The vets and staff at Root River vet center are terrific! We always get personalized treatment- they know us and our dogs by name when we call or come in. Dr. LeAnne did a tremendous job ,repairing a torn ACL in our little dog's hind leg. She (the dog, not Dr. LeAnne) now runs around good as new. ;-) Ed

After losing our 18-year-old cat over a year ago, we had not felt ready to get another pet. In September, a stray kitten appeared in our back yard, hiding under our garden cart. After making sure the kitten didn't belong to anyone, we called Root River Veterinary Center for some initial advice to help calm the frightened kitten and adopted her. After a few weeks, we took her there for her first appointment. The doctors and staff were very quick but thorough in their evaluation so that Pippa was not too frightened. I have never had anything but great service at Root River Veterinary Center. Update: We recently had another appointment for Pippa. She is now over a year old. This appointment could not have gone better. Because Pippa was a feral kitten and has grown up during the pandemic, she is not used to any people other than us and is extremely shy of strangers. I was very nervous about how she might respond. Root River vet staff were wonderful with her, keeping things quiet, draping something over her head so she would feel safe, moving slowly so she would not be startled, and making the appointment as short as possible. It went extremely well, and I was greatly relieved that she did not seem afraid. I'm very pleased!

Root River Veterinary Clinic is one of the most affordable clinics I have found that has an exotics specialist. I have rabbits and I have gotten one spaying and two neutering here for exceptionally reasonable prices, and with kind and thoughtful care. All three surgeries went very well and the vet gave detailed after care instructions and an anti-inflammatory pain reliever for the buns. All three are healthy and healed up and happy.

I just took my service dog in for a round of vaccinations and a nail trim. Even with Covid-19 going on they were wonderful. They answered all my question, gave me an honest estimate before the appointment of the costs, costs were very reasonable unlike some other vets we have seen in the past, and most importantly my dog wen in with a wagging tail and came out with one as well.

Never going back here again. I had a 6 year old English bulldog that was pregnant and when I had her checked they said if she went into labor within the next couple days she would be fine and she would be able to pass the puppies with no issues. Less then 36 hours later she went into labor and died trying to deliver the puppies. When i was calling trying to get her in the late night vet said if she is still having issues to bring her in on the morning. When i explained that she was a English bulldog and the chance of her having them on her own was slim to none they said they are the same as any other dog that she would be fine. Well 1 very loved family pet and 9 puppies later they were all dead. When I called and told them she stopped breathing not even a hour later I said tell me how to get the puppies out. I got the response you dont want to do that your not licensed. I dont care about a dang license i care about innocent puppies and trying to save them. Needless to say none of them made it. 10 lives gone in a matter of minutes because they dont know how to handle the bread of dog they are dealing with. $400 later and a bunch of sorry for your losses does not bring my baby back or her babies because of the incompetence of these people. I will never ever send anyone I know as long as I live to this place.

Terrible absolute worst in semn we took our English bulldog in on Thursday they performed a x-ray to confirm she was pregnant with 6 yes 6 puppies we asked about doing a c section being it is common practice and Dr Mann said no come back in a week if she doesn't have them the next night which was Friday night she died along with 9 yes 9 puppies and all they say now is oh well

Brought my new puppy in for her first visit. They were very informative with things I should do and when to get necessary testing and procedures done. Super helpful with any questions I had about products. We recently got her spayed. They called when they were done to let me know how she did and to inform me of an infection she had. I was so thankful they kept me updated and took care of her so well. She loves going there too as they have yummy treats. :)
