This office used to be the go to place but unfortunately since it has switched ownership it has severely gone down hill. Don't waste your time taking your pets here, they no longer care sadly. They don't give you nor your pet the time of day anymore

My dogs have been members of this vet since they were born suddenly yesterday our daizy Duke took a turn for the worse we called to have her seen and they said they wouldn't see us anymore because we hadn't been in over a year. Daizy just passed away and I will never ever speak a good word on this hospital again. They had a chance to save a life and turned my husband away.

My cat Missy has received the best of care from this vet for 10+ years. All of the vets there are very professional, and Dr. Binsky in particular has showed the upmost care and compassion towards Missy with her recent health issues. She treats her as if she is her own cat. The staff are very friendly as well. The are very busy so the phones don't always go through/ get answered. But aside from that I would highly reccomend them.

I have been using this vet for 10+ years and they have always treated my animals very well. I'm not pressured into doing tests that I do not feel are necessary. They are quick to get my pets in when they are not feeling well. Just recently I had to put my beloved cat to sleep and everyone that was there was wonderful. The prices are lower than other places and I will continue to go here as long as I have pets.

I’ve been taking my pets here for over 5 years and called today because my dog has a pretty serious rash and other problems going on and the worker on the phone blew me off and told me to go to a diff vet. I don’t think I’ll ever take my pets back here again, even for regular checkups because that’s just so rude to me idk

Friend has been going here for 15 years but we took in her puppy for 3 shots and she messed it up 4 times. The poor baby had to be jabbed 7 times and is still sore 4 days after the appointment and won't let her pick him up. He's bruised and swollen. Unbelievable.

Took our 6 year old pug there for an xray, he's coming home in a darn URN! Took ages to get a hold of them to even set up the appointment and when he became unresponsive they didn't let us know and wouldn't have if it wasnt for my dad phoning about 10 times to see when he was done his appointment. My family is devastated beyond words. Would NOT recommend

Regardless that I was waiting an extra half hour for my scheduled appointment. Dr. Moore is awesome! As well as the girls at the desk (too many names to remember)! I get the vibe that there is something lacking in the office weither it’s newer faster technology, or too many appointments booked. These girls continue to remain friendly and knowledgeable to all questions! I do not mind any extra wait time to deal with friendly people who enjoy helping animals. I appreciate all your work! Oh... and so do my rescued kitties :)

They have taken care of all three of my pets exceptionally well! The girls at the front are quick and friendly and obviously love animals. Today while I was in there I saw them deal with a man complaining about something that was obviously out of their control. They treated his idiocy as though it were valid, something I would not have been able to do, and even smiled through it! They are also very compassionate and caring. They don't guilt you into expensive tests or medications, and are very supportive.

This clinic is part of a "chain" of clinics. The level of customer service has gone down a lot since Dr. Plater retired and sold it. We are considering switching to another vet as we can't have confidence in what type of service and care we will get. It has become a revolving door for vets and other staff. Updated June 8, 2021 Since posting the original review we have had a chance to speak with the office manager and with the lead veterinarian about our concerns. Based upon our conversations it is apparent that Queensway Veterinary Hospital is taking our concerns seriously. While it is unfortunate that we had a negative experience originally in Dec 2020, it is reassuring to know that they wanted to understand what our concerns were about and will consider them when making decisions in the future.

I've always loved Queensway, never ever had any issues. But this last year, has been nothing but aweful. I feel like it's more of a "bitten off more then can chew" issue. Staff looks over worked, things aren't as "organized" as usual, good luck trying to call, let alone getting immediate attention when needed. Vet appointments which should be easy (ex.needles) are 2+ hours long. So incredibly sad as this has been my vet for 16+ years.

I can't say more about this vet. Saved my puppy's life last night. They are not my usual vet, I was in town visiting family when my Boston had an anaphylactic reaction to her lepto vaccine. I ran up to the door with her balling my eyes out and they just took her, no questions asked. She got antihistamine and steroid injections and was better right away. I was also very surprised at my incredibly affordable bill. I had just left my regular vet so this was a nice break in life for a change, I wasn't charged an emerge fee. If I lived in the area I would change to this vet. They are fast, professional, and handled my emergency incredibly.

After my wife and all her animals being a client for over 15 years... Today when we called to get final boosters for our new pup... Was told by staff to find a new vet to do shots. And then bring her back when they are not so busy... Well that's not ok.. boosters are due within a certain time. Can't change that. And to be expected to take my brand new pup to another clinic where I do not know or trust staff to look over my new family member.. unacceptable. Sadly after all these years and amazing staff. We are finding a new vet... Thanks for the years of service. Sad there is no loyalty to customers..

All of the vets and other staff here are amazing! They're very patient with my pup and always make sure to listen to and answer any questions I have. When discussing a treatment plan, they always tell me all the options to suit my budget. Definitely don't regret switching to this vet, I've had nothing but great experiences here!

I've been in multiple times with my cocker spaniel and everyone there is always very friendly and helpful. The vets I have dealt with are very down to earth and accommodating. Prices are reasonable. Very willing to work with the customer. There is usually a bit of a wait if you have an afternoon appointment but that's because they often take in emergencies.

Disappointed in my last visit. Found the vet to be rude and condescending. I'm trying to get help for my dog. I had to go initially to an emergency vet and needed follow up after that visit. Trying to book an appointment for the follow up; I kept getting the run around. Finally get an appointment because my dogs conditioned worsened and the vet has a the nerve to say she wants to chastise me because my dog needed to be seen sooner??? First of all I have been trying to get my dog seen for almost a month and had staff telling me it wasn't necessary only booked when I said my dogs condition seemed to be worsening. Chastise me? What the hell? Will be looking for a new vet in the very near future.

The prices are really good for animal care, which is usually pretty pricey. They don't try to push extra procedures or medications that may not be necessary for your animals situation. They're my choice of a Vet, and many other people's as well. Since they're so popular, they can be quite busy at times so waiting time may be involved. I find early to mid afternoon is less busy.

Queensway is hands down the best Veterinary Hospital I have ever dealt with! I was referred to Queensway by a co-worker and could not have been happier with the level of service and care we received! We got all our cat’s shots and neutering done here for less than another vet charged us just to "look" at him. They also clipped our cat’s nails and assessed his previously broken tail without charging us any extra. You can tell that everyone who works here just absolutely loves animals. It is worth the 45-minute drive for us. Thank you!

We had a sick cat and when we called in to have her looked at, they literally told us it would be over a month to get an appt and we should look for a new vet. Really not sure what happened to Queensway but I guess we will do as they ask. Seems like since the original owner has retired things have gone downhill like MANY others have mentioned.????

Our cat Molly that we were fostering required an ultrasound to determine the severity of a heart murmur prior to some required dental work. An appointment was arranged and we dropped her off at the clinic at 9:30 for a 9:45 appointment. We waited in the car in the parking lot as we are one hour from home. Unfortunately the ultrasound technician was unable to be there at that time and the appointment had been re-scheduled to the afternoon. No one at the clinic had contacted us or anyone else to inform us of the change. After a few calls to the clinic we were finally told of the change. Molly had her ultrasound and we got her back around 4:30pm. She has since had her dental work and we are now the happy owners of a healthy happy cat. We recently obtained a copy of her medical records and were surprised to see included indications of our frustration in waiting all day in the parking lot and having not been informed of the change. Timelines appeared to have been changed to indicate that we in fact had not been waiting all day. Hopefully this was not an attempt to hide the lack in communications. I know this is a very busy clinic and things happen.

They used to be amazing... but now its gone way down hill , I used to drive an hour to go there ! I had my boy there and from the little info they told me , he was stressed and wouldn't let them examine him so I went home with meds they told me to give him an hour before I go ( they said I wouldn't notice any difference but it would take the edge off for him ) well we didn't end up seeing the vet , instead they prescribed something stronger to try next time. Well 4 and a half hours later my dog can't even stand up so I called back and after 10 mins on hold they said well its probably the meds kicking in late ... the meds that wernt supposed to have any noticeable signs... still have a dog that hasn't eaten in 2 days and been to the vets twice to not even be seen at the appointment .

We had our first visit to this place the other day. Our old beagle has a few health concerns and we feared the worst. We found the staff all to be very friendly and caring. The vet that seen us seamed knowledgeable and genuinely shared our concerns. There prices we found to be reasonable compared to other clinics I’ve heard about. The wait time was no worst than seeing my own doctor. Thumbs up for a great experience with Queensway.

Great veterinary hospital. Not only great doctors, but knowledgeable staff. Great prices as well, especially compared tothe city. I drive from Hamilton to Simcoe for the great service. Staff have never steered me wrong, and they aren't quick to try and make a buck. They've told me to hold off going in to see if things improve, and I've also been told when they recommend I go in immediately. I don't second guess their judgments. Only only thing I've ever had wrong was a price discrepancy between the doctor(surgeon) and the front desk staff. Miscommunication between the two. I didn't want to start an argument so I paid and wasn't too happy because my cost doubled. But upon post surgery checkup I reconfirmed the agreed upon price with the doctor and they refunded the cost no problems.

I gave been breeding Chihuahuas For 16 years and have worked closely with Dr Stephanie and she is the go to Doctor for small breeds. She has done many surgeries on my dogs over the years and is so professional and knowledgeable, warm and caring. There prices are half what most charge and all the staff are so sweet and welcoming. Just a note to say my cat is doing wonderful!! Also, I would like to mention that this vets office the animals well being comes first and not the veterinarians' wallet. Thank you for the very fairly priced service that you offer to so many people who haven't the means to pay high priced clinics. I'm well aware it take years to become a veterinarian but it shouldn't be about what goes in their pockets. I don't know how long I shall have my cat in good health, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart and so does my cat. I will definitely let all those I know with animals to consider driving a little further for prompt and compasionate care for their pets.

They are not open till 6pm on Thursdays like they say. I left right after work and got there at 550pm on a Thursday. Called repeatedly, no answer and no one came to the door. It was empty and the sign said closed. That said, we have been going to this vet for 12 years and very rarely have an issue. A couple issues have come up, however in 12 years that's bound to happen and overall they are a good place to take your pets. I have been recommending them for 12 years and will continue to do so. Dr. Keeting is our favorite vet there so far, highly recommend her. Just make sure you get there super early because like I said, I did go there to pick something up on a thursday at 550, waited for 20 minutes just incase someone came out after 6, and they were definitely closed with no one answering the phones or the door at all during that time.

Prices are great, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Only reason I’m not giving five stars is because I’ve found wait times can be quite long. On the one hand I understand the wait because emergencies take precedence, on the other hand wait times in excess of 40 minutes (sometimes in excess of an hour) seem to be commonplace. All that said, the quality of care and value are worth the wait! One other minor thing: their popularity means that the parking lot and waiting room can be full—this isn’t a fault necessarily, just something to be aware of.

I must say Queensway vet has to be one of the most caring and great vets ive been to my dog were in a accident 2 weeks ago one died and other ended up having to.loose her rear leg. They were so extremely understanding and worked with me for payments. they did such an amazing job on my lola she had no conplications and shes healing up great. Some of your receptionists need to recognize when something is an emergency and get your pet in to see the vet. I had a cat that had very rapid and loud breathing, was not interested in food or water and was hiding. If it was up to one of the receptionists, at first I could not get in until September and after I complained, she found a cancellation for the next week, which was not acceptable. I was also told to take the cat to another vet clinic. Fortunately, I did get in the same day thanks to another staff member. He was given injections and taken home. Unfortunately, injections did not work and got the cat back in for xrays to find out that he had other internal issues and was not going to make it. The vet helped him go to kitty heaven. Thanks to the vet for taking care of my cat. The vet and the other staff member gets a 5 star rating, the receptionist gets a zero rating.

I have not had a bad experience with any of the vets on staff. They take emergencies without gouging people--there's no "emergency" charge-- and try to accommodate walk-ins. The vets use common sense and you are not pressured. Great place.

I have both my cat Tyler and my dog Casper as patients . I have found that the doctors do not push unnecessary treatment and they really try to stick to a budget, while taking very good care of your pets. It can sometimes be difficult to be a pet owner due to very high veterinary costs. This particular clinic has taken a different approach. By being affordable, it allows pet owners to be more diligent and pets better taken care of. I have always found the staff to be very courteous and diligent when I need assistance via telephone.. Yes, there may sometimes be waiting time, however we have to be mindful of the fact that they are very busy and sometimes appointments take longer than expected. I drive 45 min to see them and have never regretted it. Keep up the GOOD job !
