Very friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. I moved vets to follow a groomer for my last dog who has since passed. I came back with my new pup. They don't try to upsell you or push products, instead give advice when asked.

Arthur Almeida

Great staff. Always really caring about our pet.

Ricardo O'Donell

So far we've been very pleased with the service we've received. Dr. Alison Norwich recently did an initial check-up on our cat and she was great. She was very thorough and didn't push unnecessary services on us.

Great choice, the staff is super friendly and you can see they love animals. The veterinarian's are nice and professional and very patient with my 1000 questions.

Vanessa Vella

I basically chose this vet at random - I had moved and it was the closest to me. They have been great and I'm so pleased. I'm especially impressed with the follow up calls. Sometimes they just call to see how the cats are doing with whatever came up in their last visit. Very professional and caring!

Daniel Stone

Excellent staff and service.

This is a special place, where the staff is truly passionate about delivering the best possible care to every patient. Their experienced vets listen to your needs and preferences, and will develop a health care plan for your pet that caters to your lifestyle. The support staff is welcoming, helpful, and always have time to show a little extra love to your fur babies. I always feel confident that my pets are in capable hands when we come here!

Christina M.

Great clinic with attentive and friendly staff.

Paige Symonds

The staff here are great! They seem to know their stuff really well. My cat is an absolute sweetheart to my boyfriend and I but basically hates anyone else. Even though she's a terror at the very, the staff still treats her with respect and finds alternate ways to examine her without handling her too much. It's always been clean and neat every time I've gone in.

I took in our 18 month old Silver Labrador Blue for a second opinion on an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury since we had received multiple conflicting opinions from our previous veterinary clinic. Dr. Stephen Avery took nearly an hour and did a thorough exam and carefully explained both the surgical and non-surgical alternatives and potential outcomes. For now we are going to go with the non-surgical approach since it appears to be only a partial tear and Blue is relatively young. This will include anti-inflammatories, Glucosamine supplements and movement restrictions in the near term. He even referred us to a canine physiotherapy clinic with a good record with these types of injuries. Well it's been 2 months now and Blue is just fine. We have continued the anti-inflammatories, Glucosamine supplements and movement restrictions and he seems to have completely recovered. I am sure he will never have full range of motion in that knee and he will always favor the other one when he sits but that is what would have happened even with the $3000 surgery. I will NEVER take my boys to any vet in Toronto OTHER THAN Dr. Stephen Avery. He is our hero!

Imola Ilyes

Excellent vets! They take exceptionally good care of our pets, and charge reasonable rates. We have a cat with FLV and the team here has managed his care with great professionalism.

Phillip Tith

My wife and I go there for our pups shots and check ups. We went there during a hard time when our pup had a heart condition. We were provided all the information and referrals to get our little guy on the right path to have surgery which was successful. We're grateful of the staff and Alison who's been very helpful. A smaller clinic and a bit of a walk there but it's a very nice place. Thank you.

Jessie Jess

Be careful taking your puppy there. Like many breeders, there is a 72 window for a health check to ensure no issues are present. Took my pup there 2 days later, she got a clean bill of health and a shining review. When I'd mentioned to the vet that she been tearing a lot since we got her, and that breeder said its associated with teething, but the vet did not see this as an issue, and chose my deductible accordingly. A month later, her tearing hadn't gotten better, so when she went for shots, I asked the vet to look again. Different vet, different answer. This one says her tear ducts didn't develop/properly and requires flushing (and anesthetic). Would have been nice to know this at the first visit, when it wouldn't have meant new and deep out of pocket costs, not to mention inconsistent diagnosis. But it gets even better, I explain my concerns, and there's a new interpretation of my pup's undeveloped/blocked ducts: A COSMETIC ISSUE. Huh?? I didn't know such issues even existed for dogs or that there's such a thing as puppy cosmetic surgery. Can't believe this place got such great reviews :(

Our first experience with Dr. Charlotte and the staff at Davisville Park Animal Hospital was on the worst day for any pet owner, the day our black lab Ruby was put to rest. My wife and I would like to thank Dr Charlotte and staff for their caring and compassion to help Ruby and us get through this difficult time.

If your dog is not feeling well and you don't have an appointment, don't go to this place. I have been using their services for more than 3 years, but when I most needed it they said they didn't have an hour and not even asked what my dog was feeling. It was frustating.

We have had nothing but great experiences with DPAH. Both Doctors Norwich and Avery have been very patient and understanding of our double doodle Benny. They have been open to answering all the questions my partner and I have had. They were even able to squeeze an ER appointment in on a late afternoon. They have always followed up with a phone call the next day and are all very friendly and knowledgeable. We like their clinic and staff better then any of the others we visited in the mid-town area.

Gayathri Devi

Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

My elderly cat got extremely ill in the summer of 2017. I took her in to see Dr. Norwich and through a series of diagnostic tests she determined it was lung cancer. Dr. Norwich and the staff at this hospital were very accommodating, patient and compassionate when it came time to say goodbye to my faithful companion. I am thankful to Dr. Norwich and the staff at the hospital for making one of the worst days of my life a tiny bit better. I look forward to the day when I adopt a new furry friend to take to their hospital for regular care.

I can't say enough good things about this vet clinic, they will never over charge you or tell you that you need something you don't need. They ALWAYS put you and your pet first, they remember you and ask you how you are and they make you feel very welcome. Even if they were more expensive than an alternative, which they aren't, I would still go to them. By far, the best vet clinic I've ever used in my life. A few years ago I had a puppy who had a very serious heart condition and less than a year to live. Dr. Avery and all the other vets were so wonderful during that hard time that I will forever go to them, even though I live downtown. When the medication was too expensive, they did everything they could to find me a lower price (even if I wasn't buying it from them). On one occasion, I had just gotten her registration in the mail, I sat on the floor and cried. Alison sat down and cried with me. I felt more support from them than I did from my partner at the time.

I am very happy with my first visit here. The doctor took great care of my two cats and the assistants were very helpful too.

Jack has been very well taken care of by all the staff here, who help him get over his nerves, and accept all the face kisses. Communication is wonderful, be it over the phone, or electronically. They've always been incredibly accommodating scheduling appointments. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in the area looking for new care of your beloved pet.

This vet office is a godsend! More specifically Dr, Steven Avery! He is the best vet I have ever brought my dogs to and i would travel here from anywhere in or around toronto to go specifically to his office! He Cares about his patients and their pets! He has gone above and beyond for me and my two dogs. I seriously couldn’t ask for a better vet! And his other vets and staff on hand at this location (AND LESLIEVILLE ANIMAL HOSPITAL) are amazing! They love my girls and my dogs actually like going to the vet - mainly because they get lots of attention! I would highly recommend you leave your current vet and come here! You would not regret it and they would not disappoint! Thank you Steven and Staff for making it easier for me when i have to drop my pets off for care! Knowing they are in good hands takes away all the stress and anxiety!

We've been taking our fluffy monster to Davisville Park Animal Hospital for almost ten years now and they have always been great. These are vets who care genuinely about your animals and aren't out to gouge. Thank you for being so upstanding and compassionate.

You can tell how a dog is treated by the way he reacts to a place. My dog tries to get in every time we walk by, and whenever he has an appointment he walks in smiling and walks out even happier ;)

Took our Pup there last week and had a great experience.

I have a pup with ongoing health issues who requires medication refills every 3 months, but DPAH makes this situation so incredibly easy for us! Also, whenever my little man has been ill, they have ALWAYS found a way to see him same day or right away, so the poster below just didn't give them a chance. Dr. Claydon is very knowledgeable and understanding, and I trust her judgment. Happy to have a long-term vet in our neighbourhood.

Shashank Iyer

Really nice and professional! Got my cat Phil’s vaccination done here and his neuter is set up in may. Very easy to book appointments and they were very patient explaining all the requirements and which procedures were optional so you can fit it in your budget.

Pardus Panthera

I was very pleased with the service and the level of care received at this practice. I was informed of things to watch out for with my two puppies and they were handled very gently by the staff. I also received a followup call after my appointment and an itemized bill which I appreciated. Your pets will be in good hands here in my opinion.

Davisville Park Animal Hospital really cares about your pet's health and wellbeing. They are quick to respond to emails and even call the next day to check-in on your pet after your visit. Vet visits are a bit pricey but isn't everything in Toronto? It's worth it though because of the peace of mind Davisville Park gives you. They go above and beyond. We've been taking our dog here since he was born. He's now three!

Not all vets are the same, I learned this over 8 years. I recommend trying another vet if you feel your pet is not a priority. We made a change in our babes care late in her life. We were under Dr. Alison's & her team's care at Davisville. We couldn't have been happier with their Expertise and Compassion. When you are caring for a sick animal, your world is turned upside down! Your heart & your stomach are turned inside out! So you need a straight talking Expert to help Guide you & your pet with their health needs.... So look no further then Davisville Animal Hospital!

I brought my cat Yogi to the DPAH this evening and I'm very pleased. The staff gave us a warm welcome and made my cat feel very comfortable. The vet explained everything clearly and gave me some very useful tips to help make my cat feel terrific. If you're looking for a vet, the DPAH is wonderful!

Very caring and attentive staff and doctors. They are really professional and love animals. I could tell when I saw them dealing with one of my dog that was unfriendly to strangers. My dog become very nice with the staff and doctors. My two dogs got spayed at Davisville park animal hospital. Prices are reasonable. Doctors called me and checked the condition of my dogs next day after surgery. I have changed Vets many times and now I found a trustworthy vet.

Sarah Karsh

We absoultely love this vet clinic! We ended up coming here for a follow up appointment after our cat had to go to emerge from being blocked. The two vets we've seen so far have been kind, didn't rush us, and didn't try to upsell at all. We had to bring Charlie in again because he had another blockage - they fit us in on a busy Saturday morning, and tried a less invasive approach (and about 2,000 dollars cheaper). It worked! Charlie can pee, and we got vegan winter coats to celebrate having a cheaper vet bill! Wahoo!

Lindsay Colbourne

Took my cat there for the first time and we'll definitely be going back. Everyone there was very friendly and professional

The best vet clinic in Midtown!! Dr Avery is amazing and we will not take our dog anywhere else!!

By far the best animal hospital I have dealt with. I have been bringing two dogs and one cat here since they opened and have never been disappointed. Their prices are the best in the area(believe me-with three pets I have checked around) and their staff(vets and assistants) have always been super helpful. I have never felt as though unnecessary tests have been recommended. In short, I truly believe they have my pets interests at heart while remaining aware of costs. They never upsell. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Kristen Milad

You pay a bit of a premium here, but only per visit and they're WELL worth the price! You can see in the way the staff treats their patients: their sole interest is the care of your loved one(s). They only recommend what's needed for your pet and will do everything they can to ensure their health AND happiness. We can't see ourselves needing to trust anyone else with our pets.

Aaron Miller

Our beagle doesn't want to go anywhere but here and we can't blame him. The staff is always so thorough and caring.

I began taking my dog and cat to this Dr. Steve Avery's clinic soon after he opened his doors for business in the Mt. Pleasant and Davisville area. It's now been about 5 years and there are so many reasons why I trust him with caring for my pets! I left my other vet after about 15 years going there because Dr. Avery manages his clinic not only as a business (as it's understood he is entitled to operate a profitable business) but he also truly cares for our pets! Dr. Avery discourages unnecessary costly tests or treatments and encourages non-intrusive treatments and natural remedies as much as possible! For example, for a year my dog showed signs with yelping from intermittent lower back pain for about a year at the age of 8 which at the time, Dr. Avery suggested that, for an otherwise very healthy and active mini-poodle in perfect weight (form), the pain was likely due to a pinched nerve. If that was the case, he said an MRI would serve no purpose as it wouldn't show such a problem. We did do x-rays to make sure there were no bone deformities (and there were none...not even any arthritis signs). So he recommended a natural Glucosamine along with a natural regularly injected substance call Cartorphen instead of chemical medications to try in case there was minimal arthritis causing this problem. When that didn't help, he recommended a very gentle human-used medication called Gabapentin. But that did not help. During this period of time, I consulted a holsitic/integrated vet to help my dog and Dr. Avery was more than glad to communicate with this holistic vet. Dr. Avery is also always willing to learn new information about new approaches to treatment or pet management and assess the possibilities of non-standard veterinarian pet health management that I may learn from other sources. By a year into it, my poor little dog's femur dislocated from her hip (which meant that the intermittent pain she had for a year was due to a microscopic misalignment of her femur in her hip joint that didn't show up in the x-ray). But with surgery, she's been totally fine since (almost 2 years now)!! Point being, Dr. Avery didn't rush to have me spend large amounts of money for an MRI when he didn't think it would provide any useful information or unnecessary treatments. Also, for all his services, his price compared to my last vet and a couple of others is often 1/2 of what the others charge. I can go on and on ...of how Dr. Avery is a caring, competent veterinarian. I wouldn't take my dog and cat to any other veterinarian!

Nikki Tan

Doctor Avery is the best. He always gives us very honest answers while keeping our pets first. The technicians are also amazing. They follow up after every appointment and are always happy to answer questions when we call or email.

Morteza Ahmadi

I've been taking my puppy there for a few times now to get his regular shots. When he got an ear infection it took them literally a week to book an appointment as they mentioned due to high volume of appointments they got due to COVID-19 situation. my situation is not a surprise, since my experience with medicine Canada is “just about the money” Doctors hardly care about patients unless they are wealthy. With that being said, i think it explain my bad review about this vet clinic. After waiting for more than 5 days that I couldn't take my puppy to a near by emergency animal hospital since they told me they're so busy taking more serious cases and I should take my dog to his regular veterinary clinic, I called their office asking them if they'll see him anytime before his appointment by any chance they finally agreed to have him dropped off in the morning but they'll email me some documents that I need to sign and have it dropped off the same day that I'm brining my dog in to check his ears so I received and invoice for $858.27 to neutering my pup...hello i never requested that?! So imagine how disrespectful this is. Yes, we pet owners care a lot about our pets so, beware!! Then as an apology I receive an explanation of why i received that invoice, like I was talking to a wall. Finally i received the ear check up invoice for $231.93!! Honestly, i dont know what these ppl are thinking how can you send invoice of a visit cost before you even see the pet but this is not the type of service you would expect from a person that cares about another living creatures’ health. Just stay away from this place if you care about your pet. I simply took my puppy to another vet a little bit far location but it cost me only $70 to check his ear and prescribe him a ear drop and he fully recovered now. I will never use their services ever again.

medic3040

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! I made a phone appointment and received an appointment for my dog on Feb 23rd for 1pm. I arrived on time, phoned them to check-in, then got greeted outside to be told the veterinarian took another customer instead! I was then told that I would have to leave my dog with separation anxiety for several hours, in order for her to be kept in a kennel for several hours, and only be seen later that day. I explained my dog experiences anxiety, and they had the nerve to suggest that they prescribe her Gabapentin, and that I walk to 30 minutes back home with her, only to return hours later with her medicated for another appointment. I explained that it took me 30 minutes to walk to the clinic, and that I would not be walking back home only to return later that same day. They told me that they would have to reschedule for the following day, at which point I told them their business practice of not respecting appointments was very unprofessional. Furthermore, their practice of jumping to medicating (ie. sedating) someone's pet was totally unacceptable. Please do not support their business. They are unprofessional and their practice of medicating instead of respecting scheduled appointments is unethical.

Our last visit was incredible. The vet was like Dr.Doolittle. She had such a way with my dog. They were able to very quickly identify the issue and prescribe treatment. The staff are so polite and helpful. My dog had an eye ulcer, they scanned it and confirmed and gave clear instructions on how to help it with the meds. They made numerous follow up calls to check up and booked another appointment. Was really grateful for their help.

Adam Blacklock

Had our cat in to have his tail looked at when he had a lump and had to be removed entirely. The staff from the receptionist to the doctor and owner were patient and happy to help with their time and in the end we have a happy, tail-less kitty. Clean, friendly and professional vet we'll be happy to use in the future

Katey Townshend

This is by far the best vet clinic in the city (and I've been to my fair share). Dr Norwich and Dr Avery are both amazing, highly professional and caring. I always feel like my two cats are excellent hands when I have appointments with them. They have helped my cats so many times with their chronic illnesses. I'll never go anywhere else!

Rob Keigher

Staff are so friendly.

My husband and I took our dog here for the last three years. Overall we had a very good experience until recently. My dog takes weekly medication and we asked back in the spring if she needed to do any blood work to see if everything was OK re: the medication, and we were told no she does not. Davisville Park sent us a reminder in August to advise that our dog was due for her wellness exam and a couple of vaccines. We just moved, so I called to let the office know, and that we are going to a new vet. We took my dog for her wellness exam in August at the new vet, as per Davisville Park's reminder. Everything was good, but then I got a call last Friday from one of the vet techs from Davisville Park to advise that my dog needs to come in for blood work because the weekly medication she is on may cause liver damage and suppress bone marrow function! I reminded the tech that we had moved, so she transferred the files over to the new vet (after we had already requested this in August). After I hung up, I thought back to how we asked if our dog needed to do blood work back in the spring, and immediately called back because I had some questions. I was told the tech was busy and would call me back, which she did not. I have now requested two call backs because I want to know if something new has come up with my dog's medication and why no one had mentioned this information back in the spring when we asked if she needed to do any blood work, but no one has called me back. Vet visits are very expensive, and I do not appreciate the service we have received. I also want to know why they did not tell us about the potential complications this medication could cause when we had asked about it.

My daughter chose this clinic because it was close to where she lived and had good reviews. Her cat was very sick and the staff at the clinic were amazing. They went above and beyond to do all they could to nurse him back from the edge and kept us informed and up to date at all times. We felt costs were very reasonable and you could tell that their focus was on getting Elliott better. It is due to their caring and diligence that luckily we got our happy ending. Sincere thanks!

Gina Bucio

I would not recommend this place to anyone that values reliability, professionalism, empathy, and care in a veterinarian. They were extremely rude and refused to see my pet anytime soon. They were offering me an appointment two weeks away. They knew my pet was really sick and they showed zero care or empathy and refused to find a time to see her sooner. They wouldn’t even recommend another place to take her and I had a really hard time getting them to send my cat’s file to the other vet I ended up finding. I had gone to them for a couple of years and they knew my cat well so I was very surprised at how they behaved during a time of need. I will not be back and would not recommend it to anyone.

Maggie Hall

Usually I hate going to the vet. It's expensive, worrisome, and stressful for your pet. But at Davisville Park Animal Hospital, I've had nothing but good experiences (mind you, my kitten is fairly healthy). The main veterinarian is an absolute delight. He's conscientious about people spending outlandish amounts on tests and remedies, and so he is always suggesting a plan of action - from what you can do at home to determine if there's a problem, and as a last resort, outlining what the more expensive procedures and tests will be. I've always felt welcome at this clinic and well-taken care of. Would highly recommend!

On Wednesday August 7th 2013. my 2.5 years old Toy Chihuahua was in labor that went very wrong. She was in excruciating pain, had very bad contractions, but the baby wouldn't come out. I rushed to Davisville Animal Park Hospital and we were seen by Dr. Elizabeth Davis ( the most caring vet in Canada ). Dr. Davis kept my dog on observation for about 1 hour, and after that she told me that my dog needs immediate C-Section, otherwise she will die, because the puppy can't get out naturally. Dr.Davis showed her heart and true love for animals, and she did everything possible she could, to help my little girl. Thanks to Dr. Davis knowledge and fast performance, vets were able to perform C-Section and they save Mom and a Puppy, so now we are a happy big family. Thank you Dr. Davis, and God Bless You, you are a true vet and the most caring person I ever met. Maltais Family thanks you for that.

The Veterinarians and staff are Gold Standard. They are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also caring and compassionate. They do what they do for the love of the animals in their care. Unlike may "competitors" they will not ever be frivolous with your pets health or your money. Always willing to answer questions and thoroughly explain. You will always leave there confident and secure in their abilities to care for your pets and your knowledge of how to keep your "kids" is the best of health. Wish I could give 10 stars!! Dr. Avery and his Team are truly the best of the best!

Austin Sonos

I quite like Davisville Park Animal Hospital. All staff are very professional and caring. It is evident that they care deeply for dogs and cats. I especially like that all procedures and/or tests are clearly explained and various options provided (pros and cons). I have never felt pressured to 'have to' do something without a clear understanding. It is evident that Dr. Avery truly cares for the animals he treats. I have never felt that my dog or cat are just a number, and I have never felt rushed. The location is great and just what the area needed. I have no hesitation in recommending Davisville Park Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a professional, dedicated and caring animal clinic.

Lia Macri

They are scammers! They almost murder my pet for a few hundred dollars they were trying to get from me for the so called testing. When I paid my budgeted amount, which in fact I told them what it was, not only did they put me through hell saying my pet is gonna die if I don't put him down using my visa while I was away for three days, but to find out when I returned that my pet had a full recovery within 24 hours and didnt need to be put down aftwr all. Im searching for legal advice..

Amazing care. Great location and couldn't be happier with how they handled my extremely difficult cat.

I had an excellent experience at this vet clinic! Everyone was extremely friendly to myself and my cat. My cat had an infected wound on his hind leg. He was showing no serious signs of infection, but his leg was swollen, slightly tender and a bit red. I had taken him to the vet down the street in which was a big mistake as they were rude and unhelpful. Anyways, once I arrived here, the vet was extremely honest, performed the exact procedures that I asked and did the best she could to help heal the infection within my budget range. In addition, they were very nice with allowing me to be in the examination room and they also were amazing with interacting with my cat. They offered him treats to stay still and gave him a mild sedative medication to help with pain. When I came to pick my cat up he was purring and looked happy (mind you he was probably a little high from the medication but still). Overall, excellent service and I am very happy to have found this vet!

We love Davisville Animal Hospital and the whole team. We've been bringing our Labradoodle there since she was 8 weeks old and have only positive things to say about them. Our puppy who is now 7 months old also loves going there because she gets huge , warm greetings when we arrive. You can feel the genuine love they have for animals. Our pup also just had her baby teeth extracted and I could not be more happier with Dr. Steve Avery and his staff. I also love how they make a follow up call the next day to check in and make sure everything is ok. I am grateful and feel blessed that our pup is in such great hands!!
