The staff is amazing. When my cat got spayed as a kitten elsewhere, she developed a bad infection (rejected the suture material? ). They took her in within 24 hrs and saved her!

Dr. Heidi and her staff are such warm loving hearts. I have been going to this clinic with my Chloe for the past 12 years. They have always given 100% professional care and the best advice for the care of our beloved pets. My Chloe recently just passed at 12 years old and I have now adopted another American Bulldog. She is a 7 year old rescue. She will be going for her 1st appointment this week at the Val Caron Animal Clinic. As for those who complain about pricing and being over charged, come on! This is a business as well. They need to charge accordingly in order to pay staff and keep their doors open like any other business. I recommend to ANY pet owner, get PET INSURANCE. Its the best protection you can do for your furry little friend. The only thing that I will continue to keep telling Heidi and staff is that the city of Sudbury ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES a mobile pet unit for euthanization in owners HOMES. I had to call a vet in all the way from North Bay to do that horrible task. Chloe was simply TOO BIG to bring her in. I hope someone steps forward and brings this service to the Greater Sudbury area.

Most uncompassionate, unprofessional vet I have ever dealt with. Gives key information only when you arrive and then are left to make a split second decision. This is made all the worse as they do not allow you to enter with your animal due to COVID. My senior cat had begun a downslide from kidney disease and a potential infection. The vet did not interpret his tests for me but instead gave me a call saying x value is high etc, without telling me what that means. I don’t feel this vet has a strong grasp of feline kidney disease for a number of reasons including lack of familiarity of potential treatment if only to improve my cat’s quality of life. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Needed to use this vet as it was the emergency vet that day. Brought my 16 year old cat to be euthanized it was a very tough decision but he was very sick. When I got there they told me he had to be assessed so took him inside. They called me to go over what they thought my first steps should be which included blood work and a urine sample. I was completely confused as my cat was clearly not well! They made me second guess my decision adding more stress to an already traumatic experience. When I called the next day to discuss my experience the reception was unempathetic and repeated in a rude/annoyed tone “I’m sorry you feel that way” They vet then called me and informed me that it was her legal liability to inform me of all options, which would have been ok if taking blood work and a urine sample was a viable option but my cat was not going to get better with any treatment! Making these types of decisions as a pet owner is always so hard and when this vet added additional stress and the possibility of hope by saying there were other options made me feel horrible and unsure if I was making the right decision. It isn’t about the money I would have paid anything take his pain away and comfort him, I wanted to make them aware that when pet owners are in a vulnerable situation it would be best to only offer viable options as the added stress, doubt and second guessing is not necessary. I truly hope no one ever has to go through this same or similar experience

Clean, very clean. After every visit I see them washing and wiping the exam rooms. The staff is well trained and great with the animals. Every 2 weeks my son and I bring our puppy to be weighed free of charge. I encourage you to bring you animal to the Val Caron Animal Hosipital.

The vet is very easy to talk to and has knowledge in her field. She is calm and patient and you never feel rushed. Mostly important she has compassion and empathy for our pets. The staff is really kind as well. This package is hard to find. Cost is maybe a bit better than some. Would say she is the best in Sudbury :) and open Saturdays !! Julie :)????
