These ladies are so incredibly caring, they went the extra mile for my cat smokey. I believe smokey ate a bee because his mouth was so swollen he couldnt close it and there was blood falling out, i was so scared i rushed him to a vet but they were booked up that day and couldnt do an emergency visit so i drove to pine grove and this vet immediately started treating smokey as soon as i walked in and they saw him. They gave him antihistamines and steroids to bring down the extreme swelling because it was getting hard for him to breathe. They were worried he had other injuries like maybe a broken jaw, so they wanted to do xrays but i didnt have enough money to add that onto the bill so i had to tell them no thanks. I was pretty sure it was a bad bee sting because he has a history of playing with bees and getting stung, just never on the inside his mouth. I think he bit his own tongue too. I appreciate that they want to check everything possible. I do not think they trick anyone into a huge vet bill, i think they are thorough and offer every option possible and you can decline anything you think is unnecessary. They were totally upfront about the prices of things, no surprises. You cant blame them for trying to stay in business and taking good care of your pet! I left smokey there for a few hours so they could observe if the swelling was going down and it slowly did. When i picked him up, they had fed him some watered down cat food since that was all he could swallow. They gave me the rest of the food and told me they decided to do xrays for their own curiousity because they just wanted to make sure his jaw was okay, but they werent charging me for it. I was shocked that they did that out of the kindness of their hearts and genuine concern for smokey. It warmed my heart how much they cared about him. I know that they are true animal lovers here and i promised to give them my business from now on! They deserve the business and smokey really liked them too! I thank them so much for helping in an emergency and being wonderful people.

I came here for my dogs shots. Friendly staff honestly. But the bad overweighs the bad in this situation... My only option of “vaccination” was the “combo shot mumbo jumbo” no one wanted to explain everything that was in it... ever since she has gotten her shots she has been acting nervous and scared. Not to mention the nice lady accidentally dropped the syringe on the ground for her follow up shots, it is now going on FOUR WEEKS and the swelling of the shot has NOT gone down, but is proceeding to get bigger. I will 100% switch veterinarian clinics, along with making a new appointment with someone else today. I will never come here again.

this is where I’ve taken my dog for a year now. She is in pain killers, called on Wednesday got answering service, Thursday was thanksgiving so no call, called Friday got answering service, called Saturday (sign in window and website day open Saturdays) got answering service, called just after 9am Monday and FINALLY got a person. Asked for my refill, said they would call back when it was ready. They called me at 4:43pm and said it’s ready closing shortly at 5pm. I got there at 4:59 already closed up, lights off & answering service on. For real, it took 8 hours to put 30 pills in a jar but you can’t stay open until 5pm? Finding a new vet.

I requested an appointment online on a Friday (they were closed) for the upcoming Monday. I called that Monday morning to confirm the appointment, which they said I had at 12:30. I show up at 12:30 and there is no appointment. I drove all the way there and traumatized my cat for nothing. Worst part, they didn't even try to squeeze me in. Just said oh well try again next time. What kind of place doesn't thoroughly check their appointment records when someone calls?

Had surgery on my dog, which worked out great and saved his life, but my problem was before the surgery, before we knew anything, we had x-rays to see what was wrong, the nurse said the x-rays looked great...i thought that ment we were in the clear, then the doctor came in to tell us the 2500 dollar surgery we needed for the dog. Didnt expect that and was very let down, the way the nurse worded it, it seemed like everything was doing good. So wait til you talk to the main doc before you get your heart broken

We recently brought a male and female dachshund into our family. (4yr old male, and 3 yr old female). They were well taken care of by a vet clinic in Ypsilanti and I wanted to find a reliable local clinic. After doing some research I decided that Lake Huron Vet Clinic was where I wanted to take them. I am so very glad I did. Ollie and Bee were given a very thorough examination and based on the prior information I provided were updated on needed vaccinations, had bloodwork analyzed, were given a thorough physical examination and we were given the results and recommendations they felt were needed. I feel confident in trusting the care of our babies to the experienced staff at Lake Huron Vet. I recommend them to anyone needing a place to take their "Fur Babies ".

I was appreciative they took my puppy in during the pandemic, however the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. The veterinarian would tell me my dog had an ear infection, and when I asked for ways to prevent it she just wanted me to buy prescription grade products from her office. I asked what can I do to PREVENT needing antibiotics? She wouldn't educate me. I have a basset so her ears are prone to these things. She told me if I can't afford my dog that maybe I shouldn't have one. I was like WOW. Couldn't believe it. Cost isn't an issue, but I want to PREVENT my dog from being in discomfort and needing antibiotics and being 400 dollared to death every visit! Plus my quote for a spay and chip was 700 bucks! Wth?

We have been taking our Golden Retriever to Lake Huron Veterinary Clinic since he was a puppy. I could not ask for a better staff and Veterinarian to provide advice and care to our dog. They have done a excellent job following the COVID regulations with the curb side drop off for appointments, I never have to wait for them to get him from the car and soon after a call from the Veterinarian to walk me thru the exam. Having a couple issues that have come up with his health, we always receive a phone call a couple several days after checking up on him. (I recently took my parents dog to their vet and it was a horrible experience, waited an hour in the exam room for the tech to come see their dog. This made me realize how excellent and appreciative I am for Lake Huron Veterinary Clinic). Our dog knows when he is going to the vet when we turn down the road and loves everyone there!

Great experience at Vet. LoverBoy did well and medicine they gave him for his ear infection has helped him so much. We adopted him 6/6/18 and 2 days ago he actually played like a puppy. He is 8. When i called for a apt for my cat, they got me in quickly, at the apt. (Curbside via phone) they listened to my concerns, answered all my questions, gave me options and price quotes! I didn’t even take my dog there and I still had an awful experience. My dog has been sick and unable to keep anything down, unfortunately I couldn’t get her in to see her vet that she goes to, and I didn’t want to wait. I called and explained what was going on, they said it would be a $75.00 emergency call, but they had to ask the vet if they could get my dog in, and said they would call me back after she got back from lunch. I waited for a little over an hour and no call back from this clinic, so I called back and they said the vet still isn’t back and they will call me back. Again I waited for another hour and I had to call back again, just for them to say “we can’t get her in to see the vet today” I asked did you even ask the vet they said “yes.” Really not impressed with the fact that they couldn’t call me back and I had to call three times before getting an answer, even after explaining what was going on with my dog. Now I’m taking her to the emergency vet. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

We brought our German Shepherd in Sunday the 26th to have him checked after he injured himself and was horrified by the assistant's ignorance and attitude. She was very rude and offered nothing but her opinions on how our dog should be in her eyes. We came here because they were the only one open. We have owned many pure breeds and know how to raise our animals. We even heard the staff talking bad about us and our dog thru the thin wall. The Dr. herself was somewhat professional, but I would not recommend this business unless you want to be told how to raise your own pet by an ignorant staff member. I own 2 local business's and that is unacceptable on every level. Our Shepherd only barks at those who give a bad vibe. We have been going to Veterinary Associates for years and not once has any of our pure breeds barked at any staff member there FYI.. Keep your opinions and ignorant remarks to yourself if you plan on staying in business.

They may be nice but would NOT work out a payment agreement. I feel their care is more for the money NOT the care for animals especially when the animals need urgent care. I was sent home even though I told them after my dog was seen I would be able to come back with the estimate they gave me. That proved to me their a joke and could careless about my dog and his ear infection. For that I don't even agree 1 star seriously pathetic.

We have an older chihuaua that has some jaw swelling (abcess tooth). We brought her in on a sunday. The clinic was supposed to be closed for business as they were having an open house that day. They still saw our dog and prescribed antibiotics for her. They were very sweet about it too. Me and my girlfriend are grateful for their help. They even gave us a tour and a gift bag from the open house!

Great and not so much. I needed my old lady PTS, and it was handled very well, with respect and loving care. For that I’d give five stars. So I took my other two dogs toget their shots. This was very different from my old Vet. They took each dog in turn “to the back”. I thought to give them their shots, but no, after they came back with the second dog a tech came in with what I would call a “repair estimate”. Included were things like wormer and flee control. Did they find worms? No, they just normally suggested that. Fleas? No, but the dog should have flea control. So I was asked to pick from the list. Then they took each dog back to give them their shots. The Vet never talked to me, just the tech. I had to ask about the puppy’s heart problem. No one even mentioned to me that he had a heart problem. The techs were wonderful, but it seemed a very odd way to treat the dogs. Made me feel like I was taking my car in for service then seeing a Vet. It cost me over $230 to get their shots and service estimate. I guess I’m just old fashion, I’m used to talking to the Vet, not getting a repair estimate and no report on the condition of my fur babies. Much worse! I got a new puppy. We have had him less then 24 hr. He is only 4 lbs. he has been throwing up and will not eat. I called at 11:00 am to see if I could get him in right away. I was told the vet was too busy to see him today! That could be a life or death issues for a dog that is 8 weeks old, and has been throwing up and refused to eat. But I’m sorry, the vet is too busy to see him today! I don’t know about you, but this is not the kind of vet I what to take care of my fur baby, if he lives that is.

I had an emergency with my dog over the weekend. I called everywhere from Port Huron to Auburn Hills to get him help. No one including the emergency hospitals had an opening without waiting in there parking lot for 5-9 hours. It was crazy. I had never used this vet but called them after calling my regular first Monday and was able to get him in. Im very grateful for what they tried to do. They tried to tell me my appointment wasn’t changed (after the time for my appointment had passed bc They sent me confirmations for my new appointment) I tried to tell them I had confirmation texts FROM THEM saying it was tomorrow. I also was pleasantly surprised when I received a follow up message the next day asking how my pup responded to his shots. And it was clear they read my responses. Three Stars Update: A valiant effort, but we were right. We ended up having to put him down later that week. ???? Unfortunately nobody would answer the phone At LHV on Thursday or Friday, so we contacted Richmond Vet instead, which was cheaper for euthanasia.

Could be better and am hoping they will continue after either the new older woman vet left. I had a stray, eye infections... he needed 6 doses of the med but she wanted me to bring kitty in EVERY week and charge for the med that works! It’s just that after a couple weeks, it comes back. I later learned that it needs to be treated for (6) weeks. I cannot cause that stress that its given kitty to car ride every week for (6) weeks! Why she wouldn’t give me the (6) weeks worth of med instead??? All about the $ for her.( trying to impress owner (my opinion) I run a business and would do nothing but satisfy the customer and show them the care they deserve for the $ they pay. I’m glad she’s gone but am still a bit leary.
