I tried to call there phone line multiple times and was placed automatically on hold for more than 15 minutes. Even if you are busy, people don't want to be put on hold, they want to hear a live voice. My experience wth Bellamy-Lawrence Animal Hospital was absolutely terrible and I will tell my friends with there pets, go somewhere else. They aren't worth the 5 stars people are giving them.

Asked for a quote for a surgery because cost was a prohibiting factor for me. I sent Heidi the estimate I received from my own vet and the owner apparently approved to do the surgery for about $200 less; I'd just have to come for an exam and then it could be booked. She was very friendly and I was feeling good about this. When booking I told them how far away/hard it was for me to get there but eventually made it work. When I got there the vet was nice and honest (only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1) and told me that the quote they gave me didn't include a very large part of my original estimate therefore completely wasting my time and effort of going there in the first place. It was a bait and switch. Thank you to the doctor that told me to go back to my other vet and thank you to Heidi and the owner (mostly him) for reminding me that vet clinics are absolute crooks.

I had a great first experience here last week for my puppy's second round of shots. They were super professional and kind, and everything was made clear over the phone while I couldn't be inside with him due to COVID. My dog didn't want to leave! They make becoming a new patient extremely easy.

They really need to get their phone line fixed, i get that they’re a busy location but wow. I got hung up multiples times which is quite annoying. Aside from this in person service was great. I’m glad they having parking. This is a huge plus. As to the service itself i brought my dog here to get neutered. The Veterinarian did a amazing job. From answering all my questions and concern to really just customer service in general. He definitely surpassed all my expectations in all aspect. Front desk and the staffs were great too.

They charges 20 dollars each medicine when I ask them to provide written prescription. The 3 medicine I need cosy 60 dollars additional just to have a written prescription. Or they give you the option to buy from them at 100%mark up compare to online pet pharmacy.

As far as any facility dealing with four legged members of your family goes, they're seemingly well versed. Their people skills, however, definitely needs an upgrade. They lack basic communication etiquette. When asked how much a spaying operation with everythibg would cost, they gave a total and later increased the total moments before the surgery. ????

Been taking my two dogs here for a while, never had any problems. They are extremely caring towards the animals and clearly do not operate the vet as a business, as unfortunately most now do. Meaning this vet clinic is honest, and will not try to charge you for things your animal does not need. Definitely some trustworthy people at this vet, glad I found it.

We were planning to have our puppy spayed here and we called 2 weeks ahead of her appointment to see if there was anything we should do to prepare her for surgery. We literally had one question which was did we do any grooming to get her ready for surgery. The receptionist (didn't get her name but she answered at 9:15am on Dec 24th) was so incredibly RUDE and DISMISSIVE and even told my mom "we aren't groomers". Yeah, we know that. Also, this place does their pre-op appointment the day of surgery and they have literally no contact with you beforehand. Perhaps their vets are decent, but I would never trust my pup in the hands of a place that seems to treat its patients like cattle. By contrast, I called another reputable vet in the area and their receptionist very kindly answered our questions (only took about 3 mins of her time). Also, that vet does their pre-op appointment a month in advance so you can check your pup's health and meet your doctor. Needless to say we will never come here again.

Once I Arrived I Was Seen In A Timely Manner. Everyone That Works There Are Super Nice & Friendly Also It's Not Expensive As Other Vets, The Prices Are Affordable. It’s 2 stars just because of the pricing, it’s budget friendly. If you get in contact with this clinic, consider yourself SUPER lucky. It’s only my second time using this clinic and I already regret it, first time I was running late for my appointment and call them on my way there to let them know, I was on hold for 30 MINUTES! I got to the door and I was still on hold! Now I’m calling them to try and reschedule my appointment and whoever picks up the phone puts me on hold RIGHT AWAY! This is incredibly frustrating! I got very lucky a week ago when called to make the appointment and a very nice lady picked it up right away, was incredibly kind and helpful, she called me again yesterday to remind me of my appointment to which she said “if something changes please contact us” and I’m trying to BUT NO ONE PICKS UP! It’s the last time I’ll be using their services.

They are always suggesting extra tests for this and that when we go in for one inquiry. When I went to pick her up I overheard how they talk to my dog and its absolutely unacceptable especially coming from professionals. They seem fake to me. They wanted me to purchase their products suggesting that no one else has it when I found the same brand for a cheaper price. When I tried to bring her back for an appointment my dog is traumatized inside the car shaking! When I brought her outside she wouldn't come to the door thats how bad it is. I've booked an appointment and when I reached the vet Ive called multiple times and they weren't answering their phones and they weren't even ready for the scheduled time. I never got a call back either. Never going back. Overall bad service.

Honestly couldn't be happier. My malamute is 90lbs of whiney growly baby and he didn't make much of a fuss at all. We were in and out in under an hour. The reception and vet were both very pleasant and welcoming. My dog Jet seemed relaxed and went along happily by himself. Before doing any tests or anything the vet calls you do discuss options, price and necessity etc. Will be taking all my pets here in the future.

*Incompetent* and Very *unprofessional*: watching game while seeing patients!!! The vet did not even allow me to explain the condition. He was just told by the receptionist that the dog is limping. He asked me to walk the dog and he announced that the walk is good (which wasn't really!! You don't have to go to med school or have super sensitive gaze to notice her limp). While there was still an OBVIOUS limp (visible to an average dog owner) I tried to explain to him but the limp is 10 times worse after a period of rest because there is an infection in the toe (I had had an infection in my ankle a few years ago and I had noticed after a period of not being on my feet the pain is much worse due to plasma build up. When I got to walk the pain reduced dramatically. So I knew my dog limbs was due to infection, beside she had a visibly swollen toe (which the vet was blind to it at first). I really had to struggle to to take his attention to LISTEN to what I had to say about the background and possible causes (that she had a minor surgery on the toe in the same clinic, that the most likely got infected, that the toe is visibly swollen, etc... The young vet (probably fresh off the vets school) was not trained (and did not even have the common sense!) to listen to me before jumping on his short sighted "diagnosis" that "there is nothing wrong".....Anyway, after I could FINALLY get him to LOOK AT THE DAMN PAW, he started repeating everything I've been struggling to tell him (and I was like, I know. I JUST TOLD YOU THESE STUFF MYSELF)....Why he was so scattered minded? Aside from his poor training and lack of common sense and poor critical thinking skills, he was WATCHING TV while I was talking to him!! I had never ever seen a vet/doctor to watch a basketball game while visiting a patient. The TV was on with a very loud and disturbing noise in the hallway, and the door was open and he was standing by the door and as I was explaining the causes of pains and suffering of my dog he turned his head towards the TV and watched the game....Then he asked one question like 4 times: Q-When did she had surgery? A-20 days ago, here. Q-When? A-20 days ago. Q-Here? A-Yes. Q-she had the surgery 20 days ago? A-Yes. Q-It was here? A-Yes. It was as if had ADHD or dementia, but again, he was distracted with his basketball game!!! I will never set foot in that clinic. Never I had seen such incompetent and unprofessional people. I learned my lesson though no matter how far I have to drive I always go back to my old vet who were so professional, caring, and COMPETENT. Like real vets. I wouldn't hire this young dude vet for a Tim Hortons job (he'll be the type that will ask about your order 6 times, and at the end will still mess up your order).

I took my dog to this vet due to he was peeing blood, it turned out to be a bladder infection and was put on antibiotics. The Dr that I got was very patient and informative not only on the situation of our visit, but also other medical conditions that my dog has.

We took our rescue dog Nala here for the first time two months ago when we just got her for some shots and a general exam. The receptionist and the vet were both super friendly with us and Nala and were really gentle with administering shots as she was a little scared. We recently returned to have her spayed and Nala ran towards the reception desk super excited and wiggly, ran into the building and didn’t even look back at us. After her surgery, she was in really good spirits and they were super helpful with all of the after care information. I also had a million questions (first time pet owner) and they were really nice and patient with answering all of my questions before and after the surgery. We live in downtown Toronto and drive all the way here because they’re so nice and affordable. We’ll keep coming back here and would highly recommend anyone else to also!!

This is the place where I take my cat Nala since I got her. We always have the best experience here. Vets and staff are very warm and welcoming. I recently took her for a spay procedure, prices were reasonable and I couldn't be happier with the treatment she received. The incision recovered really fast without any complications. My parents have taken our cats to their sister location on Brimley and I decided to bring my dog to this clinic from day one. It started off great and I didn’t have any complaints on their service. Over time the quality of their vets have dropped like crazy. Every vet seems to operate on their own rules and they don’t have a standard for care. We got the first lepto shot Nov 16 and was told by Dr April that if I did not come back before 4 weeks for the booster, then I would have to start again. Leaving that appointment I tried to pre-book an appointment so that I wouldnt miss the due date. Girl at the desk basically dismissed me and said I wouldn’t have to book one and that I can call ahead a few days prior since it would only be a quick appointment. Now, dog has a hairline crack in both canine teeth and I’ve been calling for 4 days. Been hung up on after being on hold for 45+ minutes, sometimes they just decline the call straight away. Called today, finally getting through and they don’t have any appointments available until Dec 22 which is way after the 4 weeks for the booster. I explained this to them and what I was told by Dr April and they replied saying that she is very strict on her vaccinations and that the other Doctor is willing to do it. WHERE IS THEIR STANDARD OF CARE? Why are vets allowed to tell patients whatever they want? There should be guidelines and protocol for everything. If Dr April told me that the vaccine is ineffective if I don’t get the booster in time, but another vet is saying it’s fine and they’ll do it...what am I supposed to believe. It honestly sounds like they’ll do whatever they can to make money. The staff is really nice but they are not knowledgeable and just come across as a cold business. Their rates are reasonable, but so are a lot of other vets, I honestly wouldn’t waste time here anymore. Despite COVID, they’ve had 9 months to figure out a system to keep up with their clients. They take on much more than they can handle volume wise just so they can make some money. I will say the best thing about this clinic was the Indian woman who used to work the front desk. I haven’t seen her in a while so I don’t now if she works there anymore but she was way kinder and seemed more knowledgeable than the vets there now.

I was calling vet after vet for a quote on getting x-rays done on my dog who has been having some mobility issues. My own vet wanted over $600 before taxes and "additional fees". I called numerous other vets to get a quote but none would give me a quote over the phone without first having him come in for an "examination" even with access to his medical records. Bellamy-Lawerence not only provided me with an accurate quote over the phone without him ever being there, but they ended up completing the work well below anyone else's price, with more images of the effected area and no additional fees or the need for sedation which every other vet I called said was a must. The receptionist/technician did seem a little high strung but I'll assume that was because of how busy it was and the additional stress of working with COVID restrictions. I cannot recommend them enough and will be telling all my friends.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I booked my dogs surgery with them almost 2 months ago. He was scheduled to have surgery on April 7 and on April 6th they phoned me to let me know the clinic was closed for "an emergency" and that they would have to reschedule. I called back to re-book, and left several messages and emailed them with no response. Today is April 22 and I have booked my dog's surgery at a more reliable clinic. I had booked time off to be home and made arrangements for this procedure and I am very inconvenienced by their lack of professionalism. They still have not gotten back to me.

The staff at this location are phenomenal and loving to every single pet. I called to book my appointment was seen right away as soon as I checked in. Reception super friendly and medical assistant were great. My dog was unable to walk today for unknown reason. I saw the best veterinarian whom has treated my dog Gucci before. Dr. Nahad Farag is the kindest helpful vet I ever met. She genuinely treated Gucci and examined him like her own. She recommend an injection to help with a potential pinched nerve as it didnt appear any broken joints so no xray was applicable for now. She also gave a prescription and said he should be better in a few hours and to come back of no improvement. Well pleased to report he is much better already. The beauty as well of this location is the fees!! Veterinary exam is only $29.50 that's well below market rates and many people hesistate taking pet vet due to fees but this so reasonable . The meds were also not expensive so you will save so much money but more importantly your pets health!!! Please spread the word about this amazing location. Even If you live far its worth the drive. The place is brand new and super clean as well. I highly recommend to pet lovers come here first and make this your primary veterinary open 7 days a week!!

Unfortunately they were wrong about my cats diagnosis - they said it was possibly a sprain and recommended xrays - they didn’t catch or notice the puncture wound on his leg and I have to pay about 800 or more at an emergency vet for dead skin removal, sedative and stitches.

00000 stars. Don’t waste your money or time supporting this location. Won’t allow only 2 people in for euthanasia of their dog. Only 1- so so support for owner and no goodbye for anyone else family wise. If my dog wasn’t in pain, I would have canceled my appointment and never return. Doesn’t matter if your vaccinated, masked or social distancing. I don’t know why I gave this vet another chance after the first time the vet misdiagnosed my cat, making him suffer for longer. First trip to another vet and he was diagnosed and the problem was managed. They suggested I put my cat on overly strong pain meds despite his age and condition. Then advised I put him down without a diagnosis. Furthermore, my mother even went with her dog and they immediately advised they put him down for a seizure condition. Went to another vet, that vet was able to easily manage the condition with medication. 3 separate visits, 3 chances, all 3 horrible experiences. Check their YELP page for more accurate reviews. Added reply to clinic; Based on my experiences and the fact when I brought up the issue with my cat to the clinic staff the staff then flagged my file for some reason, so when I did return I had to wait to speak with who ever was running the clinic. It’s not like my cat will benefit from me contacting your clinic to complain when you didn’t care when I was there in person. I was offered no apology, no explanation as for my file flag- I’m not interested in speaking with your clinic. I will not be returning, I will not be speaking to the clinic or owner, I will not remove my review.

We take our puppy here. We have been here a few times now. Can't tell you how they handle dogs and how it is like inside because COVID but this is what our experience has been like so far. Our puppy was assessed and was told she was good, however she had an obvious rash. When we brought it up they said oh yes it is there and they missed it during their assessment. They also missed a different assessment on the first visit and told us during a second visit "that assessment is easily missed" but it was basic and appears to be a standard assessment. Secondly we feel a lot of pressure to get meds and shots without proper testing. We have a sensitive tummy pup, and they pushed an antibiotic before a stool test. I get it, testing is often more expensive and some folks may prefer the cheaper option of the drug, but I didn't think they should have pushed to drug up a little pup. I work in the healthcare field and we also advocate for not using medications unnecessarily. It's one of our goals for safe use medication - right reason. Let's investigate the reason. It happened on our puppy shot visit as well. We were just listed one vaccine after another without the vet being able to answer questions about incidences and take our lifestyle into factor for non core vaccines. Over all not the best experience, mostly feels like a money grab. They need to up their education they provide to pawparents and I would have strongly preferred a video call as opposed to audio. Not commited to this vet hospital. Will be looking around for one that gels better with out philosophy for health.

First time visiting a veterinary clinic and not feeling like it was a business but a hospital. The receptionist, technician and doctor were all wonderful, normally this kind of treatment I have only experienced at pricier facilities where I am treated as a customer rather than the guardian of a patient. And yet the prices are the lowest I've seen as of yet. Bedside manner is A+ (to both me and my cat, though I mostly only care about the behaviour towards my cat.)

Ive been on hold for 20 minutes now and replying back to the mass amount of similar complaints with "Due to the high volume of phone calls we have been receiving recently we are now been dealing with a series of technical difficulties" is not recognizing the issue, its dismissing it and creating excuses. You do not respect your clients time and its clear. Avoid this vet at all costs and take your animal to a vet who actually cares. Brought my dog there once and will never go back. The vet was scared of my dog, he didnt acknowledge her, didnt introduce himelf, and seemed very uncomfortable. At the time she was a 45 lbs mixed breed puppy, absolutely no explanation as to why a vet would be scared of my puppy when its his job to interact with them. I dont know how theyve gotten over 600 reviews in such a short period of time, they must be fake.

This is the best vet hospital. I've had my pets for a loooong time now, none can ever compare. Here's a more detailed review: 1. The receptionist is kind and sweet 2.The vet is direct no bs, no crazy over priced tests, no overpriced medications, and consultation. Will tell you what they can do and how that will help my dog. I have never encountered vets that honest. Simply put, this is like your regular doctor's visit, on a walk in clinic for humans. Quick easy and simple. 3. No hidden charges, to reiterate my previous point. More often than not, vets will find ways to milk the dog owners, the more concerned you are the higher the prices goes. But with this hospital, they will cure your dog and off you go with reasonable pricing for their service. 4. Clean... That's all folks. 5. They will not push products to your face. I often here the "Most of those stuff is unhealthy, you should try this... And your dog will be the best they can ever be" (with hints of life threatening jabs). 6. They cured my dogs. I will always be thankful to the staffs and vets. They cured my baby doggos and treated them well. Highly recommended in Toronto area.

My two cats are almost done their recovery phase and they are looking healthy and active, so I strongly recommend this place especially if you can't pay $800+ per cat surgery. Caring Pet Doctors who are compassionate, understanding and will explain everything about your pet needs with empathy, respect and to the point are here to serve you 7vdays a week. I'm really pleased with the service Ive received from this clinic compared to other ones that managed to leave a bad impression in my mind in the past. I used to love taking my dog here until I got my dog neutered here and the day after the surgery I found out my dog was wearing the wrong size cone. I ended up calling them to inform that my dogs surgical area was really red and bleeding. The receptionist on the phone told me it's normal and I said its not normal for them to be able to reach that area. And instead of being helpful the lady says, why don't you buy a surgical suit for him at pet smart. I agreed and called every location just to find out they do not carry that. I went ahead and called them back and the lady decided to put me on hold for an hour, so I attempted to call them again until I was able to get a hold of them. Why do I have to wait until my dogs surgical area opens just for them to take him in for a check up? That's just crazy. Once I got there the receptionist pretended to be nice but once she took my dog from me she ended up yelling at another worker saying "YOU TAKE CARE OF HER." She never came back out for the rest of that time and had so much attitude. I was utterly shock, why be in that profession if you don't care about the animals and just the money. I find it crazy at how bad her customer service is. That receptionist is my only complaint. She needs to be educated or be moved to a different location. I hope others don't experience this type of situation.

I brought my kitten, Shadow, here. I’m a student who found her as a stray and took her in. Thanks to their affordable base fee, I was able to bring her in for a check up. The doctor told us she seems to have a bit of a cold and recommended antibiotics and a shampoo for possible flees. I told the receptionist that I already have a shampoo and asked if I could just take the antibiotic as it would help me with the costs. They were very non problematic and let me only buy the antibiotic. I came here all the way from Toronto since they’re the only place with a reasonable priced base fee and their service is very kind as well. I’m halfway through Shadow’s medication and she’s so much more energetic and her eye infections and sneezes have disappeared. I’m so happy to see her like this. I highly recommend this place.

I was concerned about what looked like a rash on the back end of my dog that started leaking a blood tinged fluid. So as soon as I got home from work, I rushed him over to Bellamy-Lawrence AH. The front desk receptionist and staff were welcoming as soon as I arrived and were reassuring that my dog would be cared for which helped to calm my nerves. The clinic is clean, looks brand new and really gives the impression of a posh downtown Toronto vet clinic. I was seen by Dr. K in a timely manner and he diagnosed my dog with a perianal fistula which I had never heard of before. He took his time to educate me about the condition and provide support in letting me know that any future issues my dog had, he would help treat as well. I recommend Bellamy-Lawrence Animal Hospital to anyone looking for personalized vet care by friendly and caring staff for their pets at very reasonable prices in Scarborough.

Sadly, my first experience with the new hospital was to euthanize one of my dogs. The staff were all very gentle and caring, making the experience a peaceful one. When it was over, they allowed me to stay with him, "as long as you want". They were very kind. The clinic is new, and beautifully designed. I will be going there for all future veterinarian needs.

As a first time pet owner, this vet office is really easy to book early appointments with and have nice staff. We first came for a general check up and vaccines for a stray cat we took in and were very happy with the service. She got a physical examination and the two vaccines needed for an indoor cat for $70. I booked a spay appointment with them start of May and they only had availabilites end of June. However I called during the end of May to see if they had cancelations and they had a spay appointment available for the immediate next day. On the website, it said spay appointments were $118 with additional costs and our cats spay ended up costing $300. This is my only problem with the clinic which is the lack of transparency. Because she was older that 1, the spay appointment was $127 and medications + cone brought the price up to $200. After checking the cat in the morning of the surgery, they drop all these expensive add ons you can opt for which they should really tell you way in advance to give you time to think. We chose to get a $70 dollar IV bag for the cat and so the spay cost was now $277. Then they let us know if the cat is in heat it would be an additional $20, and of course after surgery they said she was, so the total came to $300 (before tax). All this information can be neatly written on the website or told to the pet owners in advance when making the appointment. Furthermore, they never asked when our cats last heat cycle was or let us know that information till she was checked into the clinic on surgery day, which upsets me considering some online sources talk about the dangers of spaying during heat. Overall was disappointed with that part of the process but our cat returned healthy and is now healing. I let the vet tech know about my complaints but the clinic has still not got back to me about them.

Their website says: "Walk-ins welcome" and "Trust Our Team When Your Pet Needs an Emergency Vet in Toronto". I went to them and waited for them to open at 8am on Sunday and I was told, "Do you have an appointment? You need an appointment." I didn't, but I said, "Don't you have walk-ins? Is there availability to make an appointment for now?" I was then told that if my pet is really that sick, they would send the pet to the emergency vet anyway. At least they did provide the address to the closest emergency vet so I don't have to look it up? For anyone looking to get truly urgent help for their pet, don't to go to them. If I knew I actually didn't have options for a Sunday vet that I could see right away, I wouldn't have waited for them to open and I would have gone straight to the emergency vet in the first place and paid the expensive fee. Maybe my cat would still be alive.

My cat got into a fight with another cat, I needed an appointment ASAP as his wound got infected, as a hospital you would think that they would squeeze an emergency in, but no they are apparently fully booked and couldn't see him for 1 week. Also called there about 10 times and the lady answering the phones just kept hanging up, her response to me was that they are busy. Very POOR customer service in my opinion

I arrived as a walk-in with my cat who was experiencing emergency symptoms. The team informed that they are not doing walk-ins during the pandemic, but they fit me in immediately and took care of my cat very well. Clients are asked to wait outside in their cars if possible and to speak with the doc over the phone before and after exam. The price of each medical intervention was shared with me before I gave consent so that I could manage the final total of my bill. My cat was already feeling so much better the same evening. Absolutely amazing, they cost like half as much as every other cash grab vets office in the GTA, so much that i drove from the Lakeshore to Lawrence and Bellamy... Their service was professional and clean, they were really good w our dog, Lucy, she nwver lets us do a thing but w them she behaved so well and let them cut her nails, which she does NOT do at home lol! New location is absolutely beautiful! Very clean and as strange as it is to say, I loved the artwork they have chosen. They helped to ease the stress that going to the vet can sometimes bring for pet owners. In addition to that, the staff were welcoming and friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work at the vet. The vet herself was also very friendly and had a very calming vibe about her. I could tell she actually cared about my pet and that I could trust her judgement with the treatment, which was a relief given some of my previous experiences with other vets. Regarding the fees, the exam fee was cheap ($30) and the medications are moderately priced so, all in all, a lovely place to take your pet!

The place was so unprofessional in so many ways for so many reasons. My senior dog was suffering from a severe ear infection and had started the process of going blind and developing cataracts, which they did NOT notice or tell me about despite the severity (of the ear infection). My dog also had to have some teeth removed due to periodontal disease, and on the day of his surgery (while he was IN the clinic), I was told that other teeth may be infected and that they'd have no way of knowing due to their lack of x-ray equipment and that he may need to come in again to have more teeth removed. If you're in scarborough looking for a good vet clinic this is not the place.

I went on the website a requested an appt and got a response within 1 day for an appt in 3 days. Try emailing for an appt or booking via the website. Once you are in your pet will be taken care of.

Don’t go if you are not a “vet level” professional, or English is your second language, or you really really care about your pet. I didn’t experience the same kind and patience service as described in the reviews from the doctor today, front desk ladies were very nice and professional as they fit me as a emergency situation and booked me an appointment for today when I called on yesterday. The doctor was not being patience at all and has been using tricky/professional words all the time, and she does not explain the meaning of the words at all but keep repeating herself. I tried to ask her the meaning of what she was saying but she wasn’t willing to explain at all. She was asking if I want to a an xxxx exam so that she can provide another medication to cat, I don’t understand the exam but I know I need to follow what doctor says in a hospital, even though I asked her the reason my cat needs to do it and she refused to explain in easy/non-professional words. And I just checked on the medication, the one she has to done a exam to decide whether to give my cat, is a very simple, human use eye drop that people use to moisturize eyes. And it costs me around $40 itself, not including the special eye exam fee. It’s my first time here and it’s my first time meeting a vet who does not explain what’s going on specifically even the owner asked. Until now, I don’t know what has happened to my cat to cause his problem, or anything I need to be aware of. I have asked the front desk ladies to give me a medical report so I know what was going on when I get back home and there is nothing useful in the report and she mentioned “ no vomiting” in the report, I Mentioned on a separate sheet of paper that he vomited once last Sunday, and mentioned again over the phone. She just wrote “no vomiting”? Excuse me?

Cheapest vaccine prices. You will see a different vet every time you go, so continuity of care is an issue. This clinic seems to push extra procedures/medications and screenings to make up for the lower prices of individual services. They warned me about grain free foods, but failed to mention it was only in brands that contain legumes (I already read the research). It felt like an attempted upsell to purchase food there. If you have the time to be informed, this is a good place to bring your pet.

THIS CLINIC ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY! I have a prescription for my dogs medication that he takes monthly that is on back order at my veterinarian clinic. I called this morning and advised the clinic that I have the prescription from my vet and I would like to purchase one month supply from them as I’m leaving on vacation tomorrow morning and my dog needs his Cushing’s disease medication. The receptionist literally had the audacity to tell me “the doctor said” not only do I have to bring in my dog PAY an exam fee but that I also have to transfer all of his medical records to their location. NO THANKS! An elderly terminally ill dog needs their medication, that they’ve been on for years and with a valid prescription a client can’t even pick up medication without paying all these fees? NO THANKS!!!

Had to come in as a walk in because my 7 yo cat Bella was vomiting and not eating for 2 days, was seen in 30 minutes, they diagonsed Bella very quickly and correctly with pyometra. They were extremely open and clear with what was going on and the necessary steps to save her, they did not pressure me in anyway and when I told them I needed to think about it they were non-judgemental or not rude to me. I was given a quote and before going ahead with it, I called a few of the clinics nearby to see what they would charge and WOW Bellamy was so much better in cost providing the exact same service. I called back and agreed and they had me in for surgery the next day, 5 months later and Bella is doing so good, I am so thankful they saved my cat!

I don’t know where to begin, but I’ll begin by saying thank you to the most committed and honest team here at Bellamy-lawerance animal hospital. My 10 year old Boston was diagnosed with pyometria and wasn’t able to be seen until September 30th from her own vet…anyone that knows about pyometria knows it’s a deadly infection and September isn’t going to cut it. After calls and emails around to numerous places, the doctors here at Bellamy animal hospital took us on the very first day they heard about her condition. They explained to the depths of the ocean, reassured me until I could no longer cry and held my hand through this very scary, yet difficult process..(maybe more so myself than my Boston) but I can’t stress enough how thankful I am for their generosity, transparency and commitment to help us out. It’s never about the money, but it’s always about finding someone who is willing to take care of your family and Bellamy-Lawerance has done that for me! We’re on the road to recovery but my Boston has never LOOKED or seemed happier! I can’t wait for her stitches to be removed and for her life to get a little more spunky! Thank you to the Dr’s, surgeons, front desk staff and nurses who made this possible, and who helped me add maybe another year or more to my precious dogs life. You guys are a solid team and it shows! I had made an appointment with them around Christmas time, 2020 to get my dog vaccinated. I got in touch with them via email, and they said the total would be $85 (attached their email conversation). But they called me and said that due to some reason, they have to postpone it to after new year. So after new year, when I went to get my dog vaccinated, they informed the price has now increased to $95 after new year (attached invoice). I told them I was quoted $85, and thats the reason why I choose their clinic instead of others. But the supervisor said the price has changed. She told me if I was not happy with it, I can take my dog elsewhere. But after traveling for 25kms to reach their clinic, I did not want to waste more time/ effort. So I went ahead and got him vaccinated. Since the clinic had rescheduled the appointment, they should have informed me about the price change in prior. But they did not. I know price is subject to change anytime, but I feel they should honor the quoted price, because it was they who changed the appointment. Its only $10 extra, but thats not professional and good work ethics. If they did the same to 10 customers, its an extra $100 profit for them.

This place is amazing!!!we can’t say enough about the treatment our little kitty tucker got from them.they saved his life.we took him there on Monday,they checked him out and and recommended three options,we opted for option one hoping it would solve his problem,we took him home and his condition seemed like it got worse,I called them back on Tuesday and they told us that we should bring him back and they will check him out for free again as we were just there,the vet then found a lump that had gotten bigger,the doctor knew something had changed drastically from the day before,just from the way he was sitting,and how much he changed from the night before.we got his x rays and blood work done and found out that his bladder was extremely large,they acted quick and very large and told us everything that could be a possibility,so there was surprises and to keep us educated on his rare situation.they drained his bladder and sent off his blood,and urine for tests.these services aren’t cheap and knew we were a young couple in love with our pet,doing are all for him.they took of some of the charges for the services they did,they offered us payment options as well in case we needed it.the following day or two later they called us back and the vet stayed on the phone for about 20 minutes letting us know everything they found,educating us more on our pet.all test results were negative and tucker was peeing and eating again after almost 3 days of not eating or peeing anything(we tried everything)and without there strong advice of bringing him back for free the following day his bladder would have most likely exploded causing a fatal injury.we felt like they were there to help us,and that they actually cared about our kitty and not about our money.we can’t thank them enough for the education and quick action to help save his life.we seen two different vets and they both worked together to figure out his problem.the staff there are super friendly,the place is clean in the front and back.the best vet in Scarborough and a great experience.tucker is doing great and back to his happy life and we get to spend more time with our newest family member ❤️thank you for your hard work,educated explanations and helping us with the cost by removing quite a bit of the fees J & T & Tucker

The vets here are amazing , but there are certain staff members at the front desk that are rude and unprofessional. Due to covid, we had to wait in our cars while our puppy was being looked after. Which is understandable. One of the staff members, called and informed us to come inside to pick her up, so we did. As soon as I came inside, I get another call by another staff member who was yelling at me to come inside to pick up my dog, while I was already inside the clinic. She was aggressive, without reason. This already put me off. Then upon leaving that appointment I had a few questions about how spaying would work. When asking my questions not only did she laugh at me for having questions such as "what time should I drop him off? How long is the surgery?" I found this degrading. As this is my first pet I had many questions and wanted to be well informed. It appalls me how someone so unsensitive can be working at a vet hospital. Overall I had an amazing experience with the Vets who were understanding and knew what they were doing. But this one vet tech/receptionist was really rude and ruined the whole experience for us at this clinic.

Worst experience ever with a vet, DO NOT COME HERE. Inaccurate pricing, condescending, unprofessional, poor workmanship, terrible customer service, are just a few adjectives to describe B-L. We chose bellamy-lawrence for our dog's spay and it turned out to be a huge mistake. Starting with getting a quote, they were extremely unresponsive both by phone and by email and we had to contact them multiple times before they could give us a quote. The day before the procedure, we were supposed to receive a call from the vet to talk about pre-op instructions, we never received a call, but by doing some research we knew what to expect and not to give water/food after 10pm the night before. On the day of the procedure we sat down with the Vet to go through the paperwork and they wanted to charge us was double what they had originally quoted us. Bellamy-Lawrence also offers a lot of optional items and since we're not experts, we had a lot of questions and wanted to ask what all the optional items were for and if they were needed. With a very condescending tone, the vet gave us a mediocre response and guilted us into buying additional services, which made us feel very uncomfortable. We were told that we would NOT be contacted once the procedure was done, but that they'd call us at 4pm to come pick up our dog. For a new dog owner, this is incredibly scary, given that your new family member is going through an operation and it's natural to be worried. 4pm came our and they never called. Given that they were going to close in 1.5 hours, we called and were on hold for over an hour... so I decided to drive there while I was still on the phone. To my surprise, when I arrived, the receptionist was casually doing things on her computer and attended to me without a problem. I don't know why, but they just refuse to pick up the phone. Clearly it wasn't a matter of being too busy. While I was in the waiting room there was another customer expressing his frustration for having to wait on the phone for over 2 hours. The customer was complaining that B-L had done tests on his pet and it has been over a week since the test results came back, but no one had reached out to him. The receptionists rudely dismissed the customer and proceeded to provide the test results while displaying a terrible attitude. CLEARLY THIS LEVEL OF ATROCIOUS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS REOCURRING AT B-L. Finally my dog was brought out from the back by a technician and she proceeded to walk away before I stopped her to ask questions!! This is crazy, after a procedure we don't get to see nor talk to the vet and the technician doesn't even offer any information on post-op care. I was baffled. After coming home, our dog was constantly puking (technician didn't explain this was normal, we had to google it), the incision looked absolutely terrible, and our dog started lactating. When we reached out back to B-L they dismissed it via email by saying that it's normal and we should ignore it and give it time. But when we consulted another vet and the internet we found that it was quite rare but that there could be multiple reasons for it, so we were told what to look out for. B-L also did not want to do a post inspection on our dog unless something was clearly going wrong with her health. At the end we ended up going to another vet to do a follow up and ensure that our dog was ok. Most stressful vet experience I've ever had. I hope that my experience serves as a warning to other people.

Took my 12 yr old dog there as an emergency as I thought he had a stroke. Once i was in the exam room, the female spanish vet came in to look at my dog. (I thought he had a stroke and notified them of this before exam. ) The female vet entered the room, took a look visually at my dog and said “i’m sorry”. I questioned why she said that, her responce was that it was a stroke and that I should put him down as he was to bad. She never really looked at him, told me nothing could be done. I then proceeded to tell her that I have seen proof that some dogs can get better, in time and why she quickly opted to euthanize.? After a small discussion on what else could he done, she said a painkiller could he given and monitor the dog but if he got worse then to come back. Total bill at end if appointment was 60$ I only went to this vet due to an emergency and didnt know the prices of exams, meds etc... But did think it was a bit low, now i know why.... I didnt feel good about this picture the vet was painting and decided to get another consult at another clinic. SO HAPPY I DID, as it turned out my dig did not have a stroke but did have a bad case of verigo!!!! In time he will recoop and be 90% better and relieved of most if the stmptoms if vertigo. Im not one to let my dog suffer just to keep him around selfishly, but if you feel in your gut something isnt right then PLEASE GET ANOTHER OPINION. I could of killed my best friend. No a goid place to take any animal and I really question the vets there now....

Found under pressure as my cat Ozzy was dying due to old age. The staff was very considerate and non intrusive but very supportive with their professionalism and knowledge. Friendly professional clinic. Took our 3m onto old kitten there for first shots. He has now had 3 visits including neutering. They tell you your options coats wise, seem to be fairly priced, and actually make follow up calls as to the animals health. I am impressed both as a cat owner and as a small business owner.

Great staff and vets, really care about your animals well being, with out trying to rip a hole in your wallet. I really recommend Dr Nahed she's so caring and takes her time while examing your pet and takes her time expaining what is going on and the options. All the front staff are great and Dr April is also a great vet. My dog petee has only visited the 2 vets I mentioned but all the staff have taken such great care of him when he's sick. Best price anywhere for an exam and vaccines I have never seen it that low anywhere.

I brought my dog in recently for annual vaccines and I appreciate that the clinic is taking proper COVID-19 precautions. I started bringing my dog here a couple years ago, despite it being further from my house than my previous clinic, to see Dr. April. She's always thorough and professional, explaining every little detail to me and my dog is always comfortable seeing her. You can tell she genuinely cares for each patient and loves animals through the care she puts into her exams and post-exam discussions. The prices seem to be good value compared to the previous clinic I was at in North York.

Brought my cat in for spaying procedure at 6 months, after inquiring about it when she was 3 months old. They convinced me that the cat must be 6 months of age at least (which is not true!). I agreed to have my cat spayed here and the procedure itself went well. My only concern with this clinic is how rushed everything is: phone calls are rushed, appointments are rushed, pick ups are rushed. You never see the same vet twice, or meet the person who operates on your animal. My cat is fine however I was charged additional fees for “in heat” procedure (which they refused to operate on my cat at an earlier age to avoid this) and the “in heat” situation is determined by the vet during the surgery so there’s no proof or anything. You’re just handed another bill upon arrival. When I called to check in on my cat after surgery, I had to remind the staff of my cat and her procedure. Which makes me feel like no one was checking in on my cat post surgery, considering they did not know her name or app details. At this time, my cat has a fairly large incision (about 10 Cm) across her abdomen. Upon some research I noticed that this is a fairly large incision and my previous cats have had smaller cuts. Overall, decent place but not the greatest.

This vet was very accommodating. They were able to get me a last minute appointment with my cat Pinky, who was feeling very sick. The woman at the front desk was very nice, cheerful and helpful. The doctor was able to quickly diagnose the problem and prescribe the needed medications. Before bringing my cat in I was in tears thinking she was going to pass, however with the help of Bellamy-Lawrence Animal Hospital she seems to be feeling much better. The vet was also very accommodating with my many questions and concerns, and was quick to answer my phone calls as well. This may just be my new vet to take all of my cats to. I brought my 5 month old female cat in for her first FVRCMP and rabies vaccination as discussed over the phone. Once I arrived to my appointment I spoke with veterinarian who explained to me about today's vaccinations and also tried to sell me on few more procedures. I agreed for her to administer the dewormer tablet which was an extra 15 dollars on my bill. Dr. April Lui told me my cat was healthy and needed to come back for booster shots in the near future. Once I picked up my cat I found her pupils dilated and she was foaming at the mouth. I yelled out to the staff to health me and I was in panicking because I have never seen my cat like this. The doctor's assistance rushed over and took my cat over to the examination room. The doctor observed her and I was told she was having a reaction to the tablets. I didn't understand why the staff didn't wait few minutes to see how my cat would react to the tablets or the vaccination. Furthermore I didn't understand how they could not have seen she was foaming at the mouth when they handed my cat back to me. I was told that I could leave my cat for an hour or half an hour so that the staff could monitor her if that would put me at ease. I was baffled by the lack of professionalism and compassion for my cat by the veternarian and all those involved. My first experience at this animal hospital has left me stressed and anxious. I hope nobody experiences this type of shock with the person you put your trust in to take care for your fury companion. What is even more disheartening is that the Dr. April Lui didn't come out to explain to me what was going on and give me reassurance. I even have video on my phone of my cat foaming at the mouth.

Literally the best prices in the city, no exaggeration. Took my dogs for their heart worm prevention testing (cheap) and also for their annual vaccinations (cheap as well). Receptionists are nice, the vet tech is nice, and so is the veterinarian. I am not yet sure if I would bring my dog here for very serious issues (I have another vet who is very skilled and knowledgeable but expensive) but I would bring them here for any routine checkups or vaccinations anytime!! Great service!

I would give ZERO or even NEGATIVE STAR if I can, brought my cat there and they still gave my sick cat vaccine (just for the money) then they gave my cat medication that has been noted WARNING under the history file! They didnt read the file at all and proceeded with the surgery! My cat came home puking blood and having trouble breathing. Called the hospital and the person who did the surgery aka the owner refused to talk to us. After trying to get a hold of him for over 3 weeks, he told me to feel free to sue him as he is wealthy and has a whole group of lawyers supporting him! NO APOLOGY NO FOLLOW UP! Doctor April was helpful but sad that the owner just tried to throw her under the bus. AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR PET TO BE KILLED

I have been taking my cat here for some time now. She was diagnosed with epilepsy here and I get her medication here as well. I have a passport application document to sign and my vet is someone who can sign it. These people were my last resort and they advised me they can’t do it because I only seen the doctor once and they don’t know me. How do you not know me ? The other doctor isnt there anymore. If you schedule me a different doctor each time that’s not my fault and also I am not allowed to come in when I drop my pet off. I’ve paid a lot of money to these people and for them to deny me something so simple when I have been giving them my service even with their inadequate customer service because they never answer the phones in a timely manner, is just infuriating. I’ve had to take my cat to the emergency hospital because they don’t answer when I probably didn’t need to. I am never returning.

The receptionist working on early Sunday mornings is very rude. We were missing our appointment due to very heavy rain where driving would be difficult. Called to reschedule and she gave a date a week later. I asked if there would be anything available earlier since my cat seems sick and she said "well you should find someone else then" (she didn't check the schedule or anything) I also had a question about my cats condition which I tried asking, hoping for some response on whether it is urgent or not. She ignored my question and told me to go elsewhere. I am not sure why she was this rude. I've had similar experiences with the same receptionist before. Really like the doctors at this clinic but not sure if I will return if this is how the receptionist is going to be.

Update If the owner or management cared they would have responded to my email on Feb 4th. No call no acknowledgment of my compliant. They have my name and number they can call to discuss, it took a review on google to get a response. I will be paying a fee at a separate vet to check Frankies incision from being neutered rather than send a pic of his incision to your facility. Hopefully you can train some of your staff on proper customer service ( Heidi) and maybe the vets won’t lose clients.

My husband and I were very impressed with The Bellamy Lawrence Animal Clinic. The facilities are exceptionally clean and bright, with pleasing decor We were sent over from The Brimley Lawrence clinic for our two cats to have their annual checkup. We didn’t have an appointment, but were seen to immediately. The staff are very friendly, especially Anu, the receptionist who immediately bonded with our shy kitties. The vet had a lovely, warm manner and was very thorough in his examination. There is much attention to detail in this clinic, with the comfort of pets being first and foremost. Even the stainless steel examining table has padding on it! We normally dread bringing our cats in for their checkups and tend to put it off, but we are now actually looking forward to our next visit in a year’s time!
