We have been going to Dr. Omer for a couple of years now and him and his staff are amazing! They are very careful with the animals and quite knowledgable. They will explain in easy to understand terms anything you need to know and they won't tell you to get treatments that are not needed. Highly recommended, definitely worth the shirt drive out of town!

Definitely worth the short drive. If you are looking for a fancy, posh clinic with a super chatty vet then this may not be for you but if you are looking for a vet that is great with your pet and has very reasonable prices then this is definitely the spot. He has been great with our puppy as well as all of my family's pets, even in extreme emergency situations. Highly recommended!

What a great vet! Dr. Omer seems very knowledgeable and our dog liked him very much. We heard of him through a good friend after our former family vet underwent some drastic price hikes and quoted us an elaborate surgery for cancer removal we simply couldn't afford. Dr. Omer's price was less than 1/5th of the other quote and he was very reassuring that we had even been quoted for some unnecessary exams at the other place. Keep in mind when visiting that this is a small vet office with the kind of no frills service you'd expect when saving so much money! Be prepared to possibly wait outside a moment if they are releasing another dog due to the limited space, and expect to be involved a bit in your pet's treatment. Well worth the drive out of the city overall, highly recommend!

We phoned him to look at a small problem for our Dog at a cheap price. He seemed nice but was in a hurry for us to get out there, we told him we were on our way and we'd be there by a specific time, he agreed and we left. He didn't give us any directions so we were stuck out in the dark looking for his place. He has no signs on his property for you to easily find his farm and he never answers his phone. We called 16 times before he finally answered and by then we were already on our way home because we couldn't find the place. Once he did answer he was rude to us and just brushed us off like we were nothing and told us he just got in. If we were already on our way why weren't you around when we were knocking on doors trying to find your place? He didn't even try to reason with us, give us directions, or help us. He just said goodbye and hung up, never even asked us or seemed concerned about our Dog. As far as first impressions and experiences go, this wasn't a good one. Took my Dog to the regular vet and I won't be phoning this place again. I'm sure he's a nice guy and is excellent at his job but we did not have a pleasant experience.

an absloutly outstanding vet! extremely cheap price, you can really tell the vet cares more for the animal than for the money. an old school vet who is down to earth and you can hold a conversation about almost anything, makes jokes and loves to have fun with his customers. recommended by my mother and a few other people who told me about him. he's located about 15-20 minutes from saskatoon but is WELL worth the little drive for the service you recieve

Rick Omer is an amazing vet. Actually his whole team is absolutly amazing. I brought my dog there when she was pregnant and they were so good with her. I would choose him over a vet in the city ANYDAY. Dr. Omer is straight forward, he doesnt beat around the bush and has a good sense of humor. They are full of good information and are willing to help u with anything that u ask for. Dr. Omer will now be the only vet that i ever go to.

Well they say you get what you pay for, but the fact we had to pay makes that un true. A couple months ago my wife took our cat to Omer because we thought our cat was pregnant. Charged us for a full consult for 5 minutes to just tell us it was fat. Okay our bad. Then though a couple weeks ago we took it back to get spade because we do not want kittens around. To our surprise we get a call that not only did the cat not need a spay after he already opened it up but our cat was actually a male not a female. So he did not only not do his job right when he checked if it was pregnant but also did not check before he operated on our cat. Then he tried to charge us for a spay and when my wife said no still charged us for a neuter. Please do your pet a favour and don’t come here. As the veterinary board said when we called to report, this should have never happened so don’t let it happen to your pet.
