Its simple. If you love your cat, bring them here. No need to keep researching and reading reviews. Dr. Baran and her staff care about each cat that comes in and treat them each individually with an incredible amount of care. They are all well trained, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. When your cat becomes a patient here, they treat it like a family member of the office. I do not do reviews like EVER, but when something is just outstanding enough to be shared, I just had to bring it here. Seriously, do not give it a second thought. This is the right place for your feline friend.

I’m giving Sudbury Regional Cat Hospital a 5/5 star! Back in 2018, My kitten Mazie got very ill and I seen her go from being extremely playful to being lethargic and barely doing her daily routines, her fur was very oily looking and she was constantly crouched down and looked like she was in pain... I brought her to two different vets here and Sudbury to have them tell me there seemed to be nothing wrong with her, where you could visually see there was definitely something wrong with her... I was so discouraged because I know my cat and she wasn’t herself whatsoever... I was referred by a friend to go see Dr Nicole and she immediately knew there was something wrong with her, what a relief that was! She took the time to check every possible thing she could with her, got blood work done for her (I strongly recommend PetPlan pet insurance they are amazing) and she also gave me supplements to give to her and she got checked regularly and she ruled out a lot of things it could of been! Thankfully the supplements and probiotics she gave her did the trick and she was better within 3 days of taking them! So happy with the results and so relived! Dr Nicole is amazing! And she truly cares about every cat that comes her way! She truly went above and beyond! And her staff is also so welcoming and comforting! Would definitely recommend taking your cat there over any other vets in the Sudbury region! Very happy with the service ☺️ Thank you!

Best place in Greater Sudbury to take your feline fur babies for ALL aspects of their healthcare. Dr. Baran is simply outstanding and her staff are all such caring, informed and modern thinking ladies in feline diet and lifestyle. We recently had our Buster Bear in hospital as he was 14 and very ill. He received the BEST care ever, however ultimately we had to say good-bye to him. Dr. Baran and her staff were just excellent - took the best care of him and us. Highly recommend taking your feline friends here - Our Sneakers and two new kittens - Tregul and Bygul are now all happy and healthy patients of Dr. Baran and Sudbury Regional Cat Hospital - Thank you so much for everything ladies! I just moved in Sudbury and i was looking for a place for my kitten for his first vaccines & to get him fix. They provided all the information needed before and after the surgery, they even called to remind me the night before at what time my kitten had to stop eating and etc. I brought him for a first check up and you can see how the employees love the cats! They pet them, they talk to them, they give treats, its just nice to know they care about your cat. We also had another cat that was older and was extremely sick and they really tried everything they could to help her. They kept her for a weekend, they took great care of her and called us a few times to give us updates. sadly there was nothing to heal her in the end, she was suffering,.. so they sent us a nice card with kind words for the loss of our cat and put a little bag with a few of her whiskers ... it was so thoughtful of them.. i have never seen such caring vet .. They took amazing care of both our cats , and the prices are also extremely good

The staff and Doctor are very friendly and helpful. My old kitty is sick and we are trying to find the problem without breaking the bank. They didn't even charge me for the second examination only the medication. I hope for the best. The next visit will tell. Great hospital to take your cat.

Great hospital!! I decided to take my cat here because dogs stress him out, and we usually encounter some at other vets. The vet and tech were super nice - they talked to me, not at me, which is nice, and answered all my questions without any condescension. I'll bring my cat here again! Also, the prices here are way better than at most vets. They don't mark up the prices of wet food like crazy so I'm buying it here now. I recommend them to all my friends!

He was in a horrible state of decline and it was entirely thanks to them that he got the medication he needed and pulled through. They are simply the best in Sudbury. Dr Baran is amazing. In all my yrs of owning animals, I have never come upon such a great veterinarian, except Dr J (RIP). She really spends the time required to assess her patients. Not just a 5 min in and out with no answers, like I have been used to with other vets. If she's unsure, she investigates to be sure to give the proper diagnosis. If its a quick in and out she charges only a small fee, not like other drs who charge for a full appointment. She also stays connected, via email, if needed. As others have noted, the receptionist can come off pretty strong in her opinions and seems to spend a lot of time running around not knowing what to do next. I've stood there for 10-20 mins waiting to be addressed while she runs around. Please, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't! It's a good thing Dr Baran is worth it.

— 5 star.......If you are looking for an experienced and caring Veterinarian to look after your cat we would strongly recommend Dr Nicole Baran. We found her to be kind and loving while taking care of our very, very ill cat Sammy. By the time we switched Vets, and brought our Sammy to the Regional Cat Hospital, she was already malnourished and dehydrated. After Dr Baran examined her, we realized how sick Sammy actually was. She immediately comforted and nourished her using a feeding tube so Sammy would not be so stressed. We all appreciated this very much, as it was difficult to see our pet so lethargic. Over the next few hours Sammy responded well, started eating a little on her own and was allowed to leave her bed so she could get some exercise. Unfortunately, this positive turn did not last long, she took a turn for the worse and stopped improving. We could see that Dr Baran was doing everything she possibly could, to help save Sammy, but it was just too late .So, it was at this point, we felt that she should not suffer any longer and the best decision for Sammy was to put her down. Dr Baran gave us the time to say our good byes and moment later our beautiful and precious Sammy was gone. We would like to sincerely thank Dr Baran for all the hours of her time and the compassionate way she cared for our cat and family. She is an excellent Veterinarian and we really wish that we had brought Sammy to her hospital from the very beginning, because we know, if we did, she would still be with us. We urge anyone who's cat stops eating for more than a few days to please take them to the Sudbury Regional Cat Hospital and see Dr Nicole Baran, as not all Vet's specialize in how to take proper care of cats. My cat got sick during a long weekend! I had to get him emergency care ASAP! I called the emergency number on the answering machine of my regular veterinarian just to get an answering service to page the on call Veterinarian. I did not get a call back! I searched frantically for a clinic that was opened. I found 2...one did not want to see my cat because I wasn't a registered client, even after explaining how sick my cat was, and the other said the same and gave me the emergency number for on call that I had already called! Then I stumbled across the number for the Sudbury Regional Cat Hospital! Hallelujah! Someone answered and someone cared that my cat was suffering! Dr. Baran was not in that day, but the Veterinary Technician was so nice and so concerned about my cat's well being that she offered called Dr. Baran in hopes to get advice, or maybe a referral to someone that wouldn't turn my cat away. When the technician called me back, and told me to bring my cat in, that the Veterinarian will meet me at the hospital, I was floored! Honestly, I thought, she either loves cats and can't stand to know one is suffering, or she will charge me double the emergency fee! It was the Saturday of a long weekend after all! Well I learned pretty quickly that my first thought was right! She was very caring and empathetic...you can tell she loves cats! And no!...she did not charge me double! Dr. Baran was absolutely amazing! I'm so happy I stumbled across her number. My cat is now a regular patient. I will not take him anywhere else! I definitely, highly recommend the Sudbury Regional Cat Hospital for ALL feline fur babies out there!

When I first heard of this place I thought it was wonderful. The staff were friendly and kind, the service was good. After I left my kitten to get spayed I got a call around 12 telling me that she had a reaction to one of the needles during the procedure (which was unforeseen). They gave her another needle to take down the swelling and told me that they wanted to monitor her just incase anything happened, which I was okay with. When I went to pick her up she was tired and hungry (we had to fast her the night before the procedure) but not swollen as much as I thought she would've been. I paid a full $265.00 for the procedure when I dropped her off that morning. When i went to pick her up they told me that they can credit the procedure when she came back to get spayed. I said no I would like my money back because my boyfriend was unhappy and thinking about taking her somewhere else. So I chose to have a refund. But I only got $169 back.. I called The hospital back and was told that I would've had a credit of $169 when I came back to have her procedure done again, but where did the rest of the money go? I'm just very unhappy with the way the situation went because what I see now is that I paid a total of $361 for a procedure that was supposed to be $265. I understand that the needles and medicine are expensive but I believe I shouldn't have to pay another full $265 when I only got a refund of $169. They're nice, but just unhappy with the situation. I did not go back. UPDATE: I am grateful that my kitten is fine and that the situation did not get any worst than it was. I have the right to tell my side of the story, and you have the right to tell your side as well. I have reviewed the invoice and saw that I was refunded the full spay and was charged for the cost of the emergency care fee. However it was not stated clearly on the invoice what the emergency care fee was, hence the confusion. From what I understand at the time of pick up, I would have to pay the emergency care fee whether I took the money back or not. I am sure this is all a miscommunication between the staff and I, but as I stated I am not happy with how the situation played out and was confused about the invoice. It does not state emergency care fee anywhere on it. I am not sure if the staff didn't explain the situation clear enough or what happened, but there are two sides of every story and I will continue to tell my side, I have the right to. I was simply giving a review about my experience with your establishment. I am allowed to make public statements about my experience, and I hope you understand that I will continue to speak freely about my point of view about the situation. I will not revise my original post. I was not happy about the situation and I wish there was more you could do, but I will not be a returning customer.

I've been with Dr. Baran since she started her practice in Sudbury. She, as well as all her staff, are very patient and kind. When I had my cat Katanalee and had to put her down it was VERY hard on me....Katanalee was 18.5 years. Her and her staff were there to comfort me and even cried with me. Then, hugs all around. Dr. Baran also goes above and beyond her call of duty, like when she came into her practice at 1130pm on a Sunday, in a HUGE snowstorm to help with my sickly new cat. Best vet.....hands down!

I had an unpleasant interaction with the receptionist while trying to book a consult. I wasn't sure if I should bring my cat in for assessment so I explained my situation to see if I needed to come in. Since this hospital specializes in cats, I thought it would be best to try it out. She immediately made me feel guilty for letting my cat outside in my backyard and blamed all of my cats issues on this. She basically said that I should keep my cat inside, no matter how unhappy she is inside or how much she cries to get out. She then said I could come in to get her assessed if I wanted, but I should probably just bring her to my regular vet. I did not end up booking an appointment here due to this interaction. I did end up bringing her to my own vet and my cat actually did end up having a condition that needed veterinary care. I think for a receptionist to be making these sort of comments is out of scope for her line of work. I can't write a review on the actual medical care provided here, but the initial contact did not make me want to receive the care at this hospital.
