Such a compassionate, friendly and helpful team. When our cat was suddenly very sick, we never felt rushed and they provided us with all the information that we needed and answered all of our questions and concerns. When it came time to euthanize, everyone was so kind and gentle and sweet and they were able to get us in very quickly. Afterwards, they sent a card with such kind words and two cards with her paw prints on them. We are very thankful that our Twizzle was treated so well by the fantastic staff in her final days.

Zero stars. There is a few good people working there. They corned and locked our dog with anxiety in a tiny room while they crowed around it and waited for us to pick her up. Some of their vet staff just collecting pay cheques, they shouldnt be around animals. Lied to us about medication to "sedate" her, just gave her more antiexty and terrified her. Took all three of our animals out of their to another clinic after that.

I've recently switched to here from another vet. The staff was much more friendly and knowledgeable than the two other clinics my pup has seen regularly and two others in out of town emergencies. The vet was able to explain things to make me comfortable and was proactive in finding the best approach and timing that was best for my dog but also worked for the family finances. I usually walk out of a vet upset over a large estimate, this time, I was confident and happy for the first time ever despite the price tag.

I've never been somewhere where my cats were so calm with strangers in a strange room. Their commitment to reducing cat stress is really something worth switching vets for. They're also just all incredible people who all truly love their jobs and the animals they care for. Doctor Johnson is my usual vet and she's amazing and kind and helpful and always answers my many, many questions. I've even had to call after an appointment and bring up something I'd forgotten and the vet herself called me back with answers and explained how to collect a urine sample for an additional test we'd need. They also offer a litter discount which for me, as a breeder, is pretty much a necessity. 5 stars doesn't quite cover it. I will always use them in the future and I always recommend them to people, especially with cats (because of their cat friendly practices). Plus, they don't declaw cats there, which is a huge positive for me. The one and only thing I don't like about them is that they don't have an exotic specialist :( I'd love to take my birds there, too.

I walked into this clinic with my puppy without making an appointment since I was from out of town and was concerned about her well-being. They made time for us, and were super friendly and informative. Every moment spent here was perfect for a stressed out, new "puppy-parent". Each employee here clearly loves animals and loves their jobs. The veterinarian that I saw was very calming, patient and helpful. The best part about this was that since I adopted my puppy from a shelter, the appointment fee was waived! I highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone in the Northern Regina area.

I could write pages and pages about the amazing experiences I’ve had at Lakewood. They are super compassionate with my pup. She is a very shy little dachshund cross and they are very patient with her and make her feel so comfortable. My pup got sick a couple weeks ago and Lakewood couldn’t see her as they were closing soon, they referred us to the animal hospital. I’ll admit, this was agitating. But they followed up the next day and called me to see how she was doing and if she needed an appointment. They followed up for two days straight until she was on the mend. A couple days after that I got an apology letter in the mail along with a gift card, the letter stated how sorry they were that they couldn’t see her and offered their continued support. This gesture wasn’t necessary but warmed our hearts and made us feel like more than just a customer. I recommend Lakewood to anyone that asks me about vet clinics! Thanks again for taking such good care of us.

I don’t even know where to begin. The entire staff here is beyond amazing!!! We have been taking our dogs here for a few years now and always had amazing service. But this past weekend the team went above and beyond when my little dachshund had to have emergency surgery to remove a blockage in her tummy. They kept me informed every step of the way and when I dropped her off puffy eyed from crying so much they comforted me and treated my little dog like she was their own. I got frequent updates and Dr. Sthamann even took the time to call me herself to reassure me and tell me she was doing well. The following day I found out Dr.S even brought in a home cooked meal for her to try to get her to eat! I couldn’t believe it!!! These people are truly angels. I always know they’re in good hands here!!! Thank you to all of you for everything you do!

A very nice, clean professional veterinarian. Staff is always great, friendly and caring. My only real complaint is they seem to have the words "acupuncture" and "homeopathy" posted on many of their materials (including the walls). As someone who prefers a science-based approach to most things including medicine its troublesome and often has me second guess any advice I'm given from them. Having said that, it has never been pushed upon us nor has it eclipsed the great service we have received and continue going back for. I'm hoping the quackery is there for those attached to it, and not neccisarily because the clinic is a proponent of it. Still it prevents me from giving five stars, and when I reccomend it to others (which I wholeheartedly do) it requires me pointing out his caveat.

It's been a few weeks since we took our cat into Lakewood animal hospital and I am reducing the rating by one star because of an incident that has been bothering me since we were there. My regret is that I wasn't more firm in stating what I wanted, instead of being guided out of the examination room by the doctor. The five star rating applies to the staff who greeted us.

The staff here is wonderful! All tbr doctors are amazing. My dog unfortunately has a lot of dental issues including gingivitis. They have alternative treatments other than antibiotics all the time. She now goes for laser treatments which have done wonders. No other animal hospital in the city offers this as far as i am aware

Bad experience with my dog, he started having issues around Christmas and he was taken in, they gave me a diagnosis of dental issues which i had them address and he was put on antibiotics, he wasn't getting better and it took three visits before I was told he has cancer, so I had him on meds for over two months that weren't doing anything.

Been with this vet over 20 years with my family. The one time I missed my cats appointment they tell me I have to pay before I even get to the appointment. Even when it was them that screwed up not sending the email that explains the no show or cancelation fee, the manager calls me back an says even though we screwed we will still require you to pay for the 96 for the exam. How the hell is that fair? One time that I missed the appointment I get penalized an have to pay advance! No thanks lost a valued customer an the animals that came with it! Worst experience ever

When I first went I thought the prices were pretty high but then realized that you get what you pay for. They are great people and don't push unnecessary tests. I had to put down our cat and they took their time with it and were very comforting. I was a big cry baby. When I thought that was it we later received a sympathy card and then later we received a letter from a UofS saying how they received a donation from the clinic in honour of our cat.

My family took our pets to the Lakewood Animal Hospital for years, and now I take my dog there. Unfortunately my dog fell down the stairs three weeks ago, and although the Lakewood Animal Hospital was unable to fit her in, they did recommend another clinic and even phoned me the next day to follow up and check how things went. We brought her there yesterday for her annual check up with Jenny Skific and I was very impressed with the level of care we received. Jenny Skific was kind and gently with our dog, and she also listened to all our concerns. Our appointment was at the very end of the day, but we never felt as if we were being rushed out.

It’s an amazing feeling to feel 100% confident in your veterinary clinic and to know that your pet is in good hands. I’ve been to many vet clinics in Regina, and Lakewood Animal Hospital has more than exceeded my expectations. It’s extremely clean, the staff is so friendly and they make an effort to get to know you and your pet on a personal level. They make regular phone calls to check in, and they truly make you and your pet feel like a top priority. They take the time to educate their patients on pet care, for example, the vet taught us how to properly trim our dogs nails. We were intimidated being first time dog owners, and the vet gave us the confidence we needed to do it on an ongoing basis. They email me “guides” and helpful documents when I’m feeling worried about something small and they do provide phone support. It’s helped guide us through some stressful situations without an “unnecessary” vet bill. Our dog is getting neutered next month, and we are confident with the clinic and have no concerns approaching the procedure. We definitely do not thank them enough!

Our family has been going to this clinic since we moved to Regina, about 8 years ago. Dr. Cross has been the most amazing Vet we have been privileged to have. She has been amazing with our dog, Noodles, who always loves to visit. Recently, we adopted a kitten. We have never owned a kitten before, and Dr. Cross has helped Luna grow and thrive! Yet, she never forgets to ask how the other is doing during each visit! The team is always very knowledgable, and is always willing to go out of their way to help. The environment is very clean, and they are going an excellent job socially distancing visits within their clinic.

I have been meaning to write this review for some time. This hospital is all around amazing. The receptionists, nurses and doctors are the best. They are accommodating, compassionate, knowledgeable and are all around amazing. The cleanliness and professionalism is top notch. Our cat, Windy, had a traumatic injury followed by unrelated medical concerns and in November we had to make the hard decision to lay her to rest. The wonderful care we received will never be forgotten. Dr. Latimer went above and beyond for us and provided very comforting end of life care. I will never go to another vet for as long as she is working in Regina. We recently got two little kittens that had their first vet visits today and the care could not have been better. I have been to other vet clinics and hospitals in the past and have sometimes felt unnecessary tests and treatments were done and then presented with outrageously expensive bills. I have not felt this way once about Lakewood Animal Hospital. I always felt/feel included in the plan of care, good education is given when tests or treatments are needed and I have never felt I was overcharged for services provided. I highly recommend this place for your beloved pets :) .

This vet hospital went all out for our dog Frankie. We had moved from another vet due to poor service. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to book appointments, speak to someone on the phone and visit the clinic. In our dogs assessment we were not pressured to put him through extra diagnostic tests and we were not forced to spend extra money on pet immunizations that our dog didn't need. When our dogs health declined we were given the option to give him treatments at home so he did not have to stay at the clinic. The staff were efficient and courteous and taught me how to administer my pets hydration. The clinic as there for us when our pet passed away, they were very compassionate and helpful. We truly appreciated the wonderful care that this vet clinic offered.

We had brought 3 of our puppies to be tested for Parvo as one of our other puppies got diagnosed with it. Their test said they didn't have it and proceeded with vaccination however the NEXT day they started showing symptoms and 2 days later one puppy had died and ALL of them were diagnosed with parvo! We went back and asked for our money back as we didn't feel they even did the test and they would only refund $120.00 of our almost $500 bill! How can they test negative for parvo one day and then the next day have it? Seems to me they didn't even do the test...will never trust a vet again..only interested in your $$ and thats it!

I took my 14 yo cat Dory, whom Dr. Cross examined...I had already known that Dory was suffering from extreme asthma & Dr. Cross confirmed that....she treated Dory, was very compassionate & took her time answering my questions & was very thorough with the exam. A week later, she gave me a consult call, to seeh Dory was responding with her meds... I've never had this support & care from a vet before! I totally recommend this clinic for your pets medical needs!

Recently switched to Lakewood AH and had my first visit with my cat. I had an appointment with Dr.Powers and cannot say enough good things about him and the rest of the staff. It was the most positive vet experience we have had. Dr.Powers was compassionate, timely, gentle, professional, and knowledgable about all questions I had. The staff were helpful, friendly, and even gave my cat a little toy. 10/10 would recommend this practice for cat owners!

I have been taking my dogs here for years. Front desk are very friendly and welcoming. The vets are all respectful of your choices and are good and explaining all of your options. I have never felt pressured or made to feel like my decisions about my animals were bad. When I had to put my senior dog down they made me feel safe and gave me as much time as needed. They sent a card after to my home it was very thoughtful and kind. I highly recommend this clinic.

Thank you to all the staff at Lakewood. We rushed our beloved, Divot, in as he was having major breathing issues. They accommodated the emergency and made everything happen quickly. We were prepared for the bad news and worked to bring him back so he could have his final moments with us. They were very companionate and professional. We absolutely love you guys. I drove home from our recent appointment at Lakewood feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you. Every vet we have seen, every tech and receptionist have been beyond amazing. The clinic is always so clean and we are always welcomed with open arms (socially distanced, metaphorical open arms, of course!). Dr Marilyn sthamann is absolutely amazing! This clinic is great and highly recommend! I see people complaining about the price but the cost is more than reasonable so not sure why people claim they are more expensive
