I have been coming to Apache Animal Hospital for almost 15 years with at least 8 different pets over the years (1 dog and the rest cats.) I could go to closer vets, and there could be cheaper vets. But I'm not checking prices; I love this clinic and the staff and vets are incredibly understanding and patient. They help you figure out priorities if you cannot financially go for the whole recommended list of services. They help you when emergencies arise and when you have to make end-of-life decisions. And they are there to celebrate during the healthy times, which are no doubt more frequent when our pets get such stellar care -Thank you Apache Animal Clinic!

For the past two decades I have brought the menagerie of beasts who call me butler to this clinic. They have been treated well with kindness and compassion. In the instances in which urgency was required, they proceeded with alacrity and skill. If you want to be miserly with your beasts health I suppose I should mention that their prices were fair and I have never been charged more than what I felt was appropriate. For context I had a dog eat a whole package of razor blades (she survived). They took care of her and I didn't have to take out a second mortgage. If you want consistent, skillful, and rational care of your beast please bring them here.

Apache has been so helpful! A week after being spayed, my dog began peeing blood. I panicked and just jumped in my car to go to Apache. They saw me immediately, which was incredibly kind. They figured out that she had a UTI, and prescribed antibiotics. My pup is back in action now. It was so great to have a very responsive vet, one that clearly cared greatly about my dog's health! Thanks Apache!

I brought my dog in after vomiting for 72 hours and then having bloody diarrhea, she was acting mopey but not lethargic. We saw Dr. Cleary and what I really liked about this vet is that she listened to me, gave me choices for care and also a price quote on avenues of treatment. Going big guns testing and treatment would cost $1000.00, however we chose conservative treatment for $300.00. Our dog stayed there for 5 hours, was given an injection of antiemetic and 1 liter of subcutaneous fluids. She was sent home with understandable instructions on treating her gastroenteritis, as well as a case of bland canned dog food. She had some tremors, but recovered nicely. Thank you Dr. Cleary for healing my Violet.

I love my boys more than anything. They have taken great care of me, so I do my best to take great care of them. 1 way I do that is by bringing them to Apache Animal Hospital to see Dr. Kai Dahlin and Aimee. Dr. Kai and the whole team make me feel so comfortable. I know my boys are receiving top of the line medical care. But they are also being doted on and loved on. During our last visit Aimee was so sweet to my Rascal who was very nervous. She wrapped him up in a towel and I knew he was being comforted just like I would do. Thanks Aimee! At Apache Animal Hospital, the staff is thoughtful and caring, kind and informative. After our appt Dr Kai sat with us and talked about everything from cats to life and it gave us an oppurtunity to get to know him and the lovely woman up front (should've asked her name) better. I know my boys are in the best hands. Thanks for all that all of you do.

I almost never go 5 stars, but I couldn't think of what they could have done better, so here you go! Friendly staff, separated waiting room with additional isolated exam rooms, clean environment, professional doctors dedicated to treating your sick animal. They even followed up with us a couple days later to see how our animal was doing. Can do rushes on lab testing for same day results. Plus we got a window sticker that says in event of fire, save my pet. Large parking lot too. I seriously don't know how you could have a better vets office.

I have been taking my dogs to Apache since 1996. From routine exams, neutering, emergency stitches, epilepsy treatment, kidney failure management, and finally euthenasia the staff has been wonderful, caring, compassionate and open. The current staff and vets are really wonderful with my Yorkie, and work hard to make it a fear-free experience for him. Nice, clean, comfortable waiting area. I do not feel like they guilt you into treatments, but actually give you alternatives based on your budget. It may not be the least expensive pet clinic in the cities, but if you want quality, compassionate care for your fur baby, and trustworthy Drs and staff, Apache Animal Hospital delivers.

We continue to use Apache even though we no longer live very close to them because they've been incredible with our 2 cats and 2 dogs. When we got our first dog he had stomach issues A LOT and they helped us with dealing with his symptoms and to figure out the cause. I was a returning customer but Rocky was new so the receptionist / billing person gave me a discount because Rocky was a new customer . It was nice that she brought that up!

My mother took her Scottish terrier to Apache for the duration of her life and absolutely loved it. the staff was amazing. My pit bull tore his CCL about two years ago and i trusted them so i figured they would be the best at the surgery to repair his leg. First off on the day of his surgery the traveling surgeon was over 1hr late to the appointment. We go to pick him up and the vet tech who helped us did not know a single answer to our questions. as we put him in our vehicle we noticed that he has dried feces all over his lower body including on his incision. I called the vet and all i got was a sorry, that shouldn't have happened. now a year later we are dealing with a Staph infection right next to the scar from his surgery, While i cant say it was from the negligence of my dog at Apache i can guess thats where it is from. I would never recommend Apache. I feel so bad my animal had to sit in his own eliminations for who knows how long. If you take your animal there, consider yourself warned.

I have never felt like my pups were in better hands than at Apache. The staff and Dr Cleary were so kind, patient and helpful. We got estimates on all services before they were performed. They are prompt and quick at responding. They really made me feel like they cared about my fur kids like they were their own. I even loved their invoice printer paper with little animals on it like it was for real kids! I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone!

Our previous vet put a note in on our rottie's file as aggressive making visits awkward. A friend suggested Apache and wasn't too far away. I have been very impressed with their care. Yes, my rottie has his guard dog instincts but he is just a big baby and loves everyone. The vets and the docs knew how to get the job done and worked with me to handle Zeus. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was floored by my first experience at Apache! It was night and day compared to vet clinics I took my previous cat to. I brought my two new kittens here because I heard it was a Cat Friendly Practice, and all of the staff have Fear Free training. Staff brought me and the kittens directly into an exam room so there was no waiting in the foyer with other pets. The staff were all very affectionate and gentle with my kittens. They also spent plenty of time answering all of my questions. A Feliway pheromone dispenser was plugged into the exam room and my kittens were given treats and toys. Staff distracted my kittens with tasty canned food while Dr. Ross gave them their immunization shots. My kittens played, purred, explored, and even fell asleep at one point during the appointment. I'm grateful to have found providers who genuinely love my kittens and take the time to create a safe experience for them!

I have been going to Apache animal hospital for 13 years. They had taken care of all my dogs needs. Especially Dr Cleary. When it was time to make the decision to have my Jessie girl cross the rainbow bridge. I used MN pets they came to my house and they were so compassionate. Long story short after the cremation they delivered my dogs ashes back to Apache( dogs usual clinic) I waited in the car for the gal (Kiki) to deliver the bag. She handed me the bag and said absolutely nothing. No condolences, sorry to hear about Jessie. UNBELIEVABLE nothing after 13 years nothing. Not even a sympathy card. What a very uncaring place I had been using. I will be spreading the word of my experience.

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE! They helped me keep my service dog when no one else would. THEY HAVE A BIG HEART FOR ANIMALS; something you don't always find in a Veterinarian! They "fostered" my dog while I looked for a new place for us. My dog, Cashmere, was fostered by the Clinic Manager's family. Again, something a Veterinarian nor Animal Hospital employee would not normally take on. They took excellent care of Cashmere and I did not have to worry about him being kenneled via boarding. I knew Cashmere was happy and well taken care, so it let me stay focused on finding our new place. Cashmere looked healthy and gorgeous when I picked him up - what a great place to groom your pet! I just wish they were closer, so I could bring him there to be groomed. What more can I say when it comes to helping someone keep her only "family"? I'm so ever grateful to them. Barbara Burbank

We started going to Apache last summer after we moved to the neighborhood and adopted our dog. They were very helpful when our dog injured her leg and later, when she had a bout of worms. It's nice that they provide estimates before performing services or giving products. Typically they suggest more than services than I find necessary but are never pushy when I decline something. Dr. Travis and all the staff I've interacted with have been wonderful.

I love this place! We have been coming to Apache Animal Hospital for over 3 years. We have two senior cats with all kinds of issues, but with the help of these professionals we have been able to keep my furry loves healthy and alive. The front desk ladies are very polite and kind and always greet your right away with a smile. It always makes me feel like I am seeing family when I arrive; they give you such a warm welcome. The nurses are all very professional, gentle and caring, they will always let you know if the doctor is running late and apologies multiple times if things are a little delayed. Last time they were running a little late because of the other patient and as a little bonus they offered to trim my cat's nails- that was so nice of them! BUT all this said, the main reason I keep coming back to this place is Dr Dahlin. He's the BEST Vet I have ever worked with: so caring, so attentive. He spends time with you and your pet, he talks to you about all kinds of options and will make sure you have a good plan that you're comfortable with. I feel like he truly cares about you and your pets. I wish I had him as MY doctor! :) Anyways, Highly recommend this place to anyone.

One of our cats got sick out of the blue and we were able to get an appointment first thing the next morning. We were able to be taken right to the room (cat only I believe) when we got there - no waiting in the waiting room - and were seen promptly. Both the vet tech and the vet himself took time to acquaint themselves with our cat before handling him. They gave us a cost estimate for the care plan without us even having to ask (I hate asking, it always makes it seem like I care more about money than my animals) and didn't force us to do anything we didn't want to. They even gave us a discount on my cat's annual checkup that we will do down the road a bit. Luckily the medication they gave my cat seemed to do the trick and he was back to acting himself almost immediately once we got home. Could not have asked for a better experience and we will definitely be going back here, especially since they are just right around the corner. Apache was on the pricier end when I called around about a year ago to get price estimates for annual check ups and vaccinations, but in my experience with vets you truly get what you pay for and I'm ok with paying a little extra to make sure my pets have the best experience and treatment.

Apache is the only vet near where I live that sees pocket pets. Everyone was fantastic when I brought in my three rats to have their breathing checked. What really touched me, though, was how sympathetic and empathetic everyone was when it was discovered that one of my rats had died in the carrier (late stage pneumonia, it looks like). Thank you all very much for the quality of care for my boys, and your support in this trying time. You're wonderful.

This clinic made a mistake during a yearly exam where they omitted tests that were supposed to happen, but I thought they did them. They admitted their mistake but refuse to work with me to get the tests done now without me shelling out more money (the issue being me having to pay more money for something I thought I'd already paid for). Now I cannot get my dog's prescription refilled because they won't help with any of the costs of the test that THEY forgot to do. Also, they recommended a dental cleaning for hundreds when the tarter got cleaned up with a water additive and dental chews; aka jumping to the most expensive fix before any other reasonable treatment. My perception of this place is simply unethical which is ironic because they're supposed to be there to help.

My very first dog Teddy is now 6 , Dr. Creary suggested for Dental Care and tiny cyst removal on his left hip. I thought about and decide to go ahead. Dr.Dahlin was very kind and sincere, explain what Teddy's teeth needs be done and cost, also Julie called next day for follow up his condition and called again 2nd day. I was very impressed their concern for Teddy. Yes, it's was the time for Teddy to get done complete examine for whole his mouth and Teeth, now his Teeth are very clean and white, no more bad breath!!!!

I have never been to a more compassionate animal hospital than Apache Animal Hospital. Their kindness and consideration went above and beyond the care that most veterinary clinics offer. When my sweet kitty began to exhibit symptoms distressingly similar to Feline Infectious Peritonitis, the fatal illness that had taken the life of my previous darling cat, I took Comrade to Apache hoping against hope that the vet would be able to diagnose a different illness...anything else. I was anxious and upset going in to the office, but the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. They put me and my kitty at ease; though she'd been lethargic and had no appetite, the cat room was so comfortable and the staff so gentle that she explored without distress. Dr. Cleary was very thorough in her examination, and very gentle with Comrade. Not only did she discuss every test she thought best to perform, she also showed us weight charts for cats, walked us through the x-rays she took of Comrade, and explained what each test was for and why. She also printed out the estimated cost for each test and/or treatment because money is an unfortunate but real factor in making decisions. We felt very reassured by the entire process and were able to make informed decisions regarding Comrade's care. It was devastating to me when, a few days later, Dr. Cleary called to confirm as best she could my worst suspicions; Comrade did indeed most likely have FIP. Dr. Cleary was incredibly sympathetic and offered resources for me to learn more about the disease, as well as several options for supportive care for my sweet baby cat. Throughout the next short weeks as my Comrade continued to lose weight, and her fight against FIP, I made several calls to Apache Animal Hospital with questions regarding information I'd found online. Most times Kiki was the person to answer the phone, first thing in the morning when the hospital opened, and patiently answer my questions. Kiki's compassion was such a comfort during this horrible time. One day when I had what seemed like endless questions, she even popped her head in to where Dr. Cleary was prepping for surgery to get answers to my questions in a timely manner, so I wouldn't have to wait until the end of the day. When my Comrade was too ill to go on, we went to Apache for the euthanisia process. I can't describe the kind and loving care that my husband, my baby cat, and I received as we went through the horribly sad process of saying goodbye. The staff dealt with the payment process before everything else so we could grieve in peace after the procedure. The vet was very gentle and caring, and we were able to put quiet music on as we said goodbye to our dear girl. A few days later, I received Comrade's paw prints and a beautiful sympathy card from Apache Animal Hospital. I won't take my other pets to any veterinary clinic but Apache. They are honest, up-front, thorough, and they truly care about their clients...both human and animal alike. You and your pet will be in very good hands at Apache Animal Hospital.

Can never get a hold of them when I need my dogs vaccinations sent to our doggy daycare. I once had to wait a week before the daycare could even get a hold of someone there which was a huge inconvenience as we couldn’t go in until the vaccinations were up to date in our system. Would not recommend if you also go to a boarding or daycare facility.

My experience with Apache has been nothing but stellar. From the front desk ladies to the vet techs to the vets themselves, everyone is kind, caring, and clearly wants the best for my animals. The vet techs are an amazing group who obviously love animals. The vets are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and are sure to spend however much time it takes for you to understand the problem, the options, and the recommended course of action. My cat recently had a bad reaction to some new medication. I called Apache and they got me in that day, just a couple hours after I called! The vets have made follow-up calls to make sure my girls are doing well, something I've never had other vets do before. We've always had a positive experience with this vet. Some of our neighbors on nextdoor have complained about their prices, but they are very transparent and upfront about all costs. The last time I was in, they even gave me options for having labs sent out (cheaper) versus having them done in-house (faster). In this day and age getting more than you pay for never happens. I have never been so blown away by the quality of work. I took my 2 goldens here, who at the ages of 5 and 7 had never been "groomed" before, and when I picked them up they looked perfect. The amount of hair that was gone was amazing. The furminator treatment is well worth the money... Not just for me but my boys seem so much happier and energetic without all the dead hair on them. One of my boys is even a bit skiddish, normally resulting in him saulking around for 2 days after any type of similar experience, he was completely normal....suggesting he even enjoyed it! You guys have earned a customer to life...well, two!

Our dog had a mysterious bump in her armpit and they just put her on antibiotics and steroids and have no explanation of what it could be. Well it’s back again a couple weeks later. We recently moved to the area, and needed a new vet clinic for our elderly cat. I had planned to "shop around" later this month, as her vaccinations were due. However, she started showing signs of pain & discomfort today, I called around, and the only place that could get me in immediately was Apache Animal Hospital. The staff was wonderful. This is not my regular vet. I woke up early on a Saturday morning to four piles of bloody vomit/diarrhea in my house. My regular vet didn't open until 9 but I found that Apache opened at 8. I called to see if there was a possibility that I could get my dog in right away in the morning, and the lady on the phone (she told me her name was Kiki when she answered the phone) told me she didn't want to give me an appointment "just in case one of the regular clients needed to get in" on a Saturday. It wasn't until I started crying (because I was concerned about the wellbeing of my dog and because I was upset that she tried to blow me off the way she did) that allowed me to schedule their last appointment of the day. Clearly this clinic isn't interested in gaining new clients or patience at their clinic.

My cat was having some pre diabetic issues and Dr Travis helped to understand and control my cats diet without pushing a bunch of speciality food or diets. He was incredibly patient with all of our questions and recommended at home tests to monitor our kitty instead of continually bringing him for visits, which is more convenient and cheaper! When I called a week after our visit with more concerns about my cat’s eating habits, Kiki spoke to me on the phone for well over 30 minutes and checked in with another vet to make sure everything was okay and to see if we should be seen. I get my long haired cat shaved here. Prices are reasonable/industry norm, but they *do* require certain shots, in addition to the grooming fees, which makes the semi-annual event rather pricey. The shots are required regardless of past-history, regardless of whether the cat *ever* goes outside, etc. But as far as the grooming service, they are conveniently located near NE Mpls, and take good care of my animal inside of clean facilities. So; that's cool.

My husband Jim and I have been coming to Apache Animal Hospital with all of our pets for the past 30 years. We have found nothing but professionalism,compassion and friendliness from all staff. From the receptionists to the nurses to the doctors and to the surgeons. On February 22 of this year our dog Josie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of her right front leg. This was diagnosed by a vet up north by our Lakehome. This vet had a dog of his own who had the same cancer as Josie he chose to amputate however his dog did not do well and he regretted doing the surgery. Because of this we were considering euthanizing not wanting our Josie to suffer I wanted another opinion so I called our regular vet at Apache. I initially spoke with Kiki and she suggested finding a website or a Facebook group that dealt with cancer in dogs or dogs who have had an amputation. Thanks to her suggestion I found TRIPAWS- three legged dogs. I asked people for advice on what to do euthanize or amputate and I received over 100 stories of dogs who have had their dogs leg amputated and are living a happy life. Because of Kiki‘s suggestion and finding this group TRIPAWS our family decided to go with the amputation. We scheduled her surgery with the amazing Dr Rose. The surgery was a great success and I still can’t believe there was no bruising. My dog was up and chasing her favorite tennis ball five days after having her leg removed. Dr. Travis just recently removed Josie’s stitches. She did have a very minor setback due to licking her incision and had to get the cone of shame and a bandage for a couple days but the infection is gone now and she’s healed up nicely. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped take care of our Josie and all of our other pets over the years. All of your staff are top notch in our book. Thanks from my family!!!

This woman is an amazing vet-- simply the best. 8 years ago we lost Jax and haven't been able to have a pup since. Instead of keeping us at the clinic with Jax and racking up costs--lining their pockets--she referred us to the U. They were unable to Jax as well. She was amazing then and is just as wonderful now! Dear Apache Animal Clinic. My name is Spike Jones and I am a big (mostly) black cat. I came in for my first visit a few weeks ago and I liked the people very much, as the vet took good care of me and everyone else wanted to pet me. I only have one suggestion for a possible improvement on my visit: when I was in the exam room with my humans waiting for the vet, there was a lot of noise in the next room, loud voices and doors shutting rather loudly and I got a little scared and had to hide under a chair. My wife and I got our first dog last summer, so it was a big decision to figure out which vet to take him to. We had driven by Apache Animal Hospital many times, as we lived in the area for several years. After reading positive online reviews, we decided to take him there for his first check up. The online reviews were right on - Apache is awesome! We were under the care of Dr. Cleary and she treated us and our dog so well. During a recent visit to get shots, she discovered that he had a broken tooth. When we took him in for surgery they provided exceptional care before, during, and after the surgery. They provide detailed instructions on what to do after the surgery and checked in with us the next few days to see how he was doing. He had some swelling the next day which my wife was concerned about, so she called at 8:15 in the morning. They had him in by 9:00 - amazing! I would highly recommend Apache Animal Hospital for anyone who has a pet that they love.

I love this vet! They're always able to get me in the same day or the next (and they also take emergency appointments if necessary, for a small fee which I greatly appreciate), and they're always so nice and gentle with my senior cat. She's given me a few health scares since I've moved here about 2 years ago, and they've always been able to find the problem and assuage my fears. I know there will come a day when there's nothing they can do for her, but they're so nice to both me and my cat and there's no other vet I'd rather hear that news from. They also always give you an estimate every visit before they do anything so you can pick and choose which items you'd like them to test and do procedures for first, if you don't want all of them done. so there's never any surprises on the bill. I also love that they follow up with me over the phone over the next day or two to make sure my kitty is doing well with the treatment they prescribed; it shows that they really care and aren't just in it for the money. I'm so glad I was able to find a vet like this so close to my home when I moved here, it's been a godsend. I highly recommend this pet hospital!!

We were temporary caregivers for two pit bulls who initially needed shots and then medical care. Our experience at Apache Animal Hospital was worth more than a five star rating. They were kind and particularly good with our large and sometimes unruly dogs. The dogs ran in each time we visited as if going to see old friends. We have taken all of our pets to Apache for many years. The staff has been nothing short of AMAZING to us and our pets! Our pup had an allergic reaction and the staff comforted her and us equally. They go above and beyond at every turn and they care. We had to euthanize our elderly dog there and they were so respectful of our feelings and even have a separate entryway to respect privacy during a very stressful, sad time. Dr. Cleary rocks!

We used to bring our dog to a vet clinic associated with a pet supply store and felt dissatisfied with the care, appointment availability, and corporate feel of their clinic. Apache Animal Hospital was a like a breath of fresh air. Appointment availability was much better and the staff was very friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and trusting. We like working with a local clinic as well. They were very clear and upfront about costs. They also offered discounts for basic medications like heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Cost wise comparable to the larger pet hospital but way better service!

Dr. Gjevre at Apache Animal Hospital is one of very few veterinarians in the metro area who takes care of rats and other small pets. She is not only knowledgeable, but also honestly enjoys them. She has taken very good care of my pet rats, and I highly recommend her.
