What I still find frustrating is they'll come out to get your animal and you can't go in with him/her. But will come out to talk to you. Which has turned to me going to another clinic so I can be with my dog as she's nervous around strangers especially during physical exams. No other issues- but more pressing issues I have another clinic I go to as I hate to not be in the room with my animal. Dr. Maczkowiak has been there for many of our animals and he has years of experience!

I had to get some of my pups teeth pulled and had quotes from several other places that were 2-3x what these guys quoted, and when they were finished the final price was LESS than their quote! I'm very pleased with the whole experience. They don't price gouge and they treat their patients like their own. 11/10 would recommend!

I was there twice with my Jack Russell Terrier, first time when I was pregnant, second time after I had my baby. The receptionist was friendly both times, and very helpful, but the vet himself was extremely rude and arrogant. When I was first there, he had me hold my dog while he trimmed her nails and while he was "trimming" her nails, which was more like he was trying to clip the air in front of her, she kicked me in the stomach and sent me to the hospital later that day. Regardless of this incident, I did take her back after my son was born. I was quoted the amount for her rabies shot on the phone, and was told that there wasn't an examination fee. When I arrived, the vet started an examination, and when I confronted him, saying that she had an exam less than 6 months prior and I was only there to update her rabies shot, he got vocal with me, called me stupid, and told me that it would cost upwards of $200, not the $120 I was originally quoted. I left, and since then I have been dealing with another veterinary clinic with better pricing and customer service, and a vet that doesn't treat me like I'm stupid. I would not recommend Animal Ark to anyone simply because his "bedside manner" was atrocious, even though the other staff was extremely friendly.

Our dog has been going to this Vet his whole life, as our cat before him (died at 16 years old due to an untreatable virus). Our dog is 12 years old now, and still going strong. Each time we have taken our dog to this vet we have been happy with the results and the staff. We have expected some large bills over the years. Seven teeth removed, and almost lost him due to a sitter that thought feeding him raw food was more natural. We payed about half of what others want for dental, and when he was in dire need of attention after the negligent sitter the vet clinic took him overnight at no cost to watch and make sure he made it through the night. They are not greedy at this clinic, and they care for your pet as you would.

Love Dr. Dell. She cares about my animals as if they were her own. I also find their prices better than a lot of other places. I'll continue to bring all my pets to her. (Currently 3 cats lol). Unfortunately she also helped put my last kitty to sleep 2 years ago. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do but from her side she was compassionate and empathetic and knew how hard it was for me, giving me as much time as I needed to say goodbye to my princess. I knew going into that visit that it was the only option left but it was still hard to hear those words knowing my kitty should have had many more years ahead of her. (It was no fault of Dr. Dell that it came to that point, she did everything she could to save her).

Brought my dog in for a nail trim, had to switch vet clinics as I just moved. Never had an issue with old vet clinic and my dog is very anxious and high energy. When I told the vet he needed to be muzzled and would calm down the vet told me he did not have the proper face for a muzzle (he was muzzled at every nail appt at old clinic). I was then told to restrain him while they trimmed his nails and I am pregnant and had a young child with me. The technician did not help. They only completed 3/4 as I am not in proper condition to restrain a dog and was charged more than I was told on the phone for price. Will not be going back and telling all family and friends.

I just wanted to share my experience with everyone on Animal Ark Pet Clinic on 137 and and 127 street. I have been going there with my pets for over 16 years. My first pet was skruffy and they took such great care of him until the day skruf went over the rainbow in 2014. The staff are so caring and supportive and understanding. I hold a special place for all the staff especially Danine in my heart. My recent experience was so great as well as she came out and got my fur baby Bubbles from my hands as Bubbles went to see skruffy. I know covid and all but covid or not she feels my pain and I am so greatful that i had the chance to have them as my pets clinic. The doctors are caring and gentle as well. If you want your fur baby loved and to be save go to Animal Ark. They really are outstanding in how they handle the parents heartbreak and milestones and everything. Thank you Animal Ark for everything you have done for Skruffy and Bubbles.

Not impressed. Took dog in a year ago...kennel cough, no look into her heart murmur which as actually congestive heart failure, despite them knowing she had a serious heart murmur. Took her back in, out her on triple heart therapy but NOTHING for her cough. Phoned to get her prescription faxed over to Costco to refill, was told they would call me to confirm...that was 24 hours ago. They have not called yet. Not to worry though, I put my baby down, she had a seizure (which the vet said was normal only to find out after I brought her into. 24 hr vet that seizures were NOT normal for dogs with CHF) Do not recommend at all

We have had amazing care with our cat every time we have seen Dr. Nell (I think that's how it's spelled). She has taken her time to get to know our cat every time we have gone in, instead of rushing through the appointment. She is great at truly taking care of her patients. Pricing is not a concern at all. The cost of treatments and medications here are very reasonable and standard amongst most other pet clinics. They really go above and beyond here. You will not be disappointed if you choose Animal Ark.

We have been going to Animal Ark with our rescues and adopted cats for over 10 years and I think they are amazing! The techs and Dr. Dell are so caring, honest, knowledgeable. They always have your fur babies best plan in mind and work so hard to make sure they are healthy and happy. When it has come time to put a fur baby down or if they pass, everyone goes through the grieving with you. You can see how much they all love animals and the job they do.

our dog had an autoimmune disease and our vet on the west end was giving us steroids to keep him going ($$$$) and on thanksgiving weekend (Friday) i realized how much pain Bandit was in so i called this clinic at 430 and begged them to take him in before the weekend. Dr. Mackowiak was extremely compassionate and she allowed me time to say my good byes and to hold him in his final hour. i dealt with the billing on the next Tues and nothing was said about not paying on the Friday. they have my business as long as i live in Edmonton. we have been going here for 13 years. I prefer the female vet but that's because she was the one who dealt with bandit.

I have a senior dog that sees Dr. Dell, and a puppy now too who also sees her. I have always found her to be very intelligent, up to date, and willing to explain everything to me. She is also gentle with the dogs and kind to me. She will recommend tests or procedures when they are necessary, but she doesn't recommend things for no reason. I find the prices in line with previous vets, and less than some. Her staff is always friendly and will do all they can to help. They also follow up when one of my dogs has been treated there for an illness, or at emergency for illness or injury. I have also seen the male veterinarian there (Dr. Markawiecz I think) and he has also been excellent. I recommend this clinic highly.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Expensive and poor approach to pet care. Recently my dog had a hematoma. She previously one in her other ear and so we knew what to expect.... or so we thought until we took her to Dr. Mackowiak. He cut her hear such that her condition returned weeks after, so we asked he "fixed it" again. Again, he didn't put stiches in so it became infected and swollen and the hematoma returned for the second time again. This time we took her to her regular vet out of town. My dog had to be sedated 3 times in one month as a result. Her ear will be permanently scarred because of his shabby work, and on top of this he charged twice as much as the vet we took it to fix the whole fricken mess. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Expensive and poor approach to pet care.
