It was our first time there. Our puppy got pretty sick last week. The preliminary diagnosis by his vet was a inflammation and she gave us some medicine for the fever. He got worse after two days and we took him to Erindale animal hospital on Friday( his regular clinic was closed in the evening). He was hospitalized for 4 night there. We were able to get an update on him 2-3 times a day and visit him everyday. Dr. Jones is very kind and caring which made it much easier for us. She answered all of our questions and explained the procedure. The examination was very thorough and professional. They gave us an cost estimate everyday and let us know all our options. Dr. Jones sent him home on Tuesday with more oral medications. My puppy was excited and happy to go to clinic for checkup today. He is much better now. I totally recommend Erindale animal hospital.

I had to take my dog in after hours to get porcupine quills taken out of her mouth. Even after hours this is by far the best vet care I have ever experienced. The vet told us exactly what she would be doing and I felt more than comfortable leaving my dog there while she did her work. The price was very reasonable too. I will definitely be going back again.

Friendly staff but way over priced. 318 for a male feline neuter. The communication between reception and the doctors needs to be a little better as well. When I called I asked to get my young cat to get neutered and my older cat to get a blood test because he is getting older. The reception told me they didn't want to neuter unless he was vaccinated. I also needed to get there ears cured of mites. I went in and it seemed like I had to explain to the doctor what I wanted again. In the time we were talking and yes things were explained to me but she was adding all this other stuff in the mix so in the confusion I didn't understand everything. In the end I didn't get my youngest one neutered my oldest one didn't get his blood tests done. They both got vaccinated instead. They both received medication I had to apply when I got home. Instead of applying the first set in office so I had extra hands. Also with my other experiences dealing with ear mites other offices cleaned their ears out in house before I left. So I was a little surprised they didn't after the price I paid in the end. I chose them because of good review and essentially there only 5 minutes from my home. I think I'll be going to where I took my other cat.

I love this veterinarian. I met her at a group clinic twenty five years ago and when she branched off to start her own clinic, this one, I followed. she treats my rabbits and dogs and has seen me through several small lives. she has taught me so I could take even better care of my pets and always explains the bills and procedures. she's always gentle and kind and not one pet has ever feared her. The associates and staff she's invited into her clinic are all equally loveable and gentle people. Mostly, she's a brilliant vet. she has never made a mistake and respects what I know too.

By far the best vet I've dealt with. Between my 2 dogs I am there every month it seems. They are always nice and polite, greeting us by name and excited to see the dogs. Very accommodating to emergency cases and I always get in the same day I call, or I can drop my dog off as an emergency case .They call with updates regularly and keep me updated on any new tests needing to be done or results. Definitely recommend them and am very happy with their service!

My dog got sick at the end of September and I trusted Erindale with my baby. I was in the clinic weekly for more tests and X-rays on my 3-year old dog. First, a specialist report was put in ONE WEEK LATE after my dog was breaking bones and we didn’t know what was causing it. The report was finally put in and I was asking for results of the specialist very often and getting told they’ll look into it. TWO WEEKS AFTER. I was called and told the results. Turned out they got the results THE DAY THEY SENT THEM but the vet didn’t know how to open it. She chalked this mix up to not understanding technology and the front staff not assisting her enough. Unfortunately my dog ended up unexpectedly passing at the beginning of November. To top it off, I felt forced into getting an autopsy (by a vet at Erindale) on my dog that I didn’t not want and felt like my decision wasn’t the right decision. I will never take any of my dogs back to Erindale after this experience after raving about them to all my friends and family before. They are good with shots and little check ups but not with figuring out serious issues with your dogs.

This review is long overdue. We can't say enough great things about the entire staff and Dr Vivienne Jones. Mid October our boxer Max became sick & barely hanging on to life. We had never been to Erindale Vet before but it was the only hospital willing and open to accept him so we rushed him there. Once we got him there 3 staff members rushed out to the car to carry him in and straight on a IV, he barely had a pulse. The Dr & her incredible assistants did such an amazing job & our boy is doing well now. But it didn't end there! The staff have continued to call & check on him & he had a check-up yesterday and again had a wonderful experience and care by Dr Jone & staff. Thanks so much!

Low stress and fear free methods appear good, nice construction/design. However I felt trapped and coerced into additional testing for my cat's standard UTI leading to a $500 bill. They actually wanted to do several more tests which would have brought the bill up to $700-800. They refused to give antibiotics without a blood draw and Radiograph in addition to the unrinalisis. They also wouldn't offer any kind of payment plan. My pets are my babies and I love them dearly. I want the best care for them and am willing to live on less to care for them, but this was totally excessive and more stressful for my cat than it needed to be due to extra testing

We just switched to Erindale from another clinic, and I just had my dog Juno at Erindale this morning for a wellness checkup. The assistant working reception was very friendly and prompt on getting us into an exam room. Dr. Jones was AMAZING, and so was her assistant Kyla. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and caring. It was one of the most comprehensive checkups I've seen done on my dog. The price was certainly reasonable for everything that came along with the checkup, which included a vaccine and preventative medication for a couple other things. They did not try to upsell anything, which I definitely appreciated. Also went above and beyond to ask all the right questions and make suggestions to keep Juno's teeth healthy to avoid the need of having a dental. We've had Juno at Erindale for nail trims before, and I KNOW we made the right choice in switching her healthcare to this clinic as well. The clinic itself was incredibly clean and organized as well.

I have been bringing my cats to Erindale Vet Hospital for over a year now and overall, they have been great! Dr. Schaefer and the front desk staff are friendly. They are a busy clinic though, which usually results in some wait time when you call in but it is nice to be able to pay for your pets food over the phone and do curb side pickup. I recently brought my three cats in to receive their vaccines and there was a miscommunication regarding the amount of time needed for their appointments, resulting in me having to come back another day with one of my cats. Dr. Schaefer was apologetic at the time and management made sure to call me the next day to apologize. They also went above and beyond to make it right. I am thankful for that, because if you have a cat, you know how stressful it can be to bring them to the vet. I am sure that they learned from my experience and it won't happen again. I look forward to bringing my kitties to them for years to come.

This is not our regular vet clinic, but we had to have our beloved cat euthanized and Dr. Wiks was able to come to our home at short notice. Although we had never met her before, we could not have asked for a kinder, more caring vet at this difficult time. She treated our little cat with such tenderness and respect. I took my cat there after how many years since her last checkup, they did her checkup fast and we got the results of her blood work back the next day. At her next appointment for her shots, pills and new food everything was explained in a way that was easy to understand and she's already gained a lot of weight back since that appointment and is as vocal as she can be. The people who work there truly love animals and do their best to make sure their taken care of, the vets and other employees are friendly and supportive. Would recommend this clinic for anyone with a pet.

Erindale Animal Hospital is the only place we trust for the health of our pet rats. The staff is knowledgable, kind, and compassionate, with a genuine care for the health and wellbeing of our animals. You can tell that every staff member there loves animals, no matter how big or small. We've been through a couple health problems with one of our rats, Lord Bullingdon. Early on, he had a respiratory issue that was hard to diagnose (as is common with small animals), in which the doctor we saw actually consulted with the owner of the clinic and other doctors for a second and third opinion. He prescribed antibiotics that saved our boy's life, and he went on to be happy, healthy little fat rat. Later, he was having some teeth issues where they were growing outwards, and we were recommended a teeth shaving procedure where he would be put under anesthetic. The procedure solved the issue completely and was the right choice for what our boy needed. They even sent him home with some treats in the carrying case, and gave us a call a few weeks later to see how he was doing. Unfortunately, now we've found a little lump on his back. With every issue that arises, we are able to call and ask all of the questions we need, including what the procedure entails, options, and risk. We 100% endorse Erindale Animal Hospital for the utmost care of small animals/exotics, especially rats.

We've been using Erindale Animal Hospital for our entire fur family for a few years now. They are absolutely the best. My dogs' reaction says it all lol. They used to hide when they heard the word 'vet' but now they get just as excited as when they hear 'walk' or 'car ride'. The doctors are exceptional at what they do and the care they feel for the animals is obvious. Highly recommend.

We recently took our 13 year old dog Lily to Erindale Animal Hospital for an assessment as she had some concerning symptoms. The staff were all so kind and caring, and Dr Jones was extremely professional and compassionate in her interactions. I did express some concerns to them around some lack of communication issues that were frustrating and difficult to deal with as a stressed and emotional dog parent, however the feedback was well received in a very professional manner and it improved greatly after my feedback. Lily was there for 4 days, and came home with a good prognosis and the hope that she would continue to recover. Unfortunately this wasn't the case and we had to say goodbye to our sweet Lily yesterday. The experience, while the most difficult thing I've done, was so compassionate, peaceful and gentle for both my partner and I and our children. Dr Jones is just the best, and she helped to really make the whole experience calm and peaceful. Her whole entire vibe is just so nice, and she is a lovely and beautiful human being who so obviously cares deeply about her furry little patients. Thank you Dr Jones + staff for loving our little Lily like we do it and helping to soften a traumatic experience for all of us.

I could not say more amazing things about Erindale Animal Hospital. We adopted Kinley from the SPCA in 2019 and she had her spay surgery at this hospital. I thought it only natural to keep things consistent and continue to use this hospital as our normal veterinarian. When Kinley came down with a mystery illness in April 2020, they were there right away for me to come and bring her in. A lot of research and work and tests gave us a better picture of what my poor little girl was going through, and the staff and doctors were in contact with me every step of the way and always kept me informed. They would send me pictures and videos of how she was doing because I physically couldn't be with her to comfort her (thanks, COVID-19). They ALWAYS asked before performing any tests and did not perform any unnecessary procedures. They treated her as if she were their own. The dedication of Dr. Jones and her staff to ensure the happiness and good health of everyone's fur-babies is second to none, along with their knowledge, kindness, and caring that they provide when I'm a basket-case worrying if my baby is going to be ok. Thank you so much for everything! We will hands-down recommend this clinic to anyone in need of a veterinarian.

I rate 2 because the waiting time was horrendous. Our dog was supposed to be done in 2 hours next thing its been 4 hours and we had to be like we have to go. Not to mention I had to call them 5 times to see what was taking so long. No one knew what they were doing beside the vet. And after we still had no idea what was wrong and would need way mode tests. We had come 2.5 hours one way and needed a babysitter and they were aware when we dropped of they said max 2 hours.

I recommend this vet clinic to anyone and everyone with a pet. I have two dogs, a large breed with diabetes and a small dog. The entire staff here are fantastic, the vets take so much time to ensure you understand what's going on with your animal and that you know how to care for them. Once, we received a call to check in on our dog who had just had surgery from Dr. Nairn on his day off, when the place was closed. When the large dog was diagnosed with diabetes, they made sure we were fully comfortable with giving him shots and let us practice with saline solution. They give the best care of any veterinary clinic I've ever been to.

We have been at Erindale Vet Clinic since it opened in Erindale. We have had excellent service with Dr Jones and Dr Lee and assistant Kyla. We just brought in our ten yr old cat and did not know how he would react and they were great with him. He was so calm and even had some blood and urine taken without issue. The vets also do an excellent job with our female. But , Our female has hypothyroidism and we have to get her tested every six months and have to do a physical or we are not allowed her medication. This is the only thing we do not understand. When we asked why also a physical we were told it is different and must be done. But if blood shows up as her still needing the medication than why the physical. I would think one test a year would be plenty unless we notice a difference in her. I should mention as our cat has aged and is 17 she does not want to be handled and we have to sedate her with pills ( which we would rather do less than often). So we end up paying for tests we are unsure we need but have to or we have been told they will not prescribe her medication to us. We stay because the vets and staff are awesome and its close to home. But gave a four because of the question of tests. Oh and her medication is never ready when the front desk says it is. Sorry so long of a review. But i still would highly recommend this clinic. Maybe we need to ask more questions!!

Absolutely fantastic vet clinic! The staff here is well trained, friendly, and excellent with my large rather goofy dog. When I brought him in (he'd eaten something he shouldn't have), his initial assessment met my expectations - on par with my experience with other vet clinics in the city when I brought my other pets in the past. I was satisfied with the amount of questions they asked and how they examined my dog, since it was exactly what I expected and thought his assessment was done. I was so wrong! The vet came in and did an even more thorough assessment, even well beyond what was necessary for his current issue to ensure his TOTAL health. (And, to top it all off, they charged me exactly in line with what the other vet practices with a less thorough health assessment did for my other dog). I've had pets all of my life and have experienced other clinics both locally and out of the city, but my experience here was heads above anywhere else. And that's just with the dog - business wise, they are also open and up front, bring you a printed estimate of services, talk to you about your options in a non judgemental / pushy way. I believe this is very important and something that is lacking in other practices - I love my dog, he absolutely is a member of our family, but they seem to understand that money sometimes is an issue unfortunately so they give you a selection of options and discuss the merits of each. I did end up going with the most expensive option as it was best for him, but I appreciated knowing that I could have treated him at home as well, though not as thoroughly. I recommend Erindale Animal Hospital whole heartedly to everyone!

Wish I could put into words how terrible this place is but I can’t. Don’t trust them with your pets. We trusted our dog and because of the lack of care they put in, and the vets who chalk everything up as a misunderstanding or a lack of knowledge to handle technology because of their age. So unprofessional. If you want your dog to have a chance go literally anywhere else.

Continuously amazed at the dedication of the staff at this facility. My dog needs orthopedic surgery and when we were unable to get referred within Sask in a reasonable time frame (Covid backups) he referred me to continue treatment in Edmonton. When the surgeon in Edmonton provided me with a higher quote than I was expecting, Dr.Leo reached out and sought alternative opinions, sending the CTs as far as the states at my request. He gave me more than enough information to understand my options so that I could evaluate every alternative. That he wasn't going to personally profit but went above and beyond to reach out to multiple surgeons on my behalf is a testament to the professionalism of this vet hospital.

The staff has always felt incredible and seems as though they genuinely care for our animals and their well being. The staff are friendly, nice, and give off a great environment. I had my dog body check on Aug 23rd, then I need another copy after a week. However, they said yes on the phone, when I got there to pick up my doc, they said they won't fill up the letter and print out new copy of my dog body check letter unless I pay for another body check fee. their vet are "really professional", they just toke 5min to finish the body check. As you can see, they don't even change a word in the note. Also, when I second time to go there, they were very rude. The reception person satirized me.

Took our foster puppy to Erindale Animal Hospital and all staff were wonderful, caring and so kind. Dr. Wiks was also very informative, thorough and caring. Everyone we spoke to seemed passionate and truly loved the animals they cared for. Highly reccomend.

Long Weekend and Our Black Lab/Border Collie (70 pounds) got into 12-14 Costco Cookies (Chocolate chip, Triple Chocolate, Macadamia). We initially made him vomit by giving him peroxide but he did not vomit enough so we went into Erindale Animal Hospital. They were quick, attentive and nice/caring people. Ended up giving him something to make him vomit again, which brought up most of the cookies in his stomach, and then did blood work too make sure that was good. The price and cost of everything was fair, and then we got too take our pup home! Thank you!

I brought my bunny here to be neutered and Dr. Perlinger did an amazing job performing the surgery! They also helped my bunny recover from GI stasis which can become quickly fatal if not remedied. Although the price were on the costly side, I recommend this place for rabbit owners especially since finding rabbit-savy vets in Saskatoon has been very challenging!

Just took my year old Pitbull/Mastiff there tonight to get his stitches removed. The staff was wonderful and very polite. Most people are a little intimidated when they first meet my lil man but that wasn't the case here at all. Front desk greeted me and let my fur baby basically jump into her lap. The vet (I didn't catch her name) was very kind and the service was quick. My puppers left with his tail wagging and happy. I will definitely come back should he need any further medical care. I highly recommend this vet clinic.

My husband and I adopted a senior dog that ended up having many health issues. Partially due to its breed but also due to lack of care from previous owners. Dr. Jones & her staff have been so wonderful with our dog and us as owners. Dr. Jones has called me personally to give me test results, answer any questions and check on our pup. I feel that she is never in a hurry and takes her time to address all concerns. They have been so accommodating when we are having issues and get us in as soon as they can. I can tell she truly cares about the animals she works with and us as owners as well. My pup is always comfortable with her & never nervous. This place is incredible with your pets!

I took my dog nine there to get euthanized and they were absolutely amazing!! Very considerate and understanding of what we were going through. Even recieved her paw print in the mail. I have debated for a very long time writing a review for this place. They do thorough examinations, I will give them that. BUT if your cat, at least this was my experience, has anything more complex than yearly vaccines and exams, well my advice is please do your homework and if possible get a second opinion. The vets here, made so many mistakes with my pets. I'm still upset about it. I quit taking my pets here and will never again. Just do your homework, don't just take what they say at face value. Again if possible get a second opinion.

Great vet, but quite pricey. They definitely err on the side of caution in regards to ordering tests, some that other vets wouldn't think is necessary. But its very clear that all the vets, techs, and employees care for animals and love their jobs.

It is with a very heavy heart I write this. It is long but bear with me. I brought my short-haired persian girl in for an emergency C section oct 5. Obviously being an emergency we didn't plan for it. I asked for a rough idea of cost. She put me on hold for 20 mins then returned with a figure. When I arrived and was seen the figure I got was very different. I asked why and nobody could tell me. I was passed around and eventually told they would "deal with it" I called 5 times that day trying to get updates. Everytime I got that same desk girl I was either brushed off or put on hold sometimes for 40 mins. When I finally got tired of waiting and drove down there near closing time I saw that desk girl ( I recognized the voice) on a very loud personal call for the entirety of my visit while the other desk staff covered. I guess that's why I couldn't get through to anyone... hm. Strike one. Meryl was discharged to me. I saw about 3 vet techs but never a vet. If I had a question they had to run in the back and ask the vet (why not just have the vet talk to me) I asked specifically about medication to prevent infection. This was brushed off. Strike two. The next day she looked awful. Listless. Groggy. I called the office 4 times. I was told this is normal. Just give her less pain medication. Send us a picture of her incision.. I said.. it's so painful she won't let me touch it. That should have been a clue. But it wasn't. It was brushed off. All my calls were either put on hold forever or if I did manage to get ahold of anyone it was brushed off as "normal". 4 times I called. Eventually they gave me a number the vets see to text if I needed. I did text it and Dr. Jones told me to bring her in for her complimentary after assement (that I was NEVER told I had). She had a massive infection. In shock. I found out after that to accommodate the incorrect quote I was given by the desk staff, certain services were cut from the procedure without my knowledge or consent. One of them was a blood panel that would have shown if there was any infection. Given them reason to prescribe the antibiotics I asked for.. Dr. Jones went above and beyond to do everything she could but we were too late. She passed. If she had been on antibiotics right away she might have lived. If I brought her in 12 hours earlier when I thought something might be wrong she might have lived. It was just too late. I feel we were failed her on so many levels before it got here. No communication. Lack of accountability. Not listening to my concerns. Not telling me to just bring her in right away the first time there was any cause for concern looks to me like they are trying to avoid free after consults and booking only paying customers in time slots. Not asking me if I wanted blood panels omitted... just omitting because somebody gave me the wrong price so they were trying to save money and make it fit the quote. I'm sorry. My girl was failed over and over by this clinic and the total lack of foresight or communication. In the end she paid the ultimate price and we get heartbreak and the bill for the mistake. If It wasn't for Dr Jones and how she went above and beyond and tried everything she could I would give 0 stars. I would follow her to ANY clinic...But I will never set foot in erindale again. The unprofessionalism and lack of communication is deadly combination in a medical office.

A few months ago I brought my 5 month old puppy in to erindale animal hospital for an X-ray. They kept him for nearly 11 hours to do a simple X-ray, despite me calling several times. Each time I called I was placed on hold. I finally was told my pup was ready to be picked up just after 6pm and was informed that he had not been fed a meal during his stay. The clinic then charged me for a hospitalization day. The vet student advised me that my dog would need surgery and there was nothing more they could do. I went to another vet to get a second opinion. They did a new X-ray within 20 minutes, charged me a fraction of the price erindale did, and told me my pup had a soft tissue injury that did not require surgery. My dog has fully healed and did not need surgery. EAH is far too expensive for the quality of care they provide to our pets.

This is a fantastic clinic. The staff and Vets are compassionate, caring and thorough. They give amazing care and go above and beyond. There have been times when I’ve called with a question or my kitties needed a same day urgent apt and they have always gone above and beyond to reassure me and provide exceptional care - even after hours. Little Muffin is always in good hands there and she appreciates them all so very much. Will not go anywhere else.

Never heard of a vet clinic with “exam room attendants”. Super unnecessary and can’t help but wonder if this contributes to higher than normal prices. I just didn’t appreciate the extra body in the exam room with my terrified cat.

Brought in our kitten for digestion issues about a year ago (kept getting constipated & throwing up). First question they asked was what was my budget. Went through several exams/tests, over double my budget (ended up paying $3000-$4000, no exaggeration) all for inconclusive results. After 3-4 unsuccessful & devastating visits with no outcome, I could see our poor little guy was getting extremely stressed with no improvement, my heart couldn't take it anymore so I went with my hunch about food allergies (which I'd brought up with the vet during the initial visit, but was quickly disregarded) and after some research of my own switched his food to a hydrolyzed protein diet. It worked. I feel they took advantage of our concern for our pets health and were more focused on turning a profit. Their claim to a "stress-free clinic" is absolute bull since this was an extremely traumatic experience for our cat and he hasn't trusted humans the same since those visits. We now go to Orchard Vet, they are amazing and give us several reasonable options with different price ranges instead of automatically suggesting the most expensive procedures and feeding on our worry.

Vet - it was great check up and vaccine update for our cat. Vet was so good with him. Boarding - kitty was sad but he's shy and I knew he was in good hands. We will definitely be using this as out regular vet and bring our dog here too!
