Very caring and friendly staff, took great care of my rat after she needed a tumour removed. Would highly recommend!!
Best clinic out there, I love these guys. They are always warm and welcoming and SUPER adaptable for my schedule. I researched for a while before i decided on these guys for my rabbits. They have the most knowledge of small exotics in Saskatoon. Love Love Love you guys you always treat me and my animals so well.
Took my 15 month old puppy for his second set of shots and the Vet was amazing, he didnt even notice she poked him at all.
Awesome place to bring any pet pretty much..I have a mastiff who isn't to fawn of other people minus the ones who he lives with let alone not being by my side anyway ..out come was awesome great feed back on his checkup had a couple shots still didn't put up a fuss like he did b4 that's another story lol as for prices on meds that's affordable and wow customer service is so so friendly to the pet and of course the human lol..its a front door drop off which is really nice as well during this pandemic..thank you for being there for my big silly mastiff boxer cross..is a must to visit veterinarian clinic I'll recommend this office any time to anyone..????????
Love this vet office. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I love that they suggest non medical options too instead of always pills. They care for all of the animals, big or small. Our dogs love going there.
I just took my puppy for the first time and the vet and the employee were very patient and sweet with her
They care as much for my dog as I do. Professional, personable and considerate. Office is spotless.
Great vet clinic. Holistic vet with superb service and wonderful compassion. I have been taking my cats and dogs here for over ten years and i highly recommend them.
Took our cat Mona there, she had a bit of an emergency. Great service by everyone! Mona got great treatment, gold star!
Doc Wickstrom is the best
My cats got into some mouse poison a couple of weeks ago. We discovered it first thing in the morning as everyone was getting ready for school and so I was scrambling to call around the city looking for a vet who could get us in that day. The receptionist at Acadia Vet Clinic was so understanding - they didn't have any appointments open, but if I could bring the cats in right away she said Dr. Wickstrom could see them before she went in for her surgeries and they wouldn't charge a walk-in or hospitalization fee. I explained that I needed to get my kids to school first and she was very understanding, offered that I could just bring them in whenever and they'd just keep them on the premises and get Dr. Wickstrom to look at them between appointments whenever she had time. Over the course of dealing with the whole thing, we were back at the vet clinic three times, seeing Doctor Wickstrom the day of, back for blood tests later in the week and then back to see Doctor Hilberry, and we've been very happy with them at every visit. They've been very understanding about our stress, accommodating of our schedule, very thorough in explaining risks and treatment options in a balanced way that addressed both our concerns for our pets' safety and our budget. Dr Hilberry even called my husband the week after we were in to see how the cats were doing and ask if we thought we'd need a refill of their prescription - since we were likely to run out over Christmas. I'm very, very happy with Acadia and have been recommending them to everyone I know.
I've been taking my dogs to Acadia for years, and cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Great staff, and breeder friendly!
This is a lovely vet, a tad expensive but the vets are super nice. I brought my Cockatiel here and had a good experience. You can normally get in pretty quick if it's an emergency which is nice. Over all this is a nice set that also specializes in exotics!
Horrible! I had to put my rabbit down due to this vet not taking care of my rabbit while she was there and never used any of her medication while she was there all day! I will never be going there again if you have any exotic pet don't waste your time or money on them!
We had our very first appointment at Acadia today. It was fantastic! Following covid protocol, I took Pippa to the door and they took her inside for her checkup. Once complete, Dr Higgins called to discuss the visit. Amazingly, she spent 15 minutes on the phone with me discussing Pippa and told me about her check up. I felt very good at the end of the call, knowing she was very thorough and took good care of Pippa without me being in the building. I really appreciate her taking the time to talk to me and did not feel rushed to end the call. THANK YOU!
They weren't very forth coming in regards to what they checked for when my pet had a check up. I wasn't allowed inside so I do t even know they actually checked out my pet. Paying 88.00 to stand outside is a red flag for me.
All the veterinarians are very nice and they really care for your pets and want them to be healthy and happy!
The only clinic I send my dog to
very nice people
Great vet clinic in Saskatoon. Got our dog in on very short notice for a rabies shot. Reception and very were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
The Acadia Veterinary Clinic has very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They also have the facilities to Xray including dental Xrays for your pet. My dogs actually like going to the vet.
Friendly staff, really cares about your pet :)
Always accommodating & friendly
Vet techs are super friendly and bubbly. Vet that looks after my pup is so nice and very informative. Will be bringing my dog here for ever!
People here are always very very friendly, they treat my kitten extremely well and are very knowledgeable. When I brought my kitten in to get neutered I asked to see the back and I was shown without hesitation. They have answered many questions on Facebook, even after hours. They have gone above and before my expectations!
Vets & staff are excellent, caring and genuinely concerned about the health and welfare of my furry family.....Thank you Care Team!
The staff are wonderful! They treat your pet like one of their own.
Our puppy contracted an "oral Papilloma" from somewhere and we were at a loss after going to our vet and hearing there was nothing we could do about it but wait unless we wanted to put him under. Out of desperation I emailed other vets that I knew of that we have yet to visit. Dr. Wickstrom responded to our plea promptly and gave us some excellent advice to try at home! We didn't even have to go in! 2 weeks later, the issue is almost totally gone thanks to the advice we were given. If we ever have issues with our pup again we will be going to Acadia!
Hands down the best vet clinic in Saskatoon! The staff are incredible and truly care about your pets well being. Acadia is always my first choice for veterinarian services! Bronson says Thank you for taking his porcupine quills out!
I cannot recommend this clinic enough. My kitty is having issues with her ears and the Vet handling her (Dr. Higgins) is great. When her ears were still bugging her she took a moment out of her day and came to ask me personally what was going on when I called the clinic. She called me back later in the week to also see how she was doing. They care so much about the animals.
Very welcoming staff. The vets are nice. I find the prices to be very expensive. I was quoted $1,500 for a canine tooth to be removed for my dog. I took her for a second opinion at my brothers vet and paid a quarter of the price.
I've been taking my rabbit here to get his nails cut. Very friendly staff and a reasonable price! They even offered and taught me how to do it myself, but I trust the team here to do it because they do such a good job!
We had a very positive first visit to Acadia Veterinary Clinic. Due to Covid we were met at the front door by a staff member who took our puppy inside. A short time later we had a call from Dr. Choi, she went over the results of her exam in a very friendly and professional way.
I first came to Acadia when I was fostering my now rescued puppy. The service was exceptional and they treated my dog like their own. They we're recommend by New Hope Dog Rescue, and I continued going after is adopted him. Definitely recommend!
Very nice and knowledgable Veterinarians. Staff is friendly.
Best vet. Very good
I love this vet. I have brought both my snake and my cat to them and Dr. Wikstrom treated them both with the same level of care.
My visit exceeded my expectations. I was prepared to spend a pile on my elderly poodle, Dr. Higgins set my mind at ease and began a gentle course of remedying his issues which were also very gentle on my pocketbook. Thank you so much to the kind staff as well! ❤️
I was very impressed and felt confident after taking my bird for a concern I had. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I was even more impressed when Dr. Altina personally called me a few days later to check up on my little guy. We are very thankful!

It's a wonderful clinic that's always clean and efficiently operated. The staff is knowledgeable and work together well. It's a great place and parking only seems like it would be a bit tricky as you can only turn in from one side of 8th but because it's so close to the corner you can just use the Timmies/Gas station parking lot.
I've been a client at Acadia for years and have never experienced any of the issues some reviewers on here are talking about. Dr.Wickstrom and Dr.Higgins are the ONLY vets in the city that I trust to care for my dogs. Their love for your pets and medical expertise are on a completely different level than I have ever experienced with any other vet.
Had a great experience with Dr Higgins and the team at Acadia. Dr Higgins was so great with my feisty little hamster and took the time to carefully examine him. She did a great job of explaining the exam results to me in detail. I really appreciated that my hammy was treated with the same care and respect as other types of pets. Shayla was a pleasure to talk to in setting everything up as well. Definitely recommend this clinic.
The vet and technicians are always really friendly and helpful with our cat.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Products are perhaps a bit pricey but most clinics seemingly are.
Admin and Dr.W were all very helpful and kind when working with my geriatric Labrador. They took more than enough time with us, and did thorough tests to ensure the best treatment. Am very thankful to them, it's clear they love what they do!
Puppy shots for the new dog. Good service. Friendly staff.
My six year old and I have asthma and are not able to tolerate the harsh chemicals in strong synthetic fragrances. I was disappointed to be told that the secretary at Acadia Vetrinary Clinic that air fresheners are used in the office, but even more disappointed in the lack of any offer to attempt to accomodate us so that our dog's health issues could be taken care of. I called the Lakeview Vet Clinic and the secretary asked to call me back after investigating options. Within minutes, she returned the call and offered to book us an appointment first thing in the morning, prior to other clients entering, and assured that the staff members would not wear fragranced products or use fragranced products in the office on the day of the current appointment and those in the future. I strongly recommend the clinic in Lakeview, especially for those with illnesses or disabilities that require understanding and/or accomodation.
This vet clinic is excellent. We had tried two other clinics before them and just weren't entirely satisfied until we came here. Their service is great! And you can really tell that they care about the animals. I'm sure we will be taking our two cats here for a long time.
We as Boxer Breeders cant say enough Good about the Veterinary team Dr Altina Wickstrom was out standing with the level of care my pregnant Boxers receive as well as the in the support that my husband I get with the phone calls to her in the middle of the night to get a kind word of support with no problem. Dr.Wickstrom cares first for the animal she has a heart of gold and pulls no punches when it comes to getting to the root of a problem we will be forever greatfull to her for her care and safe delivery of our ltter of 5 healthy Boxer puppies via Csection THANKS Dawn @ DuellingBoxers
Minor surgery and teeth cleaning went great for my dog. The staff are all friendly and professional. I'd happily recommend Dr. Dedden.
Dr.Wickstrom is the best vet she is my lovely dog’s vet since day 1 and my dog loves her so much he is always excited to see her and never scared to see her.???? and the staff is always friendly.
We wonderfully kind and gental with my little rat that we adopted.
We have taken all our pets to this location and had great service. The clinic is taking covid protocols with stride and cares about your pets care as well as their owners. I received a direct call from the vet with all recommendations for vaccines and treatment for my cat. She explained all my options and the benefits of all. She added a nice personal touch talking about how sweet our cats temperment was during the exam which was very kind. I always have a wonderful and personal treatment when we come here. Highly recommend.
Both Dr. Wickstrom and Dr. Bajwa have been very thorough and compassionate vets for us. Their manner and care with our pets have been exceptional. They are very informative and explanatory, letting us know what is happening with our pets. We have been super satisfied with their knowledge, technique and genuine concern at Acadia Vet Clinic. The veterinary technicians have been very supportive, gentle, and warm towards us. I strongly recommend Acadia Vet Clinic!
Just came in to get a lost cat scanned. Excellent help.
I love this vet. They have been seeing my dog as a patient since she was a puppy and they always do a wonderful job. The staff and doctors are always friendly and take such good care of her. I needed a certificate to take my dog to the US and since she had been in recently they just gave me the certificate instead of charging me again for an exam and they even emailed it to me. Thanks for all that you do for my dog!
Best vet in Saskatoon
The staff at Acadia Veterinary Clinic are so wonderfully friendly and accommodating. I was so impressed that the clinic was able to schedule me in for a last-minute health exam for my two dogs so they would be able to cross the border with us on our upcoming road-trip. Dr. Wickstrom was exceptionally knowledgeable, gentle, and patient with my dogs, which made me feel very comfortable and confident in her expertise! I am glad to have found such a caring and well-kept veterinary clinic and I look forward to taking my fur-babies here in the future.
This clinic is the best out there! All the team members at Acadia are amazing!!
They cared for my cat throughout it's life. Always very courteous to me, and gentile towards my pet. If your looking for a good vet clinic on the east side you should check them out.
I've been going here for almost a decade and i wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Knowledgeable and caring. Great veterinarian clinic! Oh and Dr Higgins was absolutely fantastic with our great dane who did NOT enjoy vet visits at all.
The resceptionist are super awesome and friendly, the atmosphere is great, we took our dog for his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd set of shots and also had him microchipped. We absolutely love Dr. Higgins, she’s so friendly, patient and understanding. The amount of concern for animals and the care they give is astonishing, constantly asking about how Wilson is doing, giving him treats and love! We always are asked if anything new has happened or if we have any of our own concerns we would like to discuss. The price is a bit high, compared to other vets, but the care they give is worth the extra money.
They treat my pet like there own.
Wow! We just got flowers delievered to our door from the vet we took Murphy our 7 month doodle to yesterday. We made a passing comment that Murphy was spending time at the farm while we go on our trip during our 1st anniversary. It was our first visit and they made a lasting impression. Thanks!
Fantastic place. Everyone is so nice, quick and everything always goes super well.
Hard to describe there excellent sensitivity during my difficult time. Thank you for everything.
Great vet. Would go again
Welcoming
A very pleasant veterinary clinic - we have been taking our dogs here for over a decade and have always found the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. I was very pleased to discover they are taking full precautions for the health and safety of staff and clients during the coronavirus pandemic.
They cared for my cat throughout it's life. Always very courteous to me, and gentile towards my pet. If your looking for a good vet clinic on the east side you should check them out.
Best vet in Saskatoon
The clinic has sadly gone done hill since Dr. Wickstrom retired. The vet we most recently worked with didn't seem to really know what she was doing and left the method of treatment up to us to determine. Not what I pay for that's for sure.
Provides wonderful, compassionate vet care for our exotics! It's hard to find a good rat vet in the city and I've found two at this clinic. They go the extra mile for your pet, and when one of our rats passed away, they sent us a sympathy card! We also appreciate the late hours on Tuesday--when you have a pet emergency, it's fantastic to have someone available and not have to pay an emergency fee to bring someone in!
My furry family members have been going to Acadia Vet Clinic since about 2008. The veterinarians and staff have always been wonderful. They were there for us during the care and then passing of our doggie Smootches, who helped us through some very challenging times. Now we have Chase and Cosette. Cosette went through ACL repair surgery about 6 weeks ago with Dr. Wickstrom. We have noticed that all of the staff recognize her and love her. Dr. Wickstrom has been most helpful in offering services and support through this stressful time and we met most of the staff through Cosette being quite the little s**t. She is feisty and stubborn and went through two casts and two bandages before Dr. Wickstrom and her staff had to be creative to keep her safe and healthy. She is making a good recovery since surgery. We are extremely satisfied with the clinic and highly recommend it.
Friendly staff, clean, no surprises on the bill
Only vet in town that treat small rodents :) Also good at treating other animals though
Very helpful and more than willing to break things down in detail and explain everything question you have! Would definitely recommend them to any of my friends who have a dog.
Very knowledgeable and caring staff. Highly recommend for all your veterinarian needs.
A quite decent vet clinic but closes early and isn't open on Sundays
Very happy with our experience here!
The Citys best choice fur pet care"!
Dr. Higgins was wonderful. They were very good to me and helped my dog with his previously unmanageable allergies immensely.
Excellent and caring service!
My elderly dog had taken a serious health turn and I'd called for a quote on how much it would cost to put her to sleep. As a single parent money was tight, so I borrowed this amount from a friend since I didn't want my dog to suffer and had heard good reviews about Acadia. My three kids and I brought the dog in and our service was fantastic under the circumstances, however when it came time to leave we were charged $100 more than the quoted price and as I was grieving, with three young grieving kids in tow, were in no shape to complain so I paid it. I felt extremely taken advantage of and eventually wrote to the clinic. They did apologize via email and offered to refund the difference, yet the refund has never materialized. They have my address, it's been well over a month now. It's been a horrible experience all around.
Dr Higgins was great! Spent more time with our puppy then most vets.
Receptionists were nice, everyone was pleasant to deal with until the fact of a misdiagnosed dog came up. He really didn't need to die this young. Another clinic is responsible for his death and won't refund money but this clinic made me feel like a horrible person for asking to put my dog down but not being able to afford their ridiculous price to come out and put him down, was I supposed to get help loading him in the back of the truck to haul him into the city to get injected and die? Is that more humane than letting a crippled dying dog lay in the grass listening to the birds chirp, me telling him "I love you buddy, I'll miss you, you were the best dog ever"and being put down? Me paying fuel expenses would have been nice if you actually were concerned. You said that putting an animal down is free of charge for previous clients because it's a difficult thing to have to put a loved pet down making you sound like you care but it's all about the money in the end. I understand this world revolves around money but that doesn't make it ok to act so concerned about my dog being put down asap but then make me the bad person if I don't have the money. He got much worse after the neck xrays you guys did, he even had a seizure after but the blame was placed on the tumeric I gave him which you guys told me would be a good natural anti inflammatory. But I guess not many can admit their mistakes, mine was trusting a person who is supposed to know everything about animals. The only thing vets are concerned about is making money apparently. I'm sure this review won't accomplish much but if you're reading this and you feel like the vet isn't actually addressing the proper issue don't be like me and assume they know it all and you should trust them. You may end up with a dead best friend like me and an email from the vet that'll make you feel like a sack of s#!t.
Super caring and thorough. Definitely would be back
I hardly ever write reviews, but I am so appreciative of the care our dog has received from Dr. Alison Higgins at Acadia Veterinary Clinic that I feel it is necessary to let others know about her. For nearly a year, Dr. Higgins has been our dog's sole veterinarian dealing with a number of very difficult to diagnose health issues. I have found Dr. Higgins to be very thorough and extremely pleasant to deal with. She has an open mind with a willingness to accommodate the use of vitamins and supplements in conjunction with conventional medications. Dr. Higgins has made herself available to discuss our dog's issues over the phone and via email correspondence to save us trips into the city as we live a hour from the clinic. She does her best to offer options for treatment when they are available to assist in keeping costs manageable and has provided us with a prescription on more than one occasion to take to a human pharmacy to save on medication costs for antibiotics, which for a 122 pound dog certainly add up! Her care and compassion is evident when I take our dog in for in-person appointments and I have never felt rushed through an appointment, and believe me - I ask a lot of questions!! I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Higgins, she has been truly outstanding in every way imaginable! In fact all of the staff at Acadia Veterinary Clinic have been very helpful, pleasant and wonderful to deal with. I wish that I could give them more than five stars! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Higgins or Acadia Veterinary Clinic to anybody who is in need of veterinary care for their pets.
The team at Acadia are fantastic to deal with and I trust my pets are in good hands with every visit. the staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend them to all my friends and family.
The vets here have always been really good. I own exotics, and having them checked out and treated here for any issues is cheaper than the U of S. Would definitely recommend them.
my extended family fur my kidz xo
This veterinary clinic is one of the few in Saskatoon that is equipped to treat exotic animals, such as (in my case) rats. All three of my pet rats received care from the Acadia Vet Clinic and for the most part were diagnosed accurately and treated accordingly. Their only shortfall has been their service prices. I brought one of my rats in for an examination in mid-April, specifically to treat his chronic wheezing. During this appointment, I inquired about a growing lump, located above his right hind leg. I was assured the lump did not look out of the ordinary, and he was treated for his chronic wheezing and potential Mycoplasma disease. A few weeks later, the lump had grown into what now appears to be an abscess or tumor. I attempted to schedule a follow up appointment to get it examined properly, but was informed that because I did not specify my concerns about a tumor when I scheduled the previous appointment it would have to be treated as a separate issue. Meaning I would have to pay the $88.00 examination fee again, in addition to the potential fees for having it removed. The attending veterinarian insisted that tumors can develop in as little time as two weeks. The administrative staff was very kind and did what they could to get me in contact with the manager, so I could ask if there was a possibility to instead charge me the price of a follow up exam. I was told she would return my phone call after lunch on Monday, May 13th but have yet to hear back from anyone. I have since been in contact with the WCVM Small Animal Hospital (Veterinary Medical Centre), located on campus at the U of S, and their examination fee is $65.00 which, in comparison to the Acadia Vet Clinic, is much more affordable.
I called to renew my dog's tick medication. I got a six month supply last spring, but because it has been 13 months since I last came in instead of the required 12, they want me to come in and pay for another exam before they renew. This is DURING A PANDEMIC WHEN WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE SOCIAL DISTANCING. I've been going there for 20 years, but I'll never darken their door again.
Love all of the staff at Acadia! Dr. Higgins was so compassionate when we had to unexpectedly say goodbye to our dog a few years ago. Our new pup just adores her (and we do too)!! The techs and receptionist are always so cheerful and helpful. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!
I've been taking my cats to Acadia since I got them. The staff and vets at Acadia have always been fantastic, I can't say enough good things about them. They care about the pets of their clients and it is beyond noticeable, always willing to answer any question and go out of their way to keep pets healthy. I really appreciate the level of care and compassion from everyone at Acadia Vet Clinic.
A very pleasant veterinary clinic - we have been taking our dogs here for over a decade and have always found the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. I was very pleased to discover they are taking full precautions for the health and safety of staff and clients during the coronavirus pandemic.
Always pleasant and happy to see even the most anxious of pups!
super friendly and accommodating staff!!! made us feel very welcome and treated my dog like he was their own. would 100% recommend :)
The best vet office we have been to in Saskatoon. I have two frenchies who absolutely love going for their vet appointments know. The staff is absolutely amazing. It is so apparent that they truly love our pets and take the best care of them. I am super impressed with them every time I go, I would highly recommend this clinic!
Would not take my critters any where else. Great and friendly staff.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Acadia Veterinary Clinic. My husband and I have two cats, RuPaw and Samuel L. Catson. Our two cats are not just pets, they are our furbabies. Our older cat Sam has required more medical support than our little one Ru. Sam has had crystals and recently had a lump removed under his chin. My husband and I always know that our fur babies are in good hands at Acadia. Dr. Higgins and Dr. Braaten ensure we fully understand what our furbabies need and answer my many questions. It has been reassuring knowing that they are keeping their doors open during COVID-19. I know that when I go drop off Sam or Ru for an appointment they are taking all precautions. As someone who works with special needs children who have weakened immune systems, it makes me feel comfortable knowing they are taking precautions. Sam requires special food, and we are so thankful we are still able to pick up this food. Thank you Dr. Higgins, Dr. Braaten and all the staff at Acadia! You all do a terrific job! RuPaw and Samuel L. Catson love you!
Dental surgery on my dog. Lot of work.
Very friendly staff. My ???? looks forward to his vet visits!
Great care given our dog
1 / 1 My cat had a weird bubble on her paw. I booked in for a biopsy. The vet calls me saying she thinks she can resolve the issue with a simple surgery and wants to change the plan. I trust her, exhausted from dealing with this for months. Biggest regret for mistrusting. 2 days later my cats' arm lost circulation and had to be amputated or she would die. Not sure if it was the bandage or a cut artery, results came back inconclusive. When I picked her up after the surgery no vet was there but a technician and I saw blood on the bandage. I guess it should have been clean when I picked her up, I trusted it was normal since the tech didn’t say. I was furious, devastated and wanted them to compensate for the major expensive surgery that’s coming. I was told the senior vet was on vacation, but that maybe she could come back to perform the amputation for free. That couldn’t happen though because my cat needed surgery fast, she was getting an infection, I could only give it 2 days and did. The UofS saved my cat. I felt the vet was being nice about the situation, but I didn’t need nice, I needed help financially for this, and I believe they should have paid for it. They reimbursed me the cost of the initial procedure out of “goodwill”, which took the appreciation out of their good deed. They refused to admit fault. I nearly threw up when I heard that my cat maybe could have thrown a clot as she could get a random clot at any time in her life. The vet followed up with me and took time to speak with me, and she offered a free follow up treatment and some medication. I did appreciate that, but this entire event has ruined a huge part of me and my cats’ lives, and I will never forget it, it was the worst thing that’s ever happened to me and my poor cat had to go through a lot of discomforts. She died 1 year ago at this time from liver disease gotten a few months after the initial surgery that went wrong and amputation.
Dr. Higgins is a caring vet, however she has seemingly used fear to manipulate us into running many unnecessary tests. She has taken any small issue and blown it out of proportion. She has told us our pets are about to die and proven herself wrong multiple times at our great expense. Dr. Higgin’s mind immediately runs to the worst possibilities and I understand those being taken into consideration however after nearly a thousand dollars of tests that have shown our pets to be healthy we are still being told to get more. We will be getting a second opinion.
Everyone was so kind & friendly. My dog loved them & was diagnosed quickly. Highly recommended.
Very professional staff
Staff are always friendly and helpful
Awesome Vet Dr. And wonderful staff ???????? very warm and welcoming ????????
great service very helpfull
We have been given a WRONG appointment date TWICE by their staff. We have a sick dog that really needs medical attention and so we wanted to have her seen as soon as possible. Staff said they booked her in for today so we came and they said THERE’S NO APPOINTMENT FOR HER AND WE HAVE TO GO HOME! This is not the first time this happened. So frustrating. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO BE MORE COMPETENT. This mishap is delaying medical care for our pets.
Amazing staff, super welcoming and just overall give off a great vibe. My animals aren't nervous to be there. And they are so great with kids if you need to bring them to your furbabies appointments.
Dr. Wickstrom saw us after shortly before closing. We adopted a rescue that had a horrible ear infection and burned back. The care she gave was nothing short of amazing. Her and the staff took care of him until 20 minutes after closing and even called in the morning to follow up. Very impressed and happy people care so much.
Great location, and wonderful staff!
I finally can bring my pets to a vet that I 100% trust my pet's best interest is their priority. The quality of care and empathy I have been shown is the best I have ever experienced. They have advanced technology and treatment options that other clinics do not offer, and they always explain tests or procedures in a way that I can understand. Dr. Higgins is so amazing and Dr.Braten and their newer veterinary are also so knowledgeable kind, I always know my pets are in the best of hands. All the of the staff are so helpful and friendly, you can really tell they love doing what they do. I just can't say enough good things about this clinic!!
Was in today for a vet check and eye exam on 2 critters. They always treat my pets gently so I know I can let them go in on their own, which is great with the covid precautions being taken. So glad they've been able to stay open and protect clients and staff with safety measures. My pets were well looked after and were happy and not stressed after their visit. Dr. Dedden phoned and explained what they checked, their findings, and went over the treatments required. Instructions were given by a tech as well to make sure I knew what to do. They offered contactless payment over the phone and an option to use a machine for debit or credit. They always do a great job and I'm so grateful I could book my pets in. Prices are reasonable and I'm happy to pay for solid service.
I am not yet a customer of Acadia Vet but after my positive experience on the phone and dealing with the staff I will be switching over when the time comes. Recently I purchased a puppy from a breeder out east andand apparently he has good genes and she would like to use him for breeding before I have him altered. Knowing absolutely nothing about canine breeding I was referred to Acadia as the "breeding clinic". I spoke to who I would assume to be the receptionist which gave me as much information as she could but informed me that the tech who is the breeding specialist would be the best person to talk to. She took my information down and assured that I would get a call back by the end of day. Surprisingly I did receive a call only a few hours later from Marlie (my current vet clinic NEVER returns calls). Even though I have no experience in this area and probably had many stupid questions she was very thorough and friendly. She walked me through the entire process of freezing my dogs sperm and have me all prices and options for my breeder. I truely appreciate the time spent on the phone even though I am not currently a customer. My experience has made me decide to eventually switch vet clinics when the time comes and I felt valued and that my time was worth something here
We have been clients of Acadia Vet Clinic for 35 years and I cannot say enough good things about the clinic. Yesterday was a tearful day as I had to say goodbye to a best friend. This wasn't the first time we had to say goodbye to one of our furry friends but it doesn't get any easier as they are like one of our children. Thank you to Dr. Hagen and staff for your kindness, professionalism and your dedication to your job and your clients and patients. Your caring support was greatly appreciated yesterday as it made our loss a little easier knowing others truly care. We are forever grateful.
They recently jacked the prices on the specific cat food I buy by nearly $10 a case. They've lost my business.
The reception was rather unfriendly. They did not greet nor said a single word as I came in and gave off a rather cold attitude. After that it turns out that since I was late my spot was taken by someone else and the same person who took my spot just arrived, making it there at the same time as me. It does not take much to say hello and it does not take much to call when someone is late to check on them or update. Wouldn't recommend.
Awesome staff. Very helpful.
I have been taking my animals (2 dogs and a cat) to Acadia for over a year now. Recently, they helped us diagnose kidney failure in my kitty. They were very helpful with the care for him until the end. Even during Covid, they were compassionate when I had to say goodbye and allowed me to come in with my infant son (I couldn't get a sitter). Unlike other vets, they didn't gouge us for euthanizing our pet. Thank you. Otherwise, if they aren't able to help us with other tests, they gladly will refer to the vet college etc., and we appreciate that as well. We will continue to bring our dogs to Acadia.
