affordable. Nothing worse than needing care for my cat when I cannot afford the "usual" pricing at other clinics. Thank you Beddington Trail Animal Hospital!
Adding to my previous post, we recently had our dog go to Beddington Trail Animal Hospital for dental cleaning etc. She needed some teeth pulled at the same time. We really appreciated that they put a cap on the price so we weren't surprised with a huge bill. I spoke to friends who have paid over four times for the same procedure at other clinics. Not only did the vet call me personally to clarify some general questions before they began, but they called the following day to check up on my dog to make sure she was ok post surgery. I have found the staff caring and knowledgeable. We’ve been going to Beddington Trail Animal Hospital for almost a year with our two dogs. Dr. Bahadur is very knowledgeable and we and our dogs like him. He takes time to answer our questions without making us feel rushed. The staff is kind and caring. On our last visit, there was a candle burning to indicate a family was saying goodbye to their pet. It was a nice touch. Prices are reasonable and the hours are very convenient. I would highly recommend them.
Doctors and receptionists are great, however they didn't get the right issue with my cat when I came in.. she had a poking on the ceiling of her mouse, the doctor opened her mouse and somehow MISSED it, and gave the wrong diagnostics, it was later on when I went to the Calgary North Animal Hospital we were able to find the real issue, if any later, it would have been really bad.
This vet when down hill with new management. They are very contradicting with what they say. My dog got a k9 coronavirus while at their location. They refuse to admit it however. The diagnosis is right but there is no way my dogs caught it there. They do a horrible job of cleaning the rooms between different dogs coming as I have visually seen the quality of wipe down they do. They said my dog caught it elsewhere yet admit they have seen a huge amount of dogs that have this virus. My dogs don’t see any other dogs or visit dog parks. They caught this upon visit here and one dog has been sick for 5 weeks with this now. Then I ask to get this dog in for help they say wait 4 days or so. Very frustrating
My 9 month old female dog was in for a spay and I couldn’t be happier. She has a very small, great looking incision and has been recovering like nothing happened. I would recommend anyone take their beloved bet here. They have reasonable prices and excellent care, all the way from the front end staff to the vet assistants and the surgeons. I also love that they don’t push unnecessary extras. I will always drive across the city to bring my precious dogs here.
Very poor experience during dental “consultation”. Provided no expert assessment or opinion regarding tooth of concern. Spoke with owner afterwards who would not listen to my concerns about his staff or provide a reasonable remedy to the situation. Would not trust my beloved animal to this clinic.
Staff and Vet is nice and friendly. Reasonable price and my 2 little dog loves to come here as their nurse always shown the warm welcome to them and make them not nervous.
Wow their prices are unreal! So affordable and their staff and vet are very knowledgeable. Definitely will be my go to vet from now on. Here’s a picture of my lil guy at his first vet visit (: Would definitely recommend!
Its good for general checkups and examination and vaccinations. I went in for an eye infection for my kitty and I was charged for a full physical but the doctor only checked her eyes and charges that on top of the physical ( so I was charged for a physical and the dye test but all he did was the dye test). Super nice staff but not very helpful on the phone. You should probably ask for a service worth of your money or they won't give it to you. But if you ask they definitely follow up.
Dr. Atal Bahadur is a true gem! He is highly skilled and competent. I brought my dog, Maverick, here. He's an older dog, and needs a bit of extra TLC. Dr. Bahadur was compassionate, listened patiently to all my concerns, and came up with an excellent (and affordable!) treatment plan for Maverick. Thank you so much! I'm so glad I found Beddington Trail Animal Hospital.
Helped my senior dog who had a serious gastrointestinal problem, they were kind and compassionate. Also the best cost in the city for emergency care which unfortunately was factor for us at the moment. Would be going back if needed.
Well, I brought my cat in for an infected paw. They gave my gorgeous old girl a complete physical, clipped her nails, and gave me medicines to give her for her paw. She is normally pretty timid and scared around strangers, but she never once got out of sorts with the vet. It was like she knew he was there to help her. The desk staff was excellent, too. Very reassuring. And the prices were great, the lowest I've seen anywhere in town. I highly recommend this place for your fur babies!
I had take our cat of almost 18 years in today to be put down, the staff was amazing, very compassionate and patient as they actually listened to me tell stories of my cats antics. They showed true Profeesionalism and courtesy. Thank you, Update** Took my dog in for a sore paw, favouring it. Met with the male vet, not good, should have known better, she is standing up with 1 paw in the air and he asks me which paw is hurt. Did x rays. I’m no expert, but he said broke 3 toes, I call them toes. She will need surgery. After calling around to find someone that can do it I get a feeling of something is t right. I go to an out of town vet, let them look at the X-rays and they say these can’t verify the claim, I authorize new ones. $200.00 later they say we don’t see the break, try soaking her foot and we will give her an antibiotic because we think it’s a cyst that may be from a puncture in the paw. Here we are 12 hours later and she is now walking way better and the swelling has come down. The ladies at beddington are great run from the male. I am seriously considering moving to another vet unless they fire this guy
I travel from across Calgary for my pets so they can get the best care at affordable prices.
Stop searching. This is the best veterinary clinic you will find. They have provided Tier 1 service at a very reasonable price for our pets. Previously we've been quoted $1500 (Plus teeth extractions) for dental surgery for our dog, here our bill including the extractions was $475. We have been to other places and they were more concerned about making money from us than the welfare of our pets. I encourage you to check them out, you will be be shocked at the level of service your current vet is not providing you.
I've never had anything but good service here. I've read articles about bad decisions regarding pet care but in my personal experience all my pets have been cared for more than adequately. EDIT 2021: Forget all that. 1 year ago I took my sick cat in and the vet recommended he be put down due to potential renal failure. I asked for options and they provided none. I took him to a better vet and they were able to provide me with a plan to provide my pet with an additional 8 months of life. We kept him comfortable and were able to see him off at the right time. One year later Beddington Trail Animal Hospital sent me a letter saying they hadn't seen my pet in a while and to bring him in for a check-up, after telling me one year prior he needed to be put down. I will never give them business again; they are cold and only care about the bottom line. Calgary North Animal Hospital is far superior.
Great experience. Had my dog spayed. Great experience, the ladies at the front desk were great, atmosphere was great, however her stitches concerned me. She's very tiny, I did not like the way she was stitched up. It looked rough. It is healing fine however,. No concerns.
I brought my two year old rescue dog to this vet clinic as he needed teeth cleaning and it was recommended by a family friend and I must say I am very impressed with their service. First, this is the only vet clinic I have been to where my dog hasn't appeared anxious upon arrival, he is comfortable and wants to explore all the time. Second, upon the first visit, the veterinarian made sure my dog was comfortable by supplying him with treats and giving him a lot of pets. I asked them for a second opinion regarding my dogs joints, as his previous vet said he would definitely need surgery, and this vet said had a different opinion, saying that he didn't need surgery; they are not all about money. I feel comfortable phoning them every time I have concerns about my dog. They are wonderful and friendly, and I would definitely recommend, and I have, to others
First impression of the vet was , he obviously doesn’t like cats. He didn’t touch either of my cats. I specifically went to ask about my one cat’s loss of weight. I felt he didn’t care. The vet tech was more personable. We had blood work done and I had to call back for the results several times. Then they prescribed Thyroid meds twice a day. We returned for a follow up, vet didn’t see us the vet tech took blood again. No discussion about what was happening to my little guy. I have returned twice to get refills on the meds and have tried to get two bottles of medicine so I don’t need to return so often yet was denied again. Still no follow up from the vet. Don’t bother going here with cats. I’m going to seek another one rather than returning here.
Really disappointing visit to this vet- not a quality assessment of our dog's eye- which was why we were in and then tried to refer us to a cardiologist for a hear murmur, but more than anything CHECK YOUR RECIEPT! We were billed twice for the "consultation" and the last time we were at this clinic we were charged an Administration Fee & a Miscellaneous Fee. I have to go back to the clinic so that doctor can cut me a cheque to refund the duplicate consult fee. Not impressed with the quality of care given by the doctor and concerned about billing inconsistencies. I will edit this post if/when I actually get my refund for the duplicate consult fee. (photo of our dog's eye- the Dr insisted is just cataract) Update- we did recieve a cheque reimbursing us for the extra consultation fees.
Friendly, knowledgeable vets that could answer all our questions. Explained everything and gave us lots of helpful advice for our puppy. The vets were both very gentle on both visits. A pleasant and stress free visit for both myself and my pup!
When I moved to Calgary in 2015 I needed to find a good vet for my cat Goo goo. I looked everywhere and compared prices too. I picked Beddington Trail because I was told by someone they were really good. So I took my cat there. The workers are great, friendly , and always get us right in. This is the most affordable vet I have ever found! I get quality care for my cat without emptying my wallet!
I have taken my dog since a pup to another vet in my area. First dog, so not very experienced with pricing and care. I adopted another dog, and someone recommended Beddington. What a difference! Smaller practice that I find they truly care about the animals and the care, not just trying to push more than not needed.
Vets are very honest about pricing and trying to save you money. They explain all options and what they honestly think is happening with loved fur babies. One of our dogs was having respiratory issues. They vet explained that it was probably fluid build up and antibiotics would take care of it. Vet laid out all the options in front of us and explained that xrays could be done but cost$100. We put dog on antibiotics and cleared up in a week saving us $$$$
I love this place and every aspect of it with all of my heart and soul! By far the best animal clinic i have been to in all of Calgary that i have experienced. The staff are so friendly, informative and accomodating in every way. The prices are affordable and they exceed expectations in regards to quality of service. I drive a half hour across the city just to go to this clinic, i highly recommend to anybody who needs a doctor for their fur baby to give this place a try. I promise you won't be disappointed!
The staff at the Beddington Trail Animal Hospital are extremely kind and helpful. Their prices are also very reasonable.
The staff was friendly and made my dog feel very calm. Due to covoid I was unable to speak to the vet themselves which is something I would have liked to have done. But their prices compared to other animal hospitals seemed very fair.
Friendly front of house staff, knowledgable vets and reasonable pricing for a vet within Calgary city limits. We always feel are animals are in good hands.
Very friendly staff and knowledgeable Doctor. My dog has a high prey drive, so when it comes to cats it’s a no go for him. The staff are always so accommodating by putting the clinic cats away upon my arrival so my dog has a comfortable and safe experience . Thank you so much. This is the best vet in town and the best pricing!
We've been taking our puppy coming here, they have the best service ever and the vet is very nice and patient. They don't charge much and ridiculously like any other vet, their service fee is very reasonable and they have friendly staff too. They are very helpful even though sometimes I need help to reprint my receipt or puppy health record only via email. Very2 happy with their service. Keep the good work! :)
First visit with my dog Tumbo for his rabies shot. From the time I spoke to book my appointment on the phone all the way to our actual visit, it was a 10 out of 10. Staff was very friendly and they knew what they were saying and doing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves their pet and wants amazing service and affordable prices ???? you guys and gals rock!!!
I was impressed how skilled they are in calming a distressed animal. We came with our 12 year old cat who had stopped eating and had lost a lot of weight. The vet gave him subcutaneous fluids and was even willing to teach us how to do this treatment ourselves at home to save us some cost. Fortunately that was not necessary, the vitamin cocktail perked him up quickly and he recovered to his full beauty! This clinic is very reasonably priced (we have a vet in our subdivision who charges twice that much) and all the staff are very kind to animal and human alike. I definitely recommend Beddington Trail Animal Hospital.
When I took my little ones here, the staff were so friendly. The doctor was amazing too. Definitely returning for anything!
The vet agreed my pet needed to be seen for an emergency, but they weren't equipt to give him meds. They sent me away despite being a hospital and my dog needing attention right away. The vet nurse however was empathetic and did her best to guide me. Don't take your pet here if they are needing emergency treatment.
Simply the best vets office around. They were extremely easy to deal with when it came time to put our very very old pooch to rest. Couldn't be happier with the service, the price and the empathy they showed. Thanks Beddington Trail Animal Hospital! Will miss you when I move out of the city!
I have been taking my pups there for many years, the doctors and the receptionists are friendly, knowledgable, excellent with them both. The prices are very reasonable and no costs are hidden when costs are discussed. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their animals and love to experience excellent care. Thankyou for always being terrific with my pups and me.
Out of my neighborhood but well worth the drive given their affordability for puppies first vaccines and check up. Friendly, efficient staff and clean premises.
The Beddington Trail Animal Hospital recently neutered my 86 lb dog. They called to remind me of the appointment, giving me pre-op instructions. After the surgery they called to say he was doing well. When I picked him up he already had a cone on and was sent home with 2 more days worth of a pain/anti inflammatory medication. They gave me a care sheet which they went over with me in detail. Unfortunately my pup did develop a complication. They willingly did 4 follow up exams and any necessary treatment, as included in the cost of the surgery. They have a large and friendly team of staff. I could always book an appointment when I needed it. Although they were always busy, they never kept me waiting. Thank you????
I was recommended by my good friends Sheree and Shiendra. I was very impressed by their level of care for my cute lil kitty, Mojito. The veterinarian (I totally forgot her name) was honest and didn't upsell me on things I didn't need and that is what I really liked. I just got the feeling that she genuinely wanted what's best for little Mojito. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good veterinarian clinic, they're professional, caring, and deal with stressed animals in the most loving and caring way.
Giving 3 stars as I had a good experience in 2019 with one of the vets, but I was disappointed with the quality of service with another vet last year. The physical felt very rushed. The vet didn't check-in with me about my cat's diet, behaviours, exercise, etc. Also didn't explain which vaccines he was going to administer and why. I had to ask him if a certain vaccine was needed as we like to walk our cat outdoors on a leash, and he gave a brief explanation that didn't explain much. Overall felt like this vet had something more important to do and was just going through the motions of a check-up. During our appointment he also didn't cover his nose with his face mask. As a doctor he should understand the risks of COVID-19 transmission if he doesn't wear his mask properly, especially because he regularly sees patients.
I recently had a male cat, that I had to have neutered. Some of my neighbours suggested Beddington Trail Animal Hospital. Their comments included price, care, and professionalism. I contacted them, was given an immediate date (within 2 or 3 days) and was pleased to get there so fast. They were very professional, friendly, and took excellent care of my boy. They also gave him a wonderful nail trim, closer than I can. After 1 day at home, you would not have known he'd had anything done to him. And no cone was needed. He never once indicated any problem areas. Thank you Beddington Trail Animal Hospital, for looking after my little guy.
They took great care of my cat that had to have an xray and check out everything. My cat is doing great! I always recommend Beddington Trail Animal Hospital to my anyone that needs a vet recommendation. They are also lower priced than most animal hospitals. Thanks again!
We had the best vet visit ever yesterday! We recently had a terrible experience with another company, which was much more focused on the business end of things. Beddington Trail is all about the pet's health and well being. The staff, from the front desk to the vets are warm and caring to the both families and pets. This is the veterinary clinic that all the rest need to aspire to. I will definitely be back!
I recently had my 9 month old King Charles Spaniel neutered at Beddington Trail Animal Hospital and found the cost of the procedure to be very reasonable and I would recommend this facility for Veterinary services. Following surgery I called to get some clarification and found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful.
This clinic was lovely from the first phone call. I felt they cared about the dog. They offered value for money, lovely staff, very responsive and helpful whether on the phone or in person. Did not try to upsell, or guilt trip me into extra treatments.
It really pains me to write this as I have been bringing my two dogs to Beddington Trail Animal hospital since moving to Calgary in 2013. Recommendation from my sister, price, friendly reception and care for my dogs was the attraction of this clinic and did not mind travelling the 30 minutes it took me as I live in the South (Mahogany). On February 09 my wife attend the clinic to pick up a prescription for our elderly dog. On arrival the lead Veterinarian was holding the door open for a patron leaving with their dog and my wife wanted to enter. The Vet stopped her right there stating " who can't come in, were closed for lunch", pointing at a sign on the door. These hours are not posted on the website, we have been going here for 7 years and never have heard of this before. My wife informed that she was contacted to pick up the prescription and would only be two minutes. The Vet told her she would have to wait and come back in twenty minutes, it was -25 outside and she didn't want to wait in the car. She asked again stating she was from the South and needed to get back for another appointment. The Vet then threw up his arms stating " Whatever, you WHITE PEOPLE don't listen anyways " My wife was shocked at this racist comment and immediate walked away. The receptionist quickly came outside and profusely apologized to my wife for this mans actions. My wife stated " I heard exactly what he said" and again his staff apologized for "his" actions. My wife received my dogs meds and left. When my wife returned home she informed me of what transpired so I called and spoke to the Vet. Of course he denied what happened calling my wife a liar. I asked him this " we have gone out of our way to bring our dogs to your clinic for the past 7 years, what good reason would my wife lie about what happened"? Of course he could not answer. Before bringing your pets to this location please read all reviews and ones posted by past employees..... I guarantee you will want to take your pets to another Vet.
Was told 45$ for checking my dogs eye. Vet turned out the light and put two yellow eye drops in and done. He said my dogs eye was scratched by a cat. I go to pay $45 and then told me its an extra $60 for the two drop test.. HUH ? What was the $45 for ? They are the cheapest in the city and do good work, but be careful of their quick add ons for no reason like all vets. The staff is very friendly!
Excellent pricing, close to home. Friendly staff. My kitten was well taken care of! Highly recommend! Booked the same day I called for an appointment. Fast and professional.
Dr. Attal is simply the best. He also has a team of vets that I trust when I am not able to see him directly. He is so kind, and gentle with all my dogs which are very tiny. He respects them and their space, making their check ups as comfortable as he possibly can. Even more important is that he always listens to me and let's me explain any off behavior that I have noticed and takes this into consideration with their overall health. Just because a blood panel comes back normal, doesn't always mean they are fine. He listens and provides helpful tools, food suggestions and next steps, most of which don't even have a vet cost associated to them. I LOVE Beddington Veterinary and will never take my girls anywhere else.
I come all the way from Edmonton every long weekend to give my pup treatment here(also visit parents). My dog have skin allergies and is a life time commitment. This hospital made it so much easier and affordable compare to others. No wonder why they are always busy. Good job all.
We have been taking our chihuahua here for the past 3 years. Last week she went in for her annual shots and check up. Even though she’s never happy at Beddington Trail Vet we know she’s getting the care needed. All my questions were answered. Great prices too!! Thanks!!
My friends dog died after the vet did not physically examine the dog. He looked at the dog from the other side of the exam room, WOULDNT come close and said the dog probably needed dental work done..... 2 days later they brought the dog back and again, he did NOT do a exam and said the dog was fine. The dog had not been eating for a few days. All vets know that not eating is a serious indication that something is WRONG. He sent them home for the second time... the dog died 4 hr later. His licence should be taken AWAY!!!! My boyfriends mother also took 3 animals there in the past and they all died. He punctured ones bladder, allowing the toxic fluids to kill the cat. DO NOT GO HERE. They are also actively taking down bad reviews, meaning that this good rating is actually manipulated.
Affordable prices and good service. This is my regular vet for checkups and vaccines. They always try to fit me in the day of when I call last minute. The vets never push for surgery when not necessary always recommended alternatives and I was able to be referred to a specialist through this clinic.
I feel like the biggest draw to this clinic is their prices...you will notice this common theme in all the 5 star reviews. However, the quality of their medical care has became so poor I'm actually worried for the health of the animals being treated here. I take it very seriously when I write reviews on a business as this is someones livelihood. Yet, after what I experienced yesterday I felt I needed to write this. I brought my cat in for an exam as she was bleeding from the mouth and it looked like she had something stuck. However, even based on this presenting complaint the vet did not do an oral exam nor did she attempt to open the mouth. She than told me we would have to do a dental. When I went to schedule the dental appointment the front desk told me they didnt have any appointments till February. Frustrated as my cat was obviously in distress I brought her home and opened her mouth and found a 2x2 cm mass in her mouth. She is now being treated by CARE. If I had waited till February, the mass would probably have occluded the airway or spread to the point for which treatment would not be feasible. Overall, I'm extremely upset by the care received here.
TL;DR: great prices terrible doc The front desk staff were quite kind during my interaction with them and answered my questions. I brought one of my cats there in 2018 for dental work so when my other guy needed dental work I happily drove across town AND I could go in with him, yay. First visit had two requests 1. Predental and 2. Check his eyes because they were cloudy. Labs were drawn and I had to remind the vet about the eyes. He was in and out a few times during the visit and it didnt feel like we had his focus. He put drops in kitty's eyes, looked, and said they looked find. I confirmed NOT cataracts and was told no. I was happy and relieved at this making it hard to forget. I received a call later saying kitty has stage 3 kidney disease and needed meds, bp checks and special diet food. I expressed my desire ( after having to collect myself and call back) to start this all right away. I called the front desk to book in right away. Second visit a week after the first I was told the vet had to do a full exam because he only looked at kittys teeth last time (remember this later), sure. Now he has cataracts. I questioned this and was told that I was wrong and he did tell me previously. Everything else was fine, excl kidneys. He declined to check bp this visit. He spoke to me in a way that I found demeaning and despite me working in health care, he spoke to me like I knew nothing and how dare I question him. I still had to order the meds despite telling him and staff that I wanted them. The vet suggested a specialist for the cat to see for his eyes and couldnt comment on the teeth when I asked how they looked. He did give me antibiotics to take care of whatever was going on...pretty sure that wont fix teeth but okay. I left with cat food that was reasonably priced and prepaid for the meds. I booked a second opinion with a different vet/clinic before I even got home. BP was so high it was not measurable, he has a murmur, he doesnt have cataracts but hypertensive retinopathy, his teeth are rotting out of his head which was evident with a visual check. This vet is affordable but negligent not to mention he speaks down to the pet owners. The inconsistencies with his assessments is atrocious. I was told, twice, that I would receive a call when the med came in but didnt. My cat went without meds for a week for no reason. Not taking the cats BP was what pushed me over the edge, it was part of the treatment plan but not done when I asked. Negligible.
This is the absolute worst vet I have ever had to deal with. I can only assume they are biased against low income per owners as they told me an outright lie that my kitten had an obstruction in her stomach in desperate need of a $3000 surgery and insisted I surrender my pet with no effort to actually treat my kitten. There was no obstruction and no need for surgery. I can say with all honesty that the whole experience was extremely traumatizing and I would recommend people never use this vet. A zero star rating is not allowed or that would definitely be my rating.
I attended Beddington Trail Animal Hospital for my dog’s annual vaccination and checkup. I arrived at the given time and we were immediately greeted and taken into the examination room. Our vet came into the room shortly after and introduced herself and explained everything that was going to happen during our visit. She was professional and personable, being very receptive to both my dog’s behaviour and my concerns. When my dog had to be held to receive her vaccinations, she asked if I would like to hold my dog or would I prefer to leave the room and have an assistant come in to hold her. The appointment was completed quickly and comprehensively.
My bichon/shih tzu, Dora, had her teeth cleaned here yesterday. I honestly couldn't be happier with how it went. Excellent pricing and high quality, honest service. The staff were so caring of Dora which I really appreciated, and she already seems to be back to herself so quickly after the surgery. 100% recommend!! Don't let the exterior of the building turn you away.
My youngest dog (1yr) hurt her back leg jumping off the couch. They got me in immediately, went over her throughly, gave her pain relief & we discussed plan of attack. Thank you for helping out little Mira. ????
Staff are so friendly and they treat my pups with the best care every time! Prices are decent as well. Highly recommend bringing your pets here
we have been taking our pets to Beddington animal hospital for over a year now and have been very satisfied with the service that we have received. I have also recommended them to all of our family and friends.
I had moved & I was referred by a friend to Beddington Trail Animal Hospital. I have 2 small dogs that needed a consult & nail trims. Dr Marok was excellent & quick to get back with lab results, etc. The assistants were amazing in the handling of the dogs & their prices are very reasonable. I now have one dog booked for teeth cleaning & pleased with their affordable pricing!!!! I will definitely be using this clinic for my 2 dogs going forward!!!!
Staff does not tolerate customers who don't wear masks and I love it. They stand their ground My vet took the time to actually ask me if I had any questions multiple times. It's nice to not be rushed through my dog's appointment The staffs were also accommodating and professional with their job
I went to this place because I her read online that it had the lowest fees of all the veterinarian clinics in the city. However, there is a reason for that. It appears to me that the primary motivation of this clinic is to bring in customers and make money. Not high quality care, and attention to detail. I brought my diabetic cat to this clinic as the insulin was cheaper, and the fees were more reasonable. Upon her initial diagnosis, nobody followed up with me after she was on her insulin for a month, as I later found out they should have. Even when I went in to pick up more insulin and inquire about the effectiveness of her medication a few months later, nobody mentioned that I had not had a follow-up appointment that was supposedly the staffers protocol. It was only after I specifically inquired more recently, as to why I had not been followed up with re her medication, that it was noticed that my cat has never had a follow-up appointment. The veterinarian then passed the buck, and told me that I should have read the paperwork. Really???? I brought her back to get some blood work done, and they wrapped her foot up in a bandage and sent us on our way. Nobody advised me that I should take the bandage off within 20 minutes. It stayed on for the duration of the afternoon, and to be honest my cat hid away somewhere in the house and I didn't notice until later that she still had the bandage on her paw, and it had swollen up a significant amount. The bandage was wrapped extremely tight and caused her paw to swell up enormously. it should have come off earlier I was later told, (again, by the veterinarian, saying that I would have likely been advised to take it off after 20 minutes, which I wasn't.) This is the problem This clinic tells you things after the fact, instead of providing the proper advice and protocol at the time of appointment. Just on Impressions, (my own, and reading other reviews,) the veterinarian seems to always have plenty of excuses, and doesn't take any accountability for any mistakes made, or things forgotten. They have so many customers coming in and out, that they cannot keep track of each customer, and the appropriate counsel they should be receiving, and as a result, important information is not passed along to the customer, and as a result people's beloved pets reap the consequences. It operates like a cash grab, with quality care is overlooked for the benefit of profit. If you want quality, thorough care for your pet, I would definitely go elsewhere. I will not be back to this clinic again.
Out vet Sam was compassionate and helpful. She let me know what to do and expect with our dog’s pink eye. The assistants were friendly and courteous.
We have been taking our pets to Beddington Trail Animal Hospital for several years now. They have always provided fast, caring and reasonably priced care for our pets. We are very happy with their care.
All of the staff at Beddington Trail Animal Hospital are fantastic! From the time we entered (my dog and I), the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Each vet took an interest in my dog, and the procedure went well. The staff called a couple of days later to check in on her. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who wants compassionate care for their pet at a reasonable price!
We brought both our dogs here for teeth cleaning. They were very professional and kept us informed throughout the day of surgery. I felt comfortable leaving my fur babies there. Also a positive is how much was charged for this service. I highly recommend this vet clinic.
I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else. They handled my sweet dog ‘Botty’ while he had cancer and his last moments with compassion and tenderness. I cannot give enough recommendations to them- knowledgeable, compassionate, attentive and importantly affordable. Super reasonable in their pricing.
The male vet at this clinic (east indian guy) is such a rude person. I took my cat in for a check up and after he told me how much it would cost he proceeded to ask if i could afford it. Seriously thats how you to talk to customers? Worst experience at a pet clinic, save your money and go somewhere else they are just money hungry here...
Very unprofessional experience. Brought my dog in for vaccines and after the vaccine I asked the vet if any follow up appointments are required and if any other shots are needed. I even provided the vet with the puppy’s vaccination history. The vet assured me that my puppy has all required shots now and only need to come back annually for the booster shots. Fast forward a couple months I notice my dog vomiting and having diarrhea so I called around to see if I can get a check up done. After talking to another clinic and giving them the puppy’s details/history, they advised me that my puppy is missing a set of shots and was informed wrong. To be safe, I should bring him into the VCA hospital for an exam and test just to be safe. I brought this up to the Beddington Animal Hospital and a few days later the owner called me. He informed me that the vet that did the initial vaccine no longer works there and tried to dismiss the issue. When I told him I had to get exams and test done as a result of this to be extra cautious, he began raising his voice and getting defensive saying that it has nothing to do with the missing vaccine and I was told wrong and began yelling. I had to explain to him that I’m not a vet I don’t know what’s right or wrong, just going off the advice provided by both the vet at another clinic and the VCA hospital as an extra precaution. At this point I’m just looking for a solution and see what the next steps are for treating my puppy, then he began to calm down and apologize after I told him he was being very loud with his tone. From there we were able to have a better conversation. However, after that phone call and experience I won’t be returning to this clinic and will look to take my puppy elsewhere.
I have been bringing my furbabies here for years always been amazing staff that really care for both myself and pets they really give exceptional care at reasonable prices, we lost the battle with my boxer but they were there every step of the way and when it became time to say goodbye to him they really made it a comfortable and a peaceful ????experience for both me and Romeo I highly recommend them they are fantastic vets and staff Thanks so much Beddigton Vet Hospital !!!
Good value for money whether you're taking your pet in for annual check-up/shots or neutering your dog. I saved over $100 for annual check-up alone. I live a 30 minute drive away but it's well worth the drive. The staff are all great to deal with. Highly recommend.
2 stars instead of 1 because this clinic is reasonable in terms of pricing, however, what a big downfall for me is the service from the main doctors. They rush appointments, you try to ask questions and they give very vague answers. Their responses are quick to leave you with medication or send you to a specialist with no guarantees of anything (which yes, given health conditions it's difficult to guarantee anything, that I am aware of). The doctor had initially diagnosed my pet + prescribed a strong opioid for him, which caused diarrhea and vomiting (which I stopped making him take), only to find out later that this initial issue wasn't even a concern and they wanted me to seek a specialist and pay more money to see what else is the issue. My biggest concern is lack of professionalism. From rushing appointments, not being thorough with answering questions, dismissing concerns without fully assessing my pet, pushing me off to other specialists, diagnosing my pet with one issue then forgetting they had even diagnosed him with that issue, to not following up with me and going weeks without hearing from the doctor (when I was promised), to finally following up with the doctor and having them completely forget when they spoke to me and what was even said during the call...Very unsettling for me to be leaving the life of my pet in the hands of a doctor so forgetful...now I'm forced to find another vet that I feel is genuinely concerned and cares for the well being of my pet
Hi, I recently brought my Jack Russell in for a checkup and to have his front leg checked out during the Covid 19 crisis. A little different from normal but very professional. I was asked to phone when I got there and did just that.30 seconds later a customer service person greeted me and took some more info and my Jack all the time while wearing a face covering. She returned about ten minutes later explaining what was done and how they checked his leg. I was completely satisfied and felt I got great value for my trip. Thanks BTAH. We'll see you next time.
We took our Havanese dog to Beddington for teeth cleaning. We noted to the Vet that there was a growing tag on her nose. The teeth were cleaned and no teeth needed to be pulled. The staff were very good and carefully reviewed the follow-up with us. In addition, the Vet removed the tag from her nose, with no extra charge, as no sutures were required. The cost for the teeth cleaning was very good, and also we were quoted a cost in case any teeth needed to be pulled, as well as a maximum cost including for any teeth pulling.
They have the best prices in the entire city. And they are also very friendly and took very good care of my mojo kitty ????
This was such a great experience for us and our Nova. The staff where so wonderful and very informative. They took the time and explained everything to us about Nova's after care. Dr. Atal the veterinarian took the time to explain the procedures that he did on Nova to justify the cost. The cost was a third of what our original vet had quoted us, so in our opinion Dr. Atal did not have to explain or justify the cost. If this vet can charges the prices they charge what is wrong with other vet clinics. I would most definitely recommend this clinic to others, this is a very fair vet clinic. Happy fur baby parents:)
Took my Scottish Terrier for her first set of shots and she is now going to be following up on her yearly. Very professional and kind staff, fair prices, the vet is fantastic. They gave great advice and really care for your pet. Highly recommended and worth the drive across town.
Very nice staff I brought in my 3 year old pitbull(Shelby),she’s very shy and timid and a 14 week old pitbull puppy ( Mia) who I am currently puppy sitting my Shelby had an appointment so I thought might as well bring in Mia i of course asked her mommy since I knew she would have to take her in to see a Vet pretty soon she agreed and was very grateful, I was about 35min late I underestimated how hard it would be getting them both ready and into a vehicle so I called in ahead of time and let them know that I would be late and they said they might not be able to see them both but will definitely reschedule one of them in for tomorrow. By the time we made it there I was almost 45 mins late and all the staff was so nice and understanding and extremely helpful especially with Mia she’s a bit of a wild cart so the help was much needed lol they ended up fitting in both Shelby and Mia super fast and easy. Would definitely recommend this establishment to all friends and family the prices are very fair and like I said the staff is amazing!!!!
Clinic is well maintained even in during pandemic. They do their best to only have a certain number of people in at any given time and have put in appropriate signs to warn pet owners about the safety practices. Staff are all very helpful and friendly and they do their best to accomodate you. I was late for 15 minutes and they were still able to take me in. My pup Cooper has been going there from day 1 and they've always taken good care of him.
Services were great and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this clinic.
Dr Sam at Beddington Trail Animal Hospital is amazing! She helped my dog and she didn't try to sell me things or treatments we didn't need which kept the costs down. She kept me calm during a stressful time and was great with my dog. I highly recommend this vet clinic. Edit: Nov 2020. Dr Sandhu Harkanwal was awesome with my boy on the 17th. I thought he had something wrong with his hips or maybe arthritis. She examined him and without costing me a fortune in unneeded tests, she determined he likely pulled a muscle. Just some pain meds and no need for x-rays or anything costing more money. I highly recommend this team of Vets at this location.
Excellent service! The prices are reasonable and the staff is very professional and friendly. My dog usually gets quite anxious at the vet but the staff made him feel comfortable and he sure did enjoy his visit here! Would definitely recommend to everyone I know!
I no longer attend this clinic (for many reasons) but would like to implore the veterinarians to perform euthanasia with the 2 step method. I have seen first hand the techniques used at the Beddington Clinic and would like to see a beloved pet transition more peacefully .
Professional and friendly staff. Extremely fair prices. Quality service. I took my two kittens here, one to be neutered and one to be spayed. The staff were very friendly and caring. I can trust the veterinarians and staff here. I can tell they took good care of my pets. They were able to fit me in (due to cancellation) even though they have a wait list until January; the demand for their services shows that they are a reputable and reliable business. My kittens healed very well with no issues, and I appreciated the follow-up calls from Beddington Trail to ensure that the recovery process went smoothly. Highly recommend :)
Staff were professional and courteous, and the vet spent a lot of time examining our puppy and answering our questions. We were advised against any new vaccinations until next summer (that is, we weren't sold any unnecessary tests or procedures). The pricing is unbeatable (paid $60 for exam and deworming). Highly recommend this business, my kitties have another vet but I will be bribing them here in the future.
This is going to be a long review, but I hope this helps anyone that is in search of a new vet. We took one of our cats Betsy into get checked out because she was peeing around the house then we were sent home with bladder meds and that was the end it. Fast forward me booking for both my cats getting fixed which Betsy was one of them. And instead of telling me when I called to book the appointments or when we called twice before our appointment, they waited a day before the surgery to call and tell me that she may have something wrong with her liver from her that were in her results from WAY BEFORE that we were not told about and so they insisted that they called us but couldn’t give us a date when they called us or left a voicemail. so fast forward to the day ONLY one of cats got fixed while besty got her liver checked out and they asked TWICE if I wanted my other cat to get microchipped. I said no, I said yes to the free service of the nail clipping that is it. I get my bill and they went ahead and microchipped my cat. So, I left a voicemail and I had someone call me back that morning. this vet tech asked me how Bella was doing but never brought up my voicemail or anything. So, I brought it up and she was very vague on the whole thing and when I kept pushing it, she said to me You said Yes and that’s when I got upset because after everything, they did not take any responbilties for any mistakes. Move forward to the vet calling me after telling me he now had a date when called us about Betsy when before there was no date and when I told him that the lady that called me a week before couldnt find a date for when the call or message was made he again changed his story. THEN he told me he would refund my money for the microchip because that vet office is not “money hungry” which he stated many times which is weird thing to say to someone that asked for not an extra charge on something and especially if you have no idea 30-40 dollars means to a person. Lol then he said 4 people heard me say yes to that extra charge. I dropped my cat off at 7:30 am there was 2 people there. again, caught in another lie. THEN to end the convo he said I abused his staff, and he doesn’t want to take besty in for her appointment the next week.We ended finding an amazing vet and weird.. that none of the things that happend there has happenedat this vet office? no extra charges, missed voicemails or phone calls. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE - The vet the male vet there is NASTY RUDE man and the staff is not much better.
Our dog, Loki gets very anxious about vaccinations but the staff and doctor were very patient with her and stayed calm and nice the entire time. They were very helpful!
My animals are new to the clinic so I don't have enough experience to make much of an observation but I can say this, they are a very busy clinic and they still find the time to give your loved pet the time needed. ????⬛????????
This is the first time I have ever been to this vet. The veterinarian was very nice and gentle with my cat. She did not force her or make her feel uncomfortable. She gave treats to gain my kitty's trust and then thoroughly checked her out. Told me what to watch out for and did not charge me an outrageous fee. I appreciate a helpful vet rather than ones that are out for the money. Just because I don't make a lot and have a lot of money doesn't mean I don't love my animal 100% and I felt that this vet understood that and my concern for my girl. Thank you so much! Totally worth the drive from the deep SE to the NE ????
I had a terrific experience at this clinic! They were able to book me in almost immediately to address my dog's dental problem. The vet and all staff were caring and very responsive to our needs. This clinic offers very fair pricing, which is extremely appreciated and has led me to refer friends and family. The space is clean and welcoming. I couldn't ask for better service in a vet clinic.
Didn't get any guidance on my dog's IVDD. I had to look it up online a week after my dog went to get looked at by them to find out why my dog was stumbling around. They had him on Monday and took him back on Friday to get his blood sample done again because they said the first blood sample was spoiled at the lab. Then they told us that he had elevated Kidney test results so we had to come back to get a full blood work done. In the mean time, my dog is having difficulty walking. They saw this after 2 visits in 1 week. Never mentioned anything about bed rest or bad back. I took him to the VCA emergency center the following Monday because he couldn't stand. After 4 days in the ER and series of tests including X-rays, ultra sound, complete blood works for lymphoma, parathyroid, etc., the conclusion was that his back was so severely damaged that it would just be heaping painful procedures to keep treating him for the other issues when he was completely paralyzed in the hind quarters. His results came in after we put him to sleep and the results were, negative on lymphoma, negative on parathyroid or enlarged glands, etc. Had they provided guidance that he should have been crated and not allowed to walk around, he may still be alive 2 weeks later.
Ihad a wonderful experience at the clinic. Dr Sam was very professional, knowledgeable and put my mind at rest about my concerns with my rescue pup. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Thank you.
We brought our cat here, abscess, because we had heard they had excellent service at a very reasonable price. Fostering cats, that is important. We were Absolutely delighted with the service we received. The doctor was very attentive, and particularly concerned that he be at his most comfortable. That sort of thoughtfulness cannot be trained in… Cannot recommend them more highly.
Reception was very helpful and friendly. Dr, Bahadur and his assistant were very professional, thorough, kind and gentle. He made a recommendation to have our dog get dental work. Their rates are very comparable, and fair! Highly recommend them.
We took our 13-year-old dog in for a check up as he was not himself, he was intermittently sitting down -more than usual, not able to walk at times, and periodically ‘kind of’ leaning on things to support himself. They ran routine blood work and did a physical exam, which in the vet’s estimation turned up nothing. He was at a loss to explain anything during our two-minute phone call—the vet refused to expand any further and made us feel like it was an inconvenience for him. We decided to get a second opinion. Within 5 minutes the different vet discovered arthritis in both of his back knees and although unrelated, found cataracts in both eyes. It turned out he was in pain, and if we had stuck with Beddington’s diagnoses (or lack thereof) he would have been suffering. He is now on a canine NSAID and doing so much better. It made us wonder if the exam was even performed, perhaps in a rush, or if the person doing it was qualified to do so. According to the second clinic our dogs arthritic knees were glaringly obvious, and typical of his age and breed. The front staff at Beddington have always been friendly as have most of the vets. But even if their rates are good and have previously offered good service, It goes without saying they really dropped the ball this time and we won’t be going back.
The staff were warm, wonderful, and professional. My dog received a very good dental treatment. The fees were stated transparently and i felt that the fees were reasonable.
Staff are very kind and friendly. Teddy, our new puppy was so nervous the 1st time there he pee on the floor the moment he got in, but the receptionist did her best to calm him down. Doctors are friendly as well. The only thing would make it a perfect visit is the doctor will give us some advise what we should do or not do as a 1st time dog owner. Overall, we are happy with service and we appreciated all the help from staff members and thank Julie who recommended us be there.
A very accommodating staff and very thorough in the assessment. Also the most reasonably priced vet in the area
The vet techs were friendly and helpful, but I wasn’t impressed by the vet. He acted like he had no interest in being there. It was very strange. He didn’t check their teeth or feel their bodies for abnormalities. He acted like he was scared to touch my two dogs. He kept asking if they bite and asking me to hold them so their faces weren’t facing him. By the way he handled himself, I have no idea why he became a veterinarian. I saw no love (or even interest) of animals in him. For reference I have 2 Frenchies who are very calm and cooperative on the examining table. If I go back I will definitely request a different vet, as I see reviewers stating good things from other vets at this clinic.
I have taken my dog and my cat to this location, the cat twice now for check ups and shots and found it to be great! The prices can’t be beaten. The vet I see is phenomenal and the other staff are very friendly and helpful! I 100% recommend this vet clinic.
Excellent care and compassion. My mother had to say goodbye to her 17 heart old cat and the Veterinarian and support staff went above and beyond. In an industry as hard as this Beddington Trail Animal Hospital knows what they are doing, and they do it darn well. Great job to you all. Your truly amazing and I can't thank you enough for your professionalism, compassion and affordability.
The front staff and doctors are very loving and caring towards my kitty . Thanks so much ???? for taking care of my kitty whenever I brought him in for his first year shots and his neutering recently ❤
The staff was so helpful and friendly. Dr. Waruni Samarawickrama was amazing also. She gave me more information about my pet and how and what we could do for her other than have her put down. I will be using Beddington as our go to vet from this day forward. Thank you all for you ❤️ and care.
Everyone talks about how affordable Beddington is so I was expecting a sub standard clinic. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and organized it was. The front staff were amazing. I felt comfortable leaving my dogs there for their procedures. Highly recommend
Very friendly staff. And since their fees are so reasonable,I was able to get my pup up to date on everything keeping her nice and healthy.
Excellent service. Very friendly staff/vets who make sure you know & understand everything that is going on. Very reasonable prices as well
Brought my new pup in for a check up and shots and everything went so smoothly - extremely impressed from everyone there - love going back
I brought my dog Chico to Beddington Trail Animal Hospital as I was looking for a vet for my dog. I have always been pleased with their services from ordering dog food to vaccinations they have always provided excellent care. Although I no longer have a dog, I would highly recommend them. Thanks. First time visiting this location with my kitten. The staff is nice but the veterinarian I had was awful. Right away it seemed like he was in a rush and he did not take the time to hear my concerns. He did not do a thorough job of listening and cut me off multiple times. When it came time for vaccinations he was cold and demanded I pick up my cat. I will not be returning to this location.
This vet clinic has been incredible. The try to save you money without sparing care for your pet. Their treatment plans are always conservative. I’ve recommended this vet to many of my friends.
We brought our dog here to be neutered and we're very impressed with the level of service we received. They kept us up to date with the surgery and recovery. They followed up a day later to make sure everything was well with him. Thank you for a great experience!
I adopted a new family member and had to bring him in for a meet and greet but our appointment was not in the books - they did, however, honor our appointment after showing them an email. Our family owns several animals and recently I requested a family file. It appears that our records are not correct as to which pet belongs to whom. Location is convenient, staff are relatively friendly, however, the service has declined since COVID hit.
Absolute worst clinic I have been to in my entire life. Only with 2 vets there have I had a great experience with. The owner only cares about appointments and it shows by the way he acts with clients! Noticed they do not follow proper protocol so be careful when bringing in your pets! Wouldn’t be surprised if they caught something there! Cheap prices for poor quality. Called multiple times to speak to the manager to try to fix the situation. She was never there or either didn’t want to deal with the issue ( poor management) Honestly seems as though the clinic is run by high school students or people who have zero experience in running a GOOD business. Only thing this place is good for is vaccines other than that GO SOMEWHERE ELSE If you want PROPER PROFESSIONAL care for your pet your going to have to pay more . Better than going here as they always seem to have to send things off or they give you the WRONG diagnoses. Spend your money else where.
I have been going here for years after searching for a vet that didn't charge a fortune for everything, including dental care. Their prices have gone up, but $650 max for dental is still below what I have paid elsewhere. I was skeptical at first wondering if service would be sacrificed, but that's not the case. Front staff and the vets are all very caring and I have always had a great experience here.
