They were great!! Took great care of my puppy Bixie on her first visit. Dr. Kris was super patient explaining all of the shots and options for the happiest and healthiest Bixie girl. They were Covid safe and attending to so many pets that day—which I consider a great sign to me that so many people trust their beloved pets to Front Street Vet!! And they thoroughly explained the bill to me before payment. They even answered additional questions after the visit over the phone. The staff are fantastic here. I have taken my cat here for all his annual checkups and vaccinations for 5 years, and everyone truly cares for the animals like they are their own pets. Wow, Dr. Sun is so wonderful, I'm dog-sitting my daughter's dog who had stitches and thought they were dissolving and they were not the dissolving kind, the dog's vet is over an hour away, so Dr. Sun cheerfully said she would take out the stitches, and we had not even been there before. I am disappointed with your practice. Your veterinarian doctor, Dr Shum who was seeing my puppy was amazing. But the service is average. I had dropped off my puppy for 2 day-long drop-off vet check ups and vaccination and he wasn't fed or given water the whole day. He was hurting after his vaccination and no one knew about it until I went to pick up my puppy. Regarding other concerns like diet and nutrition for my puppy, I find them on the salesy side. Instead of actually guiding me through managing health issues (episode of vomiting) that my pup recently faced, the receptionist was more keen on selling me a new gastro diet and then accused me of changing my dog's food too often (which is NOT true). There was no guidance wrt addressing the actual problem, not even an offer to to book a vet visit. I did get an email back like with previous other concerns and it arrived few days later and by that time I had to take my puppy to a Veterinary emergency clinic (VEC). I feel that the practice is under staffed and must not accept new patients if they lack the bandwidth. The three stars for this practice are only for the amazing vet Dr. Shannon Shum.

This was the worse visit i ever had. Not blaming the Examination of my dog Stephon but, the quote i was given. $213 then the price they tried to charge me was almost 3x over that quote $550. The fact that they wont let a person make payments on things says to me they care more about money than a pets well-being. They tell you its absolutle needed, then tell you after you say its to much that its not that important right now after worrying you to death and/or make you feel so bad about yourself for not being able to aford to help your pet that you are between rent and food, or the dog. I had to cut his food order to half and take out meds just to lower the bill then im told $600 for an ultrasound but on paper give a quote for $800. This is rediculess and will start looking else where, not just the price but a vet that cares more about you and your pet then money.

This place is the absolute best! After taking Marble (my cat) to the emergency vet, he was still having issues and this just happened to be my closest vet so I gave it a shot. I'm SO glad that I did. This has, by far, been the best experience I had ever had at a vet. Dr. Szabo took the time to explain every procedure to me and understood my situation and tried to keep the visit as affordable as possible. In the end I paid 1/4 the cost I paid at the emergency vet and I never once felt rushed out the door (as I have alway felt at other offices). Dr. Szabo is an absolute gem and everyone there is amazing and passionate about what they do and it shows. I will be bringing Marble here from now on and regret not finding about this place earlier! They are so thorough, compassionate, and absolutely stellar. Thank you so much for making sure Marble is healthy and happy :)

I couldn't say thank you enough to the staff at Front Street AH. From the receptionists to the doctors, they've helped us with all the necessary paperwork for our cat's international travel. The staff are so patient, responsible for their clients and always prompt to respond. They never showed any reluctance or attitude even when we troubled them again and again for tiny little (but extremely important and time sensitive to us) things... It took another clinic in Toronto a whole week to get back to us with a revised rabies certificate (and billed us $100+ for "document preparation" without informing us of any costs first), which caused us a lot of trouble because of that delay, but Front Street was able to reissue and send one to us in 10 minutes free of charge ???? They're so reliable!!! I would highly recommend Front Street to anyone looking for a vet in Toronto, especially downtown. A friend of mine has just become their client and she's been very pleased!

I have been taking my cat here for 2 years (since we moved here). He's been well taken care of. I like that I can call and text with lots of questions about Jack, and they get back to me with an answer from the vet. I was worried about my cat when I took him home after having several teeth removed, so I asked like 6 questions over text message. They answered all of them and I felt better. And my cat was fine anyways so I didn't need to worry! I also like that they have a web store, that's convenient. I also like their responsiveness, I can usually get a same day appointment, which has helped when I've been worried about something, and didn't want to have to take him to the emergency vet, which is further away and more expensive.

I've been taking my dog, Corvo, to Front Street animal hospital for years. I started when I lived nearby, but kept going there after moving despite a 40-minute commute. It is quite simply the best, most attentive and dedicated staff I have ever seen at a veterinary office. They are the only vet that has ever pointed me elsewhere for more affordable products and procedures, outlined when vaccines and treatments might not be necessary for me and my dog and made compromises like waving examination fees so that I could have time to consider my options for certain vaccines and procedures. I've only ever had two emergencies with my dog, both times Front Street Animal Hospital has been attentive and patient. Once, Corvo got into chocolate and I had to take her to a late-night emergency vet. Front Street followed up with me quickly the next day to make sure everything had returned to normal. The second time, Corvo had been puking frequently in the morning. Once she'd puked several times I called Front Street, they fit me in immediately. Once there for her examination they laid out some recommended options like x-rays, but I wasn't totally convinced it was a real emergency - I just didn't want it to become one. They offered to watch her for the day at no extra change. I've never heard of that kind of genuine concern and community spirit from any other vet. It ended up being nothing, and I've never had a better reason to be loyal to a veterinary office. Lately they've been very attentive as I call way too often gathering documents to move out of the country with my pooch. The thing I'm saddest to leave is Front Street Animal hospital. I can't recommend this vet enough.

The care our puppy Lucy has received at the Front Street Hospital has been stellar. Since our first round of puppy vaccinations, they’ve been wonderful to deal with. They communicate pre & post appointments to make sure we have all the information needed, as well as to follow up on Lucy’s well being afterwards. In the months we’ve had Lucy, the staff have gotten to know her and are always very caring and excited to see her. Lucy went in for her Spay surgery, and Dr. Wright took as much time as we needed to answer all our questions and ensure we felt 100% comfortable with the surgery. A day later, we received a call (not a robocall - a real follow up) to make sure Lucy’s first evening and next day recovery we’re going well. Dr. Szabo is an amazingly skilled cat whisperer. My cat is a teddybear at home but a snarling 18-pound demon in most vet offices (they've had to break out the big leather falconer's gloves to deal with him). Dr. Szabo not only had him calm, but even purring! The staff were also incredibly sympathetic and supportive when my other cat passed away. Wish I hadn't had to move to a city hundreds of miles away, or this would definitely be my vet of choice.

I gave this vet clinic 1 star because this clinic has no compassion and they should be ashamed to say they care about pets and pet owners. They just wanted my money (over charged) and I was lied to. In one week I spent over $600 at this vet clinic and the vet, Dr. W. prescribed medicine for my pet. Before Dr. W. prescribed the medicine, she told me and I quote, "the medicine will only last a week, so if you need more, don't worry". My pet needs a refill of the same medication for the same issue and Dr. W. refuses to refill my pets med. Dr. W. say my pet needs to have a $100 exam, even though my pet has already been examined and only needs a refill. Typical example of money hungry vet clinic. They thought they could take advantage of me, but I'm smarter than that. I have also heard from other pet owners in my area who have shared similarly stories. I have one question for front street vet clinic. What is more important to you, quality service or quantity service?

DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU GO HERE FOR SURGERY. My dog, Chloe, who is a mix of a boxer & beagle had a bump that was sampled in July 2020. They sent it to a lab in July 2020 & it was fat. This year, I asked them to redo the sample as it looked like the bump grew. The Vet chose not to send it to a lab but interpreted it themselves. They confused the stain used as mast cells/ mast tumor (cancer) and recommended that it be removed. The pathology report showed the lump is just fat. A $1,300 unnecessary surgery that put me through unneeded stress, emotion, and my dog at risk.

Our pets have been going to Front Street Animal Hospital for years and all the vets have been incredible. The best part is that there is a team of dedicated doctors and technicians. So you get lots of people who can weigh in with ideas and support.

Money grab. One time my dog was having a hard time walking and they recommended blood work and x-rays which cost me $700, after all of that, the vet told me she can't read the x-ray and I have to be referred to an orthopedic surgeon which will bring up my total to $1300 just for diagnosis!! Did my own research and made my own meloxicam suspension (I'm a pharmacist) and gave it to my dog and he started walking again! Which means he just had an inflammation. Ever since I switched vets to Dundas East Animal Hospital, my vet costs have significantly gone down and my dog in perfect health. I don't trust the vets at Front street animal hospital. The Venezuelan vet I really liked from that clinic passed away from cancer a few years ago and that clinic has never been the same since. STAY AWAY. Response to Clinic: They only gave me a meloxicam prescription AFTER I told them that I have already given him some doses myself and that it seemed to work, so in the end, your vets did not really do much in terms of solving Joey's problem. I find that compared to the vet I go to now, your clinic has a habit of recommending a long list of diagnostic tests. Similar thing happened when Joey had an ear infection - your vet recommended a series of tests and then in the end I had to tell her which ear drops to prescribe. She initially prescribed me ear antibiotic drops that only covers gram negative bacteria when my dog's test came back positive for gram-positive bacteria. Good thing I am familiar with my antibiotics through my work and research in Infectious Diseases and I was able to detect the error. I took Joey for the same issue at the vet that I use now, and without telling him anything about the initial tests that were already done with Joey, he was able to come to a similar diagnosis with LESS diagnostic tests. I hope you do not take offense in the fact that your vets seem very inexperienced which leads me to believe that this is the reason why they rely heavily on diagnostic tests.

My cat Reya was rescued from a hoarder's house, so her nails grow in very funny, and I can tell it is very painful for her when I try to clip them. I brought her to Front Street Animal Hospital to get a paw-dicure with Meghan, who was absolutely perfect with her! I could tell, because instead of running under the couch and being mad at me all day (like she usually is after a visit to the vet), she was cuddly and grateful to be around me for the rest of the day. We have been going to Front Street Animal Hospital for maybe two years now. At first I thought that they were good and I could trust them, but now I am feeling that they have become greed driven and not very caring. They used to be reliable when it came to refilling prescriptions, now I find that they have become lazy and indifferent to the well being of our cat. I no longer feel reassured that they will act in our best interest although at first glance one can be deceived by their portrayal of the friendly neighbourhood animal hospital. Their organisation must have decreased significantly since they will communicate one thing to my husband and something different to me thus causing a great deal of upset and confusion. If they have records of what animals require what medications in their computer system, you would think that they would carry a reasonable amount of medication especially if it is for a serious condition. Either they are not entering information in their system or not looking at the information on file. It should not take all day to make sure that they will be able to refill a prescription. How long should it take one to ask the doctor a simple question such as this? They seem to retort that it is my job to keep them in order. How convenient - they can sit around and rake in the money while I chase them and I must make sure I am spoon feeding them at least month in advance.

We have been going to this clinic since we got our whippet puppy around 5 months ago and have had a good experience so far. We've gotten all the immunizations and have had our dog's spay done so far. Every vet and tech we've met has been friendly and informative and has had no problem answering any of our questions. The support staff are incredibly fast at responding to calls or emails with questions or to book appointments. It's also not usually much of a wait to get an appointment and since they are open in the evenings this has been very convenient for us. They have been very considerate and kind with our dog's spay giving us lots of information in advance,a calling with an calling with an update after the surgery, and calling to check up on her the next day. Best of all our puppy loves all the staff so she doesn't mind going in.

I am mostly happy with the services I get from this office for my puppy. The cost is about what i imagined it would be (about 130 for each visit, including fecal test and vaccines...minus rabies visit which cost more than others). Dr. Sun is very helpful to answer my questions. The email reminders and text reminders are very helpful. The hours are good. The office was nice enough to email me my puppy's rabies records when I had forgot them at home but needed them for the groomer. There are only a few things that I wish this office had, based on my experience with another vet (in a smaller city): - Ability to cancel/book appointments when the office is closed online. - Practical advice over the phone. I realize no one can diagnose with certainty over the phone (and I don't think the vets are ever the ones to answer my call), but I am a first time puppy owner so anything that seems out of the ordinary to me I look to the internet. The internet always tells me that my puppy is probably deadly ill (come on...). So naturally, I get terrified and call the vet. I never get suggestions on different ways I could handle the situation at home first, even in the meantime of a next available appointment. Its always just to make an appointment. I will be very broke if I have to pay $130 every time my puppy does something strange. My puppy's eyes were watery the other day and a bit of a yellow/green mucous was coming out. I called to see if this was normal/if she needed immediate attention or if we should wait it out and I was only told if its swollen emergency vet, otherwise the next available appointment another day. I called my family's vet, and he suggested I rinse her eye with a sterile saline solution over the course of the weekend. Problem solved. It is that kind of (maybe small city) service I wish this office had.

My family and I started coming to Front Street Animal Hospital because one of the veterinarians is family. Our initial decision to come was because we wanted our two elder dogs to have a familiar face in case there was ever any invasive procedures needed to be conducted so they would be more at ease. At the beginning of November 2019, we brought our eldest dog, Jodie here to be put down after she suffered from renal failure. Our natural choice was to have her be comfortable around Dr. Shum with whom she was very familiar so she wouldn't be stressed in her final hours. While FSAH is a bit further from where my family was living at the time, the presence of the vets was a tremendous comfort. Beyond that, my experience with the technicians and reception were all very highly regarded and the experience, as difficult as it was, left a very good impression on me. When I got Moose and needed to get him vaccinated, I wanted to afford him a similar experience. He's been in for a couple of visits now and both times he's left very happy. Despite CoVID-19, the services are still spectacular and the follow up before and after each visit is usually very thorough with all of my questions being answered concisely despite it not being done face-to-face as normal. Dr. Wright, Dr. Shum, and all the staff that I have interacted with are thorough professionals and have a great amount of care for the animals that come through the clinic. Despite my distance from FSAH, I will continue to bring Moose and the other elder dog, Toby here in the future and will continue to trust in the high level of care they provide.

This clinic is a great example of a business model that attempts to maximize average per visit cost and engages in sales tactics that prey on an owners fear, uncertainty and doubt. Have been with them for 2 years and always have felt uncomfortable, ending the relationship now. Go in for a dog's sore paw and get pushed on a slew of vaccines, tick medication (of which you need to buy two because they won't supply the single medication that covers all fleas and ticks), pain meds, blood work and more. $91 dollars to hear "Nothing you can do but keep him off his leg". For a visit they tried to make cost $600. Would not recommend.

I’m so impressed with how professional everyone is - even through a pandemic when it’s a little harder, especially since I can’t be there. If I can provide one opportunity for improvement, it would be to allow the pet owners to wait in the lobby - especially in the winter when it’s cold. Right now, I can go in to Pet Value, but I can’t wait in the lobby to hear how she’s doing throughout her appointment? I hope that is reevaluated while we transition through the restriction zones. Overall, I’m very happy; although Dottie probably won’t be so thrilled when I drop her off to be spayed. Perhaps by the end of April, dog parents can be present for appointments which include anesthesia. ????????????????

We have been taking our dog to Front Street since we adopted her in 2010. We have always received excellent care - the staff is friendly and attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. The space is always clean, and our appointments always begin promptly. Not only that, but they are flexible and able to accommodate our pup's uniqueness (e.g., a 60lb lab who does NOT enjoy anal gland expressions and requires 3 technicians to complete the task!). I noticed some reviews complained about the costs, and I don't have much comparison, but for a downtown convenient location that has a full and competent staff who consistently provide outstanding service - I would say it's good value! Our dog had to get 18 teeth removed because they were in such poor condition and we felt very comfortable with the entire surgery from start to finish. DO NOT COME HERE. Waste of money. I recently bought a puppy and brought him to this vet. Initially, the staff were friendly and even provided a welcome package which was very thoughtful. Our first visit with a new dog cost us $300+ and second $350+. For our second visit which was supposed to just be a booster shot, they charged for a "final puppy exam" in which they just took my dog's temperature and then SEPARATELY charged us for a "ear swab" since my dog had an ear infection. We also quickly realized friends were paying less than $100 on their visits with their new puppies at other places for the same services and shots. For example, neutering alone, this vet charges $492. Others have quoted less than $300 for neutering. We ended up changing vets and went for another check up (which they checked their ears) and including the medicine came out to under $100. The new vet also told us we didn't need blood work, which this place charged us $140 for then said they needed to do it again for $100 just to make sure an issue was OK which they had originally said not to worry about when the results came back. In terms of the service, the doctors were friendly but visits felt rushed and nurses weren't proactive to help. When they told us that my dog needed ear medication, there were no attempts to help us understand how to best apply it / hold him etc. They simply said put some in twice a day. I'll definitely NOT be coming back to this place.

extremely expensive for absolutely no reason. i have 5 dogs over a span of 12 years i have never paid close to 650 dollars for a check up. i will not be bringing any of my dogs here, and i do not recommend this over priced clinic to anyone. the conversation on the phone is more like to see how much they can get away with over charging you. During times like this instead of providing cheaper alternatives for pet owners they take advantage of your desperate situation since all vets have been closed. seems like they are trying to recoup lost business by over charging new clients. i even mentioned to them that financially i cant afford all these drugs and vaccines they keep telling you about, and they make you feel guilty for not choosing the recommended shots and vaccines. overall i believe the owners of this clinic should be ashamed of themselves and i will do everything in my power to educate and inform anyone about the greedy business practices of this clinic. sincere not regards

Here's the context to the story- I've been at this vet for 1.5 years, ever since my dog was a pup. I've had great experiences with a lot of staff here, but seriously, save yourself the trouble and find another vet if you don't wanna deal with huge egos, ridiculously long lineups, and frankly, some horrible people. This is what typically happens on a Saturday: if you arrive for your appointment on time, you'll find yourself sitting on the chair for at least 30 minutes before someone notices you and cares to speak to you. Keep in mind that if you are physically there, you come in LAST. The front desk will ignore you and prioritize answering emails, calls, or watching Youtube. There are at least 5 occasions where I was the only person in there, and 2 people at the front desk ignored me for a good 30-40 minutes, leaving me sitting there trying to control my dog from running all over the place. No like, they won't even make eye contact with you. Just me, sitting there, trying to hold on to my dog. Their response if you try to get their attention: 1 second please and continues whatever she was doing before. Then, they'll lead you into the room and disappear for another 20 minutes. The doctor will show up for 5 minutes, and after that, you'll wait for another 30-40 minutes before you get to PAY YOUR BILL AND GET OUT. Seriously, you can't pay your bill until you wait for a good 30 minutes because again the front desk will IGNORE you and do whatever they please. If you have an appointment at 1pm, expect to talk to the technician for 5 minutes, doctor for 5 minutes, and spend at least an hour sitting on the chair looking like an idiot. I endured all of that for over a year because I can only come in on Saturdays. I thought that was the way the clinic operated. I thought: fine, i guess ill just deal with this because Doctor Wright is actually amazing. Until one day this happened: I made an appointment at 12 30 for a booster shot. This is a follow up on a previously injected vaccin a month ago, and it should take 2 minutes since the doctor said I could just book a service appointment. My dog was in my parents house in Newmarket on Friday, so I had to get up early and drive for over 2 hours, because as always, the DVP was super jammed on a Saturday morning. I left at 10 30, and was literally stuck on the road without moving for an hour. At exactly 12.42pm, 2 minutes after the "deadline", just as when I was searching for a parking spot outside, someone called me and told me that because its past 10 minutes, I'll have to turn around and drive back home. You gotta be joking me. So you are telling me it's okay for you to never respect your appointment time, make me to wait for hours like an idit every single time, but this 1 time Im late by 2 minutes, i'll have to waste my entire Saturday driving back and forth. When i reached out to them, here's the response they gave me: We are a popular business and we have a lot of customers. If you're unhappy with policy, go somewhere else. Literally, that's what they said to me. After I heard that from the front desk employee, I didn't bother to return a call from the supervisor. That's exactly what I'll do. What a disgrace. Respect is mutual, and this business had absolutely 0 respect for my time when I made my appointments on time. If the policy is that clients have to turn around when they are late by over 10 minutes, then what kind of penalty do you impose on yourself when you are late? How is it justified when you make me watch your front desk employees watch youtube videos for 30 minutes, and then tell me that I have to go back because im 2 minutes late? Give me a break.

The staff have always been great with my dog and other pets that I have observed. Their dedication and passion for the health and well being of all the pets that go through their clinic is top notch. But, as pet owners, we spend so much of our money on our pets, as , vet clinics can be very expensive. I was told in my email, the day prior to the appointment, to bring a fresh stool sample. Then to find out I am being charged $90 for the test, which was not mentioned in the email, is very frustrating. Just wish there was more clarity on this matter. Our puppy had some trouble with his gut after his neutering due to a reaction to the anaesthetic. The team and Dr. Sun were fantastic at making recommendations to help him recover after his surgery. They also called us to always make sure we were comfortable with the treatments and changes in diet. He is all better now and we are very grateful for all the help and professionalism from Dr. Sun and her team. Our puppy also gets groomed at Front St. Animal Hospital. Not only does he look great afterwards, but he seems to really love it there as he always tries to go back in to the vets office every time we pass by on our walks. Cash grab. Another vet forgot to include a medication as I was leaving today. They tried to call this vet closer to my home to see if they would fill the prescription and they refused unless I paid them to give my dog an exam -- when he had just come from the vet and had a full workup done. Similar cash grabby behaviour has occured at this vet in the past which is why I drive 35 minutes out of the way to go to a more honest one. I wouldn't recommend. They care more about the bottom line than helping animals. I wonder what trade show in Vegas they attended to learn how to leverage peoples vulnerabilities to extort more money out of them. LOL. You need to be investigated by Marketplace. I should pitch the producers. IN RESPONSE TO THE ANIMAL HOSPITAL'S RESPONSE: Shoppers Drug Mart had no problem filling the prescription for $18 - glad you said no to filling it for $80. People, go to regular pharmacies to get pet medications - often they can match the required pet dose at 1/10th the cost.

Won't even let you in to talk with the vet in person, rediculous level of covid paranoia. Precautions are one thing, not providing service is another. However vet and staff are very nice and followed up over the phone. Would go somewhere else for sick pets ( like Downtown Animal Hospital, they're great and actually let one owner in with the pet) but this set up is fine here for regular course checkups. I keep going back here and I don't know why. Waited a week and a half for the vet to bother to get a chronic perscription refilled. When I asked just for the prescription that I would then get filled elsewhere, was told it would take TWO DAYS!! This vet clearly doesn't need or value my business and I'll be going elsewhere.

We usually have our pick of appointment times, and I feel like they really care, and aren’t only trying to get as much money from us as some others we have been to in downtown Toronto. We have gone in for little things like annual checkups, and bigger things that have needed specialist referrals, and I always feel they are giving us the proper information and care for our dog.

Excellent experience. Very kind staff. The veterinarians are very knowledgeable and suggest the best treatment for your pet. Also, they are very good with follow ups and best of all they work with trupanion which makes it really easy to process insurance claims

I highly recommend the front street animal hospital! Staff members are friendly and dr shannon was always very patient with me. She always took the time to explain all the testing and results, made sure I understood the information and that I was ok with it. Answered all of my questions, went above and beyond printing information from some of her books. She was also very kind when the results were not as good as we would hope. I had a great experience at the front street animal hospital and my dog’s health has improve because of the amazing work they did. :)

I wish I could give 0 stars based on my experience with this place. I was trying to schedule an appointment to bring my dog; however, instead of waiting 20-30 minutes for me to schedule the appointment, they indicated the slot was now gone. You could not have held off for 30 minutes. What a horrible experience - if this is how their receptionists are, I do not want to experience the rest of the staff at this clinic. It is disappointing because I live in the area and I have many friends with animals. I will definitely be letting others know to avoid this place.

Always a positive experience at this clinic. I have taken my cat there on numerous occasions. I am a health care professional and expect a high standard of care, as this is expected of me in my work. The front desk is always very friendly and efficient. The doctor I've seen is a professional and kind person, she is knowledgeable and communicates effectively. Tech's are also great. When I booked a dentistry for my cat, I appreciated that they were very clear about the nature of the diagnostic/surgical services to be provided, and provided a cost breakdown up front. I believe they overestimated the cost also, which is great, as it's always better to provide a quote on the high end, and come in under. I trust them fully to provide excellent care for my kitty. My wife has been with this clinic for over 3.5 years and after what she told me she experienced today I had to move somewhere else. My wife called in to ask if my cat's vaccination is up to date and someone at the front desk told her that all his mandatory ones are done for this year. She felt like he was missing something so she double checked her vaccination record with another vet we occasionally go to in Shepherd. Turns out that not only her Panleukopenia one was not done, her Chlamydia one wasn't done either. When my wife called back, the girl got so offended as if its our fault she told us the wrong information. In addition, I realized that this clinic overcharges compared to other clinics on Ontario. everytime i walk in, im AT LEAST $200 out. My friend referred me to another clinic nearby (which I dont mention here so i dont get flagged for advertising) and everything is nearly 70% of the price. LOL!

I brought my new puppy Bear to the Front Street Animal Hospital for his first Vet visit. I’m a first time dog owner and had a few questions. All employees were kind and genuine. They took the time to answer any questions I had and made us feel welcome. I spent some time reading reviews and asking people at my local pet store prior to deciding to take Bear to this Vet. I’m glad I did because the experience was wonderful and we’ll be sticking with this Vet to care for Bear going forward.

Good luck ever getting your pet in here if something happens to them... both times my dog needed to be seen on short notice and I called them they told me they are booking two weeks out... a vet that doesn't care for pets that need help? Ridiculous. Every vet that I have been to in the past makes time for unexpected incidents. Don't waste your time and money here. Find a vet that actually cares.

Absolute worst. Came here to get my cat neutured it was double the price then in vaughan where I was originally taking him but this was close to home so I thought I'd try it out. First appointment made me wait an hour said blood work would take 20min it took 40. Came to drop Him off before work for his appt she didn't tell me I had to stay 15 min as I was on my Way to work with a cab waiting for me who left. Called me tje night before and failed to mention that. I have an appt for my puppy I will be canceling now. Very unorganized. I now left a review and they refuse to treat my cat so if anyone has a negative opinion DONT VOICE IT HERE cause it will be at your pets cost. Absolutely ridiculous never in my life have I experienced this. I lost 300$ and half a day of work. Disgusting

Everything my friend Leo said below is correct. I have been to the clinic on multiple times with Leo and every time there is a wait so long that's just frustrating and demoralizing. Some incredibly rude lady called us when we were 2 minutes away and told us because we were 2 minutes late the appointment is cancelled while every time they make us wait 1 hour minimum. It is even more pathetic for the manager to twist facts and words, making stuff out of thin air trying to make my friend look like the unreasonable one. Unreal business. What a shame.

Yesterday my 14 week old Boston Terrier, Joey came to the Front Street Animal Hospital and we cannot have been more happy with how everything went. The staff is beyond friendly, all warm and caring with the animals, and humans. I had called that day worried about something with my puppy and they were able to get me in that same day. From the vet techs, to the Doctors, they all were amazing with Joey and made him feel like a celebrity. They did not try to talk me into anything that wasn't needed and made sure Joey was healthy and had everything that was necessary to send him off healthy and happy. Joey didn't want to leave when it was time to go, he was having so much fun. Thank you to the staff at Front Street Animal Hospital, see you soon for Joeys next visit!

This is by far the worst place I've taken my dog. The receptionist was extremely rude on the phone & on our arrival saying "oh, I remember you on the phone" with a snotty attitude. The vet was extremely careless.. On the check up she didn't bother to look at his teeth & barely looked at his ears.. Just touched them & said he's perfectly healthy after I told her about my concerns of his ears sudden smell. My initial visit was because my dogs paws have been badly infected for a while he's been in medications twice before which were both very expensive & both didn't work. She was extremely careless, when I asked her what the problem could be and why he's not getting better get answer was "I don't know, best bet is to try ANOTHER antibiotic & anti-inflammatory, they are more on the expensive side but these are stronger than the last ones".. She doubled the dosage which doubled the price.. She was right, very expensive..but not effective at all. I also needed them to cut his nails because I wasn't comfortable doing it with his paws in pain. First thing she said is she needs to bring him to the back & I told her I wasn't comfortable with that & I wanted to be there. Her reaction was scary. She was just staring at me for a couple of seconds, then walked out & got her assistant. Her assistant was holding my dog as she was cutting my dogs nails. She was very aggressive with him & cut too deep into his vain on his infected paw. For the record, she barely took any length off his nails. He way very scared & in a lot if pain. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to go to that woman with a sick pet. She does not care one bit. The only sweet girl that was there was the assistant that was there when his nails were being trimmed. She was very gentle & caring with my dog.

We have been taking our dog here for years, the location is convenient, there is parking out front usually, I would recommend booking for 8am if driving and u can usually park right out from legally. The staff is exceptionally capable and compassionate. Treatment is suggested around real needs and we feel pricing is competitive and not forced around emotion.

Quite stressed about it and front street animal hospital were lovely enough to call me this evening to DOUBLE the quoted price - about 15 hours in advance. Not sure what sort of idiot would accept people doing that but save yourself a bit of money and go elsewhere!
