I took my dog Pablo to Markham Road Animal Hospital several times and service has been nothing less of exceptional. The Staff are very Friendly and the Veterinarians are incredible. My dog had several fairly complex procedures and none ever resulted in any complications. The hospital is well equipped and caters to virtually all of your veterinary needs. 10/10 I recommend this place to anyone that has a pet is not sure where to bring them.

The Markham Road Animal Hospital has the best friendly service, the most knowledgeable staff and all at a very reasonable price. Dr. Goldstein, Dr.Cowan and the great team members have been fantastic over the many years for my 2 dogs (Male German Shep Mix and Female Small Husky) and kitty-cat (Female Tabby). The care and follow-up phone calls are wonderful and certainly make you feel reassured & comfortable (and even when you call post op, for whatever reason, you never feel that they are too busy for your concerns). I've brought my pets in for regular checks-ups, spaying and neutering, to emergency care (that could have potentially been very stressful had I gone somewhere else... I've had expensive, bad experiences with other clinics in the past, as many pet owners have). The Markham Road Animal Clinic staff are honest people, who truly go above and beyond to ensure your pet's recovery and care. I have recomended them to my family, friends & personal clients over the years and highly recommend still... they are the best!

I've been bringing all my cats here their whole lives and I wouldn't want to take them anywhere else. Dr. Goldstein is kind, knowledgeable, experienced and generous with his time. His staff are wonderful too. They all know their stuff and they really care, and you don't always get the latter. They just love animals. Since I started cat rescue, I've brought a few fosters cats and some cats right off the street to them. Sometimes, when they weren't too busy, they didn't even charge for the quick exam for the rescues. Everyone is patient and happy to explain everything to you and answer questions. They really listen. I always feel reassured and confident that I know what's going on and that my fur babies are in safe hands. And it doesn't end when you walk out the door... they are excellent at following up with you as well. Dr. Goldstein has done many phone consults over the years. The prices are also reasonable too.

First time going to this Veterinarian because my regular veterinarian was fully booked for the week. But I wanted an earlier appointment to make sure my son was good health after he started sneezing alot. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The veterinarian that saw my boy seemed very informative, helpful and respectful. He provided a great explanation for the symptoms and gave me a prescription for him. Overall I had a great experience and hopefully my son gets better soon.

This is based on my first experience with the staff at Markham Road Animal Hospital. Off a recommendation from another Animal Hospital, I called early Monday morning to see if they could take my 6 year old dog, Coco, in for an emergency procedure. Kyle was accommodating and compassionate. After asking a few questions, he managed to find time in Dr. Goldstein’s schedule to see Coco that day. I couldn’t be happier with the service here. The staff was friendly, caring, and showed genuine interest in Coco’s history. After explaining in detail the breakdown in cost & the steps of the small surgery, I was put at ease and felt comfortable leaving my dog there for her procedure. Upon pickup, Dr. Goldstein came out and answered any and all questions we had. He encouraged us to call him at any time if we had more questions or concerns. Thank you to the staff at Markham Road Animal Hospital! We will be bringing Coco here from now on because of your warm hospitality, professionalism, and compassion.

I called today to see if I can squeeze my dog, Yoshi, in for an appointment since he had fractured his tooth. Kyle was super helpful with getting me into the schedule and Dr. Goldstein made sure to understand my dogma previous medical history so he could provide the best medical advice. I'm not a regular at this clinic, but my 5 month old puppy had a split baby tooth that needed to be pulled, my regular vet quoted me $1000, while others quoted $1200-1500. They all stated she needed to go under general anesthesia and dental surgery. When I called here the vet looked at the pictures and offered a free exam within an hour and had the tooth pulled within the same time, saying there was no need for anesthesia. I really appreciate the honesty and willingness to help by this clinic and plan to make this my regular clinic

Dr. R. Goldstein and staff are exceptional in their caregiving. We live in the west end of the city and travel 32km for our pet care needs. We have taken all of our pet companions here. Our last companion, a Bernese Mountain Dog rescue recently passed, (euthanasied due to agressive cancer). During his last moments, the level of compassion and care was truly appreciate. Dr. Goldstein closed the office and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our loyal friend. We thank you and your staff.

I went here not too long ago. But even from when my dog was just months old the Dr was very gentle, caring and has an excellent way of effectively communicating with the pet owners. Due to the fact the our vet we were going to Morningside Pet Hospital went downhill after Dr. Varley left. with some research we also found out that the Veterinary office was bought out by Mars (candy bars) My pets health was declining due to the inexperience and lack of care. I took my Dog to see Dr. Cowan for the first time because I was looking for a vet that had experience and truly loves animals. He has that in spades. As soon as I walked in I had a overwhelming sense that I'm in a wonderful place. The Doctors are professional and amazing at finding a problem and fixing it. My dog had a issue with her skin with patience and time my Harley has her hair growing back her skin looks great. I am truly grateful for that staff. I personally want to thank Kyle for being patient with myself and husband we appreciate it so much Kyle and Nicole for being kind, professional always there if we have a question and Dr. Cowan for getting my pet back to health

So helpful and so accommodating to their patients. Helped me so much when getting my pet from one country to another with all the documents and requirements. Kyle is so professional and I definately recommend bringing your pets here ! I absolutely spoil my cat ???? from treats, toys, cuddles to a luxury plane trip back home to his momma. Covid 19 separated us and kept us apart for 2 years. It was especially difficult because my cat was to be registered as my service animal right before we separated but the paperwork could not be completed. I'm so grateful that Doctor Goldstein was there to take care of my Fur baby before his trip as my cat was so scared. But my cat is groomed and ready to see me and is travelling for a 3 day journey back home and I can't wait to have him back. Thank you so much to the team at Markham road animal hospital for helping reunite me and my cat scroopy while I am overseas. I've had scroopy since he was a little kitten, and hes all grown now. Thank you for taking such good care of Scroopy ! He's on his plane back to his momma now ???? !

My dog was in pain with a leg issue, my usual vet was not responding, i phoned 6 clinics trying to get him treatment, Markham Rd had an appointment; I had no idea what to expect, i just knew my doggo needed a vet NOW. They had him diagnosed (verified w/xrays) within an hour. Covid protocols meant i had to consult w/the vet over the phone, he was very helpful taking the time explaining the issue, options and pricing (no pet insurance) as well as discussing pre-existing treatment with recommendations. They offered to schedule a specialist as soon as is practical in my case and I left with meds to help in hand. Thank-you for taking care of my pup! Will do so again!

I refuse to visit any other vet! I’ve been to many different vets throughout my 13 year old dog’s life and I found most of them to be a scam. They’d tell me my dog needs thousands of dollars worth of treatment. Ever since coming to this vet, they’ve always explained to me what my dog needs and why. Today I had to rush my baby boy to out Vet. I was an absolute wreck. The receptionist whom answered my call was absolutley amazing with me as I was trying to collect myself enough to talk she was so patient. When i brought ny baby in both the receptionist and ACA were so great with me and my baby boy. The doctor who saw my baby was also amazing and called me to give me an update. Dr ROBIN is an amazing doctor. I moved to Scarborough not too long ago and I was really worried to find a new vet for my old cat especially since I am new to the area. He is really good at what he does and very honest. It's obvious he is caring and not to mention very reasonable. Love it. Trust Dr Goldstein with my pet dog. He has deep knowledge in the field and his establishment does not try to push you into expensive treatments when there are more sensible ones around. What I liked about going here the best was I did not have to deal with different docs every visit. That is the case with other 'chains' of vet hospitals. Lovely staff, very supportive.
