We got less than 5 minutes no one really talked to us beyond the one obvious thing and we had asked before the appointment if they would trim our cats nails they said yes and never did we arnt going there again it was a waste of money and it leaves us still needing to bring the cat to the vet so it can get properly checked out

We have been taking our pets to Dr. Anderson for about 11 years now. She and her staff were exceptionally caring when we had to make a tough decision and say good-bye to one of our girls. No matter how many months have passed since our last visit, we walk in to the clinic and it feels like they are welcoming us home. To me there is no other choice but Animal Kingdom.

If you care for your animal please beware. The sheer atmosphere of this place is deceitful. You do not want to know what goes on behind those revolving doors and believe me they do not want you to go back there either. If you were aware, the Vet has a rather interesting article written on her in the paper, check archives. I have seen many clinics over the years and i knew something wasn't right about this place. If you only knew how many people in this town have had bad experiences or feelings about this establishment. Now wonder why they have such cheap rates? Because business isn't good, and you get what you pay for folks. If you love your animal, please take it to Sault Animal Hospital or Chippewa Animal Clinic, they have nothing to hide.

I truly appreciate having Dr. Anderson in the Sault. She is a no nonsense vet who does not try to "sell" you services or products you do not need, like many other vets.

The doctor and receptionist were both cold, rude, and dismissive. Neither wanted to listen to what we had to say and didn't want to answer our questions; I literally felt completely ignored. The lack of compassion and empathy was incredible considering we were fairly certain my daughter's goat was dying. They actually managed to make us feel worse not better. After about a 3 minute "exam" she wrote us off and gave us an antibiotic I had to inject myself with zero demonstration showing me how (verbal instructions only like I'm an at home vet tech). If they hadn't been the only place in town with an opening, I never would have gone and I'll never go back.

my 8 year old bengal cat needed immediate dental attention I know how bad toothaches can be..one vet wanted to pull both top fangs plus other back teeth..at a wicked cost, I then called and took her to Animal Kingdom they seen her right away, gave her a round of antibiotics which relieved her pain, then cleaned and scaled her teeth, no pulling...she is now happy and pain free..I was very happy with the service, care and handling of my cat...they are now Jades regular vet.

Unbelievable how rude the phone-answering girl is (May 25 2017). Will never take a pet there. Enjoy your "early closure for a long weekend", despite having told you about our emergency concern (and having brought the dog there for 9 years now). I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place! Edited to add: Chippewa animal clinic was happy to see us, and did their best for us. Sadly our dog had to be put down. Animal Kingdom saw the dog two weeks before this (when we were first concerned with the dog's health and behaviour) and charged us over $300.....and completely missed the fact that our dog was gravely I'll and dying. Thanks for the $30 arthritis pills.....which clearly wasn't the issue. So in other words, thanks for nothing.

Thank you Dr Anderson and staff for taking care of my little guy "Tom" he was having a rough time until he was examined and his abscessed teeth Taken care of in a very effective and informative way - I recommend this VET to anyone on both sides of the border -even w/exchange rates so bad the rates where cheaper and just as effective and i feel like my little guy is like a new man

Issues you feel you encountered at our clinic. Assumed.. our hope was to give our best advice. We know when dealing with a sick pet some advice can be hard to hear. We tried to not just limit our care to only treating the goat's pneumonia but requested a fecal and discussed slowly adjusting her body back to grain since you felt she was being bullied. She was not bloated at time of exam but it was something we needed to caution you about. We by no means intended to make you feel we did not care

I am not someone with an ulterior motive. She killed my beagle with her misdiagnosis. Then she wouldn't even help me do the decent thing and put him out of his misery. I called her and called her. She would not talk to me even though she advertises 24 hour service. The only time she returned my call was three hours after my dog was already put down by another vet. He cried and cried in horrible pain for hours!! She should not have a license to practice!

We have been going to Dr. Anderson's clinic for over 13 years, and do not have one single complaint. When I call to come in, for whatever reason, she accommodates me immediately. I feel she has the best interest of the animal at heart. She understands that our fur baby is not just a pet, but an important member of our family and treats her accordingly. We are very blessed to have a beautiful doggie and vet that treats her like her own. I would recommend Dr. Anderson to anyone looking for a good vet. Thanks Dr Anderson.

We must warn against taking your pet to this clinic. After 8 years of yearly check ups and shots and no problems, we trusted that we were dealing with a reliable clinic. Then we were told that our dog's teeth needed cleaning because he had tartar on them. They said it was not serious yet, but should be done to prevent it from causing major health issues. They gave us a price, and we checked several times to make sure it was all inclusive. They assured us it was . . . unless he needed any teeth removed, and they could not tell us whether that would be the case until the procedure was in progress. We asked several different office girls if they could call us first in the event that any teeth would need to be removed. Each time they assured us that they would indeed call us if that were the case. The day of the surgery, I asked again for them to call me if they thought any teeth needed to be removed. I was pleased when the phone didn't ring that day, assuming all was well. At the end of the day they called to tell us we could pick up the dog . . . and that they had removed SIXTEEN of his teeth, and the bill was triple the quoted price. They refused to negotiate in any satisfactory way and refused to release the dog until we had paid half the bill, and signed a paper stating that we would pay the rest. We brought our poor little dog home looking half dead. Although he did recover, the whole experience was extremely stressful. After contacting other vets, Better Business Bureau, and the Michigan Veterinarian Licensing Association, we were assured that they had crossed a number of ethical boundaries in the way they dealt with us.. We made another visit to Animal Kingdom, this time more informed, and they dropped the remaining charges. However, we still paid over $100 extra for something we would never have consented to, and are left with a dog who can't eat properly because of all his missing teeth. Before his teeth were taken, he could grip a toy so tightly we could hold the other end and lift him off the ground.

I have been taking all three of my cats to Dr Anderson....my parents have been taking their dog. We have had 0 issues or complaints with her or the staff or the care and treatment of our animals. My one baby had to be put down due to what we believe was a brain tumor she was 11 and nothing we could do or Dr Anderson. My otehr cat now has an issue with her leg xrays were done and nothing is broken so we have to monitor there is nothing that can be done if it is neurological and if it is muscular then we are giving her pain meds until it is better but only a bit of time will tell. I will continue to go to Dr Anderson and I tell everyone I know to go to her. I am Canadian and I know many many many people who take their pet to her from the Canadian side. Until I saw these reviews of unhappy people I had never heard of anyone unhappy with the quality of care received. Dr Anderson is only human and can not perform miracles. Because animals can not talk a lot is a guessing game. I took the Vet Assistant program so I know that sometimes by the time an animal presents as being ill it is too late to do anything. Other times owners don't know their animals enough or are not giving adequate information for a proper diagnosis. Or perhaps some people on this board have an alterior motive to bad mouth a wonderful person who goes above and beyond what most vets and any canadian vet would do.
