We were walked through the procedure and our furbaby was well looked after. We switched our pets to Wascana Animal Hospital when we moved to the east end of the city, and I’ve never had a complaint. The vets and staff and all very welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable, and you can tell they genuinely love and care for the animals they see every day. The office has relaxing music and hormone diffusers to help calm down anxious animals, and they can even get our neurotic chihuahua to chill out (which is no small feat). The vets are all very personable and friendly, and when our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes, they were very quick to get him back into the office the same day to go over his care plan, and made sure we had all the information and supplies we needed to care for him at home. 10/10 would recommend Wascana Animal Hospital to care for your animals!

My dog HATES the vet, even though everyone is very gentle and respectful. We've been going there for a few years now, and have met (I think!) pretty much everyone there. The vets are very careful to do a thorough examination, but do their absolute best not to stress her out. I always get a warm welcome, and they welcome the idea of people bringing their pet in to just socialize! I love this place and will never change.

I am in the clinic every two weeks for acupuncture/laser for the last year and also a client prior to that. The general atmosphere and attitude of the staff is awesome, from reception and the techs to the Dr’s everyone is so knowledgeable and welcoming. I highly recommend checking them out if your in Regina or nearby. Calming music playing is also a nice touch, and always smells nice and is clean throughout. Will be a lifetime client.

The veterinarians and employees at Wascana Animal Hospital are incredible. We have three dogs and one cat and the whole team is super supportive of our pet family’s needs. We also purchase food for one of our dogs here who has severe allergies. The veterinarians here also helped my get my one dog on apoquil, which changed his quality of life. He used to scratch constantly and no matter what we did (diet, hygiene, environment) it never improved. They worked to help me find a solution that worked for him.

Vets are well qualified. Very expensive for shots and check up. 1st shots for 2 kittens plus exam = just under $500. Need 2nd and third shots = just under $500, then finally 3rd shots and spaying for 2 kittens = $600. Better to adopt kittens through animal shelters where shots and spaying are covered = 2 kittens total for adoption just a little over $400.

I was having trouble booking an emergency appointment for my Gerbil (exotic pet) and when I called this place they made sure to get me an appointment the next day, compared to other places that could only take my Gerbil the week after. It turned out nothing was wrong with my Gerbil except heat exhaustion, but the Vet was very kind and knowledgeable and asked a lot of probing questions which I found nice as the other places the Vet did not ask too many questions. She even administered medication to my two Gerbils that were prescribed in case there were parasites (which none to be found) and did not turn me away, even though she was not the prescribing doctor. Much appreciated! Customer service was great and I appreciate the last-minute appointment and curbside drop-off. I Will for sure return!

Their one rat vet is beyond cruel and has no empathy toward people or animals should not be a vet. They are happy with killing my one pet because I can't afford the full check up for one pet who isn't dying and I can only afford medication for my dying one. They show no remorse and are cruel to people suffering.

I had one of my babies(cat) not feeling very well at all, couldn't figure out what is wrong with him. We brought him there, we were the first time at Wascana and Dr Simms was so nice and caring with our Yul. After a few tests turns out that he needed a special diet as he is having a mild gastritis. What a relief that was, and she assured us that everything else is good. Of we keep feeling him that food which is Royal Canin Gastrointestinal for cats he will feel himself again and maybe even improve his condition as it is mild. We did and we are very happy. We called last minute to get our dog in because her face was swollen. They got us in for an appointment within a few hours. They did a comprehensive exam and gave us necessary medication and dental treatment suggestions. They also gave us a quote for the dental surgery. We weren't allowed in the clinic, but it appears the exam went smoothly and we were pleased with the service we received.

We are so happy we take our dog and cat to Wascana Animal Hospital. We have seen more than one doctor there and, each time, they are so caring, kind and compassionate. You can tell the whole staff just loves animals. The vet technician has also been so helpful with our numerous questions regarding our new puppy. The support staff have all been wonderful and empathetic as well. Honestly, everyone there is a delight to deal with. Dr Stewart mainly looks after our fur babies and I simply cannot say enough good things about her!!! She takes the time to really explain things and is so sweet. Her followup post appointments is so helpful. We have also seen Dr Potts and Dr Sims and both are simply terrific as well. Wascana Animal Hospital is a place you can truly trust with your animals. I’m grateful we go there.

I recommend Wascana Animal Hospital to anyone who has pets. As a crazy dog mom it takes a lot for me to trust my two furchildren to just anyone. Dr. Potts and the staff here are always very welcoming, informative, helpful and compassionate. We had to go through losing a dog in 2017 and the empathy that was shown was over and above. No problem is ever too small and they make you feel like all of your concerns are warranted. If you need a vet this is the place to go.

Absolutley in love with the staff here (specifically Oreon and Dr. Ulmer). I took my kitten in to be spayed and they were very kind and patient with me (and her) the whole time. They answered all of my questions very thoroughly, always took the time to explain to me everything that happened and what needed to be done. My kitten had a burn on her paw so she was very cranky but the vet staff never made any negative comments on her cattitude!! I know she’s a lot to deal with when she’s mad so this was very much appreciated. When they called me to say she needed lol antibiotics, they went over every option with me and what they recommended. Her spay was done flawlessly, nearly invisible stitching and no redness or irritation. Highly recommend, absolutley love this place!!!

This clinic is lovely. I am currently in school to become an RVT, and this is a clinic that I trust bringing my dog to. The first time I went to this clinic, I originally came for a brief exam and vaccinations. As my appointment progressed the DVM inquired about a number of different things spending an hour with me reviewing some things that wasn't originally a concern and explaining to me things I should be watching for. Not only was the DVM amazing, the RVT was insightful in regards to explaining to me a quote that I received for a dental procedure as well as explaining throughouly take home medication instructions. Additionally, the receptionist was the friendly face that is necessary when working in any kind of medical clinic. I would recommend this clinic to any friend and look forward to a future of exceptional pet care at the Wascana!

I have taken both of my cats to Wascana Animal Hospital. Each time I've found the staff to professional, kind, and thorough. I've taken my cats to other vets and this is the only clinic that calls to check in after your pet has been to see them. The staff explain things thoroughly and answer any questions you have. I have never felt rushed or like my concerns are brushed aside. I've always been satisfied with the service I have received and the care my pets have received. Wait times are very reasonable. I've never felt like I've had to wait an excessive amount of time to see the doctor or to settle my bill at the end of the appointment. The one aspect I appreciate most is that I am always able to get in to see a veterinarian should my pet be in dire need of medical attention. The staff decided to hold down and forcefully clip my rescue dogs nails - after being informed of her history. She’s since regressed and won’t even let us touch her feet. The staff bragged about the fact that it took so many of them to restrain her and I can only imagine how stressful this experience was for her. Additionally, the front desk staff are rude and I accommodating. They also make it almost impossible to request your vet records and argue that “legally they can’t forward the records” They are overpriced. Unprofessional and in my opinion inexperienced with large dogs and high risk rescues. They’re also rather unorganized

Attended Wascana Aminal Hospital to get our day updated vaccines and to check a chipped tooth and new rash. The Staff was helpful and got us in quick. The Vet was informative and gave us treatment options for both the rash (which was diagnosed as allergies) and the chipped tooth. One option for the chipped tooth was even to go to a specially oral vet outside their practice. Nice to feel heard and not pushed into more treatment.

The minute I walked in the door and was greeted by the receptionist, she made me feel a little more comfortable. I was still nervous until I met the vet. She was awesome. I told her that I was a first time puppy mom and she instantly made me feel very comfortable with her reassuring words and the way she treated my puppy. The vets name was Jane. I would highly recommend her and the rest of the staff.

Our little dog is a recent rescue, who was very,very neglected. She was not groomed for many years and was very matted and long ,long fur. She is very skinny and very hungry. After she was groomed , realized she was in heat. She is 8 years old. Sad story , nobody wanted her. Needless to say ,we are very protective of our. Because of the pandemic, we were not allowed in with her for her appointment. We had many questions.. The staff were very kind and gentle with our Zoey and Dr. Stewart phoned us, while we were waiting in the car,and answered our questions, while she was examining Zoey. We felt very reassured. I am incredibly happy with the care my cat recieved. She does not like being handled but the clinic took things at Kitty's pace to make her comfortable. They were able to do a full health exam and vaccinations. Previous clinics have not been able to do the exam because kitty was growling and lashing out at being handled. Take your fearful kitties here!

I went in to have my dog checked for an ear infection, which she did indeed have. My bill came to $195.00. I have been to vets before for ear infections and I have never had a bill nearing this amount. I felt this amount was absolutely ridiculous. I won't return.

COVID has made dealing with any business very difficult but with proper precautions I should have been able to accompany my dog into the building & examination room. That is one reason for the poor rating as well as the extremely high charges.

Was looking to get my dog spayed, and this vet was accommodating to begin with and scheduled me appropriately. I then called 2 weeks prior to ensure I had the correct drop off time, and notified the staff that I am a health care worker, I would be working night shift the night before the appointment, so I was going to be sleeping and unable to answer the phone for confirmation, so just to consider the current phone call the confirmation, and they agreed. However, the day before my appointment, they called to confirm via voicemail, and then two hours later called and cancelled my appointment via voicemail because I hadn’t called back, as I was sleeping. I called whe I was available, and although I gave them warning of my situation prior, they were unaccommodating and stated that there weren’t appointments available for weeks. I understand needing to keep appointments, but there is life outside of pets and this buisness needs to understand that people who work are not always readily available to their phone at the drop of a hat, let alone shift workers, especially when given prior notice from the client. Very disappointed in the service and will be taking my dog elsewhere.

We took our 16 year old dog to Wascana Animal Hospital because she was having some age related issues. The vet was very friendly and caring. She answered all of my questions and suggested that we try some supplements and fluid therapy that have worked very well in the two days since our visit. Our dog had very stiff arthritic legs, some kidney problems and continual gunky eyes. She is walking more easily now, they cleaned her eyes which has made her more comfortable, and she definitely has less incontinence. Thank you Dr. Stewart and Wascana Animal Hospital.

We have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Ulmer and Dr. Potts for many years now, we specifically worked with Dr. Ulmer as our beloved cat aged and came up against serious health issues, she was there with him as he took his last breath, she provided our family as well with care and comfort during these difficult times. She has also been with us as we welcomed our new family kitten into our home. She is an honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable and fair Veterinarian. She used her extensive knowledge of modern veterinarian medicine as well as her knowledge of nutrition and acupuncture to come up with a successful treatment plan for our dog. The entire staff at the WAH will not disappoint, they continue to go above and beyond whether you are picking up food or going over medications. They are there to listen and assist every time you are in, no matter who you deal with the staff are all knowledgeable and caring, a very consistent team. The WAH facility is a great facility whether you are bording your pet or are in for an appointment, a very clean and modern facility with the latest technologies. You will not be disappointed, we highly recommend this team and this clinic!

My usual vet office told me they were booked and to look elsewhere (after being a client of theirs for 25 years).
