Seething with subjective, guilt trips. Constantly trying to push pets into cosmetic surgery which ultimately reduces pets agility and longevity due to stress. Not well versed in breeds and not interested in listening to your pet’s journey - which leads to an abundance of generalization and blatant ignorance. Really pushing to drive the bottomline - reminds me of a US hospital. Excited to receive passive “go to another vet comments”. Already planned on it. ;)

A wonderful clinic. Having just moved to the area I didn't know where to take my pets. This being the closest clinic I took one of my cats there when he developed some health problems. The staff was helpful and kind. A special thank you to Dr. Kristina Lillakas, for being so understanding. Sadly I couldn't save my little buddy as he had terminal lung cancer, but I can't stress enough how helpful and loving the staff here were. They understood and listened to me even when I was panicked and not being overly reasonable. One of the technicians even teared up when I had to make the hard choice and say goodbye to my buddy, Jack Thank you again ladies. I won't ever forget your kindness. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves their pets

I moved to cabbagetown in March 2017 and started with the Cabbagetown vet clinic shortly there after. Not only are they accommodating, but incredibly kind. They went above and beyond when my dog had an ear infection. At that time, I thought I would be able to have him treated and get his shots at the same time. Because he had a fever, they recommended that I wait to get his shots and only charged me a minimal amount for the visit as I would need to come back a week later to get his yearly. Today, my dog got bit at the dog park, not only did they comfort me (who was clearly more distressed than my dog), but they were incredibly gentle and kind to my pup. Thank you Cabbagetown animal clinic. Side note: I have gone to two other animal clinics based on where I've lived in the city. This is the best and most reasonably priced experience I've had.

I went to this vet because it is closer from my new place. The person working there is rude. I just wanted to buy some cans food for my cat. I really feel I was disturbing the girl working there. She was quite rude. Then the price for 24 cans food for an adult cat was incredibly high : 84 dollars. I end up buying nothing and went to my usual vet. Also the aquarium located at the entrance doesn't look very clean which is a pity.

We've had a million questions about the spay process and they've patiently walked us through it all. They've also been so kind to our pup, she still runs to the vet in excitement. I'd definitely recommend this clinic for folks living in the Cabbagetown area : )

We moved to Cabbagetown Pet Clinic because we were dissatisfied with our previous pet care provider. Right in the first meeting, we were very happy with their service. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The doctor was very patient and explained everything clearly and encouraged questions. She cleared any doubts that we had. She was very friendly. We even requested them to trim out dog's nails and they happily obliged as opposed to the last place who said they'd have to sedate our dog to do it. Overall, very happy we made the change over to Cabbagetown Pet Clinic. Highly recommend them if you live in the area.

I dropped of my little pup at the Vets for a check up and vaccinations. Everyone was very friendly and professional, well before the appointment. Covid measures are very safe and made me feel comfortable. The process is great, I received a great call from the Dr. With a great explanation of all tests done. Tests that can be done and other preventative measures. I also received a follow up call the day after to check up on the little girl. She’s doing very well, thank you for taking great care for her!

I can't say enough great things about our visit last night. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The vet (Dr Love I think?) was so patient and took her time to explain everything to me about my dog giving me recommendations to build her confidence. My dog was also very happy and playful when we got home and wasn't shaking when I picked her up (which is typical with new people). All indicators that she was treated with love and care. Thank you! We will certainly be back.

This practise is awful, they are mainly interested in taking as much money from your wallet as possible. They will ask you to do much more than you ever need to just to keep the money flowing in. The price the quoted me for the neuter of a mid size pup of 6 months old way ridiculous, they quoted $540 and yet the price for this service at a different Vet in Toronto is $225!!! The service is also very poor and none caring, I will never visit this establishment again, and if you don't want to pay way over the correct price for less than mediocre service I suggest you find another vet (there are plenty to choose from)

They took my cat in on an emergency basis even though they were fully booked. They were so compassionate and kind as I was having difficulty finding a vet who could see her on short notice. All the emergency vets were full and not taking new patients. I'm forever grateful for the quick and excellent care my cat received. I highly recommend them!

Have been going to this vet clinic for 6 years and truly happy they have brought on some fantastic new staff. They have always been great but recently it’s improved even more. (Why I decided to post a review now). My dog is always wanting to go in when we walk by, even if we aren’t going for an appointment. I felt as though I was being up sold with every concern. I tried to explain my dogs health history with her diet and allergies but it seemed to go in one ear and out the other. As the vet was up selling unnecessary treatments she expressed that she knew I was money cautious. Meanwhile I was just being cautious of her running up my bill with unnecessary treatments. Overall the experience seemed to be hyper generalized and not catered to my dogs breed.

in terms of practice, every time my pup was here she came back healthy and with all the shots she needed (in a very timely manner, thank you). however, there are several reasons i’ve chosen to take my dog elsewhere. first, every time she did a nail trim here only half of the nails would be done, all different lengths. you could really tell no ***** were given. though i do appreciate their flexibility. second, and most important, is the very misleading information they provide on their puppy plan. this was the whole reason i came here, this “plan”, the details of which aren’t available on their website. i called and they said they would sign me up soon as i came for my first visit. so, i signed one paper that said they would bill me from september 2020-2021 for a total of x whatever $ per month. the receptionist vaguely described what was included but it all sounded fine just then. what they failed to include was the second and third pages of the whole package they should’ve made me sign (not just the first page with the dates and price). when i asked to cancel my plan months later, they said it would take 1 month to cancel and they would only do it once the other employee was back from vacation. i was then sent the remaining pages of this puppy plan agreement, clearly missing my signature at the top. a bunch of new information i had absolutely no idea about, as no one communicated this to me at any point. for months i sent them emails asking what kind of services are included, as a reminder, and when the plan terminates. nope, zero responses. only a very angry receptionist responded to me when i decided to cancel the plan. thankfully this wasn’t an issue and i only had to pay the difference for the vaccinations and etc, which was no issue. long story short: i left this clinic because they are not honest and upfront. when you ask them for more information via email, save your breath and call instead and ask for the FULL details of what you’re signing up for.

Dr. Elmhurst is just the best - she is so caring towards our doggo and her suggestions are always spot on and she never pushes unnecessary things like some clinics - they're tailored to your dog and your lifestyle. Close to Christmas one year, our doggo split his nail and we had to take him in to get it all fixed up and the staff made him a festive bandage for his little foot. All of the veterinary staff are well-trained and friendly - you guys are great!

I am appalled by your lack customer service and empathy for people who take time off work, during a pandemic, to have an emergency situation looked at only to be told that I have to leave and make another appointment because I have an adjoining doctors appointment and they BELIEVE I will not be available for a discussion about the issue when the vet examines him. I will never recommend this clinic, and will certainly be VERY vocal about the treatment I have received after going to this clinic for years. I am just flabbergasted at the dismissive treatment I received. I miss their old staff. They cared and took the time.

Friendly, competent and well-managed - appointments happen on time, reminders are sent efficiently, and support staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Several vets work here - I have seen them all over the years and each inspired confidence. Prices are in-line with Toronto market rates - not cheap by any means, but these folks do haver overhead and have to earn a living!

We love taking our pets to this clinic! All the staff is helpful and responsive. When our puppy had stomach troubles, the vets and other staff were compassionate and followed up on how our puppy was doing. The staff take their time to answer our questions. I also appreciate their strong focus on preventative care. When our cat needed a dental cleaning, the staff proactively pointed out one of their preventative care plans which would lower the cost for us. Our pets are now both on a preventative plan, which means the costs of their routine care are predictable. We have the most experience with Dr Low and I like scheduling my pets to see her specifically when possible - I'm sure the other vets are great too, but we really like Dr Low as she's very friendly and knowledgeable as well as kind to our pets.

Money grabbing Vet clinic. They would make you come back again and again so they can charged and drain you for simple skin dog blemish! They wont answer your simple phone questions as they want you to return on your appt. I was really looking for a regular vet clinic nearby downtown after losing my car. My dog's regular vet is Secord Animal Hospital located at Yonge and Shepard. It's too far away now that I dont have a car but decided to return to them as I can't even compare how good they were than to this Cabbagetown Pet Clinic. Cabbagetown Pet Clinic is more concern and interested about your pocket than your pet...believe me! If you have not been to a better vet clinic you will think that they really care about your pet and the amount they charged you is reasonable. Try Secord Animal Hospital at Yonge and Sheppard and it will enlighten you.
