I could not believe the total lack of caring by this vet. I was from out of town and our dog had a tear on his ear which was infected , how serious I do not know. There was no customers in her shop(which does not surprise me) and she advised NO NEW PATIENTS and advised me to go to the States or Castlegar to see a vet. Would not take 5 minutes out of her time. I would not go to this vet if she was the only vet in town! Oh hold on she is the only vet in town!

I highly recommend this very caring team of professionals for your furry ones!!! I love that the vet is both traditional and holistic. My family and I were camping in the area (we are from Kelowna) and we thought we would have to put our 9 year old girl down one morning because she was crying in pain, but ended up walking out of there with a much happier dog. They are affordable, ethical, honest folks!

Recently our dog became ill and needed vet intervention. I was hesitant to bring him to Dr Scholz as I had heard mixed reviews and was looking into other options. After speaking to different vets I decided to give Dr Scholz a call to see her opinion and I am so happy I did. Dr. Scholz was absolutely fantastic. Her compassion, open communication and veterinary knowledge are impressive. She went above and beyond to help our dog and got him back to health in no time. She was very mindful and used tactical procedures that were logical and to the point. Her prices were fair and her services extensive. Thank you Dr.Scholz!

I walked into the Grand Forks Vet office two days ago without an appointment and asked for some worm pills for my dog. The receptionist said I would have to bring in my dog and pay $55.00 for the visit and another $60.00 for the pills. I have been worming my dogs for many years and never have I had to bring them in for an appointment. If I had three dogs would I have to make three appointments. I know a gouge when it happens. BTW the next day I was in Colville WA and got the pills from a vet for $15.00. I like to do business locally but not if I am going to get ripped off.

Very happy with the care that I have received for my dog. He was in the clinic last week to be neutered and had absolutely no problems during his week recovery time. The staff was very helpful with explaining his post-op care to us. Very friendly staff. They definitely put my dog at ease as well as myself.

I would honestly recommend this place for anyone who doesn't have a few extra screws loose. This business is here to take care of your pets. The price you must be willing to pay. That is, if you truly love your pet and don't think of it as an accessory for your friends amusement or heightened social status. Have a pet that you love and are willing to pay the price for to make it better and bring back your friend and acquaintance. Again, DO NOT enter if you are not willing to pay. The closed staff list is because people like those who have accessory pets are willing to beak about it to a person who is probably making less money than you are and is still pulling thirteen hour shifts FOR YOUR PET. Let me reiterate, the good doctor that works here works herself into the ground and forgoes time with her child FOR YOUR PET. so next time if you want to gripe and complain about cost and whatnot find yourself a different vet because she does not need people like you as her clients. Not happy at all!!! I had a very negative experience as well as my dog with this vet service, especially the vets assistance. (blond hair, dont know her name) Ive had dogs for over 15 years, many dogs. Im very knowledgeable and put my dogs first. This assistant was rude, thought everything I was doing with my dogs was not good enough, questioned everything I had to say. Though she could handle my dog, my daughter had to eventually hold my dog??? I was told the bill would be $60, ended up being $100. Will not be returning, such a negative, horrible experience.
