Would not sell me a cone for my dog unless I brought him in for a check up. He didnt need a check up just some basic care a parent would give a child. Not needing a doctor but girl on phone insisted my dog needed care and will not sell a cone. Dont take your kids for a scratch...you dont take a pet for a scratch.

I had to go to the vet for my older dog who has a serious tumor. We were treated very respectfully and the vet explained what can be done for a dog and the various tests that need to occur before a decision can be made. She was very pleasant and showed compassion for our dog which is important to us. I highly recommend this veterinary practice.

He loves his orange ball so much, he broke his nail and there was nothing we could do. We walked in and had never been there before. The team was incredible, and the service, calm and care provided by Dr. Laura Rodger and the staff was magnificent. It was sheer trauma, replaced with care, and professionalism. They are the best and we are blessed to have them here.

They are very friendly and supportive of my elderly mother, they even let her make payments without interest as she can afford to pay them. Beautiful quiet location by the lake and park. Great place to hotel your best friend if you need to travel and they have no where else to stay.

I love the staff at this facility. Treat each pet as if they were treating their own. I use to drive 1.5hrs just for their service. They aren't pushy at all and want the best for the animals they treat

Claim they offer emergency services but when you have an emergency they refuse to see your pet. Reason given (after a run around) was too much time has passed since last appointment so we are no longer considered clients and 'they aren't taking on new clients' even though they still have our files because they are our regular vet. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional, I've seen other reviews where they tried to force unnecessary service in order to purchase regular items (cone), had we known this in the past we would have never gone here in the first place. We were left scrambling to seek care for our extremely sick dog, hopefully we find help, thanks for nothing Dover animal hospital. If you value your pet don't take them here, find a vet that cares for their clients, this isn't it.

I really like Dover Animal Hospital. They are very friendly and great with my pets. I've been told that they are really expensive but I've found that they are significantly cheaper then other vets and they do blood work on site and get results the same day. I am so happy I'm bringing my pets to them. I recommend their services to any pet owner.

A year ago we took our 16-year-old Siamese cat to the vet, figuring it was a one-way trip, as he was very unwell, not eating, throwing up, very skinny, losing fur, etc. The doctor diagnosed him with kidney failure. We assumed he would have to be put to sleep, but no, the doctors at Dover Animal Hospital have treated him with medication and special food that is easy on his kidneys, and this has made a huge difference! We are amazed that he is still doing so well. I find the staff friendly, caring, helpful, and the doctors are amazing. I would definitely recommend this vet!!
