As you know, we do not usually stop to place feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Super rude secretary. Don't be more than 10min late, you will get chastised by the secretary and made to feel like you are an idiot. Second time I've had poor customer service. Won't be going back. Beware
The staff was extremely thoughtfull in such circumstances, they really helped with the process today. Gave us all the time to greive we needed.
My girl had a run in with a porcupine, after-hours on the Friday of a long weekend during Covid-19 times. Thank you Dr. Andrea and staff for your care and efficiency. I knew that Heineken was in great hands and was impressed by how you managed us and the other emergency patients during these strange times. Thank you for the time you took to speak with me over the phone, while you managed and juggled other more critical cases. Keep up the great work, care and excellent client service, and of course for all the kind things you said about my sweet girl!
Best vet I've ever dealt with! My animals all love the staff , their great with animals!
I tried to get into a few other Animal Care facilities, but as I was not a client I was refused. Only one of the places I called was polite in refusing me, and actually directed me to this place. The staff were very friendly, and showed great compassion for myself and my dog at Barrydowne Animal Hospital. We had to wait 30 minutes past our appointment time. I could have been annoyed or upset with the wait, but the vet was busy providing the care required for the patient ahead of me. When I was finally seen, she acknowledge and apologized for the delay, then went to work on my dog. The vet asked important questions, and allowed me to ask my own questions and ramble on with my concerns. I apologized for my ramblings to which she quickly stated I should not apologize and I am encouraged to ask as much as I want, as the information could be important. I never once felt rushed, or that I was taking up too much of her time. She was very patient and attentive to my dogs needs. She discussed what was recommended, explained why, but never once pushed more than what was required. She acknowledged that care is expensive, and stated that they would accommodate my needs when purchasing additional services, as well as those required right now. I read a review about this place being expensive, and they trying to force a lot of products on you. That could not be further from the truth in my experience. I was provided with choice regarding what service or product would be purchased. I was provided a detailed estimate for a future service I wanted, and she even highlighted what was considered optional, and could be done at a different time, or not at all. When it came time to pay my bill, I was pleasantly surprised that the cost, although expensive, was actually what I expected to pay, and very close to what my co-workers had claimed to pay at other vets. I did not leave feeling ripped off, or taken advantage of. I felt my dog received excellent care and attention, as did I as her owner. I received a high level of professional dedicated care from Barrydowne Animal Hospital, and will be remaining with them. They not only identified the issues, but also identified what I have been doing correctly with caring for my dog, Amazingly positive experience.
Very professional but caring as well. We had to euthanize our dog (who was only 7 years old) and the staff was extremely sympathetic.
Had to bring out cat in becuse of blood in the urine. For an overnight visit to it cost approx 300$ just to collet urine. Im super greatful that they can help and with pain and test for problems but the cost is just crazy. Some people would not be able to affort to get there pet medical attention. The staff is great and very knolageable and professional but the cost is just not ok. No animal should have to suffer no matter what and money should have nothing to do with that.
Great service. The staff is wonderful.
Great and knowledgeable staff, all pets love them at first sight!
I have been taking my pup to barrydowne for almost 3 years. I recently had a very bad experience with the office manager, Kristi. She is a very unprofessional individual and for that I will no longer be going to barrydowne. She was very rude and abrupt to me and my father over a simple misunderstanding. When dealing with my pup, the last thing I want is to deal with a negative attitude and this office manager delivers an awful one.
NEW Co-OWNERS/ Vets of Barrydowne, I followed from their past practice because in all my years of owning pets I have never had such exceptional care and felt as confident that the advice was not $$-motivated. Quite the opposite. In over ten years of care from these 2 women, I have been talked out of tests and procedures numerous times based on the facts and the vet's transparency. Though it is well over an hour's highway for me to see these vets, although their previous practice at Walden Animal Clinic is EXCELLENT( highly recommend too!), I will gladly travel that extra distance for the outstanding care and continuity of care for my aging pets they've treated since puppyhood. I notice they have whipped the support staff into shape-as when they first bought out the previous practice the support staff seemed very curt and institutional. Now, they are very friendly and helpful as they should be. KUDOS!
Friendly and kind. Staff is knowledgeable and very involved with dogs and owners
Dr. Amber and staff were excellent. Honest and caring.
I have been using Barrydowne Animal Hospital for going on 10 years and can honestly say I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. The new owners have put together a great team including themselves and although I was already satisfied with Barrydownes service they have made a lot of very positive changes and seem to be always looking forward. I am a pet owner that when he has a sick pet he wants to be seen as soon as possible and Barrydowne staff do what they can to make that happen and pleasantly. They do a very good job at assessing your pets health and always give you options on cost and treatment. They have treated me with as much compassion as they can in one of the worst times in a pet owners life and they have shared as much joy and care as they could in one of the best times of a pet owners life. They are and will continue to be my choice of Health Care Professionals for my Pets.
friendly service even when busy
The staff have always been friendly, competent and professional, whether we're buying food or saying goodbye to an old friend
They took a lot of time with us during the loss of our pet.
They have been very helpful with improving the health of my cat. I had brought him in with urinary troubles and they were very informative as to why this happened and how to prevent it going forward. They also gave me follow up calls every few days to make sure he was doing better.
Excellent experience. They were thorough, knowledgeable, and up to date. Our switch from Nor is definitely permanent.
I can't even give Barrydowne animal hospital one star. This hospital has one thing at the fore front of their minds how to get rich quick. My dog needed a surgery just a little more complicated than a spade they quoted me $3300-$4000, and the vet didn't even go through the procedure with me the receptionist explained the quote and said the only time they can do the surgery is tomorrow if you want to drop the dog off. I got antibiotics from them 42 pills was $200, that's almost $5 a pill. Every time we took our dogs in they where always trying to sell us something. I just didn't trust there professional opinion anymore and there fees are insane. I took my dog to another vet in town the exact surgery cost us $1500.
In my time of need they made my dogs last days Wonderful!
Good but expensive
During both a trying and subsequent exciting time for our family we turned to the Barrydowne Animal Hospital. Their compassion for our animals was palatable and we have found our local vet. You would do well to bring you four legged family members here.
Very carrying people who really take their time with u
Thank god thier there when u need them.
I Very expensive place, and I did not like the care they provided. If you go here I suggest researching any products they try to sell you and looking online for better prices. The vets and staff themselves are friendly, but didn't provide me with the knowledge I wanted or needed.
Great service friendly pepple
My dog does not even get nervous going in there and everyone is very friendly. It seems theres a lot of upselling going on but if you know your pet well, you know what they need or not.
Amazing staff, the vet is one of the BEST ...love it here ????
Best care for my pet...all vets here and staff are amazing!
Dear Barrydowne Animal Hospital, maybe this experience for others have been different, some may disagree. Before coming to your hospital I was looking at different places to go and this one seemed convenient as I live in the area. I was told different things about the place, hoping they weren't true. I have not felt so worthless about myself or my pets. My pets did not have the best care, me being told they "Very possibly look healthy". What does that even mean? I would like to know.. are they? I gave you guys a second chance, both visits from the moment I step in the door to the moment I leave, I am being told about something or upselling me. I am there for my pets health, and I thought you were too. The vets there are not friendly, and not concerning about my pets. It felt like they were literally there for the paycheck. Not even talking about the main reason why I am there, they simply check their body and go on to "have you ever heard of..." I am now residing from this hospital, and moving on to places much more lively and affectionate towards my pets and me! Thank you for your time, I will NOT be coming back.
Very nice people!
Wonderful staff :)
Amazing staff great with dogs.
I have been coming here since my dog was a pup, getting the best care I thought, but I was mislead. Aside from the many shots, and meds my dog required, & constant reminders/emails for my dog to return for an annual something or other...as a normal healthy dog, I have paid in excess of a couple thousand dollars worth of nothing from this place. My most recent was a general stool sample, followed by a more expensive stool sample, to determine why my dog had diarrhea.. which resulted in no results from the hospital... nothing was found, you'd figure they'd credit you for wasting my money!! My dog ended up being allergic to certain dog foods, which was diagnosed by myself, with research, & not the overpaid vet!! This place will upsell you on all types of crap, to justify employing 6+ staff at all times of the day. As for the general hospital cleanliness, its substandard to what I expect. The scent of previous dog's piss & wet stink, is not the place you want to be bringing your pet if its ill, or a young age. The floors were not properly cleaned, & remnants of previous dog's hair, saliva was evident. I am a pretty patient guy, but I have had it with barrydowne animal hospital, & will be bringing my old dog & newest pup elsewhere, since I have only received over priced bills, & no results from this hospital. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!
When they spayed my dog they forgot to take the hernia out, and I paid for it, when I came to pick up my dog I asked why isn't the hernia removed, they replied with, there was a more important case they had to work on.
Horrible staff
While I didn't love the reason I was there, I could not have asked for a better staff. In an emergency visit and a difficult time, they were professional, poised, efficient and understanding. Thank you for your service.
We have been taking our Australian Shepherd to Barrydowne Animal Hospital since we got her. We are always so happy with the care that she receives. Any tests (blood work, xrays etc) are only done when necessary and the fees are very reasonable. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
Amazing team, amazing doctor, amazing ♥️
Great Veterinarian and staff! Very kind to my dogs and not pushing more services then are necessary.
To the people about to bring your pet here. This is a short one, went there with my wife for our pups second visit and I wish I would have read some of these reviews. Up sell, up sell, up sell. Can't believe there are people like this
They always take such good care of our dog.
Horrible unprofessional staff...Really bad attitude
Sorry about last review was a total accident ????4 yr old and an open phone never mix well.
When I had to get my 16 year old dog put down the staff was very compassionate during this difficult time in my familys life.
Dr. Lisa is a fabulous vet and we are very grateful for the services she provided when we believed that we were having an emergency with our pup, Hazel (who is fine - nothing more than a sore throat). Our regular vet clinic was closed for the evening and the Barrydowne staff was kind and accommodating. Dr. Lisa provided comfort and honesty to two very worried (and young, first timers!) pet owners. I couldn't have asked for a better experience during a very stressful day. Thank you Barrydowne & team!
Had to get my dog put to sleep and they were great with me and made it me feel at ease, but never the less it was not easy losing my body. Tks to the staff.
In my experience, this is the best vet in town. Always helpful and non judgemental.
Unfortunately my dog has had numerous visits to the doctors in the passed three years. So it's needless to say that she's not a fan of her trips to the vets. But once I am able to get her through the door, the staff at the Barrydowne Animal Hospital make it their goal to make Jade as comfortable as possible. They are so generous with love and treats for her, and information and guidance for me. They're an incredibly knowledgeable staff and they make it very clear that they have your animals best interest at heart.
I brought my cat in for an emergency and they were so wonderful for him. They rushed him in and gave us our options and were really kind to us in the situation. My cat is okay, and they call to check up on him. :)
They were able to see my cat quickly when she started acting up and I couldn't find any openings anywhere. I was a bit surprised by the cost when I went to pay though; I wish I would have been notified in some way and could have agreed to the general examination (with cost) that preceded the examination of the issue, and informed of costs of the few medications prescribed. What if I were not able to pay that amount? Not pleased but not displeased...
This is the only vet clinic that my dogs are actually excited to go to. The staff and doctors are very knowledgeable and genuinely kind. Worth ever penny!
Great service. Warm inviting atmosphere. Love your pets allot.
They took us right away when our regular vet they are booked.
They take great care with your fur babies :-)
Had Excellent Service!! Very caring and compassionate to both my kitty & Dog
Great staff
Very friendly and extremely helpful
Very efficient, compassionate and helpful.
I have taken both my dogs there and been treated very well, so much so that I have sent both my parents and in laws there.
Great place.
Love this place only place i trust with my babies ❤
The receptionist is not very friendly hardly smiles
Awesome staff.
Overpriced and no resolution.
Even with Covid19 restrictions all Barrydowne Animal Hospital staff went out of their way to always be gracious with a smile..our pet Jag always loves his visits there...Thank You All!!
There are AWESOME I wouldn't take Daisy any where else
Great staff! Super friendly!! My cat was a difficult one but they took care of her like she was one of their own!!
I have been bringing my pets to this business for 10 years. They are 100% excellent. The care is exceptional and the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. It's worth every penny to have that security.
To expensive
Had to go in on July 2nd for an emergency call. The vet misdiagnosed my cats problem and over sold us on meds ($100) and food ($80) . She did not address the problem at hand and assumed my cat was " stressed ". Cat was in distress all night and luckily my vet fixed him up properly the next day. Seems like they want to sell you food and meds to fix medical problems. Make sure to see all fees ahead of time and don't get duped out of $550 like we did.
Very courteous and all covid precautions done good job.
Always loving and 100% looking after your fur baby. Great place to bring your cat or dog. Well taken care of.
I brought my 11 year old German Sheppard into the clinic this morning. We have noticed a significant decline in his overall health in the past 3 months. Dr. Danyluk was the kindest Vet I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. You can see how much compassion she has for animals just by the way she interacts with your pet. This vet was down on the floor with my guy doing his examination. I was so happy with my experience with Dr. Andrea. I had previously read the reviews on how expensive visits were and my heart was in my throat right before Christmas. It wasnt expensive at all, very reasonable and I left with two prescriptions. The vet tech Bethany was absolutely amazing as well. She was bubbly and kind and full of compassion and empathy. An overall amazing experience. Thank you so much for everything
Honey (pooch) always has a good experience. As for myself, the staff has always provided good advice, and great treatment of my little buddy
Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my beloved fur baby today. I am so very grateful that the wonderful and compassionate staff were able to see my baby so quickly. Thank-you for being honest and explaining my options for treatment vs compassionate care. I am truly grateful for your team.
Dr. Andrea is the best. My dog Rusko really likes her..
I lost my bestest friend and they were totally amazing. Highly recommended .
No Boarding or kennel services offered. Not used for any service.
Love this animal hospital!!! I get friendly service almost every time. They are so sweet to my shy pup. They were also the only Vet in Sudbury to do what my dog actually needed done to her. I tried to tell other vets and they would just act like they knew my dog best and then prescribe medicine that my dog wouldn't take. THIS VET didn't, They listened to my concerns and saw what was wrong and addressed it in the way that was needed! They earned my loyalty ever since and that was 4 years ago. My dog will always go here.
The ladies here are always awesome and take excellent care of my beautiful lil fur baby ????. They're kind and patient with the pets and their humans and I've never had an issue with them once. My cat doesn't even get overly stessed out when I bring her to their practice. Obviously most pets do experience some stress when we do this to them, don't we feel stress when we need to see the doctor too? But anyway I always used to go into the examination room with my pets to help keep them calm and compliant with the vets during their visit and exams. Unfortunately with the covid-19 pandemic going on right now, I'm unable to attend her exams in person anymore. However all the people working there are great and are so gentle and kind with my cat that she doesn't really put up a fuss with them even when I'm not in the room and that really eases my mind to know she's in good company in my absence. I only put five stars since that's Google rating system but easily 11/10 for this place, always great service, with a smile too. I highly recommend the Barrydowne Animal hospital and it's staff to anyone needing domestic pet concerns and issues addressed.
