Dr.Black is the most knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian in all of Toronto in my opinion. He was the Vet for our dog Jasper for almost 16 years. Jasper passed away yesterday February 10th, 2017 of severe kidney failure. My wife and I are extremely grateful to Dr Black and his team for all their support during this extremely heart heavy time. Our dog showed us love all our lives, we had to show him our love back. Dr. Black was very upset and showed emotion during this process.

My dog was suffering from gastrointestinal issues (days with extremely loose stool). My own vet was booked solid with appointments so I called to see if they could help me get him some medicine (after calling many other clinics which we also booked and couldn't fit us in). All they said was "we are not accepting any patients at the moment". I understand that this isn't their problem, but knowing that they might have had availability and they are choosing not to see him is extremely upsetting.

We have been going to Black's for 15 years with four cats and two dogs. Every experience we've had there has been wonderful. The vets are competent and sensible. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They were perfect when we had to put our very old cat to sleep. Beautiful old building and a real neighbourhood feel to the place.

If I could give ZERO starts, that would be the most appropriate rating based on my horrible experience. Absolutely the rudest staff of an Veternarian/Animal Hospital Who would ever trust the care of their pet and loved one to this business?!! The lack of compassion and dismissive attitude, especially of the woman booking appts & answering the phone, that I encountered when my dog was very sick was disgusting!
