I cannot comment on the boarding aspect of this business, but am super happy with the self-serve grooming options they offer. We took our Great Dane in and used the UBath for him. Our normally very skittish guy had no issues in the spacious shower/bath area (after some coaxing!). We brought our own supplies and it was great value. The two employees were super friendly and professional. A great place for those that have big guys that need a bath!

We were informed on the spot that having vitamins premixed into our dogs food was going to be an additional $2 per meal. This made no sense to us, seeing as there is no extra effort required and have never had a similar charge from other boarders. The worker at the front desk (should have got her name) was rude and condescending in explaining it to us and told us we don't have to leave our dog there, instead of a number of different things she could have said or done. There is also no green space for the animals, and since our dog has bad hips, this is bad for his joints when he runs/plays. Again, when we asked about this, the front desk was rude and condescending, saying that they were trying to prevent ticks... odd seeing as it is an industrial area and no other boarders with grass have this concern. My dog was happy when leaving, so I imagine his care was good. However, for customer service alone, I would never recommend this establishment to others. I just want my dog to be cared for, I don't need to be talked down to in the process.

We own two very different dogs. An old, grumpy beagle and a younger, VERY energetic border collie/lab cross. Both of them absolutely LOVE going to VIP. All we have to do is say VIP and they both run for the door, tails wagging like crazy. Our younger dog hasn't been able to go for over a year due to some congenital ACL issues (she's recovering from her second surgery on her second leg). We have to sneak the beagle out of the house to go and even then she just knows and is despondent for days she misses it so much! Most impressive is the staff. I do workshops on hospitality for Catholic parishes through Southern Saskatchewan and I use VIP as one of my examples of people who make a real effort to know you and your pets by name almost immediately and remember details about their personalities and needs that show you just how deeply they care!

Just picked up my GSP dog from here after 12 days. My GSP is a very playful dog and has a bit of seperation anxity and don't eat much unless someone is with him. I brought a 15 litre of food with him ( thats over a litre of food a day). I had him to the vet the day before and he was 88 lbs. When I picked him up his weight was 79 lbs and his bin of food was empty (lost 9 lbs!). Hhhmmm... I called the VIP and spoke to the supervisor ( should of got her name) She said that she was told that my GSP ate all of the food and gobbled it all down (fed twice a day at scoop and a half). My dog don't gobble down food and as said before will not eat that much unless someone is there. Asked why he lost so much weight if he ate all his food, she indicated that probley because he get more exercise there. I have a big yard and my dog gets lots of exercise at home, goes to dog park, roller blades also. The bottom line is that if the dog did not eat his food and lost weight fine, be honest with me. But what happened to his food? Are they feeding it to the other dogs? Not cheap food I feed my dog. Also VIP don't ask questions when you bring your dog in about any specilial needs and they don't give you any info on how your dog did when you pick them up. Had my dog to other kennels and they seemed more up front and honest. One of the most expensive kennels around, I would expect better service and treatment of my family member. Very disappointed in VIP service. I'll let you know if they get back to me about my dog. Update: Never did hear back from VIP's owner. 4 month's later.

Amazing place and the staff is incredible, may little guy has been going there for years, and I am sure he wakes me up in the morning to go play with his friends. They will also bath and do your dogs nails, as well as over night boarding. The staff is also very knowledgeable and all of them work there because of the the love of dog not because it just a job, great place to leave your litte guys.

My dog and I both love VIP Pet care. The attendants were very careful with my dog when he first went to them. He was young and displayed dominance tendencies. They worked around it until he got older and could get along with more dogs. Sarge has been socialized very carefully by their staff and myself and he is a better behaved dog everytime he visits. PS Some of the posts that are placed here as "reviews" of your services are not necessarily about VIP but about the anthropomorphism of their dogs. Humanizing a dog's behaviors and responses and then interrupting them in human ways is not an appropriate way to evaluate VIP Pet Care's services. Please people stop doing this.

I have decided to not longer support this kennel. We had booked out dog Bolt in and were told that since my partner worked there that we would have a certain rate. We saved up for the past 7 months to go on a week vacation and were told today, 1 week before our vacation to a family reunion that we were going to be charged in full for the week long stay. If we had been this before we could have saved up for it but now that it is only a week we are scrambling to find out where we can take our dog on our budget. I am frustrated about how this went down. I was a supporter of V.I.P. Pet Care and would take our dog their weekly whenever we went out of town but the way that this went about has left me looking for a new place to let my dog stay. It's the fact that we booked him in months ago and were told that we would be paying a certain price then being told a week before the date that it will cost a substantial amount more that bothers me. If we would have known sooner then this could have been avoided. I still give this 3 stars because I think the idea is great, but I don't like the feeling I have tonight and am questioning the owners after being lied to last weekend and then this happening tonight.

I've been taking my Great Dane to VIP for 3 years now and have nothing but good things to say. VIP has not only been an absolute life saver for those busy days for me but also incredibly fun and social for my dog as well. I take my dog three days a week which allows me to have full days at work while my dog gets full days of play, socialization, and a lot of doggie-manner practice. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, resourceful, accommodating, and thoughtful. They are incredibly personable - they know me as soon as I come in and always make a concerted effort to meet any of the needs Charlie or I may have. VIP also has a great range of hours and an active instagram and Facebook that they keep updated so you can watch your pooch have a great time while you're working. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend VIP to anyone. I have a happy dog and guilt free days due to VIP!

It's not easy taking care of my crew of three dogs. But VIP does it and my dogs listen to them too! All three doggies come home exhausted after daycare. When I drop them off in the morning they bolt inside to the workers indicating how much they love it there. Very happy with VIP.

Our dog, Bear, had been going to VIP for daycare once or twice a week since he was 9 months old. Not only has daycare kept him very social, but he is very high energy so it's an awesome outlet for him. He is always very happy when he arrives and when he comes home. The staff at VIP have all been great with him and are very friendly! I also appreciate being able to use the facility to give him baths.

Before I selected VIP, I did extensive research and visits to other facilities. I was very confident when I selected VIP and in the over two and a half years since, I have always been pleased with their care of my dog. My dog attends VIP almost every single day and there are no there's no organization I would trust more with him. The facility is very well managed, the staff are conscientious and caring, everything is always clean and organized. Most of all, I know that Laura, Mike and their staff will always treat my dog as well as they would their own!

I've picked up my friend's dog from here several times, and he always seems like he has a great time. They make sure to keep him away from other dogs that might interact negatively, and he always seems really excited to be dropped off. I'm not sure about the rates, as I don't pay for the services myself, but he's dropped off at day care every work day, so my assumption is it's quite reasonable.

We love VIP. We use the doggie daycare service once or twice a week, we have never used the over night boarding services (our dog stays with family when we leave town). The staff there are incredibly friendly! They all know my dog by name and give me comments on him when we pick him up. We have been taking our dog Betsy to VIP for several years. She's always warmly greeted in the morning (as am I) and has been known to lie down when she's brought out at the end of the day. I'm never sure if its her way of saying she's too tired or she's been treated so well that she doesn't want to go home. The staff are very knowledgeable and caring! I have been taking my high energy, crazy active Australian shepherd to VIP since she was 6 months old. She's now 6 years old! She gets very excited to go to daycare every day and I don't know what I would do without daycare as walks/runs are not enough. I know my pup loves the people there because she gets excited when she see them in a local park outside of VIP. The people are great with the dogs and I always find it amazing how much they get to know each and every pet there and will often have cute stories about my dog's day. I would highly recommend VIP for daycare and boarding.

We called them to board our dog for the weekend and asked if we could do the “late drop off/late pickup” combo option. They said “no problem!” Their hours on the site clearly say regular drop off hours on Fridays are 3-8 pm, so one would assume that “late” drop off means anytime after 8, and since someone should be staying with the dogs overnight that shouldn’t be an issue. On the day of, we called around 7:30 to say we’d be arriving at about 9:30, and the lady on the phone said that wouldn’t work because they send all their staff home at 9. WHY WOULD WE PAY TO BOARD OUR DOGS SOMEWHERE WHEN IT’S THE SAME AS LEAVING THEM LOCKED UP HOME ALONE?! If a dog is as freaking out, choked on a blanket, etc. no one would know until the morning. The reviews on Google make it look like a decent place but if you look on Facebook, all the reviews are bad. Just recently saw a post about one of the workers holding a dog dangling in the air by its leash around its neck. APPALLING. Other places to board dogs all require a screening appointment to ensure the dogs are a right fit for the environment, but VIP Pet Care doesn’t require this. This makes me think it’s just a free-for-all with dogs ganging up on and bullying each other. STAY AWAY!

Great place! My dog loves it. He's crazy excited every time he goes and sleeps the entire next day after a being at daycare. I base my opinion on his reaction. The enthusiasm he shows says it all. I expect that there are days that are better than others because of weather or the number of dogs that they're dealing with, but I feel like they care and overall provide an excellent service.

We have been taking our dog, Philly here since November 2012. The staff are incredible and we always feel comfortable knowing she’s well taken care of - we even get updates and photos if we are away. Seems like a great place. Took my dog there twice and had some concerns that I posted in a previous review I wrote and the next day the owner/operator Laura called me do discuss my concerns (huge bonus points from me)My dog seems to be happy there and the 2nd time I took him he seemed for eager to go than the first time. I’ve been taking him there to get some extra exercise with the cold weather and I do plan on boarding him there in the future. So far I feel comfortable leaving my dog there for them to look after. The staff are polite and friendly and I like how they seem to know every dog on a personal level. Check in and out is slick with the key chain barcodes they give you. Pick up time is annoying, They close for a couple hours in the afternoon and I find myself sitting in my car waiting until 3 for them to open again when I get off work early sometimes. Today for exmple I’m done work at 2pm and can’t pick up till 3pm. Boarded my dog here for first time. (Dewdney location). I’ll be honest I do not like the drop off pick up times. If I’m boarding my dog it’s because I usually need to leave town for the night and drop off isn’t until 3pm for boarding and pick up is until 11 am. not convenient when I want to leave early in the morning then have to race back to pick him up the next day. They accommodate this for a fee which makes me feel a little ripped off.

VIP is a horrible company. They lie to customers constantly. I was told over Christmas my dog would be kenneled alone during the night time but in reality they board dogs from different families together to bring in more money! I was paying 35/night for my dog to be in a kennel ALONE not with another dog. Complete scam, stealing my money. I am disappointed that they feel money is more important then my animals safety. And no one is there during the nights. What if my dog had gotten hurt from this other dog? I will not be recommending this place and will not be coming again.

We just recently picked our dogs up and they were at the kennels for 6 days. I got a phone call every single day I was away because my one little dog wasn’t eating which isn’t odd because she usually puts up a hunger strike for two days but after that she eats perfect but in this case I came to find out that this kennels was feeding my 2.5 pound chihuahua an entire can of her wet dog food. I got a phone call on day 4 from a staff saying my dog had ran out of her wet canned food and I asked them how as I packed four cans which would last eight days. Not to mention this is from the Vet store and they were throwing out her food when she wouldn’t eat it all (yes because she was so full) after I asked them to keep it I was so sick to my stomach and cried to my husband because I couldn’t do a single thing for her as we were no where near home. I’m not sure how they messed up the feeding information but I couldn’t believe that they thought it was okay to feed a dog that small that much food especially because she’s a senior. They then asked if I could find someone to get my dog more canned food as I am new to the city I don’t know anyone so I said no that’s not possible and the staff said okay I will contact my supervisor and have them call you. I waited for hours for someone to contact me and I understand life happens and people get busy but when I am trying to enjoy my vacation and can’t because I am worrying about my dogs it’s absolutely upsetting and you would think someone who contact you immediately so I contacted them and asked what’s going on and they said someone would call me when they could and I ended up sitting at the hotel waiting for this phone call For another few hours. When someone contacted me they did apologize dearly for this misunderstanding. The kennels ended up charging me 12$ for her special feeding which they failed to mention to me when I dropped my dogs off and I do understand it is in the website but as a trained staff they should be informing customers of these extra charges. That’s a huge disappointment in the company they run as the cost should have been on their end when they messed up and cost me more money in my pocket on food. My other dog has a popped blood vessel in her ear which I informed them upon drop off. They clearly didn’t communicate as they called me twice about this issue and the Local Vet we take our dogs to told me to leave it alone and IF it grows we will take further action. My dog is a rescue senior and unfortunately has bad ear infections which she will forever been on medication for so her ears always seem oily from the drops we administer. The ladies who contacted me said they touched it and it’s bothering her. Yes of course it would bother her but I told them specifically what the Vet said and asked them not to touch her ear but they recommended her wearing a cone (we said no at first ) but they they said she is shaking her head lots so we agreed that they could try it we felt so bad for her. When I picked up my dogs today I just couldn’t believe it as the girl who was checking me out said it doesn’t seem to hurt her today ..... but the entire visit it was an issue ? I just feel like this place made us out to be bad dog owners when in fact we have never had any issues with the kennels before and we have been taking our girls to the kennels for years as we travel so often. We are new to Regina and we went to the first place a co worker recommended as we travel every two months we trusted her suggestion. When you have customers who pay 75$ a day for their dogs I would sure think you would want to have staff who communicate better because this is exactly how people find other places to go.

My little guy loves his daycare days. He drags me to the door, and always takes forever to leave as he’s saying goodbye to the front staff each time I pick him up. The staff, and owners are always friendly, and attentive. They will always answer any questions you may have and give you updates upon pick up. Our experience has been great the last couple years!

We’ve been taking our dogs, Buddy and Poppy, to VIP for the past 6 years and we’ve always been pleased with the condition we’ve found them in when we pick them up. The last time we took them to VIP was for a two week visit while we were vacationing. During that time, Poppy got sick (I assume because she’s a nervous dog, it was the first time in a long time that we’d kennelled the dogs and it was quite hot). As soon as she got sick, we got a call from one of the owners who let us know the situation and gave us options for getting Poppy back on track, including them feeding her rice to calm her stomach. Our dogs are our family so I’m very appreciative for the responsiveness VIP showed in helping get Poppy back in better health. Both dogs are doing great and we will take them back to VIP for our next vacation. Thanks guys.

They have lost my business. Had a disappointing experience. First time I have taken my dog to any boarding kennels and had heard good things about this place. I'm hoping this was just a one off situation. Went to pick my dog up (who admittedly has separation anxiety, but was also excited/nervous/confused due to the new environment) and was made to feel like my dog was causing the staff stress because she was pulling on her leash when I came to pick her up. One young Male yelled at the dog several times to sit down (note, I was 2 feet away...my dog hasn't seen me in a week and is very excited). PLEASE dont yell at my dog. I did not take them here for obedience. My dog is not dangerous, if you cant handle animals dont work with them. If you're yelling at my dog in front of me what are you doing to them behind closed doors. I dont suspect they were treated poorly otherwise, just not reassuring to see that. I was nervous about dropping my dog off to begin with, so this didnt make me feel comfortable ever doing it again. I know it seems minor but it was enough to keep me from bring my dog back

Our fur-boys, Spencer and Sully, have gone to VIP since they were ten weeks old. Spencer is now four years old and Sully is almost two. We cannot emphasize enough how amazing our experience with VIP has been. The staff is very knowledgeable and our boys love them! Spencer is uber easy-going and especially loves puppies. Sully (if left to his own devices), is a kisser/cuddler extraordinaire! The socialization they have received has been invaluable. Huge bouquets to VIP!

If I could give zero stars if I would. Be aware (when attempting to get money back for prepaid daycare passes) that their policy is NOT A COMPLETE WRITTEN DOCUMENT. Half of it is, but the part where they claim they will not refund for prepaid daycare passes IS CURRENTLY NOT indicated in the contract, not online, and not on the one you sign, nowhere. But the owner claims that's the policy, and it may not be written down but that's how it works. Thing is, that is not how the world works. Contracts make the world go round. And policies most certainly should be documented and made readily available for viewing. That's straight incompetence to not include it.

Dog came home and has been ill since. Tried to find a e-mail address to tell them but couldn't find one. Gracie came home fine but I noticed she has started to eat dog poop and she never had that habit before. As well when we dropped the dog off we weren't even shown the place where she would be staying. The staff seemed to be very friendly and efficient.

VIP assesses your dog to find the best play group for him. There are multiple separate yards for big dogs and a yard especially for the small dogs. The facility is well staffed and is kept clean. In the winter I appreciate that the small dog room has a heated floor.

My black lab has been going to VIP consistently for boarding and day care since he was 6 months old and absolutely loves it (he's 7 now)! He starts howling with excitement when we turn the corner towards day care. Day care was the best thing I could have done for my dog when he was a puppy as it socialized him and made walks much more enjoyable for both of us because he wasn't concerned with every other dog we came across. VIP has grown a lot and done a lot of upgrades since he started going and the staff have always been great with him. They really try to make your dog comfortable by providing beds for boarding, pools for hot summer days and 'play structures' for the yards. I've always really appreciated that the staff has gotten to know me and my dog so when I come to get him they know exactly who I'm picking up and sometimes even have a 'Beau story' for me.

My original score was a 4 star, but after leaving my cats with them for 10 days, I increased it to 5 stars. They did a great job with them. I could tell when I brought them home, that they felt quite comfortable at the kennel. The prices are very reasonable, and don't have many of the little up-charges you can find at other kennels. We will definitely be using VIP pet care going forward.

We have been taking our Maisie to VIP for about five years and have always loved the service they provide to us. In those five years she's gone to daycare and boarded there countless times and she's always very excited to go. The employees there are wonderful and get to know the individual dogs. When we pick up Maisie we are often told how her day was and any funny stories that include her. If she hasn't been to daycare for a while the staff ask with concern if she's okay (she has a sensitive stomach that acts up once in a while). What I'm saying is, the staff really care about their clients and all the dogs who board and/or attend daycare. If you have any questions about their facility or how they run it, they have no problem taking the time to answer and it is clear the staff take pride in what they do there. Thank you, everyone at VIP, for taking such good care of Maisie and treating her like she's a member of your own family!

We have taken our dog to stay for a weekend at VIP Pet Care on two occasions, and have been very happy with it. The staff are friendly, quick, and competent, and our dog is always happy, healthy, and exhausted when we pick him up. I worked for years at a kennel, and VIP Pet Care seems top-notch. If you're looking for a kennel in Regina, I would highly recommend VIP Pet Care!

I have the unique perspective of a customer and an employee. I worked at VIP about 7 years ago and even though it has grown in size, VIP still has the same attitude with regards to caring and loving your animal. We take our two big dogs there and they love it. They get excited when we get close and on the way home they fall asleep. Both our dogs have different dispositions and need to be put with different groups. VIP always keep us in the loop and let us know if there are any concerns. I trust them completely with our dogs, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters to a pet owner :) Thanks Laura, Mike and VIP!

Hi I like the care that our dogs get when they stay at VIP. They are well looked after and enjoy going back to the kennel. However I do have one concerning with the invoicing. I do think that to charge extra for opening a can of dog food with pull off lid is a rip off not only of the can but of our money. I had not noticed this charge before but the last while it appears to be added. Thanks again for all you do to care for our VIP dogs. Note: the published name is wrong.

I have been taking my my dog to VIP for daycare and boarding for a several years now, and the staff are fantastic and take such good care of her. She gets lots of opportunity to play and socialize with other dogs in a safe environment. They treat her like one of their own, and she always comes home happy...and pooped out. When I travel, I can go knowing she is in good hands.

After doing my research on this business it is fair to say you should not bring your pets here. I have personally not used this kennel myself but after reading the google reviews, seeing the Facebook post, the disturbing Reddit review, and most importantly how unprofessional the responses to their clients is. Any animal loving person can see this company is hiding something with how quick they are to be defensive and to go as far as to calling their client disturbing names. Each one star review dated 2 months back and further are all met with the same response, almost gaslighting the client. I have not once seen a professional or delightful explanation for their poor actions and behaviours. As for a company bribing customers it’s the oldest retail trick in the book. Of course you’d leave a great review if there is something in it for you. Take what you’d like from this review. These are all my opinions. Like I said previously I have never used this kennel before. This is all my own research on VIP pet care.

I just got off the phone with you asking if the lady who has been caught stringing a dog 3 4 ft in the air was an employee and if she still worked for you. You avoided and deflected which leads me to assume she does. I will never bring my animals down there again. My wife has used your service in the past so you can't say I havnt even used your service. After seeing a post like that and listening to you defend her actions I hope no one trusts this place. The fact it's taken over a week for a formal notice of the incident is pathetic at best. With how many negative reviews don't believe the good ones I have friends that will post good reviews for me too. That is a vip petcare shirt in the photo I tagged is it not

There is a picture being shared in Calgary right now but it is coming from this business in Saskatchewan. It's of somebody who works with them with their company T-shirt on, hanging a dog by its leash and collar on a sidewalk while out walking. I will be forwarding the picture to this company. I hope this person is arrested and charged with animal abuse. Do not bring your animals here

I was very pleased with our service at VIP pet care, they really made an effort with my very shy little chi and even handed him to my boyfriend upon arrival! Impressive! My other puppy (less shy) clearly had a lot of fun, she cried for the other dogs that were playing in the yard as we drove away! Heated floors, friendly staff, and that they could share a kennel, made me much more at ease to leave them. They clearly got a lot of exercise while there, they came back looking fit! :) The staff kept an eye and upped my boys food intake a little to accommodate for his exercise as well. Note: My dogs came back with kennel cough, and I just wish it would've been mentioned along with the required vaccines when we booked them in for convenience. I haven't put them in a kennel before and didn't know of this sickness. Wasn't sure what was going on when they came home sick (Cough/sneeze, shaking with a fever). I would absolutely recommend VIP Pet Care to others.
