excellent exotic vet! It is hard to find a frog vet near Montreal. I was extremely worried when my baby Whites tree frog was having lots of diarrhea, loosing weight and not eating. I brought my frog in and the vet was extremely thorough. The vet spent an hour and a half looking her over. I appreciate that they weren't pushing more expensive treatments from the first visit but rather wanted to eliminate issues through less invasive tests. We did a fecal test and I got antibiotics for both of my frogs even though they only examined one. This was excellent service because essentially they treated 2 frogs for the price of 1. Very caring people My frog would have died if it wasn't for them. Even though I live an hour away and there are closer reptile vets to my home, I will be bringing all my reptiles and frogs to Anima Plus

We dropped her off in the morning and she was scheduled to stay overnight to monitor her condition following the operation. (She had had a check-up elsewhere and was doing very, very well that morning. She was in a cheerful mood, just like every morning.) We were called at noon to tell us that she was paralyzed in her lower limbs following sterilization… They x-rayed her after the operation which reportedly revealed a broken back and permanent paralysis. Several hypotheses were made by the vet regarding the causes of this paralysis… As our Sunny was doing very well the morning of his operation and was jumping as usual, it was a huge shock for us! We were told that in cases like this, to avoid complications, euthanasia was suggested. We therefore made the decision to euthanize her to prevent her from suffering since she only moved the two small front legs. We returned home with an empty cage…. The experience was heartbreaking. I would have liked to give it five stars and say I recommend the place, but the truth is, we bitterly regret making the decision to sterilize her there. We still give this clinic two stars since the vet was very emphatic and respectful and we were refunded the deposit related to sterilization costs. (Original) Nous avons emmené notre lapine Sunny âgée d’un an pour se faire stériliser dans cette clinique puisque nous avons lu des avis positifs concernant les stérilisations de lapins. Nous l’avons déposée le matin et elle devait y passer la nuit pour surveiller son état à la suite de l’opération. (Elle avait déjà eu un bilan de santé ailleurs et se portait très très bien le matin même. Elle était d’humeur enjouée, comme à tous les matins.) On nous a appelé à midi pour nous annoncer qu’elle était, à la suite de la stérilisation, paralysée des membres inférieurs… Ils lui ont passé une radio après l’opération qui aurait révélé une fracture au dos et une paralysie permanente. Plusieurs hypothèses ont été émises par le vétérinaire concernant les causes de cette paralysie… Comme notre Sunny allait très bien le matin de son opération et sautait comme d’habitude, ce fut un énorme choc pour nous! On nous a dit que dans des cas comme ça, pour éviter les complications, l’euthanasie était suggérée. Nous avons donc pris la décision de l’euthanasier pour lui éviter de souffrir puisque elle ne bougeait plus que les deux petites pattes avant. Nous sommes rentrés avec une cage vide à la maison…. L’expérience a été bouleversante. J’aurais bien aimé donner cinq étoiles et dire que je recommande l’endroit, mais la vérité est que nous regrettons amèrement d’avoir pris la décision de la stériliser là. Nous mettons tout de même deux étoiles à cette clinique puisque le vétérinaire était très emphatique et respectueux et on nous a remboursé le dépôt lié aux frais de stérilisation.

J'ai toujours reçu un excellent service, c'est D. Guillemette qui soignait mes lapines à chaque fois. Une période où mes deux lapines étaient extrêmement malades (abcès dentaire), j'ai du venir pendant plusieurs mois tous les vendredis pour vider les glandes lacrymale, on me chargeait un montant très raisonnable! Vous avez toujours su en prendre soin, jusqu'à leur dernier jour. Je ne me suis jamais senti "Coupable" ni "sous pression" des choix que je prenais pour mes lapines par rapport aux traitement, car D. Guillemette était très compréhensive. La raison du 4 étoiles, c'est que lorsque j'ai dû faire euthanasier l'une des deux, nous avons dû nous rendre au sous sol (aucune salle n'étaient dispo et je n'ai aucun problème avec ca). Mais quand tout était terminé, je suis monté en haut toute en larme et la réceptionniste à dit au Docteur "Est-ce qu'on met le lapin dans un sac orange?". J'ai trouvé ça déplacé et imaginer mon lapin mort dans un sac m'a fait encore plus de peine. Cette réceptionniste semble ne plus travailler pour vous de toute façon. Je reviendrai sans hésiter à votre clinique, j'ai une lapine présentement et elle aura son premier examen de routine chez vous, ainsi que sa stérilisation.

Dr st Pierre is the most kind hearted vet we have ever been to. It is plain to see that she genuinely wants you and your animal to feel at ease. She has taken care of both our dogs, performed surgery on one, and they are both in tip top shape. As for the establishment, the prices are fair, usually slightly lower than most other places. The service is fast, you never wait long for an appointment like in the human healthcare system. They also don't try to make you buy the most expensive food/medication/product. All of the vets we've seen here look for the most affordable option that will work. Hands down the best vet I've been to an I've been to a lot. We live 45 minutes away but make the trip anyways. Highly recommended.

Positive first experience with my puppy. Staff was friendly (reception, assistant and veterinary). They have a clean and nice installation. At the time I went, it wasn't crowded and felt comfortable. Although it was a LOT of information the veterinary (Michele St Pierre) took her time and explained it thoroughly to me. It was clear they have a staff that have experience on what they do and love the animals. Ils voulaient même avoir des photos pour un suivi (ce n'est même pas eux qu'ils l'ont opérée!) 4 jours plus tard, infection et antibiotiques ont été prescrit... Animovet m'ont jamais fait de suivi post-opératoire, m'ont jamais demandé de photos quand le point a lâché. Ils voulaient que mon argent pour lui retirer le deuxième point restant. Je les ai appelé pour avoir une compensation financière du à leur manque de professionnalisme, ce qui m'a été refusé. Selon eux, c'est à moi de les appeler pour faire le suivi si quelque chose n'allait pas. (Alors, pourquoi les autres vétérinaires qu'ils l'ont même pas opéré en ont fait un? Étrange...) N'ALLEZ JAMAIS LÀ-BAS!!! Tellement de gens dans mon entourage ont eu une mauvaise expérience. Des oiseaux sont décédés après avoir été là. Ils donnent des antibiotiques à tous les animaux pour des raisons différentes, mais c'est les memes antibiotiques pour tout le monde.

After 10 years living in Canada has been the best Vet. Madjid Boussouira of all times, we met him 4 year ago. One of my dogs was operated for bladder stones on 2015 and my other dog had some lumps in the leg that also had been removed on 2016.The surgeries were great, great price, great service. Si ont paie pour une consultation et une radiographie, le vétérinaire doit avoir une bonne idée des chances de réussite, si les chances sont plus ou moins bonnes, faudrait nous le dire...J'ai eu beaucoup d'animaux de tous genres dans ma vie, j'ai consommé beaucoup de soins vétérinaires pour eux et je trouve que c'est souvent comme ça...ça n'a pas fait exception ici. Mon oiseau n'était pas agonisant, j'aurais préféré lui laisser vivre ce qui lui restait pendant qu'il était encore en forme, plutôt que de payer près de 500$ pour mettre fin à ses jours, et surtout je trouve décevant que personne ne m'a appelé après...considérant que l’œuf n'était pas retiré.

I have been going to this clinic for almost 20 years. The employees are wonderful, but on the management / owner side, let's say that things have changed a lot over the years. On vous charges toutes les visites (en vous enlevant un maigre 10$ à chaque fois) même si le problème initial de la première visite est toujours présent. Ils vous sortent comme excuse : ceci est une visite de contrôle (65$) ou bien, celle ci est pour son suivi (55$) et ainsi de suite. Vous demander au propriétaire de vous contacter pour discuter du rationnelle derrière chaque visite payante, mais on ne vous rappel pas en prétextant un problème de ligne téléphonique. Je vais à cette clinique depuis presque 20 ans. Les employés sont merveilleux, mais côté gestion / proprio, mettons que ça bien changé depuis le temps. Mettons qu’ils ont à cœur l’argent dans votre portefeuille ++++.

La réponse de la description de ma lapine et de la vidéo fut qu'on ne pouvait pouvait pas évaluer grand chose et qu'une réévaluation devrait été faite et qu'elle allait le noter au dossier. Le fait qu'elle dise qu'elle allait le noter au dossier, j'ai trouvé cela très étrange, ça sonne comme si on avait pas vraiment demander l'avis des experts. Aussi, en regardant sur internet, lorsque je note ses symptômes, ça parle d'urgence. J'avais déjà mon rendez vous qui s'en venait dans 3-5 jours, mais on m'a pas dit de l'amener en urgence, ce qui aurait pu peut être changer la donne. Bref, bien déçu de la directrice qui ne retourne pas un appel d'une cliente qui voulait être sûre qu'on se comprenne sans s'envoyer plusieurs messages pas précis pour en terminer pour de bon.

Cet acceuil des plus misérables me laissera hors de tout doute une mauvaise image persistante de cet endroit. Alors que je lui exprime mon désarroi, elle finit par proposer de faire entrer notre chaton le temps qu'une salle se libère. Je veux bien croire, covid oblige, mais quand ta clinique en vient à agir de la sorte, ya des questions qui doivent se poser... Faire entrer l'animal aurait du être plus prioritaire que les salutations/bienvenus formels que nous n'avons pas même pas reçus. Peut-être qu'en temps normal cette clinique est ok, mais ces temps-ci, vous seriez mieux de l'éviter. Edit: J'ajoute une étoile car ma copine m'a dit que la rencontre etait bien. Pour ma part, je n'y retournerai jamais. Je constate que plusieurs avis mentionnent la mauvaise attitude de la réceptionniste, vous devriez peut-être reconsidérer sa présence à l'accueil.
