I have been taking all of my pets here for many years and can't say enough good things about the Doctors here or the staff. Unlike pretty well every other veterinarian I have been to in the past, they don't try to overcharge you or get you to pay for things you don't need, and their prices are very fair to begin with. There have even been instances where I brought one of my pets in due to a small scare and found out it was nothing to worry about and was not even charged for my visit! Definitely rare in this day and age, you can tell they really care about the welfare of the animals and not just about turning a profit at all costs. Just wanted to give a good review where one was due, Sincerely: A happy customer for life.

I would love to give this place a 5 star rating because they were so good with my dog when she was really sick (she passed away last April). I called the other day to make an appointment to take my cat in since we think he may be diabetic and I was told that we were no longer clients. I felt really hurt by that since we spent a lot of money at this vet. I called everywhere else in the city and they were willing to either take us right away or wait a week and the prices were lower at certain vets but I wanted to take my cat here because this has been my vet for a while. It was going to take over a month to have my cat brought in here since they'd be accepting "new clients" at the end of the month. Ive never felt so disheartened. I'm thankful it wasnt an emergency situation that needed to be looked at right away but I'm now I'm unsure if I'll go back after that because that honestly really hurt my heart and made me feel awful...

Love the staff as well as the Doctor. They're great to my animals and are priced reasonably. You couldn't ask for more except better parking. That's the only reason they dont get 5 stars from me. There's no reason why I wouldn't recommend them. They've either neutered or spayed all my animals and my animals have all come out of there well cared for and healthy. They're now my regular vet and my pets are well cared for by them. Keep up the good work guys.

The staff at this vet clinic are great. They always take care to ensure my tiny chihuahua is as comfy as he can be, which I love, the prices are reasonable and the care is top notch. They always answer any and all questions and give the best advice. My only complaints (and reason for rating 4 stars instead of 5) are that: 1. It can be hard to get a hold of the office via phone. Not surprising since they are so busy, but I've found myself getting a little frustrated when trying to call for an appointment. 2. The ongoing construction of the new building on-site makes parking and getting around somewhat difficult to maneuver, so I just leave the car across the street. Heads up if you have mobility issues. Besides these, I have nothing but praise for the Martindale Animal Hospital.

We are so lucky to have our dogs in the care of Dr. Armstrong and the team at Martindale! He always goes above and beyond, is an incredible doctor, and it is clear how much they all genuinely care about their four legged patients. After our food crazy lab got into something she shouldn’t have he was very attentive, squeezing her in despite a fully booked schedule, and caring for her overnight on the long weekend. She is a very nervous dog to begin with but we were completely at ease knowing the care she was getting and she came home happy and full of her usual personality! We are so grateful and wouldn’t bring our dogs anywhere else. This is by far the best vet practice I’ve ever been to - they are always attentive, reasonable and incredibly trustworthy. I brought my cat Bryson to Martindale Animal Hospital to be put down. It was the absolute worst experience of my life. My appointment was for 2:45 pm. We weren't even spoken to until 2:50. Understandable. But then instead of showing me and my cat to an area to comfortably spend my final minutes with him, we were stuck in the waiting room with a bunch of barking dogs. Bryson was terrified. At 3:10 my girlfriend asked if we could be shown to a room to help comfort my best friend for the last moments of his life. We were told they had nothing and that we would be in a room shortly. At 3:15 we had to go into the bathroom to wait because the waiting room was now filled with loud talking people and like 5 dogs all barking. This was not even offered to us by the staff, we had to find it ourselves. And it was an unfinished bathroom, full of storage. At 3:20, Bryson was so scared that he peed all over, his eyes were full of sadness, he was terrified. We weren't shown to a room until 3:40, and once we were shown to our room, we were left alone in there for ten minutes, with no updates. Then the vet came in the room to sedate Bryson, barely says anything and then leaves for another 15 minutes. The final needle wasn't given to Bryson until 4:00 pm. FOUR PM!!!!! OVER AN HOUR AFTER MY APPOINTMENT!! This is absolutely unacceptable, and I feel ashamed that I didn't take my best friend out of there, but I was not thinking straight due to being so infuriated, upset, and the saddest I have ever been. Absolutely no form of consolation was offered, no sympathy, just cold looks from everyone involved. I repeat, THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! If a family pet is being euthanized, there should not be a dozen other appointments booked around it. And there should most certainly be an area where families can spend their final moments with a loved one, not have the final hour be completely terrifying and upsetting for the entire family. ZERO out of ten. Not one star, ZERO!!!! I am emotionally scarred from this experience.

He genuinely cares about the animals he cares for, you can see it in his face any time there is cause for concern or cause for relief. He will always be honest with you, but never pushy, and he doesn't try to sell you something high priced, he's in it for your pets care, not your wallet. I knew I was sticking with him when within the first few minutes of meeting one of my cats, he had her on her back in his arms rubbing her belly... She Hates people. A lot of my friends are with him, among us we have nine cats that happily see Dr. Armstrong. If you're looking for a new vet, look no further. Trust me. I travel from Capreol just to get his vet care in the South End.

They should know that dogs are suffering with this condition. 15 minutes was all that was needed and could not accommodate. I recently went through the awful experience of having my dog put down. This animal hospital did a wonderful job at answering all of our questions and making the decision to do this easier. Many of the vets that I spoke with tried to delay this by putting him all kinds of expensive medicine to keep him alive. this would not have helped him, just their pocket books. My hats off to a hospital that has the interest of the pets first. I will highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone.

They are amazing with my guy and reasonable in price, they give you options of different methods of intervention. I always say not looking at the costs if this was your dog what would you do. Our kitty wasn’t feeling well. Dr. Armstrong and staff treated her that day as they were the city emergency vet then. Everyone was awesome and they helped for a very reasonable price considering this was a last minute visit. (They could have charge us a fortune, but didn’t) Don’t worry, trust your pet to the folks at Martindale. Thanks again, Annie seems to be feeling better. ????
