They took my two puppies in as clients despite being at full capacity. They have provided amazing service and communication every time we call them with questions, or go in for check ups. The entire team is friendly and the persons corresponding via email do a great job with communication via this method as well with updates. I also like that there are appointment reminders. 5 stars from me for sure.

Thanks everyone at the clinic. They not only care about pets but also the feelings of pet parent. I burst into tears when i was told that my cat mel mel was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma about one month ago. When i was kind of lost and not sure what to do. They did not urge me to make any decision. Instead, they provided the professional advice and optional treatment for mel mel. Now his illness is under control. Especially thanks for Dr. Newbery's patience and his sense of humor. (i apologize if there is any grammatical mistakes.)

EDIT: I previously had an amazing review here but all was changed when I went to bring my dog yesterday to Dr. Athena Fung since my dog was vomiting and having diarrhea. Dr. Fung did her bloodwork and said everything looked normal, however, when I came home the bloodwork showed one of the results on the LOW side. We took our dog to the ER the same night and it turned out the LOW on the bloodwork was due to having CRUCIALLY low blood platelets that she was bleeding internally. I am so shocked why Dr. Fung had misinformed me and said everything was normal in her bloodwork, instead, she prescribed all these medications that weren't even necessary. We went back to speak to her at the clinic a week later and she hid in the back room, making Dr. Newbury speak to us on her behalf which made the situation worse as he had no clue what he was talking about and was defending her unprofessionalism and malpractice. Being a loyal customer for 4 years, I will now never return to this clinic no matter how much I love their front desk staff (Linda).

I can't recommend this clinic enough, they've taken such good care of both of my cats for almost 2 years. The vet is knowledgeable and thorough, she tells me everything she checked and the results and makes sure to give me time to answer any questions I have. Honestly, was a bit sceptic before I got there, but receptionists, doctor, just literally everyone smiling and willing to help. I love everyone at Chartwell Vet. From front desk to the vets are amazingly welcoming and sweet. The Vets are all so gentle handed and friendly. I love to compliment Linda, she remembers my dog's name, and our furiends referrals! It is so nice to have someone so welcoming at the front desk. Very reasonable price, clean, and FRIENDLY. Before I made a decision to switch to Chartwell, Linda probably spent a good 30 mins on the phone with me answering all my questions, not once I felt pressured. I definitely recommend coming here.

The Veterinarians and staff of this clinic are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely care about the animals rather than just making a profit. Our cat has had a myriad of health problems recently, and I even received telephone calls from Dr. Benson on her day off to check in on how our cat was doing. They went out of their way to arrange boarding for our cat over the holidays when it was difficult to obtain lodging elsewhere. Love this place and the people working here!

Very friendly doctors and receptionists with reasonable with fees and charges. I would recommend booking your appointment with Dr. Newbery and not Dr. Fung. I was charged $60 for half an exam fee when she took my dog in late and gave me very generic advice that was redundant after checking his heart rate. In total that appointment lasted me 10 minutes. A week later I called into the office to book a follow up appointment and asked for advice with the receptionist and she gave an elaborate and possible reasons for how and why my dog had complications leading to my appointment which took the same time.

Such an amazing clinic! Everyone there is super friendly, caring, and helpful! I have been taking Mallow there since she was 2 months old, and being a French bulldog she’s quite prone to a lot of issues, however Chartwell staff have been incredibly helpful. They frequently send me reminders to get her shots, and if there are ever any issues, they follow up whether through a phone call or email. Even if there’s a medical emergency, they try their best to fit me into their busy calendar. They go above and beyond to show that they care about their clients and the animals and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my fur baby!

I’m a first time dog mama and even before we went for our first visit we made a couple of calls to this clinic with some of our concerns and questions about our new puppy. They answered all our questions with great patience and gave us tips and advice. Our first visit came three weeks later and the clinic was awesome. The whole team was amazing (Mocha saw Dr.Newbury), and exceeded all my expectations. I’m so thankful our little Mocha was cared for by this team - and we look forward to upcoming visits!!!

We have been coming to Chartwell since 2008 when i first got my dog when he was 2 months old, Dr Newbury was absolutely great and we loved all staffs there as everyone was so friendly, even later on I moved to Downtown then North York then Richmond Hill, we still come here. Few years back our vet was switched from Dr Newbury to Dr Fung. I never had any major issues with Dr Fung however I did find it weird that Dr Fung was never able to give me a clear answer to any of my questions, everything to her was either "common", "normal", or "we will see". My dog is a cockapoo which he has bad ear infection, Dr Fung has been telling me this is normal for them and it's from the allergy, we did couple of allergy tests, was prescribed with a bunch of medication, till this day i still don't know what my dog is allergic to, but i was just told it's normal. Now that my dog is 10 years old, he started having some lumps on his body and paws; when we go to Dr Fung for check up, she has been telling us it's fat lump and again it's common, nothing to worry about (including she did some test). We came home last night where blood was everywhere because one of the lumps on his body bursted, we rushed my dog to the closest animal hospital and was only to found out these lumps that Dr Fung told us not to worry about was actually skin tumour. Right now my dog is recovering from tumour removal surgery, hadn't i believe what Dr Fung told me, hadn't one of the tumour burst, we d probably never know how serious this could get; and if anything does happen to my dog, I would be so upset that Dr Fung was not able to give me a clear precise diagnosis. This is my first google review and I have no intention to say anything negative about Chartwell, however I do believe Dr Fung needs better knowledge in her area of work.

Best veterinary clinic! My entire family has been with this clinic for over 15 years now. Dr. Newbury is an amazing vet. He's professional, genuinely cares for your pet, and is super friendly! I'm so thankful that Bobo, Poohbear, and Boss have had him as their Dr! My pup recently had an emergency, and the entire clinic staff was so helpful. They were able to get him timely care and referral to a specialist. Boss wouldn't be home with us so soon if it weren't for their help! 10 stars if I can add more stars!

This is not my regular vet. I only come to this place to purchase toothpaste for my dog. I’ve purchased from this clinic a few times and I found them reasonable and staff are really nice until now. Aside from the toothpaste, they have those small toothbrushes that I really like as I’ve a small dog. The first time I went, which was about a year ago, I was advised by the receptionist that they got those toothbrushes for free from the rep so they gave it to me for free. There was one time they charged me for $1.00 which I believe is reasonable. Two days ago I called to place an order for toothpaste and I also asked for 2 toothbrushes. Due to covid 19, I have to do curbside pick up and need to pay over the phone. My invoice was $46 including taxes and I was wondering why it costs so much much for just 2 tubes of toothpaste. When I got home I noticed that they charged me $16.24 for two tiny toothbrushes that I normally got for free or $1.00. They charged me $8.12 for one. I am extremely upset about this. I think this is ridiculous.

My rescue cat, Declan, has multiple health issues. Dr. Benson is the most caring, interested, compassionate vet I have had the pleasure to work with. No "one size fits all" for Declan, she wants to know everything about him, checks in regularly -not only to figure out the best treatment possible, but to get to know him better. Not only does she listen well, she really hears you, and is funny to boot! Now, to find a family doctor like Dr. Benson, for myself. Staff at reception are also very personable.

We switched to Chartwell from another more expensive clinic in Scarborough. Linda is so pleasant to speak with on the phone and you can tell she really cares about your pets like her own! We go here for dental cleanings and to get vaccine reports. They are very responsive when you need to get a copy of that as well and do not charge! Thank you Chartwell team for serving the Agincourt community. I gave you 5 stars because I am satisfied with your service and pricing!

I have been coming to this clinic since 2011 when I first got my dog. Dr Newbery was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend going to Dr Newbery instead of Dr Fung. 2 years ago when I brought my dog for annual check up, she told me the test came back showing that the Thyroid is high and required to run a blood test which was not the case when I went for a second opinion. Back in March of 2020 during the pandemic, I called and book for an annual check up for my dog and they didnt mentioned anything about Dr Fung is not taking any appointments until I got there. Early Dec I brought my dog in and asked for Dr Newbery to check why he was bloated He recommended ultrasound is needed in order to find out what cause the liver enlargement (he said maybe cancer/tumor) and he did mentioned a cardiac ultrasound because of heart murmur. I brought my dog to another vet clinic for an second opinion and was graded 5 which was very serious and yes he recommended to do ultrasound. a few days later when I dropped off my dog at Chartwell for ultrasound within 2 hours I got a phone call saying my dog passed away.. Dr Newbery said my dog passed away without making any noise and he suspect it was cancer, but there was no warning signs like losing ability to defecate or urinate, the same day he was able to jump up on the sofa and still playing. To me I believe it more of a heart failure but it is what it is. My overall experience with this clinic is positive, I'm not here to comment anything negative. I love Linda, she's friendly and understanding. Viewers, if you going to bring your vet to this clinic I highly recommend Dr Newbery.
