We've had a wonderful experience with Beaches Animal Hospital. We came to them originally as our previous vet wouldn't see our dog when he was suddenly very ill. Beaches Animal Hospital quickly arranged a Telehealth visit that was extremely helpful and informative. We thought our dog was at the end of her life, but Dr Dilworth was extremely knowledgeable and able to assure us quickly, over the phone, that our girl was going to be ok. Our previous vet could have done the same, I don't know why they didn't. Dr Dilworth's follow up care with our dog was amazing, he was attentive, responsive, kind and caring. It was very obvious to us that Dr Dilworth cares greatly about his patients and their families. We've since moved our new puppy into his care (we also had a great experience with one of the other vets at the hospital, a quick call and last minute care for our new pup). I cannot recommend Beaches Animal Hospital clinic enough!

WAY overpriced Our cat was sick, so we paid a visit to Beaches Animal Hospital. The vet didn't diagnose, he just listed anything he could think of that might be wrong. They he ordered up xrays and a blood test, gave the cat an injection, and gave us a (single) pill. The xrays didn't show what was wrong, neither did the blood work. Only the bill was an indicator: a very-much-out-of-the-blue $847. Cat is now fine, so I guess the hydration worked. Too bad it was padded in $800 worth of completely extraneous tests! But at least Beaches Animal Hospital got some payback on its xray machine and blood testing facilities...

I can't say enough good things about this hospital. Dr. Mark and Dr. Lehel were both fantastic with our sick Cat T'Challa. They were able to properly diagnose what was wrong with our little guy when other competing Vet clinics could not or gave us false information. Administration is lovely and you could tell that they genuinely are looking out for the best interests of your animal, not some cash grab. I recommend 100x over.

I have heard great things about Beaches Veterinary Hospital for years. Do I decided to take my dog in to see them. He has been having severe skin issues for several years. 1 month later, my dog is doing great! Not only did the doctor treat the irritation, he also found the root of the problem and treated that! Now my 7 year old dog is acting like a puppy again. And, man, he smells sooooo much better!

We were recommended to come here by a close friend. Even though it's not the closest vet to us, I am so happy every time to make the trek. We have been given excellent service and helpful information by all of the staff. Dr. Dilworth was the first to attend to our (at the time) 10 week old White German Shepherd. He provided all her vaccinations and treatment for the early stages of puppyhood, and performed her spay surgery. She recovered well with no issues. We have since been back a few times for different reasons, and we are always given great attention and care. Dr. Odell is fantastic, very warm, patient, and knowledgeable. The level of care is generally very good. The doctors we have seen in the last 12 years have been compassionate and competent. Expect to wait a long time for any appointment, however. They are usually at least 30min late in my experience.

I've been to a lot of vets in the last few years while I was fostering kittens. The Beaches Animal Hospital is by far the best! Since I have adopted my own cat, I choose to drive across the city to go to Dr. Koszti. He has been extremely helpful with a problem my cat has. He genuinely cares and listens then works with you to find a solution that works for all. The rest of the staff are also amazing! So friendly and accommodating. Hours are unbeatable!.

Wonderful place. Very caring. They call to follow up on issues and concerns. I've moved out of the area, but still won't take my dog anywhere else. Being open 7 days a week, most nights until ten, is comforting, in case of emergency. Prices are reasonable. I don't mind spending money on my dog's treatment, but I love that the Doctors are open to discussing options to find cost effective solutions. I would give them 10 ⭐⭐ if I could.

My dog ate the BIGGEST brownie ever. It was a Saturday, she was sick and shaking and we didn’t know where to go. We started calling anywhere close and open and eventually got referred here. I’ve seen the best reviews of this vet in a leslieville group as well. They got my dog to vomit and even watched her for me for hours because I was unsure if she was just high off the meds or comatose. I am so so so thankful for the staff. The staff there BUST their bums to see every animal. They work so so so hard and are just so caring. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

This place is truly amazing!!! I've been fostering homeless kittens for a year including two that I end up adopting. Dr Koszti and staff was doing remarkable job each time I was bringing a sick kitten. Dr Koszti literally saved my kitten life. They always very carrying and gentle with animals and always doing a thorough check no matter what is a reason for a visit. Dr Koszti is always vary careful with prescribing medication and diagnosis. He answered all questions I had (and I usually ask a LOT of questions). When I am leaving the Beaches Animal Hospital I know exactly why medications was prescribed (if any, because it is not always the case), how to administer them and what signs of improvement to look for. I have visited quite a few vets while fostering kittens, and I can tell that my cats never ever will go to see anyone else but Dr Koszti! Thank you so much for all your help!

I’ve been to a number of veterinary clinics through the city for my dachshund who has a death wish and the Beaches Animal Hospital has always been great. They take the time to explain things to me, answer all of my questions, and refer me to other specialists who might be able to be of further assistance (dentistry, neurologists, etc.). My go-to vet is Dr. Mark Dilworth - I can’t say enough about his quality of care. He is skilled, understanding, compassionate and honest. He listens but is not afraid to tell you the truth, no matter how heartbreaking. I LOVE the staff. Barb is my all time personal favourite but all are caring and compassionate. The hours are the best - open to at least 10pm, 7 days a week. I now live in Haliburton and we own a rescue bulldog. I still bring her to see Mark for all significant appointments. The bottom line is I really don’t trust any one else. I highly recommend Beaches Animal Hospital. It is the best ! Aug 2021 You are all taking such good care of sweet Bizzy, our rescue bully. Thank you so much for your support, love and attention to our girl. She’s had a rough life and she’s still riding the roller coaster so to speak. Erik and I miss that wee creature so much and I so appreciate the updates. I am immensely grateful for the time you are spending with her, whether it’s encouraging her to eat, play time, a walk, or cuddles. Thank you. Thank you. We are counting the minutes till we can bring her home but at the same time, we know she is in a safe and healing place. Thank you again so very much!

We had our first visit at Beaches Animal Hospital today and we were SO HAPPY with our experience. We were accommodated last minute for our kitty who was experiencing breathing issues. The receptionists were extremely friendly and professional, and were very apologetic when we had to wait a bit longer then our appointment time because an emergency came in. We saw Dr. Lehel Koszti and he listened very attentively as we explained what was happening to our cat and his medical history. Dr. Koszti asked questions that none of the vets we’ve seen in the past year took the time to ask, and he genuinely seemed interested in the health of our cat. He was very gentle when examining our cat, and didn’t push for any unnecessary and costly diagnostics. We cannot say enough positive things about him! It’s such a reassuring thing to hear your vet say, “If this was my cat I would...” We truly felt like he was caring for our cat as if it was his own. On top of that, he spotted that our previous vet had mis-prescribed our cats medication. The medication names are only different by two letters and he somehow caught it! So impressed with his attention to detail. Even if this location is out of the way for you (it’s far for us!) don’t waste your money going elsewhere! Best experience for us and our kitty! Well worth the travel for the piece of mind and warm service they provide :) Thank you Beaches Animal Hospital and Dr.Koszti!!

I have a newly turned one year old bunny and was very anxious to get a vet for him. It is already hard to find a vet for my two cats that won’t try to extort you out of all your money and take advantage of your love for your pets. This being said, I was very nervous to find a vet for Sirius (my bunny), as I wanted to get him neutered. Unfortunately he had hurt his leg and needed to get him check. This is when I heard of beaches from a rescue. His leg was checked by Dr. Dilworth and he was amazing. I am a student, so on a budget, and he didn’t push us to do a bunch of tests. He offered them but didn’t hint that Sirius would die if he didn’t get a blood test (happens a lot with the vets I tried with my cats). Also, he was very knowledgeable about rabbits, which is something I was warned about. Nonetheless, due to this great experience, we booked his neutering with them last monday, and he is doing so good. I find it really nice that there is a complementary 10-day check-up after the surgery. One suggestion though that I would have for them regarding the neutering warnings, would be to add to the reminder email that you should never starve a bunny even before surgery. There are some uneducated bunny owners that might actually starve their bunny. I double-checked with them though that they didn’t actually want me to starve my bunny (some vets apparently do starve bunnies which is bad), and they knew that they shouldn’t starve a bunny. I live really far which is why I am still looking for a good cat vet, but I will definitely continue to bring Sirius here. Hopefully I didn’t make too many mistakes, I typed this up fast.

The staff is very nice, the vets very patient and accommodating, they accept pet loans and pet insurance and work within your budget without guilt tripping. However, wait times are absurd and you often have to pester staff in order to assure you'll get seen, as I've been skipped once and have been left waiting for over an hour several times. They also seem to have trouble updating records as my cats previous bite warning is still on his record despite being obsolete for three years now so be sure to always check your pets medical records with every visit.

I have taken my pets here over the past 14 years. A dog, 2 hamsters, and 3 bunnies have been cared for compassionately and professionally. Dr Dilworth is hands down the best vet I’ve ever had. When my dog had to be euthanized, we opted for the home visit. He and his assistant made the experience so much more bearable and calm. Also they are open late which has been a lifesaver many times when unexpected incidents have occurred during what would normally be outside of other vet office hours. Can’t go wrong bringing your loved pets here!

Beaches Animal Hospital is quite simply the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. They work with around a dozen different rescue organizations to provide veterinary care for animals in need. We were introduced when we adopted a dog through Bullies in Need, Beaches was their vet of choice and since they already knew our dogs history we decided to stick with them. We are so happy we did, Beaches has been absolutely wonderful to us and our dog Wilbur. Wilbur has allergies and special needs and there is no one I trust more than Beaches to assess and recommend treatment. Beaches has worked with us to develop an individualized plan to address and prevent Wilbur's severe allergies from impacting his quality of life. Many of the methods Beaches has used are non invasive and inexpensive which we really appreciate. I trust that they will recommend what is right for my dog and not just what will bring in more money (an issue I've had with other vets in the past). My dog has a pretty extreme phobia with vets, but the staff at Beaches take the time to make him feel comfortable and show alot of professionalism when working with him even when is scared and upset. I want to give a special shoutout to Dr. Lehel Kozsti & Dr. Kliment Arnaudov. I am so grateful for them, they are by far the best veterinarians I have ever encountered. The way they work with Wilbur is absolutely amazing. They are so patient and kind with him, so understanding and they really care about his progress and quality of life. They are both very informative and ensure that we have all the information needed to make decisions about Wilbur's care. They both work late and have been there for many a late night appointment with Wilbur, most recently Dr. Kliment Arnaudov was bandaging Wilburs injured paw at 9:30pm in the middle of Covid-19. Honestly the dedication shown by the entire Beaches team is inspiring. I trust them immensely with the well-being of my dog and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Highly recommend.

I also like that this office doesn’t seem to overcharge for unnecessary tests - they’re really in it for your pets. My Cornish Rex cat, ELINOR, started having great difficulty doing simple jumps up to the sofa or chair. She had just turned 18 in May and I knew age might be a factor. Or a fall perhaps. Instinctively I contacted Beaches Animal Hospitial, where she is a client, and had a telephone appointment with Dr. Mark Dilworth who immediately put me at ease in conversation knowing I was probably anxious about my furry-friend. Mark and his team looked after our senior Morkie with care and compassion while he was with us. And now, they are responsible for the care of our two Ragdoll cats. My dog Bishop while running the woods, impaled his face and I knew that he needed stitches. While my regular vet couldn’t take him, I was left trying to find a clinic that could take him in and do the stitches. I tried 4 different vets and none could take him as they were booked. Beaches vet clinic wanted to see him at 2pm and I was a few hours away and would not make that appointment but they managed to find a vet that would stay until I could get there. The vet confirmed what I already knew and took him right away and stitches him up beautifully. Toning have to change his name to Scare Face but still my beautiful boy. I'd travel across the city just to bring my little darlings here (even though they don't like traveling) for the simple reason that the staff are friendly and dedicated animal lovers who obviously enjoy what they do. A dear friend recommended me to this place, and she's been to many others, and swears by Beaches Animal Hospital. The vets and technicians take the time to explain to you what they intend to do, the course of treatment and make helpful suggestions and advice in a way that you don't feel like they're trying to make money. They way they handle my (and other) animals shows how much they really care about our furry little friends. One of my kids had to stay at the hospital one night, and even at 10pm, I spoke to a technician who assured me the cat was fine and explained what his condition has, which was very comforting. They are also helpful in getting insurance claims signed and processed, and have even done so on my behalf. Really great hospital, with great people and service!

I am a foster for a rescue and I am glad that our rescue made us bring our foster here and discovered Beaches Animal Hospital. Been going here for about a year now. And we go often like almost every 2 months. Their price is comparable to other vets in the area, from what I gather with just phone calls. They have really good vets, but I would like to give an extra thumbs up to Dr. Beck. You can feel the sincerity and passion to get your pet well. There were a few times we had to wait, but trust me, it's not as bad as waiting in the hospital for people. But being one who had to crash someone's appointment due to an emergency, we've learned to give way and be understanding, when others had to go first for their own emergency.

We had to put down our 10 year old Labradoodle. Our beloved bubby. We were not happy with our Vet on Kingston Rd. We felt that it was ALL about money and upselling! I called Beaches Animal Hospital, knowing it was time for him to go. They made it as easy on us as they possibly could. They were sympathetic and open. Explaining everything that was going to happen. The Dr. took his time and allowed us to say our goodbyes. My husband and sons and I were allowed to stay in the room. Miles passed quietly and is at peace. Nobody tried to force anything on us or upsell us. We have another dog and we will be switching right away.

EDIT: The photos of my cats ear were removed. I did a lot of research on the best vets in the city and the reviews here are glowing which is why I took my cat here. I gave them 2 stars instead of one because the vets themselves are nice, they have good personalities so this review is nothing personal against them. However, my overall experience was not good. My cat was having issues walking so I brought him in: I was told it was arthritis and was given pain meds. After a few days nothing changed so I called back and explained once again the issues. After having to explain his walking problem in great detail, she realized it was a sign of diabetes (why did she think it was arthritis? Did she not watch him walk or do tests, etc. the first time I brought him in?). So I go back and they confirm the diabetes. They tell me I have to use a glucose machine every 2 hours for the first week of administering insulin (it's a device where you have to poke your cat with a needle to draw blood to put it on a device that tells you the glucose levels). The vet simply explained to me how the device works and how to perform the medical procedure, but I was never shown how to use it in person even when I asked them to. They also sent me a 2 min YouTube video which was of no use. Side note: when I got home, I called the vet office and said that I have questions. The receptionist asked me what my concerns are and I said that I need to know if I give the insulin and use the glucose machine before or after he eats meals. And also if I need to change his diet. She proceeds to just say "do it 10 mins after he eats". And I say "...which one? Glucose monitoring or insulin?" And she just repeats herself and she tells me I have to talk to the vet about his diet change. Obviously I know her response to my question didn’t sound right so I asked the vet the same question when I spoke to him about his diet. The vet said to do the Glucose monitoring BEFORE he eats and to give the insulin AT THE SAME TIME that he eats. So now this uneducated woman is giving false medical advice to people over the phone that could potentially be fatal to pets. Back to the original story: My sister and I attempt the medical procedure (glucose monitoring). The first poke we got no blood. The second poke my cat moved and the needle ripped his ear! We even tried the paw and we couldn't get enough blood and the machine just said "error" so we give up. I understand that right now covid prevents people from going inside the clinic, however, I think it is irresponsible for them to send people home to perform medical procedures without proper training. Frustrated, I call the clinic and express myself and they say there is nothing they can do to help me. I clearly need a demonstration so I tell them to send my documents to another vet. So I booked an appointment with the other vet. The new vet tells me the Beaches clinic never sent my cats’ documents to them even though they promised they would. Also, the needle marks are so big (below is a photo of his ear after only TWO POKES!! Imagine how bad it would be after poking it every 2 hours for a week). Alternative options were never discussed at Beaches Clinic. And If they are incapable of providing necessary services, they should refer people elsewhere; this indicates that they do not genuinely care about the welfare of your pet, only making money at you and your pets expense. I have more complaints about their disorganization, however, that’s a story for another time since this post is already too long. But I seriously think the clinic should re-evaluate its overall structure and especially the administration.

My first interaction with the Beaches Animal Hospital was through a recommendation from the internal medicine doctor my kitty sees at the TVEH. I used the Beaches Animal Hospital to board my geriatric cat while away. On Friday I made a call to my main vet to make an appointment, they told me they were fully booked, and that was it. I called Beaches and they told me the same, but figured out a way to squeeze me in. The person I spoke with put me on hold for a bit to put effort into getting me in to see a doctor (thank you!). I saw Dr. Lehel Kozsti, and he was incredible! I've seen a lot of vets over the past 8 months as my kitty has had a lot of medical issues, and he by far was the best. Very sincere, very honest, and very supportive. After this visit I've decided to continue going to Beaches rather than my initial vet. The service, the team, the overall energy at this animal hospital, you can feel that they truly care about what's best for your furbaby. I highly recommend this animal hospital! My dog Widget, has been with Beaches Animal Hospital for 13 of his 16 years and I can't imagine taking him anywhere else. We're now a half hour drive from the clinic but I can't imagine him being seen anywhere else. Dr Dilworth has treated both Widget and myself with absolute professionalism and compassion through many diagnoses (IMHA, bladder stones, prostate disease, pancreatitis) and I have always felt cared for and valued as a client. Last week, my dog had a dental emergency which required immediate attention late in the day and the clinic was able to promptly to fit him into the schedule. Dr Kozsti was very quick to diagnose the issue and kept me up to date throughout the process (which was very comforting especially during COVID times when you can't go in/be with your pet!). I've read good reviews and our vet also recommended this place. Decided to call because our pet cat needs a major dental surgery. However, the first time i called, immediately after i said hello, the front desk put me on hold for more than 6 minutes and i decided to hang up. Not a good first impression. I decided to call again after thinking hard about it, since i am also about giving second chances. Second call, right after they picked up, they put me on hold and i was just able to say "ok". Then less than a minute of waiting, either they hung up or the line got disconnected. I was really hoping they were as good as what i've been reading in these reviews, especially since our cat really needs help. Oh well. ***EDIT : One of their staff reached out to me and was apologetic. I appreciate the gesture.

We never even brought our cat to Beaches Animal Hospital, yet the help, guidance and follow-up that Dr. Dilworth provided resulted in his incredible recovery this past week. We are forever grateful for Dr. Dilworth's kindness and rapid responses. We contacted Beaches Animal Hospital last Sunday in search of an ultrasound because our cat's bloodwork came back with terrible numbers and he was acting lethargic. Dr. Dilworth reviewed the numbers and said that, though he could do an ultrasound, we should bring our cat to an internal medicine specialist instead. He provided phone numbers for a few that he highly recommended, then made an effort to refer us so our cat could be seen immediately. We had no idea how to proceed before speaking with Dr. Dilworth, but after he took the time to give us his recommendations, we acted quickly and averted a disaster. We still can't believe that our cat is happy, hungry and playful just 6 days later, and we have Dr. Dilworth to thank for this.

We were at this vet, not our usual one, because the rescue society where we found our pup has an account there, and they neutered him. While at it, they also removed a deformed toe and did a bit of dental surgery (all paid for by the Canadian Dachshund Rescue society). In all, we had to visit about five times, and every single time the care our guy got was extraordinary, always on time, very attentive and helpful, and they really listened. If we didn't have a loyalty to our other vet, we'd switch in a moment.

I don't understand the bad reviews on this business as I have been taking my animals here for over 6 years and have only received great service and the best care for my animals. I have used a lot of vets in the city and Dr. Dilworth stands out as one of the best. They are not the cheapest vet in town, for sure. But I don't want cheap when it comes to my animals - I want someone who will take the time to educate me on my options. And to give Dr. Dilworth credit, he always provides alternatives that are less expensive when a major procedure has been required for one of my animals. My dogs and my cats are part of my family and I continue to visit Dr. Dilworth and recommend him highly.

Beaches Animal Clinic were so kind and agreed to look at her on a Friday night during this pandemic. I would never consider taking my cats anywhere else. The best and most compassionate care for our feline family members. Yes - the wait times can be long however they also deal with emergencies. I have been one of those emergencies on several occasions. I completely appreciate the fact that my own vet can take care of these instead of being referred to the emergency hospital where you are advised of the emergency fee before you walk in the door. Regular Beaches clients know this and appreciate that there is sometimes a wait. They are not the cheapest vet but you get what you pay for. PEACE OF MIND that your pet is recognized as a family member. Dr. Dilworth and his staff are one of a kind and I would highly recommend them.

Beaches Animal Hospital is an amazing, caring place for pretty much any animal that needs care! The staff is caring and attentive, and they have great hours (8am-10pm, 7 days/week). They will almost always take emergency cases, even if they have to stay late. There are other vets much closer to me, but I won't sacrifice closeness for the quality of care that my dog receives. My dog(s) and I have been going there for 10+ years!

Amazing. Kind, professional, efficient...and so appreciatively kind. This review is delayed but very heartfelt. A couple of months ago my beloved Siberian cat took a very bad fall off a 16' ledge. The two emergency clinics I called couldn't see him (staffing shortages--what's the point of being an emergency clinic?). This clinic was thankfully open on Sundays and even though they were completely booked, they agreed to see my cat. I was such a frantic mess! The cat was seen immediately and held for observation and tests. Thankfully, he was shaken up but the injury was minimal. I was shown such patience, kindness and empathy--I am so thankful for the care my cat AND I received! The bill was also about 1/15th what I would have been charged at the emergency clinic. Such fair, compassionate and honourable service. Amazing clinic! Thank you Beaches Animal Hospital for all that you did for us that scary morning.

I have had to take my two Daschunds to the Beaches Animal Hospital a number of times and they have been very attentive and thorough with my furry friends. Their prices are lower than my other vet (King West) more specifically by almost $700 for a surgery to remove bladder stones ($1750 vs $2400), and they send all x-rays to a specialist in Guelph for further review, which my other vet did not. I always receive follow up phone calls from the Dr the following day to see how my dogs are doing, which makes the experience more personal as well. The hours are very convenient and they are very accomodating with appointments (often can been seen same day), where my other vets needs to be booked weeks in advance. I have already recommended the Beaches Animal Hospital to a number of friends for all of the above reasons, and will make this my regular vet.

We're referred here from VEC Vet Emergency Clinic Friday night - in a whole GTA and surround it was only place were we could get "next day unexpected surgery" to our senior (15 years old , and its was her birth day) cat! If you ever ask about customer service - come here! First call we got in our way to clinic - they were just checking could we find them easily (it was almost after 10 pm on weekend and we've being stressed out)! After our cat was checked in , we got all explanation about procedure. Next day we had a first call at 8 am with overnight update. And I was calling in clinic every couples of hour during the day - any and every call was answered in very welcoming, friendly and caring manner. Late evening, even we already had update after surgery, Dr. Mark Dilworth called by himself and told about how everything was. And by the voice you can say - "Oh this person is very tired", and of course he can relay on reception, but he called to tell us everything is ok!! And next (after surgery) day was the same - every time, every call - very friendly respond, with trying to answer for all and any questions. When we checked out - we got a print with recommendations and instructions about medications, medications itself and were asked to call to clinic and report if our cat will eat at home ( she was ignoring clinic's food), and again - doesn't matter of what time it will happened! Oh , yes, of course about bill - there was NO any surprise, NO "additional" unexpected tests, extra meds any hidden "government fee's" or ets, and here our bill was 25% from what we will be paying if surgery was done in VEC Vet Emergency! - it's if some one will talk about price! And of course next day we had a check up "how cat is doing?"... Two week after we had a complimentary check up and everything is good so far! Our cat bossing around and crunching her treats ;))! Thank you for all and everyone in Beaches Animal Hospital!

If I have to wait a little long for people who are truly passionate about their work, I will. I would also like to mention my mothers cat had renal failure while she was away. Thank you for your note. Pearl is eating well, playing like a mini maniac with her sister Dot, and having naps on my shoulder several times a day. Her eyes are still inflamed, but I am able to get her drops in. I have seen much less ‘guck’ in her eyes, and no ‘crusting’. She will take her medicine, but I am disguising it in little tuna balls as sometimes she resists her syringe dosing. I have not noticed any further pawing at her mouth or teeth. Thank you all so very much for taking the time to examine her so thoroughly on such short notice. She is such a tiny girl, and just is not as robust or as confident as Dot. Dr. Dilworth once asked me if I go out of my way to find the sickest pets to adopt. In Pearl’s case, I knew she was sick when I got her - but I couldn’t leave her or her sister behind. We have 3 year old Alaskan Malamute whom we have been super fortunate thus far to have been able to avoid Vet appointments thanks to his stellar health. For this reason we travel all the way to Midland Ontario for our regular vet despite living in the beaches area. Unfortunately we noticed in the last 48hrs that he something wrong with one of his eyes and we wouldn't have been able to wait to see our regular Vet this weekend so we called up Beaches Animal Hospital and they were amazing right from the start of the call. We were able to get a same day evening appoint so we could go after work and they were very efficient with the consult for Hudson, helping us with our Petplan Paperwork and dispensing of the required medication all for a reasonable price where we were more than happy to prioritize treatment over price anyway. We definitely recommend them if you are looking for a local vet and even your emergency needs. They have a great team providing great service to the Beaches Area.

My husband and I were referred to Beaches five years ago and have never looked back. We have two standard poodles, and two rescue cats that we got from Beaches. The standard of care and kindness we have received, from the front desk to every doctor we have seen, is top level. The vets are fantastic here but the front end crew never returns calls or places orders for the prescriptions we call in. We are told they'll be ready in 24 hours and on many occasions follow up 2-3 days later to be told there was no order placed. Unfortunately this happens all too often. I got med for more than double the price for the same med where you can buy it online from Ontario ($33 vs $78). and the quote for dental surgery is crazy as well. The other place charges about $1000 includes extraction, rinsing teeth and meds. This place asked for $1700 to more than $2000.

Took my sweet puppy Mia here last night for her 12 week vaccines. This was my first time bringing an animal here. I've never experienced such wonderful vet care before. All of the techs were helpful and happy to see you, and the vet I spoke to was wonderful. They gushed about how great she was and you could tell that they absolutely love their job and the animals that they see. All of my questions were answered and they made sure I knew what was happening and what was needed every step of the way. At the end of the visit, they even gave Mia a welcome package with a couple of toys and treats! I'm in love and so is Mia. This is where we will stay!

Found this place when my dog was in need of medical attention and when no other vets or emergency hospitals in the area cared to help us. Dr. Dilworth was the only one that appeared to genuinely care about her well-being and helped us through it. The care my dog received convinced us to change vets to Beaches. I just wished they had free parking.

As soon as you walk into this place it smells of wet dog and desperation. We scheduled an appointment to have our canine family pet euthanized, whereby told we would not be separated from her at any time. The first thing they wanted to do is bring her to the "back room" to start an IV. At our insistence we were not being separated from her at this crucial time, the young irritating girl admittingly pushed back saying we were not allowed into the "back room". If your child were having medical assistance in dying, would you tolerate being separated at any time! I think not!!! We left and found an alternative. On another occasion, our pet was diagnosed with struvite crystals in her bladder. One Dr. insisted our pet needed surgery to remove them. We found a second opinion and our pet was cured with a diet change. During covid, we needed an antibiotic for her obvious bladder infection, because she was 14 years of age, advanced kidney disease and basically palliative, did not want to expose ourselves to Covi-19 by bringing her to the clinic. We just needed to clear the bladder infection. Dr. Beck refused to talk to us over the phone and insisted we bring her in. We had to circumvent her poor and thoughtless behaviour by calling the clinic manager, Dr. Galbraith who gave us the prescription over the phone. Dr. Beck has a history of pushing unnecessary diagnostics and lab work. We really had to be our pets advocate to avoid unnecessary costs. The whole clinic insists on separating parents from their canine family when there is no need for it. I had the same vet in Stoney Creek, Ontario for 20 years and NEVER, were we separated. I was an Emergency Nurse for 26 years and rule #1 when dealing with pediatrics, is you NEVER separate parents from their children so why does this clinic and others in the Beaches, insist on doing it, when there is no need for it, what are they trying to hide? This clinic has on its phone voice message "they do not tolerate verbal abuse". This is a huge red flag, that clearly indicates they have a culture of doing things their way with no consideration for the needs of their clients, instead take pleasure in dictating how things will be done! Part of the problem is the grumpy person at the front desk who needs to retire and the young immature ,millennial girls who find pleasure in telling people what will and will not happen in the clinic. The people at this clinic have a great way of making an extremely difficult situation vastly more difficult than it needs to be. This organization needs to reassess their euthanasia protocol, among other practices, giving greater consideration to what their clients needs are not what they prefer to dictate. We are disgusted with beaches animal hospital, but for the last time.

Dr. Beck is the vet I usually see, she is fantastic, although I have seen other vets over the years and feel the same. I love their hours of operation I love all the staff, Barbara at the front desk is so kind and helpful. When we had an emergency with our son and couldn't grab our dog after surgery, she gave us wonderful solutions. Dr. Beck, who I normally see, is fantastic. She really cares for my pets and is a great vet! When we had a problem with my cat having blood in his urine, she had great communication with us and recommended we take the easier and cheaper approach and go from there. She very much cares for the pets but doesn't try to suggest unnecessary procedures. I recommend this clinic to everyone.

Beaches Animal Hospital and Dr. Mark Dilworth are amazing. We were referred to him specifically by our own Veterinarian for surgery on our 13 year old terrier. Not only did Dr. Dilworth perform the needed surgery, he also checked our dogs teeth and found two with bad decay that needed to be removed during the surgery. Had he not checked, our poor pup would be in pain and we wouldn’t know it. Also price was very reasonable, as we had another estimate that was three times their price. Can’t say enough good things about Beaches Animal Hospital.

We absolutely adore the service and care our animals (dog + cat) receive at Beaches Animal Hospital. The vets are amazing as are the techs. Their extended hours up to 10:00 p.m., seven nights a week, also make it very convenient and flexible for after work appointments AND often saving on emergency vet visits. We also find that they are very reasonable and not pushy when it comes to recommendations on treatment plans. We've had other vets where this was not the case so you really notice the difference at Beaches Animal Hospital. This vet is AMAZING! We were referred here after our dog fell ill and our usual vet is out of town. We were most impressed by the doctors, we saw three over two days. They were all wonderful, very knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all our questions. Dr. Arnaudov went above and beyond in examining our guy, making a treatment plan and making sure we had everything we needed to take him home for the night. He even kept him after hours to make sure he got extra fluids. Dr. Petersen was a dream! We really appreciated her honesty in providing an opinion, and she even called me personally to provide an update and answer our questions. And Dr. Kozsti was kind and efficient and make us feel really good about taking our boy home tonight. And all the support staff are great too! Kristin especially was soooo nice and personable.
