I would give zero stars, if that was possible. Agree with previous reviewer: absolutely DO NOT go with large dog(s). Dr. Elbermani was obviously afraid of our friendly, well socialized GSD and traumatized her with unnecessary harsh treatment (examination, immunization) and muzzle etc. for the nail trimming. Dr. Corrigan spayed our kitten and left her and us dealing with a ginormous belly bump. Dr. Elbermani then did the follow-up examination and treated the cat just as harshly, talking down to me. The vets work without assistants and leave you dealing with your pet. Short hrs, always on hold, unfriendly office staff. (Too) small examination rooms without windows.

I adore Dr. Ebermani and Dr. Corrigan seems good as well. I haven’t met the other vet yet but I’m sure they’re fine too. They’re always really nice and explain things well and are by FAR the best priced clinic I’ve found in the city. It’s also very apparent how much they care about the animals. The only thing that isn’t great is their hours. They open later and close earlier than most and therefore the weekend spots book up really quickly. I did just learn that they do have emergency availability until 10 though so THAT is wonderful!

Absolutely phenomenal. I took a stray I found to get checked for a microchip and overall checkup. The vet did an amazing job and gave me some great advice. He didn't try to upsell anything, or get me to pay for the services (he recommended the regular owners pay). After everything, I wasn't charged anything even for the visit! Incredible service! The vet is extremely personable, honest, and genuine. If I ever need vet services I will not be going anywhere else!

Booked an appointment to get my cat fixed, got everything included in the price (cone because my cat is known to excessively lick himself) and when I took him and got him fixed they charged me the same price as before but without the cone! Was not happy with service, didn't get told anything about recovery or what to do, they even cut his nails too short which caused them to bleed. Would have given 1 star but the only good thing is that they called a week later to see if he's doing okay.

They are the place I take my 3 babies for annual vaccinations and everything else health related. Even today with the corona virus I could take my babies inside and be with them with mask instead of leaving outside curbside drop off/pick up which I know some vets do and I am against.

I have been to a lot of vets and have never felt the level of care from the vets that I do at this place. The front desk people are kinda "meh" but they're busy and they have nothing to do with my animals so that is not something I'd ever judge on. Theyve never been rude though. Before I knew about this place I was told my cat needed dental surgery, needed it now, and then told it was going to cost me $3500, and then berated for not being able to afford that. I got another opinion from Dr. E at this vet who told me that my cat will EVENTUALLY need it and gave me options for her care in the meantime... 3 years later I got her teeth pulled for $800 including bloodwork. Not only is that less 1/3 of the price I was quoted by other vets but it also allowed me time to save. Ive also had to give my cat the same drugs a few times a year for her whole life. I had her for 7 years before Prarieland and not one of the previous vets told me that she should be wiened off of the drugs. I can't imagine the damage I have, or could have caused, to my poor baby if I hadn't found Prarieland. Some vets really don't care and are just in it for the money! That is one of the biggest draws to this place. They care more about you and your pet than they do money. I even see it in their day to day. So many times I've been waived the exam fee (which is $50 less than the 6 other vets ive attended to in the city before finding Prarieland). I've moved cities lots and none of those vets or the several ive seen in this city have ever waived any fee EVER. Usually its an exam fee on top of alllll of the other work they do and the drugs. Dr. C is my regular vet now and she's never been less than wonderful. She's always sweet. She sees that I worry too much and will always do an extra test or give me suggestions and advice to help curb my worries.

I really enjoyed my visit to this vet clinic. I brought my 17 year old cat there for the first time, after getting the run around at other vet clinics. They took care of him like it was their own pet. Dr. Elbermani taught me how to hydrate my cat after diagnosing him with chronic kidney disease. He was patient, kind and encouraging. I definitely trust my fur baby in his hands.

In an industry where it's very easy to take advantage of pet owners, I've always felt that the doctors conduct themselves with honesty and integrity when dealing with our pet. Their prices are more than fair and they won't up sell you on things your pet doesn't need. Fast service and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this clinic.

His work with each patient is thorough and he is extremely good at following up with his patients as well. I am a trainer of dogs and recommend all of the dogs I train to Dr Elbermani. The front office staff at Prairie Land Vet Clinic, are friendly, professional, and once again, have worked with Dr. Elbermani for as many years as I can remember. He is a great guy as well!

EDIT Got a call from Dr. Elbermani and pointed out the post neutering home care instructions. It was in the bottom of the payment receipt. As usual, I thought it was just a receipt. This is how things can be screwed up when employees don’t explain things to clients. It would simply take 10 seconds to point out the instructions. Huge Respect to Dr. Elbermani. ****** What an amazing doctor, but the Tech and front desk people have tons of room for improvement. Our boy was fixed today. We needed to pick him up with a Cone even if we reminded them why he does not have one. His Dr was gone home by them. Simply said: he has not leaked stitches yet, protocol, etc. My boy started leaking stitches immediately once we arrived. I called the clinic right away as I was very upset. Reasons: busy work From home, COVID, frosted with unprofessionalism of staff... Needed to go back and get one again. Told the front desk people this will be my boy’s last visit to this clinic. Three stars for Dr. Due to his unprofessional staffs. All other guys got zero from me. Note: I also did not receive any post neutering instructions. Surprised me a lot!

Can't give Dr. Elbermani enough praise. He is great with our 115lb rottie. Prairieland Vet was recommended by a friend with a husky, who loved the prices and large rooms. I'd have to agree 100%. The rooms are double the size of our last vet, and having someone care for your pet who is not afraid of their size is a critical point that can't be overlooked. Reasonable prices and outstanding service every time. Highly recomended!

We will never again set foot in this clinic as the service of the Vet (Rebecca) was not thorough causing our poor baby to suffer and die. Our dog was suffering from terrible arthritis as a senior dog (understandeable at his age) and he was not properly examined or diagnosed before given a prescription that had horrific side effects. There were obviously other issues that should have been better diagnosed by the Vet (determined at another Vet Clinic) and we should have been informed better of this drug. Had we known prior of the possible side effects we would have chosen different and we would possibly still have our baby with us today, instead i pick up his ashes this week and feel an emptiness in our home everyday. He was only 10, and i know he could have been here a little longer if we had been better informed. So advice to all, ask as many questions as you can, do not trust just because they have a Vet degree, sometimes trusting your gut can be the difference between life or death for your furbaby. Do your research as a pet owner and always get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right.

My new pup was in rough shape when we found this place. Went to various other vets who charged outrageous prices only to tell me nothing was wrong...when CLEARLY he was having some major issues. Dr. Elbermani was the only vet who was able to finally properly diagnose my little guy and, two years later, my now full grown dog (fur baby :})is doing amazing. Their prices are very reasonable as well and I'll never again take him anywhere else. We've also seen Dr. Corrigan a couple of times here and she seems really good as well. This place was a life saver for us and I'm grateful to both of the vets here. Needless to say, I would definitely highly recommend this clinic.

We have been taking all of our pets there now for over 10 years, and Dr. Albermani and the staff has never been anything but the most kind and caring of any vets we have gone to. They are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, and they are so worth it. He treats the animals with the kind of love that you would give your own pet, not like it was a money maker. Several times we thought we would have to put a pet down, but Dr. Albermani had us try other options twice and both times the pets went on to live a good life with the problem gone. If I could give more stars I would!

I never write bad reviews but I don't want your pets to be neglected as mine was. I took my cat and dog here for years, but NEVER again. I feel bad for ever taking them here in the first place! Recently our cat became ill. They tested him and sent us home. After getting his results back they advised to bring him in immediately. I did. He stayed overnight, they didn't call me in the morning to update me. I had to call to get an update. Then Prairieland sent our cat home on the Saturday (cause they're closed Sundays), didn't advise to go to the College, didn't send home any pain meds, showed me how to do a treatment, and that's it. After speaking to another vet I was told they far under prescribed his treatment and should never have sent him home! They thought it was a kidney issue but then didn't test his urine at all - which I now know is a very basic and should have been done. Turns out it wasn't what they guessed at and he was in pain (no pain meds), and dying. The vet college was amazing and kind but at this point he was suffering. They still haven't called to see if he's ok...and he's not. We had a traumatic experience here and I won't subject any pet to this place again.

Terrible customer service. We called into the vet before we took out cat in and asked about prices. The price we got included cost for neutering, anesthesia, and a cone. When we picked up our cat the customer service reps didn't care to explain a anything to us like how long recovery would take, what to give him ect. The last thing that made this the wrost place to go to, when we picked up our cat then refused to give us a cone and honour the quote we got. I would never recommend a place like this to anyone. Especially a place that takes care of your extended family. Lastly, ill be telling everyone I know to actively avoid this vet.

Took my kitten (Simo) in for shots/neutering. Simo wasnt scared of the doc at all-- because the doc had that awesome of a presence. Such a relief to feel like your fur baby is in good hands. I have used this vet for many years. Vets are professional and kind. Prices seem reasonable. The past year the receptionists are not very friendly at all, which has me contemplating finding a new office. If I come in with my dog and I’m greeted with blank stares it is not a pleasant experience. The same goes for paying the bill and leaving, I don’t expect a party but maybe some eye movement or a muttered word would be appreciated. Please educate your staff on customer service as they are your frontline.

Usually good service, but my dog is diabetic and takes insulin, and I went in on a Monday morning to pick up insulin and they were closed for month end or inventory. When a diabetic dog eats and get no insulin, they get very sick, super high blood sugar, cant stand, fiend for water, drink too much, then puke, have accidents all over the house, and can die. We left a message with the answering service, and they left a message with the vet, and I could see the woman vet in the building and knocked cuz we were desperate, to see if I could get some inculin. She wouldnt answer the door. Called 5 other vets to see if we could buy some from them, and they all said not without a prescription. We would have to make an apointment with them to get him re diagnosed which was over 3 hundred in the first place. There was no way to win, no way to get a prescription. Really really disapointed with the lack of care and service, and manners by the female vet here.

Pffft worst vet ever . Avoid at all cost. Unless you have a cat you maybe ok if you like public euthanasia. Big breed dog owners beware, they really dont like them. Over charge on medication also . $$$$ is all they care about.

I took my dog for a first time to consult for allergies. The vet did not introduce herself and also did not make an effort to make my dog feel comfortable or even acknowledge my dog. She seemed uncomfortable with my breed of dog before entering the room and also continued with being awkward during the whole visit. I was asked to muzzle the dog even without the dog showing any aggressive tendencies. Do not go to this doctor if you have a medium to big dog breed. She did not provide time to ask additional questions. Way over charged for medication at this clinic. Also got to witness exam door to the waiting room open to an owner leaving after their cat being euthanized. Horrible vet experience!! Waited 20 min in the wait room to pay my bill and the poor women that had her cat euthanized had to wait just as long to pay her bill.

Dr. Elmermani was recommended to us and we have been bringing our two dogs to him for close to 10 years. You couldn't ask for a more friendly, personable or friendly person! You will also never be over charged or charged for something that isn't necessary. It's a great place to bring your pet!

Awesome. My old kitty had been here for a few emergency type things, but our home vet was elsewhere. Kitty developed some stuff that the other vet pooched. Got 2nd opinion at Prairieland. They got kitty up and and running. He's old, it's complex and they took him on no questions asked. Fair price, kind care. Prompt and call back when they say they will, and it's the vet who calls! Great experience at difficult time.

AMAZING vet clinic. We came in with our chihuahua who needed his teeth cleaned and needed some teeth extracted. They gave us a free consultation (only vet in town that offered) AND ended up charging us less than the consultation had estimated (even when it should have been more). Both vets were extremely kind and gentle. I was super impressed when the operating vet called us after the procedure to tell us how our little guy had done. Pain medication even comes pre-drawn in syringes. The vet assistants and the receptionists are super friendly as well! We are new to the city but have already decided that this will be our pets vet for sure! We cannot stress enough how impressed we were with their service.

The staff and vets here go above and beyond. After my dog needed attention and stitches outside of normal hrs - Dr. Elbermani and staff beat me to the clinic! Dr Albermani's behavior was outright abusive in recent appointments with him. I had been taking my animals there for the last 16 years l think l would have been treated differently if l had a man with me or wasn't a woman. I do not recommend his practice to anyone unless you are prepared to eventually experience his unprofessional bullying behavior

Best vets in town. Dr. E (no it doesn't stand for evil and he doesn't want one million dollars. Well he may, but not from you in an evil way.) Has a whiteboard where he goes to great lengths just to have understand why a procedure is necessary and what it is exactly. You never leave feeling like you've been duped. Dr. Corrigan is kind and very loving of our pets when we bring them in. Highly recommended.

Our dog is getting older and has lost her sight. We have been going to Praireland for what seems like a lifetime and always have felt Dr Elbermani gave the best care. We used to go to another vet clinic until they joined a group and the price went up and the service went down. We always felt the service came first with Dr Elbermani. Can't sat enough.

The prices are not inexpensive, at all.I was in the vet office five minutes, and my bill was almost two hundred dollars for a brief exam and some eye and ear drops. Beyond this, the vet continued to refer to me as "dear." I am a fifty year old woman, and I find it condescending when men refer to women as "dear," "sweetie," etc. Not cool. I will be looking elsewhere for veterinary services, but from what I understand, this province has some of the highest vet costs in the entire country.
